Coolwell Cantina {Open}

From the outside this little place seems like any other cantina located in Mos Eisley. Inside its circular bar is tended by twin Twilek bartenders named Tik and Tak. The two make a fair living in Mos Eisley, they pay their protection, so the place is usually bounced by an unusually protective group of gamoreans. All sorts of shady deals can be found going down in this hutt pond.

Watch your step in here.. things can be pretty rough.

Ku Gonxa walked into the Cantina and sat down at the bar. His back to the wall so he could watch the door. He tugged on his trunk while he waited for his drink to arrive, he knew he'd have to figure this out eventually, for now he was happy to just relax a moment.

His drink in hand, Ku Gonxa stuck his probiscus down to the very bottom sucking up the sweet acrid smelling liquid. His right hand rubbed the grip of his blaster in thought while his nose was more or less busy.

He had considered it enough. He'd have to face this Talgo eventually. Otherwise he'd hound him into the unknown regions. Ku slurped up the last of his drink, and ordered another. When the bartender came by with his drink he dropped him a tip a little too big for the drink and he stopped.

"Whats this for?" He said turning the credits over in his hand.

Ku Gonxa looked at him for a moment. "I want you to find somone for me and bring him here." He whirpped. Ku Gonxa stuck his nose into his fresh drink and began to sip at it.

"Who?" The Bartender said looking a bit nervous.

Ku took his nose out of the glass and wiped it. "Talgo Flong, the Mandalorian Bounty Hunter. Tell him I'd like to talk with him." Ku Gonxa stuck his nose back into his glass and nibbled on the buma fruit that was in it.

The bartenders eyes had widenned to the size of a hutts liver spots. "Your a crazy fool. He's gonna come in here and gun you down in my cantina! No way!"

Ku Gonxa lifted his nose out. "He's a Mandalorian. He has a code of Honor. At the very least he'll take it as a challenge. He won't gun me down here." He whorpped, before sliding his probiscuss back into his glass.

The Bartender shook his head. Ku gonxa made a funny noise, and pulled out a small stack of Hutt Bullion and laid it on the table. The Bartenders head stopped shakeing, he seemed conflicted. "I need a translater too, just to be sure he can understand what I'm saying." Ku Gonxa whirpped.

The Bartender touched the stack of Bullion. "I'll want twice this." He said a look of worry on his face.

Ku Gonxa obliged him, and settled back into his bench, faceing the door.

The Bartender scooped up the money and called over one of his bus boys. After explaining the situation to him he sent him on his way.

Well, things were set now. Time to get this miserable show going. Ku Gonxa's nose made a popping sound as he removed it from the glass.

Talgo knew it could be a trap, but traps work both ways, like his father told him. He walked into the cantina, spotted Ku Gonxa, walked over, his shadow casting down on the ku baz. Talgo drew his blaster rifle, just in case th ku'baz decided to shoot.

"I'm glad to see the jedi didn't track you down. I would not have been in too good a mood if I found out I had been robbed of my bounty by someone whose ori'buyce, kih'kovid."

Ku Gonxa reached across the table and switched on a small black box. Which hummed almost harmonically. "Smugglers are used to hideing from all sorts of nosey interloapers, Mr. Flong." Ku Gonxa said, his voice translated into basic through the Bith translater he bought.

"As for negotiation, I'm afraid any way we go about it I wind up cuffed and delivered either quietly or kicking to your employer. So I'm afraid the only negotiation we will manage is a time and place to end this charade." Ku Gonxa tapped his blaster Barrel against the bottom of the cantina table, just to let Talgo know he was trainned on his privates. "So tell me. Since my life expectancies are fairly low in this scenario. Who paid you to find me and bring me in? I'm sure I've irritated several customers in the past. Or was this one of the galaxies sentient delicacies that hired you?"

Ku Gonxa almost didnt care what this Mandalorians situation was. He was a dead Kubaz, but he wasnt about to go quietly this time. He was armed, and when Ku was armed, he was deadly.

"The Verpine, they want you dead or alive, same reward either way. Aparrently they aren't too fond of your species' view of insectoids.", Talgo said, looking around.

"I didn't expect to find you on Tatooine. Its crawling with bounty hunters."

"Where better to hide than in plain site?" Ku Gonxa whirpped, the Bith translater sounded strange as it attempted to translate his laughter. "The Verpine eh? They have rather delicate flesh beneath their creotin shells. Tastes almost sweet." His goggles hid his eyes. "Well, shall we get on with this? I don't necessarily want to die, but I'm not one to prolongue the innevitble. The outskirts sound good to you?"

