Early Years
A native of Iridonia, the Jedi Master Kwa Bosna had worked for the Jedi Order based on Iridonia for as long as he could remember. He was nearing a very old age, and could soon no longer have children. He decided it was time to cut his ties with the order. And so he left, and settled down with the woman he had secretly loved his entire life - Myra Gorda - soon to be Myra Bosna. Kwa wanted a simple life for awhile, before he passed away. He built a home in the middle of a distant field of Iridonia, and farmed for the rest of his life. Kwa and Myra had a child, and named him Jae. Thus, came the existence of Jae Bosna.
Jae grew up working the fields of his father, and became very strong, and hardy. However, he was no fool either. His mother taught him everything she had ever learned in school. Jae was found to be an excellent learner, and became very intelligent at a very alarming rate. His mother paid no attention to it, and continued teaching him by buying books from the local village. He gobbled information like a droid, and soon, there was nothing left his mother could teach him.
So, he continued working the fields. He became a strong and hardy young man, and his father was very proud of him. For 12 years, that's all he did with his life. Work, and study. Eventually, he became bored with it. Jae began to visit the local village, to play games with the other Zabrak children. Eventually, he was going every day to the village, to enjoy his life, rather than work it away.
On a day like any other, Jae had taken quite a bit longer to return home. He hadn't showed up, and dark was falling. So, his father decided to venture into town in search of him. Oddly enough, Kwa entered the village, only to find it completely empty of life. Everyone had been killed. Kwa searched the town for his son, and eventually found him. His face was mangled, and burnt badly. Kwa took his son to a major city MedBay. He also alerted the Order of the happenings, and that the woundings he had seen had to have been of a lightsaber.
Jae's face was gruesomely damaged, so he had to get a droid replacement for his eyes, and a metal facemask to cover the damage. He left the MedBay with a mechanical face. His father began to ask him tons of questions about what had happened. Jae had told him that a man with a glowing sword had come and killed everyone, and hurt him badly. Kwa wondered why Jae had been so lucky as to survive.
Kwa asked the Order for a transport off the planet. They kindly agreed, and gave him a simple shuttle, and some supplies for the trip. Kwa and his family went to the shuttle first thing next morning, and entered the craft. Oddly enough, inside, there was a surprise waiting for them.
It was another Dark Jedi, wielding a red lightsaber, along with 3 other Dark Jedi on board with him. Kwa was defenseless, for his lightsaber had been taken from him long ago. Jae watched as his parents were slaughtered in front of him, screaming and bleeding all over the shuttle. After their work was done, the Dark Jedi simply left the shuttle, and set it on an autopilot sequence to Korriban.
Alone, and cold inside of the empty shuttle, Jae eventually fell asleep. He awoke, hours - possibly a day or two later. He was on the dusty-red planet of Korriban, which had been long uninhabited by anything other than foul monsters.
Dark Training
A small Dark Jedi sect there had taken in him, and forced him to accept their training. Jae had held out for as long as he could, being punished daily for his disobedience. He had scars and burns all over his body - proof of a long 2 months of "disciplinary action".
He eventually succumbed to the Dark Side, and was an apprentice under the only Master there, who remained unnamed. He taught Jae the aspects of lightsaber combat, beginning with Shii-Cho, and then skipping straight to Shien and Djem So. Jae hated himself for giving in to the monsters he had to call master, but the torture vastly outweighed the latter choice. He wouldn't die here.
And so, Jae continued his training. He wasn't taught any force tricks, for he thought the Sith Cultists there hadn't trusted him with that kind of knowledge. He didn't care, for his lightsaber skills were massively better than any other Dark Jedi there. He began to plan his escape, for there was an opening about to occur in the future.
The Dark Jedi Master on Korriban was about to be leaving, on a highly unspoken mission. Jae knew not where he would be going, or what he planned to do, but he didn't care. It was his one chance to escape the dead planet, and return home.
And so came the day, after nearly 5 years of being stuck on Korriban. Jae was 17 years old, and his lightsaber mastery was excellent in the 3 styles he knew. So, he executed his plan. He simply walked out to the shuttle, and began the departure sequence. Obviously, he knew he'd be caught in the act, for there were multiple security systems the small band of Dark Jedi had placed on shuttle takeoffs.
So, out came 3 Dark Jedi Apprentices. They all had their sabers drawn, and Jae was actually quite scared. He slowly killed each and every one of them, imagining each of the as the Dark Jedi who killed his parents. His anger fueled his fighting, and he struck blow of surprising strength. After a good while of dueling, Jae had finally killed the Dark Jedi, their bodies laying at his feet.
Jae left Korriban, and set a course for Iridonia. He no longer wanted to live the path of darkness, and he wished to enroll in the Jedi Academy on his homeworld. He once again fell asleep on board the shuttle, and awaited to arrive home.
Like Father, Like Son
Jae arrived on Iridonia after another day of travelling, and he quickly changed out of his robes, and rid himself of his old saber. He didn't want anything to do with Korriban left in his possession.
