"It'll be easy."
"Yeah."
"Simple."
"I'm sure."
"Cost effective?"
"Telling me these things won't make it happen any faster." The man grumbled into the com.
"Common, we're on a tight window. The cleanup squad is needed on the other side of the planet for some hutt."
"I still have twenty minutes and I don't feel like huntin...there he is."
-----
Myn watched the man enter the house. It was definately high class. Not quite planetary governor worthy, but the man obviously wasn't a moisture farmer.
Moisture Farmers didn't often have corporations after them.
Myn stepped inside from the balcony, the wings of his jetpack folding in on the suit. The man turned, with a look of suprise. The commando had made almost no noise entering.
"Corstar?"
"Yup."
"I don't suppose you're here for a friendly chat."
"You dipped into other people's pockets too many times Randle. What'd you expect?"
"Nothing really. That slicer said the code was imposs..."
"Cameras don't lie. You can erase some of the trails but not all of them."
"Well damn."
"Yep."
The human, dressed in a pilot's jumpsuit stood still, as Myn took off his jetpack, letting it fall to the floor with a light thud.
"It's nothing personal. But I have to kill you in the bloodiest, most grisly way."
Randle reached back behind a bookcase, tearing free a vibrosword from it's hiding place. With a warcry, he charged.
Deflecting the hits with the vibroblades inside his gauntlets, Myn lost ground, falling back as the blows rained down towards his torso. The blade came around and lodged itself near his ribcage, encountering the suit of armor. The room was filled with an electronic shriek as the blade attempted to cut through the battle armor. Kicking Randle away, the Echani drew a Shadow-18 and shot the man twice in the torso.
He fell to the ground, gasping.
"You....who....takes a gun...to a knife fight..."
The armored figure shook his head as he holstered the pistol.
"The winner."
The vibroblade slashed across Randle's throat, the blood spraying across the room. Myn slammed the bloodied corpse into the wall twice, causing a pair of bookcases to fall to the ground. Tossing the man through the front window, he fell for a story and a half before hitting the ground.
"This is Lightning Lead. Mission accomplished. Cleanup time."
"Yeah."
