Zane like others of his species is of a Near-Human appearance simply meaning that he has a similar shape to that of a human. However there are very distinguishing differences between a Human and a Zabrak. The first is that Zane has several horns that adorn his cranial area. the small protrusions are a genetic anomaly that his race has inherited. The second is his unnaturally dark black skin. This trait is unusual even for his people and often only is a dominant trait in a few of the numerous Iridonian Tribes. He has a set of red markings that adorn his face and skull as well, using the tattoo's to distinguish himself as part of his fathers clan so that others may know who he is. The horns on his head are 1 inch in length and are formed in two parallel lines from the base of the skull near the neck to the fore head region.
As a traditional Jedi he often wears a set of robes that are naturally light in color. His particular set are a off white color as the tunic and a dark gray, almost charcoal color of the cloak. His eyes are a brilliant contrast to his dark skin, both being a bright blue-gray color. He stands at an average height for one of his race and is extremely well defined as the difficulties of living on Iridonia have strengthened his body. However he does have several deep scars that are noticeable by the paler color as they litter his upper torso. These are marks of learning and of training before going to the Jedi order. Like his face his body is also covered in red marks and tattoo's in order to define his place among his people as well as to notify others of his presence in his tribe among Iridonia.
He often wields dual light sabers when in battle utilizing a specific style of fighting. Both of the light sabers hilts are of a white-silver nature and the blades of energy themselves are of a violet color.

Zane had a rather rough life living on the unforgiving landscape of his home world. like others of his species he prided himself on excellence at an early age often breaking bones and pushing himself to greater heights in order to achieve true greatness. At this point in his life he learned how it was to live for himself and his people alone and did not have thoughts of adventure or the Jedi order or the hectic political tensions going on. He was oblivious to the Sith empire or the threats that seemed to be all around them at this time in his life. His father was named the chieftan of their tribe shortly after Zane turned the age of 7. Because of the political strifes that his father had to deal with, Zane had to learn on his own.
This is when he often would learn how to use melee weapons and spend days in the training halls pushing himself further than he had before. He would often be sent to a medic for treatment due to wounds he would receive from his extensive training. However during a trip to the main cities often to trade valuable weapons from his tribes craftsmen. It was during one of these trips that his life in the middle rim of the galaxy would end up changing, for better or worse he would not know for years to come. However that was still a year or so off before he would meet his first Jedi, and his first Sith.
During the year before he would be taken from his family he had many struggles. After months of feuding with another tribe, it had all ended with the death of his father. Of course the new leader of the tribe had decided it would be best that the two warring factions put their differences aside, much to the dismay of the still young Zane. This time brought great stress to the young child and brought horrible visions of the future. Vast amounts of people dying on the field of battle on a strange world, this vision was his first encounter with the force and would end up fueling him for years. For the first time in his life, Zane had begun to think about adventures off his home world.
His chance came months later as a republic star ship docked at a star port. On board as a senator on his way from the outer rim to Coruscant. With him was a Jedi Knight would would soon become the master for young Zane. Being noticed by the Jedi was easy enough as Zane would some times unknowingly use the force through occurrences and would know things before others. However, the Sith also sought the young Iridonian as well and had sent a assassin their to capture the child and bring him back for training.
The Jedi saw though the plot and managed to defeat the Sith and took the child who had lost his family due to the Sith assassin. Traveling to the Jedi Masters on Coruscant, the Elder knight obtained permission to have the young boy trained. As a youngling, Zane transcended expectations and was considered a prodigy in the order. Some one who they felt would grow to be a great jedi with the right amount of influence. After some years training at the Jedi academy, Zane was allowed to become a Padawan of the Jedi who had rescued him.