He enrolled in the Academy, and the Council there had discussed the boy. Jae was much too old to become an Apprentice, and was told to apply for the Jedi Service Corps. They said if he worked diligently there, then he could be taught - part time, of course - by one of the Jedi Masters, and maybe, eventually, take the Jedi Trials.
Even if it wasn't what Jae expected, he obeyed the Council's wishes. He was infuriated with their decision, telling himself that he was ten times a better Jedi than any one of them could be. But he knew that telling anyone this would simply reduce his chances of ever getting training, so he remained silent, and did what he was asked.
Inside the Council Chambers
"The boy has been touched by the Dark Side."
"Yes, that much is obvious. I'm not sure whether or not we should even allow such a student to enter the Academy. I haven't seen such hate in one person for very long."
"He won't be given Jedi training immediately, or even in the next few months. We'll put him in the Service Corps. If he does well, will give him a part-time master, to see if he can forget everything he had learned from whoever is former master was."
"And if the boy keeps his dark ways?"
"We'll do what must be done."
A Second Chance
For about a year, he worked in the Jedi Service Corps Education branch. He went out to nearby Villages, and taught them what he had learned as a child from his mother, and he seemed to be quite good at it. He started to enjoy his work, but then the unthinkable happened. A master from the Academy said he was to begin his part-time training that day.
And so his training began. Jae flaunted the fact that his lightsaber skills were already unmatchable by most opponents. His master simply told him to duel him, and so they did. With no explanation needed, his master defeated him in one move, dismantling his footing and immobilizing him.
Jae got the message. His master told him to forget anything he had ever learned about saber mastery, and to begin again. Jae tried his best to start to fight the way his Master had begun teaching him. The Dark Jedi had taught him forms of agression, and that a good offense is the best defense. His master taught him the form of defense, parrying, and countering an opponent's move. He also never encouraged death blows, but always to disarm an opponent.
Jae had taken a long time to adjust, but he began to switch his ways, while still keeping a hint of the Dark Jedi aggression form. His forms began to become balanced in both aggression and defense, and he was once again becoming an excellent blade handler.
However, his master knew that saber mastery wasn't the only part of being a Jedi. Jae's training in the ways of the force commenced after about 2 years of learning the blade. Jae started simple - moving small items, such as rocks. It came to him slowly, and he wasn't as talented with the force as he was with the blade, but he did get it, eventually.
Jae began to find that certain aspects of the force could aid him in dueling. Force push, pull, jump, and speed all made him a more versatile fighter, and he took favoritism to those. He learned minor forms of healing through the force, and also how to sense things through the force.
Another 8 years went by, and Jae constantly trained under his master. He constantly applied to the Council to begin taking the Jedi Trials, but every time, they refused. He had frequent outbursts of anger, and said the council was foolish not to allow him to take the trials, but his master calmed him every time.
He would always give long lectures to Jae about patience, and that the council members were given their seat for a reason. Jae simply took the advice in stride, and continued his training.
The Jedi Trials
The Trial of Skill
11 years of long and hard training under his master, Jae was finally accepted into doing the Jedi Trials. His master began to train him for the trials specifically. The first would be the Trial of Skill, where he must defeat, or more specifically, survive a battle with a very difficult opponent.
For this trial, Jae was sent to an empty room in the Enclave. It was strictly off limits to everyone, except with admittance by a Jedi Master. Inside, was nothing other than brick walls, and a small machine in the middle of the room.
Suddenly, from the machine sprang a simulacrum of the Dark Master from Korriban. Jae was horrified, and simply drew his lightsaber, and attempted to defend himself.
For over an hour, the fight raged on. Jae had taken multiple scrapes, but hadn't touched the Dark Jedi Master a single time. It was seemingly impossible to get past his offensive barrage of strikes.
And then, the simulacrum turned off. In walked his master, smiling. "You survived, which is good. You've passed this trial." he said, walking away from the room. Jae walked to the MedBay, and tended to his wounds. Never had he seen a machine make something so real - and so terrifyingly accurate.
The Trial of Flesh
The trial of Flesh, his master told him, consisted of having a tremendous physical or emotional loss. Jae asked when his next trial would be, and his master said that it would be next week. However, after a good night's rest, Jae awoke in another unfamiliar place, placed inside his first home. His father stood over him, and told him what he had told him the day they were leaving Iridonia.
It all became clear. He was again on his homeworld, and this was the day his parent's died. Jae had not lost any age, and had looked the same. This was most likely his trial. He begged his parents not to go on the shuttle, and to stay there, but they simply told him to remain silent. But he persisted, yet they kept going, ignoring him completely.
And so, they came to the shuttle. Jae reluctantly followed them into the shuttle, and watched as his parents were massacred a second time in front of him. He wept openly, and went into a fetile position while he wept. Suddenly, the images stopped, and in walked his master. "Once again, you have passed." he said, touching his arm softly, and then leaving the room.
