Currently:
Been working slowly through The Story: The Bible as One Continuing Story of God and His People.
And I'm also reading The Lost World by Michael Crichton.
I just finished Copyediting and Proofreading for Dummies by Suzanne Gilad... because I'm thinking of getting involved in that as a career.
And also the volume one Omnibus of Tales of the Jedi graphic novels.

Cloak of Deception. Its not bad, but a Sidious-centric book prior to RotS is a pretty stifled affair. I'm surprised Luceno is slipping in so many clues that Palpatine and Sidious are the same, when so many stories at the time were not allowed to delve into the obvious. Though I believe this was their first EU book set in the period, so perhaps that policy was not set in place. For example, at some point Palpatine very obviously mind tricks someone into agreeing with him and apparently spends a lot of time in hoods when noone's looking.
Hopefully, I'll finish it soon and will start Darth Plagueis, which is Cloak of Deception 2nd edition in many ways, being the Darth Sidious novel Luceno wanted to write the first time.

Still working through the Story, but I'm also reading Travels by Michael Crichton, a nonfiction account of, duh, his travels.

Also finished Travels.
Now I'm reading Die Trying by Lee Child. (Jack Reacher #2)

Just found out that the UK audiobook versions of Harry Potter are read by Stephen Fry, so I'm listening to those. It is heavenly.

About 2/3 of the way through Star Wars - Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter by Michael Reaves.
Originally when I was reading through the EU, I skipped over this, because I didn't think I'd find it interesting. (Same with the Clone Wars era novels later on.) But recently I'd been thinking of rereading everything, and this time, I won't skip anything. So here starts my rereading of the SW EU. (I know there are earlier novels--Dawn of the Jedi, Darth Plageis, etc.--but I've read those in the past year, and still remember them quite well.)

Nice. ;p Scoundrels is pretty good.
Anyway, finished Shadow Hunter, and the ebook Saboteur that was included in the back... And so I'm back to more Poe while I wait for more books to come in from the library.

I'm reading The Ethos Effect right now. It's a science fiction novel by L.E. Modesitt, Jr. I've never read his work before, but he does have a good sense of character and voice.

Let's see... since I've been here last, I read and finished 206 Bones by Kathy Reichs, and now I'm almost done with Kill Alex Cross by James Patterson.
I've also just picked up Windows 8.1 for Dummies in preparation for my new computer. But now I'm wondering if I just want to use Win. 7 instead. Oh, the dilemmas.

Just use Windows 7, you'll be happier. HP has made a point to shift its sales focus away from 8 and back to 7, using labels like, "back by popular demand."

But my bank account won't be. ;p Computers with Win. 7, that I've seen, are more expensive and have crappier processors compared to Win. 8/8.1 ones. Anyway, finished my James Patterson book, so I'm back to reading Poe. Waiting to read the new Darth Maul book, but my library only has the ebook and eaudiobook so far, and I want the real deal. Grr.