Ku was already planning strategy in his head. The few Mandalorians he's met in his life told him volumes of tactics to attempt to survive this. Ultimately though, luck seemed his best friend here, and luck seemed to be something of a rare commodity for him lately.

((Deathmatch brewing))

Talgo looked down at Ku Gonxa and said, "Very well ku'baz, you now face a Mandalorian on the field of battle."

(Does it have to be a deathmatch? Not that I'm afraid, I'm not, but what if it ends in a narrow escape or a draw?)

"What gives you the most honor then Mandalorian?" The little box sang in time with Ku Gonxa's strange noises. "Fists, blades, blasters, or anything goes?" Ku Gonxa sipped the last of his drink and laid it down on the table. "As well as when." The Kubaz casually said, slowly laying his blaster down on the cantina table.

He watched his armored protagonist, as he quietly considered Ku Gonxa's words. Where would he choose, what would he choose, when would he choose.

((This will be a full on Death Match. One of us is gonna die. And that character wont be coming back. The problem here is that we don't know when Jenno will be back. or who we'll get to judge this.))

Talgo took a moment to think. This was a bounty willing to face him. A fight that could be worthy was in the works. Talgo and all of Clan Flong greatly respected the revised code of honor written by Mandalore the Indomitable. Talgo decided to answer the ku'baz's question. After another moment in thought, "Blades or blasters?", Talgo asked. "I thought about bringing you in alive, but I see you've made your choice."

((Just some ideas on how to expand your RP a little. Think about what goes through Talgo's head? What is he thinking before he says things like this? I mean it isnt just- <with a cheesy chicago accent> "Blasters, Blasters, Blasters, Mandalore, Armor, Blasters" Right? I'm sure he's a really deep guy so he must have some tactical stuff he's thinking about. Get into Talgo Flongs head a little bit, then crack it like a pinata, and put it up on the boards.))

Ku Gonxa tugged on his trunk in thought. The Mandalorian had fired the question back at him. "Blaster Pistols then." Ku whirpped, the translator speaking for him in Basic. "It's a shame Mr. Flong." Ku Gonxa whorpped. "If we had met under other circumstances, we may have become friends." The silence between the two soon to be combatants spoke more than a thousand words. "Outside then?" Ku Gonxa said as he stood up and holstered his Blaster Pistol. He casually clipped the Translater to his belt, his hands steady. He looked Talgo up and down a moment, sizeing him up. He stood a few inches taller than Ku Gonxa.

Well, Ku was ready for it. Regardless of the weather the chips were stacked against him or not.

"Yeah, it is ashame. But business is business afterall.", Talgo said, pulling out his pistol, a standard Mandalorian recruit issued blaster pistol. This is where it ends... Talgo thought, walking outside. ...well, at least for one of us

As the ku'baz readied himself with his blaster pistol, Talgo aimed his. "Since I'm such a good sport, I'll let you shoot the first blast.", the bounty hunter said, his pistol aimed at the ku'baz.

Ku Gonxa walked outside the Cantina with the Mandalorian. His Pistol Holstered. He flexed his gloved hand and watched the Mandalorian sling his carbine. Ku tightenned his gear and adjusted his goggles to be sure they were tight. When everything was in order, Ku steadied his hands.

A slight breeze caught their loose clothes for a moment, blowing a bit of dust across the street with it. Each sentient stared the other down as they flexed their hands, hovering dangerously close to their blaster grips. Ku Gonxa's fingers almost begged to wrap around the smooth handle of his custom Blastech A-40.

With a deftness born of living a survivalist life, each man drew their pistol. Ku Gonxa got his shot off first. He instinctivly fired for the armored Mandalorians chest plate, his feet slowly stagger stepping to the right.

Ku Gonxa wasn't sure why he was even trying to kill this Mandalorian. He respected the man. Even though he knew all that would happen, even if he managed to kill him, would be another Bounty Hunter just following after him.

Talgo ducked, narrowly avoiding the blaster bolt. Remembering his Mandalorian training, he rapidly fired at the ku baz's feet and stomach. Talgo rememdered his training, the years he spent on Dxun and Concord Dawn. His training was the best any soldier or bounty hunter could get.

The mussel flash from Talgo's blaster lit up Ku's goggles. He rolled in the direction of his staggered walk to avoid the blaster red fire. As it sailed past, the smell of ozone filled his long nose magnifying the gravity of the situation. A flick of his eyes told him his cloak had been singed through by two of the rounds from Talgo's blaster fire. Ku could hear himself breath heavy and hard against the exersion to stay ahead of Talgo's blaster fire. His motion dirtied his cloak with the dust from the street. His cloak cast off dirt, and dust as it flew wildly. The moment he stopped his roll, he took two shots timeing the kick of his blaster with as quick an aim as he could. The grip of the blaster felt solid and smooth in his hand as the kick bounced the barrel. He could almost imagine where they would make contact. One for Talgo's gutt, one for his head. The flash of his own mussel temporarily obscured his vision.

