Name:Daktus Halcyon
Race: Human
Age: Unsure...the description of the Youngling process has me confused. Following items will assume age 22.
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 180 lbs
Appearance:Daktus has a slender build, with medium length brown hair and a short goatee. His eyes are a mix of colors, with light blue, light brown, and green forming a marbled pattern that appears grey at a distance. His skin is pale. Daktus's normal outfit consists of the green robes of a Corellian Jedi, supplemented by his belt and the various pouches and other items attached to it.
Birth place:Corellia
Faction: The Jedi Order
Rank: Since I've not arranged with anyone to train me, I suppose I'd be a Youngling?
Bio: Daktus wa born to a moderatly wealthy family on Corellia, the second son of a local politician. His life was quite normal, for a child, until he was three and a half. At that age he was discovered by the Jedi Order as a Force sensitive and was given over to the Order by his parents.
The Jedi who discovered Daktus ran across the young boy at a social function celebrating his father's recent election to the area's governing body. The Knight, so far unknown to Daktus, was there seeking out a contact as part of a mission from the Jedi Council. He noticed the boy when social courtesy forced him to approach Daktus's father. Sensing the child's talent, he took the time from his mission to test him. Daktus did indeed prove to be Force sensitive and, after a discussion with his parents, it was agreed that he would be sent to the Order.
All this was explained to Daktus later in life, as he has only the most vague and foggy memories of his life on Corellia. The only home he truly recognizes is the Jedi; the only parents, his teachers.
OOC: Will add details of Youngling time as appropriate. Anything past this point labled N/A is either something I need to get more information on or something I'm undecided about.

*= With a Mod's permission, I would like to base Daktus off of the same genes that the canon Halcyons/Horns have: In short, promising to never use or develop any power done through Telekinesis in exchange for natural talent at Force Persuasion and Energy Absorption...that's not to say he might not develop alternatives to some techniques requiring Telekinesis, but that's for me to figure out, eh? And not immediately either.

RP Sample:
The following sample comes from a now-defunct SW roleplaying forum called Alienus. I played Corran Horn in that forum, and the sample is here to provide an example of what I mean by the Halcyon/Horn genes:
Corran Horn stood before his familiar lectern in the Great Hall of the Corellian Jedi Academy, looking out on the crowd before him. He noted several familiar faces, Aldron and Kharyss, Kai and Rhyss, Pergamus and Corcck. As he looked upon his friends, he looked back into the past.
------------------------------------------------------------
Corran had stood aside when Tantrick appeared. Though everything in him screamed for him to confront his old friend, he knew this was Anden's fight. Horn watched in growing concern as the old comrades fought viciously. Then Anden fell.
The Corellian Jedi rushed to the edge of the cliff, straining to help the Master. But he could not. Now, when it was more important than anything else could be, he still could not summon telekinesis. He watched helplessly, clutching the letter, as his friend fell. A small black object separated from Martins before he disappeared into the river. It hit just after him, and the world blew up.
It happened so quick, Corran had had no chance to concentrate, to absorb the blast. He was thrown back, slamming into a small stand of trees. When he regained his senses he rushed back to the cliff's edge. There was nothing but the swirling water below. Anden Martins, Grand Master of the Jedi Order, was gone. May the Force be with you, my friend.
Horn straightened. Anden had completed what he had come here to do. Now the Jedi were alone, in need of a leader. He knew he must take up the mantle. May I be half the Grand Master your were, Anden.
After a moment Corran withdrew his comlink from a pocket. He switched it to a frequency used by the Jedi for galaxy-wide news bulletins and spoke a code that enabled a new entry. Pausing, he formed his message, then spoke, "This is Master Corran Horn. All available Jedi are to make their way to the Corellian Academy as soon as possible. A meeting of the Order will be held one week from the day of this message's recording." He listed the date and set the frequency to buzz an alert code to all recipients. Finally Horn turned away to gather the Jedi scattered through the area and start home.
-----------------------------------------------------
Corran came back to himself and looked up. Seeing that the room was as full as it was likely to get, he cleared his throat. The buzz of conversation died after a moment, allowing him to speak without amplification, "My friends, you have been called here because of recent events that hold great importance for each of us, for the Order as a whole, and for the galaxy.
"Many of you have heard rumors of the destruction of the Temple on Alderaan during the Sith attack on that planet. Sadly, those rumors are correct. This leaves us short an academy. Councillor Aldoran will head the effort to found a new academy in its place." Horn nodded toward Aldron.
"Due to that, this academy will become the new headquaters for the Order. Work will begin soon to expand the existing structures to better facilitate that role..."
Corran paused for a moment, then continued, "Now, to my great regret, I must tell you all of the death of one of the greatest Jedi we have ever know, one of the most respected that has ever lived. Grand Master Anden Martins died a week ago on Alderaan." Among the younger Jedi he could sense great agitation and could hear gasps of dismay, among the older a grave grief prevailed. "He died as any Jedi should, fighting the corruption of the Dark side... Master Martins chose a successor before he died, and so the duties he now has rest from have been passed on to myself...Throughout his life Master Martins stood as a barrier, a shield for those who could not protect themselves. That is what we all must strive for, that is what we all must be. In honor to his memory and to ensure that his sacrifices matter, we must continue to resist the Dark side and those who follow it. Thank you."
