Ok... this is open to any other Sith you can think of, but these are the primary three contestants IMO. Darth Revan [sp] [/sp] Darth Nihilus [SP] [/SP] Darth Traya [SP] [/SP] So who do you think is more badass, in both terms of feats and visually. It's a tough call for me... in terms of feats Darth Nihilus does some crazy sh*t, he "feeds" of Katarr and turns commits mass genocide with it's popution. And in some of the fluff fiction/comics I think he pulls an entire fleet of Star Destroyers out of low orbit and destroys them. Visually I think it's Revan. His robes look pregnant doging, as does his mask (although in KotoRII you have the option to say Revan was a girl, and i like to think that someone so pregnant doging was a girl... Imma guy btw, im just into pregnant doging wtfpwning girls). And yet Traya STILL just somehow manages to come out on top for me... i dunno why, she just seems to be the darkest of all. It's like Nihilus just tries too hard to be evil and the embodiment of nothingness, whilst Traya does it effortlessly... not to mention she made him what he is, and OHKO wtfpwns three jedi masters at once. So what do you lot think? EDIT/Addition: Treya vs. Yoda, who wins? And if that's unfair (as Treya can telekinetically/pathically wield at least three lightsabers at once) then you can throw in some or all of the following- Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Ki Adi Mundi).

It's Traya for me, with Revan in second, and then Bane - the rest of the Sith I can take or leave without much of a care. Nihilist... it pretty much irritates me to know end, because he comes across as being too generic in the sense of a writer trying to make the greatest "uber Sith" there can be and still manages to fail. He's such a one dimensional character, which is part of the point to him in a lot of respects. He was just a corrupted Force-sensitive spawned from Malachor V's destruction, and then Traya twisted him into something more and then he does pretty much nothing other than float around in space looking for crap feed upon; and then those with the uber male syndrome fall in love with his "uberwtfomfgbbq" super powerz lawlz. It makes my eyes roll a lot.
Bane somewhat falls into the latter bit there, because he was largely being groomed to be the character that would be labeled as the Sith'ari canonically, and he is the Sith'ari. So it's tolerable for me personally. Also, the tales of his going about forging the Rule of Two is a pretty fun read all the same. He clearly wasn't one of those one-dimensional Sith Lords, like Nihilist - and sought only to be evil and uber powerful. He had a definite and clearly designed agenda not just for himself or even the Sith, but the galaxy at large, in his way looked to shape into a better image or point of view.
It's ironic with Revan and the Exile, many think canonically they should have switched. Revan being the LS female story canonically, and the Exile being the LS male story canonically, personally I think they both should have been LS female canonically, because there so very few main lead Jedi female characters. Anyway, Revan, I like because while an exceeding powerful Sith Lord, it's clearly not all he relied upon, he was a strategist, and like Bane after him, he tried to shape the galaxy into something stronger and more solidified than what it was in his view. Even if it was to be able to weather an oncoming threat.
I had a good laugh when I got the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign book, because when you look at the "stats" for all the different Jedi, Traya comes out as the most powerful Sith Lord, and she also has the highest Destiny rating out all the characters at large: higher than Bane, Revan, the Exile, even Vader and Sidious. But then again, when you think about all that she set in motion through the Exile, through Revan, and all that she manipulated during the Dark Wars, it makes sense. With out a lot of her teachings and manipulations a lot of what occurs even thousands of years later, never would have. She is also really the only other character other than Vergere (another favorite of mine, but not really a Sith) out there really approaches everything on a philosophical level, I never heard any one speak of the Force, the Jedi, and the Sith like she did - not even Vergere really. Great character, and if you wanted power - she had plenty of it.

Yeah Revan obviously is great as far as not being a one dimensional character, and i totally agree with you, not enough female lead characters out there (again, i stress, im a guy myself i just appreciate the empowered female lol).
Yeah Treya's view of the force, at least on parts, was a much more down to earth view of Yoda's. She saw that not everybody could be the perfect, selfess, completely dedicated to the force being that Yoda seemed to aim for as an ideal and worked herself towards it. Or at least... Kreia did...
gonna make an edit...

Well I have not played KOTOR2 so I am not sure. I have to say how can you beat Vader. He really exemplifies all it means to be Sith. Power above all. Pride and fall of a the great one. Not to mention he was the chosen one born through a virgence in the force. Highest midichlorian count ever. All these things combined pail at the shear presence of the 6ft5 giant. I really wish we were back to the time before the prequels when EU if Vader showed up the general feel of the book just got darker and you knew death had arrived. He did not even speak that much. Fear pandamonium would then ensue any and all characters in the viscinity. After the prequel made Vader human and mortal authors then used his presence to make their characters seem ever more powerful. I call them ripoffs.

I have to throw a sith in there that hasn't been mentioned yet. Darth Sion is probably my most favorite sith, and I think he would be the more badass type. The guy cheats death. But since Darth Nihilus can feed on planets, he seems extremely badass as well. Its a tie between them two for me...one eats planets, and the other can't die.
As for traya and yoda fighting, yoda would kill her hands down, even if she did pull that cheap three lightsaber crap (I've beaten all KOTORs and the second one when fighting Traya is a BEAST to beat)