(( Next response you write, try to emphasize aspects from all 5 senses, and during your characters action. Sight, sound, smell, taste (Rare), touch, and Action. Very rarely when people fight do they recall things. Also, the reaction of the environment.))

Under the hot Tatooine suns, Talgo started to sweat. The sound of two blaster shots ripped through the sandy wind. Talgo rolled to his left, the shots missing him. He then pulled out a second blaster pistol in his left hand. His grip on the pistols tightened, then the bounty hunter began rapidly firing his pistols. Talgo moved from left to right, the blaster bolts spraying all around the ku baz's direction. Up and down, left to right, blasts shot from the pistols.

Ku Gonxa cursed to himself as the Mandalorian dodged to the left of Ku's blaster fire. He almost caught his breath as he watched Talgo swiftly draw a second pistol from a side holster, and twist to fire. Cover, his instincts screamed like a chorus.

Ku Gonxa rolled out, just as the Mando openned fire again. He dodged the first two shots and leapt for the cover of a nearby moisture vaporator, letting out a grunt as he hit the dusty ground. He covered his head as blaster fire struck all around him. Dust flew everywhere as carbon scoreing tinted the sand black in places. Ku Gonxa could see from the blaster fire, that Talgo was moveing around Ku's cover to get a killing shot in.

Ku Gonxa ejected his spent energy pack and reloaded. He snapped the gas chamber back into place, grinding his teeth as a blaster bolt shattered one of the pressure tubes near his head. A spray of hot mist blasted away from the moisture vaporator. Useing the Moisture Vaporator as cover Ku Gonxa wheeled around one side of it and fired a single shot at Talgo's head. The crack of his blaster, sounded louder in his ears than thunder. The flare from its nozzle lit up Ku's Goggles.

Talgo ducked, the blast flying over his head. "I am impressed. You are an excellent gunslinger.", the bounty hunter said, nearly shouting. Talgo ran forward, he could feel his heart pumping, sweat running down the side of his face beneath his helmet. Summersaulting forward, Talgo turned to his left, just a yard or so from the ku'baz. The bounty hunter aimed his two pistols, and fired as rapidly as he could, using the spray technique he used earlier. The cracking of blasters made it seem as if he would go deaf.

((Give it a little more gas. You did really good with that last one. What do the blasters look like, what is the sunlight doing. What is your armor doing. Is your Jet pack

Ku Gonxa heard the Mandalorian running forward. His mind raceing, he removed his cloak and hung it out on the cystern of the moisture Vaporator. With his decoy in position he stealthily slid behind one of its larger pumps. He heard Talgo lay down a madenning pelt of blaster fire. His cover was blasted away as parts of the cystern exploded in a violent blast of pressureized water, and metal.

The blast caused a shockwave that knocked Ku Gonxa away from the Vaporator and onto his belly. He felt dazed, and disoriented as he realized his goggles had been knocked off. He clenched his eyes shut to the harmful sunlight. He felt around desperately hopeing the Mandalorian had faired worse. A riseing fear grew in his belly. If he couldn't find his goggles he was as good as dead.

[Xaojii]

Sand that was caught in the wind washed over the dunes. A slight far off smell of water and something else tingled at the back of Xaojiis throat as he walk through the endless desert of Tatooine. The earth made an aggressive crunching sound as a rock rolled between his patchwork boots and the ground. The hours seemed to pass and he had gone through a mineral flat or two. The smell got thicker as he got closer, and soon he was just on top of a hill overlooking a massive city. The Outlanders built it here centuries ago. He had been cast out of his clan and traveled offworld where he met a group of intrepid adventurers, what happened after that seemed to be a blur. Somehow though, he had wound up almost exactly as he started, where he started; On his desert world, castoff, and waiting for fate to intervene once again. He started down towards the city.

As he got deeper into the city, more Outlanders noticed him. Some threw rocks, others ducked for cover in hopes of not being attacked most minded their own business. Out of all of their alien smells, colors and shapes, one smell stood out to Xaojiis senses. One he had smelled before, a smell humans and most other Outlanders came to generalize as the smell of booze. He followed it as best he could, tracking down the strongest he could till he came to an average building on the edge of town which blended in with the other claywork buildings of the city. It had been a while since Xaojii had been out of the heat, and he was thirsty. Good thing he knew enough Huttese to ask for a drink.
