Name: Polcyc Easym (POLE-sick EASY-em)
Race: Abyssin
Age: 150
Height: 6' 6"
Weight: 269 pounds
Appearance:
Polcyc is well over six feet tall, with greenish-tan skin and a single large brown eye that dominates his forehead. He has long limbs, and since he is only about halfway through his lifespan, he has long dark brown hair that fall in tresses to his shoulders. For clothing, he has dark brown Jedi robes that clash horribly with the color of his skin, a utility belt containg among other things a place for his lightsaber and a pouch containing a comlink. On his feet, are tall black boots made from synthleather and underneath his robes is a tight black jumpsuit also made from synthleather.
Birth place:
Easym Clan Camp, Byss
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Jedi Master (Sentinel) | Member of the Jedi High Council | Jedi Shadow
Bio:
Polcyc Easym was born on the Outer Rim world of Byss to the Abyssin Clan Easym, at one of their camps, during a period of the year when the Clan and it's herds chose to remain in one spot. This was a rare move, for usually the Abyssin clans do not remain in one spot for to long, but for the Clan Easym there was a motive behind this. A rival Abyssin clan, Clan Cravck, who had slaughtered part of Easym's herd the month prior due to a water supply dispute, was rumored to be heading their way. It was a chance for Clan Easym to get their revenge.
Polcyc's father, Freyherr, was one of the chiefs of the clan, and was directly involved in this decision. About a month after Polcyc was born, Clan Easym and Clan Cravck became involved in a Blooding, which was a brawl that could only end when all of one clan's members were either dead, captured, or incapacitated. It was a brutal fight, and Polcyc's mother, Vasilya, fled the camp with him before the Blooding became large, and headed south a few miles. Not wanting to go too far away, she just wanted to go far enough away to ensure Polcyc's safety until the end of the Blooding. The Blooding would last the whole night, and as his mother would tell him, the roars and yells could be heard for miles.
When the Blooding finally ceased, Clan Easym was victorious. Although, Freyherr was one of the many of Clan Easym who was killed during the Blooding. Vasilya would never take up another mate, and Polcyc would remain an only child. For the next four years, Polcyc would do nothing but follow his Clan, living a Nomadic lifestyle. This would all change one night, while Polcyc and his Clan slep for the night.
One night, a few months after Polcyc's fourth birthday, his clan slept for the night along a crest of dunes, when he was awoken by the sounds of blaster fire and shouts. When Polcyc awoke, he saw a group of "Armored Demons" shooting and hacking at already dead Abyssins. He tried to get to his feet, but was knocked down by four of the "Armored Demons." Normally, four people were no match for a fully grown Abyssin, but since Polcyc was only four, he was an easy target.
The four men slapped a neural disrupter around his neck and restraints around his wrists. The "Armored Demons" were actually Devaronian slavers working for a Hutt Crime Lord from Sleheyron. The Devaronians landed on Byss, because the Abyssins were renown for their great strength, and they were looking for children to take back to the Hutt to work as slaves until they were old enough to work for him. Said Hutt, a vile and despised Hutt named Ojoba the Hutt, was strange among the Hutts, for he only kept slaves he intended to use as muscle, as slaves until they were old enough to work for him.
The Devaronian raid lasted only a few more minutes, and despite the healing abilities and great strength of the Abyssins, almost all of Clan Easym were either killed or captured to work as slaves. Among those dead, was his mother, Vasilya. Polcyc would come to learn, that the Devaronians knew about the healing abilities of the Abyssin, hence why they continued to shoot and hack at those already dead. All the surviving Abyssin, were mainly children and those under the age of thirty.
Polcyc violently struggled against his captors, and as such, he was put in a Force cage, to prevent him escaping, since the other captured Abyssin were relatively calm. Whether the others knew it was useless to struggle or if they hoped that they could kill their captors once they were released, Polcyc knew not. Regardless, the Devaronians departed Byss and headed for Sleheyron.
Polcyc was kept in his force cage for the whole trip, but once they had reached Sleheyron, the Slavers didn't land on it's service, but instead remained in orbit. Polcyc would later find out, from none other than Ojoba himself, that the foolish slavers were demanding more money from the Hutt for the slaves. Ojoba didn't take kindly to that, and his all his men, mainly Mercenaries, assaulted and stormed the Slavers ship, killing all the slavers and taking the slaves anyways.
