What is a Mary Sue? A Mary Sue is a character that is extremely unlikely, overpowered, and unrealistic for the setting in which the character exists. An example of a Mary Sue character is someone who can speak every language and has been to every planet...but they're fourteen years old. This test can be used to determine if your character is Mary Sue.
