Appearance:
Lula is a small girl, though about average size for a Balosar. She has deep brown eyes and auburn hair that almost reaches down to her shoulders. It is parted to the right and pulled into a tight piggy tail on either side. Lula always wears her traditional youngling clothing out of appreciation for her new life (and having nothing else to wear). She rarely retracts her antennapalps, seeing no reason too.

Lula’s Parents were average citizens of Balosar, leading average dishonest lives. Her mother, Nina Kar’doza, was a waitress in a Cantina known to be a popular place for Pazaak, while her father, Avak Del'abora, sold Death Sticks and gambled to get by. Avak just happened to be an avid Pazaak player, and Nina couldn’t get enough Death Sticks. They were practically a match made in heaven.
They spent one evening together, after which Avak visited the Cantina many times but payed little attention to Nina’s advances (Now knowing she could barely pay for the sticks, not even in other ways…), and as her growing stomach became obvious he coincidently disappeared. Nina never even learned his last name.
During Lula’s first couple years of life she was either left at home with hardly qualified babysitters or kept in the kitchen of the cantina with the cooks while her mother worked. Nina, barely able to cover herself in the first place, really hit rock bottom trying to care for Lula and cope with her addiction. Out of desperation she took outrageous loans from shady characters, hoping that she could make it as a singer and pay it all back. But alas, Nina turned out to be a flop in everything she tried, probably just to strung out to get anything right. She was a terrible singer and actress, she lost more than she gained at Pazaak, and as with Avak, no one quite found her “other” favors quite worth the credits. Eventually the loan sharks became fed up with Nina’s lack of payment and took Lula instead when she was about three years old.
Lula was taken away, half way across the planet to the loan shark’s private estate, to wait for her certain doom. Though it didn’t take long for Lula to give them the slip and disappear into the city. True, the loan shark was a powerful being and could have had Lula back if he so desired, but taking her from her mother was an act of cruelty more than anything else and the time and resources used to find the young girl could be put to far better things. Or worse, however you look at it.