Polcyc and the others were brought before Ojoba, who divided them into two groups. One group went to fight in the Sleheyron Slave Arena, for the amusement of all the Hutts. The other group, were to work as slaves and later muscle for Ojoba. Polcyc was part of the slave group. For the next two years of his life, it was pure torture. Ojoba was a cruel master, who treated his slaves as lesser beings. Polcyc was subjected to torture if he did not follow Ojoba's orders exactly as he said them.
When Polcyc was six, a Jedi shuttle crashed on Sleheyron and Ojoba's men began to loot the crash site, and the Jedi was brought before Ojoba. It was a Human Jedi Knight named Oromare Jestarks (HORROW-mare GEE-starks). Oromare sensed the Force flowing in Polcyc, when the young Abyssian brought him to his master, Ojoba. Oromare saw how brutally the slaves were treated, and demanded they be released.
Ojoba laughed and was tempted to turn it down, but then he realized that a Jedi held great sway with the Republic, and he countered Oromare's offer. Ojoba was in it to make credits, and with the Republic cracking down on his operations, he was making less and less credits. Soured by his decreasing financial income, Ojoba proposed that he would surrender the Abyssians, in exchange for a promise that the Republic would slacken it's persecution of Ojoba's operations.
Oromare needed to contact the Jedi and the Republic, and with Ojoba watching on, they hesitantly accepted to slacken their persecution, but never saying when they would start loosening their hold; Oromare then agreed to Ojoba's offer. As promised, Ojoba released Polcyc and the other Abyssians and provided Oromare with a small and barely working ship to take him off of Sleheyron.
Oromare traveled to Byss, which he knew to be the homeworld of the Abyssians, and released all of them except Polcyc whom he offered an oppourtunity of a lifetime. He offered to take him to the Jedi Temple and train him as a Jedi. Oromare also mentioned some other words Polcyc didn't really understand, like "Force" and "Lightsaber," but Polcyc knew about the Jedi and he figured if one would risk a lot to save him and his fellow Clan mates, then it would be worth it to become one of his saviors. His saviors was the Jedi. Polcyc agreed and they departed Byss for Coruscant.
Oromare took Polcyc to Coruscant, and presented him before the Jedi Council. The Council took a long while to look over Polcyc, question him about himself and his motives of why he wanted to be a Jedi. The Council was a tad skeptical about him, because they knew of the Abyssians reputation of being "Primitive and violent." Eventually though, Polcyc was allowed to leave while the Council deliberated among themselves. Apparently he had anwsered all their questions to their liking, for after a few moments, he was called back in and they informed him that they would accept him for training. This was the beginning of Polcyc's life as a Defender of Peace...as a Jedi.
Upon his acceptance to Jedi Training, he was trained under various Masters. His favorite however, was a Twi'lek Jedi Master named Gassu Corta (GAH-zoo CORE-tay). Master Corta was always willing to lend an ear to any problem the young Polcyc had.
When Polcyc was seven, he told Master Corta that he wanted to see the Jedi Archives, but Master Corta calmly explained to him that as a Youngling, there was only minimal access allowed to him. Polcyc wanted to learn more and more about the Jedi, but since he wasn't allowed much reign of the Archives, he occupied his time by watching the other Jedi spar and walking around the Temple, thinking of his past training excercises.
Polcyc enjoyed his time in the Jedi Temple, and it seemed the longer he stayed there, the more he was able to calm himself both mentally and physically. He particularly had a strong friendship with the Twi'leks in the temple, for he was both able to speak Ryl, learning it under Ojoba's Domo, and because he liked Twi'leks because the Domo despite working for Ojoba was one of the few of the Hutts servants who was nice to Polcyc. Polcyc took this act of kindness from one Twi'lek as a symbol that all Twi'leks were the same.
When Polcyc was eight years old, he for the most part had masked his true Abyssin nature, for one cannot fully cover the true nature of their race. They can only calm it, and mask it. That's what Polcyc did. Polcyc was talking less and less to other masters, and more to Master Corta and the occasional chat with Oromare, who was rarely at the Temple, for he was off doing some odd job for the Order.