The Trial of Courage
The next trial was not told to Jae, because he and his master were "asked" by the Council to go on a high priority mission. They would head to Kashyyk, where there was a supposed crime ring popping up, that had captured one of their Jedi Padawans while on an investigation there. Their mission was to find, and possibly recover, the Padawan.
They flew to Kashyyk, and were ultimately lost as where to start. They decided they'd have to spring a trap, and Jae offered to be the bait, even if it meant impending death.
And so, Jae was "captured" by the crime ring, thanks to a few contacts and Jae being another Jedi bait. They now had two Jedi to hold as ransom, but little did they know, that Jae had kept his lightsaber attached to his leg. He sabered his way free of the ropes, and also freed all the other slaves in the compound.
However, on the way out of the crime lord's warehouse, the guards pinned them inside. They taunted the prisoners, saying they never stood a chance. Jae quickly gave in to his anger, and massacred the guards. The prisoners were grateful, but scared at the same time. Jae had deliberately released his anger, and let his emotions overcome him. However, he had still completed the mission.
He returned to his master, and was told that he passed the Trial of Courage. This made him happy, but he decided not to tell his master of the emotions he had felt inside the warehouse.
The Trial of Spirit
His master told him that the last trial could only be complete by discovering something, by himself. No missions or battles, just a simple test of spirit.
And so, Jae went in to meditation for days, just as the Jedi before him had done. After nearly a week of meditation, a vision came to Jae. He saw himself, still on Korriban, and the Dark Jedi Master dead at his feet. He was scowling, and smirking evilly. Around him stood the Dark Jedi that once served the Dark Jedi Master, but now served him. He saw what could have happened if he had succumbed to the Dark Side of the Force, and was grateful he had escaped and returned to Iridonia, even if he would remain scarred for the rest of his life.
Knighthood
By the time he was 28, Jae had finally finished all his trials, and become a Jedi Knight. He could either take on an apprentice, or remain as a free agent to do the Order's wishes. He decided not to take on an apprentice, but instead, using the next year of his life centering himself, and finding peace.
His past had haunted him for a very long while, but after the long year of daily meditation, he had finally come to terms with his past. He would no longer serve the thoughts and emotions of the Dark Side. Even if it was barely, he started to sense some light in him, which was a good thing.
He also crafted a new lightsaber, one that could accommodate his backhanded fighting style. He spent another month in the design, so it would be perfect. After gathering the materials and crafting the saber, he decided to travel the galaxy in search of ways to assist the Order.
Lightsaber: Jae's newest lightsaber was a purple single-phase lightsaber, that he crafted with a curved handle, in order to accommodate for his frequent backhanded lightsaber style. He also added a second button at the butt of the saber, so he wouldn't have to flip the saber after turning it on in order to get into his backhanded stance.

Jae approached the vast and empty field, staring into the long-time abandoned village. "This is where I was born." he muttered to himself, walking closer to the huts in front of him. He stood at the center of the village, near the fire pit, having constant flashbacks, and memories overhwhelming him. "This is where we used to play ball..." he said to himself, remembering how fun it used to be to get out of the house, and stop working, just to kick around a ball.
Jae sat down next to the fire pit. The smell of death had long been in the air of the village, for nobody had ever removed the bodies from the village after the massacre. He still remembered the horror of it. "The Sith will pay with their own blood." he remembered telling himself on Korriban, where his darkness was at it's peak.
But no longer did those thoughts crowd his mind. He was now a Jedi, and he wished for it to remain that way. He sat and thought for awhile, and then got up, as if he was about to leave. In the nearby bushes, however, came a sound. It was distinct and heavy, not that of an animal's.
"Show yourself!" he shouted at the brush, pulling his saber into his hand, and holding it in his favorite backhand Shiem style. He awaited for something to happen, but nothing came. He shrugged it off.
"Must've been an animal." he told himself.
And then, on came a lightsaber, and out lunged a man dressed in dark black robes. He jumped extremely high, and was coming down on top of Jae, while screaming.
Jae simply sidestepped from the man, and also drew his saber. He waited for the man to land, and then dismantled his footing, so he fell over. After that, he cut the man's hand off, and stared into his eyes. "Who are you?" he said sternly, his saber at the man's neck.
The man remained silent, and Jae assumed he was a Sith, sent to kill him. "You're the worst assassin I've ever seen." he muttered, beginning to walk off again.
"Hyaaah!" another man screamed, leaping from another tree, saber drawn, coming down on top of Jae again.
He dodged this man's attack also, and then looked around him. There were several Dark Jedi, maybe 5 of them. He knew he couldn't take them, all together, so he quickly retreated to a nearby cliff, where he could pick them off, one by one.
The battle raged on for nearly an hour, possibly two, Jae thought. He had killed 3 of the Jedi already - they were clearly inexperienced with the blade, and he was doing simple counters and repostes, and still injuring them. He had taken several wounds himself, though nothing too serious.
The remaining 2 Dark Jedi fled from the scene, and he sat down, panting. He began to heal himself, and eventually got up and walked back to his speeder, mumbling something...

"This is the last time I'm coming back to Iridonia."
