Reina still did not know for sure if this reptile would kill her or not. Tho Reina saw him being dragging away to the arena she knew anyone that got in his way would not last long.
Two hours later the noghri came back with emotions that would rip most apart. Reina could sense the pure rage of the noghri. Doing the only thing she knew she began to sing to him. He started to calmed down almost immediately. He thank her. The noghri, Je'Baru, slowly walked over to the hole that was made by a former resident and said 'We will get out of here, just give me time.' His word was true. She was sure of it for in his emotions of rage she saw truth.
A few hours later a guard came by and gave Je'Baru a very hardy meal and said,
Better eat up you never know when it will be your last. But if Slath has his way, and the way you're bring in the cash, he'll keep you for a very..very.....very long time. HAHAHAHAHAhahahahaahhaah...........
The guard walked away laughing. Reina could tell by the spike of rage from Je'Baru that if that particular guard was next chosen to try to man handle Je'Baru he would be dead. Reina watched as the noghri grabbed the plate of food and crawled back through the hole to her side. She could sense that he seem nervous. She could not fathom why. He was short but he still out weighed her in strength and power. It was not until she caught him staring at her head tails. This made her nervous as well. He reached out with the food and said ...
Here eat this for I'm not hungry. May I ask why are you this color I have not seen one of your color before.
She gently took the food and as she ate she told him of her past and her former masters.
After eating the food that Je'Baru had given her, she still felt weak. The cold started to move into the cells again. She shyly asked if he would hold her till the cold air had past. A strange look came upon the noghri's face. A look of shock and disbelieve is what it was. Again Reina could not believe that this predator of predators could be like this. Whenever she came near to him he would move back. This continued until he was through the hole and into his own cell.
It was not until a passing guard came by did the noghri leap fully back into the shadow and covered Reina up with his own body. The guard just passed by with out a word or a look.
Excuse me you're a little heavy and I can't breath to well.
Je'Baru pulled back enough for her to sit up right. A chill ran up her back again because of the cold. At this Je'Baru slid over near the hole so if a guard was coming she could slid back to her cell. Here is where he huddled with Reina to keep her warm. With a full stomach and warmth she started to sing to heal her self and to give comfort to her new friend and protector.