This caused many of the other Masters to call Polcyc a recluse, and they began to work harder to get him to open up more to them. They felt a strong connection with just one master could have dangerous effects. Polcyc was curious as to why the other Jedi were working hard to gain his attention, but he decided he was not one to solve the mysteries of the Jedi, so after about a week, he returned to dividing his time among all the Masters willing to teach him or help him.
For the next year-and-a-half, Polcyc began to personally train himself in unarmed combat. He asked for, and was granted, access to the Training chamber, where he began to use a modified training droid, to train. He was watched over by Master Corta, who took the liberty of modifying the droid himself. It was an old model, well over thirty years old, but Corta who was handy with repairs fixed it for Polcyc, for the "Good of higher knowledge," as Corta called it.
So this was the life of young Polcyc Easym, training and learning. He was determined to be a good Jedi. The Jedi had saved him and his Clan mates from slavery on Sleheyron. Polcyc was determined to one day return to Sleheyron and negotiate the release of any Clan Easym slaves held there. He would never do this, but the young Abyssin held this thought in his mind as he trained. After his twelth birthday, he realized that he needed to get a Master, or it was all over for him. He did not want to go to the Agri-Corps, so he began to peruse the list of Masters, until he was accepted by one who he knew well. Newly christened Jedi Master, Oromare Jestarks.
After he was assigned to Master Jestarks, Polcyc was immediatly plunged into training for the day when he would finally take his Jedi Trials. The laws of Peace, Tranquility, and no emotion were something he ate up quickly. He wanted to finally prove himself once and for all, and being a Padawan was what he saw as the beginning of that. His first few months under Jestarks, was virtually nothing but training, meditation, and learning to calm himself and calm his emotions. The other Masters all saw Polcyc as too headstrong and willful, but Jestarks didn't see that. He felt that Polcyc would make him proud. And that is what Polcyc would eventually end up doing.
When Polcyc was thirteen, he was taken to Ilum to craft a lightsaber of his own. Heading into the Crystal Caves, he selected a single to use as his own. A deep blue crystal. This would be a crystal he would use for the next sixty years of his life.
He then set to the task of crafting a lightsaber. After thinking long and hard, he decided to make a curved hilt, since it allowed for more flexibility during combat and it fit his hand better. It took him a few tries, but eventually he successfully crafted his lightsaber and they left Ilum. Now with a real lightsaber, Master Jestarks now began to focus on actual Lightsaber training, since Polcyc's training was limited by the Training Saber.
After about another year at the Jedi Temple, doing nothing more than training and learning, Polcyc and Oromare were given their first mission as Master and Padawan. They were dispatched to Bakura to negotiate a cease-fire between the Bakurians and a group of Space Pirates. Oromare and Polcyc left Coruscant and went to Bakura immediately. Upon nearing Bakura, the Pirates fired on their vessel, and captured it in a tractor beam and brought it aboard "The Golden Prize" a corvette that had apparently been stolen from a Hutt. Aboard "The Golden Prize" they were brought before the leader of the Pirates. A Zabrak named Olivat Lostar (OLIVE-at LOW-stair).
Lostar was prepared to keep Polcyc and Oromare prisoner to use as ransom against the republic, if not for a well placed shot from an Ion cannon on Bakura's surface. In the confusion, Oromare was able to get himself and Polcyc free and after a brief battle, all on the Command Deck except Lostar and seven of his men, were dead. Using "The Golden Prize," Oromare contacted the Bakurans on the planet and informed them of the situation. The Bakurans told them that with Lostar and "The Golden Prize" out of the way, they could handle the rest of the small pirate fleet, which consisted almost entirely of blockade-runners and a few snub fighters.
After locking Lostar and his men in the cargo hold of "The Golden Prize," Oromare and Polcyc departed Bakura while the rest of the Pirate fleet were distracted by the Bakurans. Upon their return to the Jedi Temple, Lostar and his men were imprisoned by the Republic. The next six years of Polcyc's life would be spent, doing such things as training, reading in the Archives, walking the Temple to calm himself, serving as a bodyguard for important Senators the Republic couldn't afford to lose, and various missions with Master Jestarks.
