Biography:
Kana’s parents, Silla and Dren, were two extremely wealthy nobles of the sith and avid supporters of their cause. So there was hardly any hesitation when the sith approached them and asked if they’d like to volunteer their daughter to the Junior Officers Program. A rigid training system created to bolster the sith ranks with capable and loyal officers. The program was simple enough and entailed taking children when they were still very young, with the hope of training each towards fulfilling a special task or position. And for Kana, that position was a superior officer.
So Kana’s childhood was wasted on sith propaganda, puzzles and desensitizing. Her teachers hoping to turn her into a cold, ruthless commander that the sith could make use of. And in the end Kana began to believe that the galaxy was too unruly a place for the pacifistic and tender views of the Jedi and Republic - it needed an iron fist to restore order.
At the age of fifteen, Kana got her first field experience. Naturally, she was too young to command herself though so she was put under the care of a variety of senior officers, watching as they each performed their duties and hopefully learning from them. It was an interesting experience for Kana and a senior even allowed her to fire a few rounds from his rifle at one point. She never got to see any battle passed a viewing screen however. At the age of sixteen, she was returned to Korriban to finish off her training.
By the age of seventeen, Kana finally got her real post on some unknown mining asteroid in the middle of the galaxy; a small detachment of troops and staff as well as slaves put under her service. It was a quiet enough position and she was seen as a strict but fair commander, even by a few of the slaves. It wasn’t long before trouble came knocking on her door though as some bleeding-hearts invaded her base one day. The group was organised and Kana’s initial defences fell quite quickly but they didn’t make it too far beyond that before Kana contacted them, threatening to jettison the slaves into outer space if they didn’t hold. It was a gamble considering they may have just been pirates but as they lowered their weapons, Kana knew she’d scored the jackpot. The quelling of the attack not only got her a few new slaves but it also assured her a comfy promotion off the backwater station; even if it was mostly just a lucky call on her part.
Twenty and Kana was already in charge of her own ship, one of the best moments in her career and what sparked the sudden rise of ambition in her. From then on, Kana began to take as much a role in the development of the Sith Empire as possible. This ranged from giving generous donations to superior officers, to help them in the rough times, to assisting in investigations to uproot corruption within their ranks – usually leaving her to take on the burden of the dismissed officer. It wasn’t long before her potential was realized however and she was promoted to admiral at the age of twenty-five.
