Biography:
Nir Kento was born on the planet of Nagi, a planet in a star cluster beyond the reaches of the Republic. He was the son of Krei Kento and his wife Vela Kento. Krei ran a shop inside the Nagi capital city, and from a young age, Nir showed interest in taking over the shop upon Krei's death. When Nir was six, he was sent to school where he learned the art of combat, how to read and write in both Nagaian and Galactic Basic, as well as the customs and history of his people.
When Nir was ten, a team of Jedi had come to Nagi in search of Dark Jedi, who had stolen a Jedi Holocron. The Jedi had come across Krei's shop, and one of the Jedi, a Knight named Vesstar Itsa sensed the Force flowing in Nir. Vowing to return once the Dark Jedi had been found, Vesstar left Krei's shop. Nir had to wait two months before Vesstar returned.
When Vesstar returned to Krei's shop, he sat down with Nir's parents and told them Nir was Force-sensitive and he (Vesstar) wanted to take Nir back to Coruscant to train him. Krei and Vela decided this was best for Nir, and agreed to have him train among the Jedi.
Nir bid farewell to his parents, never to see them again, and went with Vesstar to Coruscant. Once on Coruscant, Nir was first trained among the other younglings until he was twelve years old. On the eve of his thirteenth birthday, Nir was made Padawan to Jedi Master Deviir Keval. Though Nir was officially the Padawan of Master Keval, he wasn't afraid to be taught by various Masters who offered.
When Nir was sixteen, he helped Master Keval on a mission to his homeworld of Nagi. The Nagai and their sworn enemy the Tofs, were at war with each other. Master Keval was sent as a peacekeeper and diplomat to Nagi, and he decided to take Nir with him. Once on Nagi, Master Keval and Nir had a sit down with both the Nagai and the Tof leaders. Master Keval eventually negotiated a fragile cease-fire between the two warring people.
On Nagi, Nir went to where Krei's shop used to be but instead found a pile of rubble among the whole block. Nir stopped a passing Nagai and asked what had happened there, the Nagai's reply was simply "The Tofs" and then the Nagai walked off. Nir returned to Coruscant with Master Keval where Nir continued to train until he was twenty-two. During those years, Nir would constantly leave the Temple to go on missions with Master Keval around the galaxy.
On the day after Nir's Twentieth birthday, he was sent on a mission into Hutt space by the Council. Nir had the mission of requesting the Hutts to supply the Republic with fuel the Hutts kept on Sleheyron. Nir met with a group of Hutt overlords on the planet of Nar Shaddaa. Nir asked the Hutts to supply the Republic with fuel, but the Hutts just laughed at him. Nir saw there was no convincing the Hutts, so he returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
Upon his return to the Jedi Temple, he went to inform the Jedi Council of his failure on Nar Shaddaa. Upon entering the Council chamber, the Council informed Nir that his mission to Nar Shaddaa was just a test. The Council also informed him, that they had sent him to Nar Shaddaa fully knowing the Hutts wouldn't agree. The Council just wanted to see Nir's determination and courage, all of which would be needed if he was to be a great Jedi. It was that day, that the Council removed Nir's padawan braid. Nir was now a Jedi Knight at the age of twenty-two.
For three years after he was made a Jedi Knight, Nir began to train various younglings, but never took up an apprentice of his own. At the age of twenty-five, Nir left Coruscant as the Sith threat increased, with one thing on his mind, aid the Republic and the Jedi in any way he can.

Nir sat in his chamber meditating, when his HoloNet reciever began buzzing. Standing up, Nir walked over to the console and activated it. The Council Chamber flashed up, as well as the Masters sitting in chairs arranged in a circle.
"Nir" began one of the Council Members "how goes the aid of Kashyyyk?" Nir frowned and said "Not as well as I would of hoped masters. The Zabrak are far more orginized than I thought, Wookies have begun to resist them, but it doesn't look good. At least a dozen new Zabrak slavers are arriving every day. I don't know how much longer the Wookies can resist."
"Nir, have you met with the leader of the Zabrak yet?" asked the same Council member. Nir let out a small chuckle and said "No. Only with his underlings, for some reason he refuses to meet with me face to face." "You must do whatever you can to drive the Zabrak from Kashyyyk. Though the situation sounds great, we cannot spare any Jedi to aid you." said a different Council member.
Nir bowed, and said "I understand masters. I will do what I can to further aid the Wookies." This time a third Council member came on and said "Good luck Nir. And May the Force be with you." Nir bowed once more and said "May the Force be with you as well." with that, Nir reached over and deactivated the HoloNet. Returning to the middle of the room, Nir sat down cross legged and returned to his meditating.
No sooner had he calmed himself, his HoloNet reciever began to buzz once more. Eyes snapping open, Nir stood back up and walcked over to the reciever. Pressing the activate button, a hologram of an armored Zabrak popped on the screen. "I am Gramor Grottil" began the Zabrak "I hear from my underlings that you have been asking to see me?" Nir looked at the hologram of the Zabrak for a few seconds before replying "I take it your the leader of these slavers?"
The hologram of Gramor looked at Nir, and then after a minute of silence Gramor replied "Yes. If you want a meeting with me, meet me on the Great Walkway immediatly. Good day Master Jedi." and Gramor's hologram dissapeared. Nir walked over to a small workbench, that had his lightsaber sitting on top.
Nir clipped the lightsaber to his belt, and walked out of his chamber. Nir was immediatly surrounded by massive Wroshyr trees and walkways built first by Czerka when they inhabited the planet long ago, and now rebuilt by the Zabrak slavers. Nir made a right, and headed down a massive walkway that was lined with auto turrets and armored Zabrak guards. Nir came to a gate that would lead to the Great Walkway. One of the Zabrak guarding the gate, came up to Nir and said "Gramor is waiting for you." The guard walked over to a console and typed something in. The gate slid open, and revealed numerous walkways each leading to a different area of Kashyyyk. Nir walked out, and saw Gramor standing in the middle of the walkway, two bodyguards beside him. It was now or never, this was Nir's chance to negotiate the departure of the slavers. Nir was going to make the best of this oppourtunity.