However, despite the drone of rather boring missions, when he was twenty, a group of Desilijic Hutts and their army of Mercenaries planned to seize the planet of Ylesia, a planet controlled by the bitter enemies of the Desilijic clan, the Besadii Hutts. Perhaps there was another motive for the Desilijics attacking Ylesia, but if there was, the Desilijics never said it. Oromare, Polcyc, and a small team of other Jedi and Republic peace keepers, hurried toward Ylesia with a small navy strike team, in case the Hutts refused to listen to reason, and started a war between the two Clans. A war is something the Republic never wants, even if it's among the galaxy grabbing Hutts. The team arrived at Ylesia, about three days after the Desilijic Hutt army and Besadii controlled Ylesia was in the grip of War.
The Jedi were dispatched to "The Nojoba" the Desilijic Hutt flagship, and eagerly tried to persuade the Desilijic to call off their assault of Ylesia. The Hutts were prepared to accept, seeing as if they refused the Republic could send a fleet to vaporize Nal Hutta and other Desilijic controlled planets into oblivion, or impose strict sanctions that would not allow the Hutts who did not cooperate to gain any profit. However, a familiar face emerged. Ojoba the Hutt, a Desilijic, recognized both Oromare and Polcyc and was angry that the Republic had yet to live up to the promise made to him. He asked the other Hutts to refuse the Republics offer, but the Hutts were in it to make money and if the Republic were to stop that, they would go broke. The Hutts couldn't have that, and the Desilijic troops were withdrawn from Ylesia.
Following the success at Ylesia, Oromare and Polcyc returned to the Jedi Temple and were granted partial credit for the success at Ylesia. The rest of the credit went to the other Jedi and Republic individuals present. After Ylesia, both Polcyc and Oromare would travel the galaxy, doing various small missions, such as diplomatic missions. This would be Polcyc's life for the next three years. Those three years would prove to be his last years as a Padawan. The Jedi had bigger plans for the Abyssin they once thought about not accepting.
One day, when Polcyc was twenty-three, he was approached by Master Jestarks and told that Oromare deemed him finally with enough knowledge and skill to take his Jedi Trials to be a Jedi Knight. He was first set to the Trial of Skill, which consisted of pitting him against a simulacrum of some masked Dark Lord, who was brandishing a lightsaber and equipped with a brutal armament of Dark Side powers. He used a combination of his prowess with a lightsaber and his physical strength to defeat the simulacrum. It took a lot out of him, but he was victorious and he was pleased. The identity of the Dark Lord remained a mystery to him, but since Master Jestarks chose the adversary, apparently there was some meaning behind it. The true meaning was that the simulacrum was altered to not show a true Dark Lord, but to show a masked Polcyc if he were to ever fall to the Dark Side. The meaning behind this, was that they felt Polcyc's greatest adversary would be himself on the Dark Side. It was strange thinking by the Jedi, but for that moment, that was the thinking they used.
Next was the Trial of the Flesh. Nothing was required for that, for the Jedi already felt that a combination of Polcyc losing his mother in the Devaronian raid on Byss, and his brutal enslavement under Ojoba satisfied this trial. Then he was subjected to the Trial of Courage. This trial would not happen for about another month, when him and Master Jestarks were on the Hutt controlled planet of Vontor, and Mercenaries under Ojoba the Hutt; who had still not ended his grudge, stormed Jestark's ship in middle of the night. A brief battle ensued, where even though Polcyc and Oromare fought bravely, they were almost overwhelmed. They managed to escape Vontor and returned to Republic controlled space. While Ojoba remained sheltered in Hutt controlled space, the Republic could not touch him. This greatly angered Polcyc. However, due to him bravely fighting aboard the ship in his defense and aiding in the defense of Master Jestarks, his Trial of Courage was deemed completed.
Finally, it was the Trial of Spirit. This was the only other Trial that had not been completed by Polcyc. It was a Trial, where a Jedi had to go on a quest of self-discovery. There was only one place Polcyc felt he could do that, his home planet of Byss. Polcyc departed Coruscant for Byss. He was planning to head to the location on Byss, where the slavers assaulted his Clan. Where his life was forever changed. He didn't remember it's exact spot, but he landed near where he felt was the correct spot and after talking with two members of Clan Easym he came across, he finally found the cluster of dunes where his life was changed.
He picked the middle of those clusters, and went into deep meditation and thought. He calmed himself of all the hatred for those Devaronians and his anger at Ojoba for trying to kill him numerous times. This was by far the toughest trial for Polcyc, for showing your skill with a lightsaber was one thing, but confronting your inner demons was something completely different. When he came out of his meditation, he was calm, peaceful, and everything was tranquil for him. He had made his peace. With that successful, he returned to the Jedi Temple and after feeling there was in fact a difference with him, the Masters all agreed he had successfully completed the Trials of Knighthood. The very next day, Polcyc had his braid cut off. He was now a Jedi Knight of the Jedi Order.
Now that he was a Jedi Knight, he was given the oppourtunity to take on a Padawan if he wished. He wanted to pass on his knowledge and felt that it would do him good to have a Padawan. So he took on a beautiful Twi'lek female named Santara Secura (born: Santaras'ecura) (SANT-ara SE-cuhr-uh). Santara was like the exact opposite of Polcyc. Where he was quiet and kept to himself, she talked to everyone and was always busy and active doing something. Despite this, she was strong in the Force and he enjoyed being in her company.
Polcyc and Santara for their first year together, didn't do any missions, for Polcyc wanted his Padawan to be completely ready for the dangers they would face in the galaxy. So when he was twenty-four and Santara was fourteen, he was assigned a small assignment. It was a rather simple mission, travel to Nar Shaddaa and escort a witness against the Exchange back to Coruscant. At least Polcyc thought it would be easy. That's why when Oromare offered to aid, Polcyc brushed it off. How wrong Polcyc would be proven.
When Polcyc and Santara arrived on Nar Shaddaa, they were immediately met by a small group of thugs working for the Exchange Sector boss, a Quarren named Polkarx. Polkarx's men demanded that Polcyc and Santara turn away and leave Nar Shaddaa, but since they had a mission to do for the council, they could not. The thugs opened fire, causing Polcyc and Santara to defend themselves. Polcyc himself was struck twice in the shoulder and thigh by blaster bolts, and Santara wasn't directly struck, but a blaster bolt whizzed past her face, singeing a small portion of the skin on her cheek.
After Polkarx's thugs had been defeated, Polcyc did his best to heal Santara. He succeeded in healing the wound, but there was nothing he could do about the scar that formed a blemish on her no longer perfect face. Barely on Nar Shaddaa for five minutes, Polcyc and Santara had already met resistance to them taking the witness back to Coruscant. They were forced to fight through another group of thugs outside the Refugee Sector, and then once actually inside the Refugee Sector, they discovered the witness had been taken by the Exchange. Now it was Polcyc's duty to discover where.
After scouting out the Refugee Sector, he found very little to actually aid him in this task, so he began to ask around. That's when he discovered the truth, there really was a witness willing to cooperate against the Exchange, but was killed by the Exchange a week before the transmission was even sent to the Republic. The witness, apparently had not even sent the transmission, as the sender was a Nautolan thug hired by Polkarx to masquerade as the human witness. Polkarx, was paid by an odd source, Ojoba the Hutt. Ojoba paid Polkarx and his Nautolan thug to draw the Jedi to Nar Shaddaa, where Polkarx's men would ambush and kill them. Apparently, Ojoba would not let old grudges die. Ojoba saw his chance with the killing of the Exchange witness, to draw the Jedi to Nar Shaddaa to be killed. Many of the people Polcyc got this information out of, were weak minded Exchange members.
After learning about this, Polcyc grudgingly left Nar Shaddaa with Santara, and returned to the Jedi Temple as quickly as he could. He didn't fancy combating more men of Ojoba the Hutt. Returning to Coruscant, Polcyc reported his failure to the Council, who were to his suprise not suprised. Judging from the way they acted when he told them, Polcyc came to the conclusion that the Council felt the deceit in the transmission, but sent Polcyc as a further test. They knew he had a rivalry with the Hutt and they wanted to see how he would act when it was discovered that Ojoba planned everything. Also, the Council wanted to see how he would act under intense pressure on the Smuggler's Moon. These conclusions were later confirmed by Master Oromare Jestarks, Polcyc's close friend and a recently appointed member on the Jedi Council.
For the next twelve years of Polcyc's life, he and Santara would do various missions for the Order. Missions that would take them to such planets as Tatooine, Af'El, Agriworld-2079, and a jumble of others. There was no hide nor hair of Ojoba or his men during those twelve years, and Polcyc suspected that the Hutt was either laying low, conducting his operations elsewhere, dead, or had moved on from focusing on attacking the Jedi. When Polcyc was thirty-seven and Santara was twenty-seven, she successfully completed her trials, and was made a Jedi Knight. Now Polcyc and Santara would fight side-by-side as equals, and not as just Master and Apprentice. Santara was rather old to be taking her Trials, but her request was strange but Polcyc accepted it. The request was not to let her take the Trials, until she said she was ready.
Now that Santara had become a Jedi Knight, she was able to take on her own Padawan, but Polcyc opted to not take on another one at the moment. He had plans to take on another Padawan in the future, when the time was right. Polcyc, Santara, and Santara's Padawan, would constantly be contacted by the Order to do various missions throughout the galaxy for the next eight years. Some missions would be nothing more than to protect a Senator or some politician, but others were missions that required a more "Open-minded" approach. In laymens terms, some missions required the might of a lightsaber. One mission to Af'El, would result his his ascention to the rank of Master and the loss of a friend.
Polcyc was assigned to go settle a dispute between a Defel clan who was claiming a Clan Chief of another Defel tribe had broken his promise. They were threatning war, with the other clan. The Republic could not have this as Af'El was the only place Meleenium, a rare substance used in Durasteel could be produced. Polcyc was assigned to this mission, along with three small Republic transports with a total of thirty soldiers, and a member of the Jedi High Council had agreed to go on the mission with Polcyc. Master Jestarks. Santara and her Padawan were unable to join Polcyc or Oromare as they were off doing a seperate mission for the Order.
Polcyc and Master Jestarks departed Coruscant and plotted a course for Af'El where they were met up by the Republic cruisers. As the four ships, Polcyc's and the three Republic transports, entered Af'El's unpredictable atmosphere, they saw a sight that made Polcyc's stomach churn. A terrible storm was ravaging the surface, and Polcyc knew the Defels wouldn't be affected by it, because they had their underground cities to protect them. Polcyc and the others were not so lucky. Polcyc and Oromare's ship was leveled into the surface of Af'El, killing Oromare and injuring Polcyc. The Republic transports were heavily damaged, but managed to withdraw from the atmosphere, and locking down their ships, were able to return to space around Af'El.
Polcyc crawled from the crash site, leaving to his dismay, Master Jestarks body behind, for the storm was getting worse. Polcyc managed to find some shelter, and his quick Abyssin healing, allowed him to return to full health in less than a half hour.
Polcyc was now in trouble though, he was alone on Af'El and the Republic had no way of reaching him until the storm subsided. He didn't know how long that was going to be. He was only alone in the cave for one night, before two Defels, who mainly appeared as a shadow to Polcyc, located him. These two particular Defels came from a clan who loved the Republic, and upon hearing the crash, decided to see what happened and if there were any survivors.
Polcyc admired them for this, because of the storm on the surface. He didn't ask too many questions though, he was grateful for the help he was about to recieve. They slowly took him to their city, after he had in fact proved himself to be a friend of the Republic. Once safely in their city, he was able to wait until the storm died down. Once the storm had subsided and he was able to get a message out to a Republic Cruiser waiting in orbit around Af'El. He told the Republic that the storm had subsided, Master Oromare was dead, and he had survived thanks to the aid of the Defels.
The Republic sent a rescue vessel, as well as two negotiators who had been aboard the Republic Cruiser during the storm. Polcyc was assigned to protect the negotiators upon their arrival, and together they were able to keep peace on Af'El. Polcyc returned to the Jedi Temple, where a meeting of the Jedi High Council took place to decide who would fill Master Oromare's spot. Polcyc was called before the High Council, who said based on his actions in the previous years and his cool head on Af'El, he would be given the rank of Jedi Master and the vacant spot on the Jedi High Council.
Polcyc took his new title with nothing more than a respectable bow and a "Thank you Masters." He knew, or thought at least, that the Jedi were seeing his reaction. Seeing whether their training to calm and eliminate emotions had worked. He didn't want to prove otherwise.
Upon his ascension to the rank of Master and High Council Member, his duties increased ten fold. He also saw it was time for him to take on another Padawan. This time, he chose a Human male named Orskat Novarzta (ORE-skat NO-varz-TAH). He and Novarzta spent one year at the temple, to help aid Orskat in his training. Upon the completion of that year, Polcyc was chosen to go on another mission for the Order. This time, it was to Nagi, where the Nagai and their constant enemies the Tofs were engaged in a War. Polcyc and Orskat's mission was purely diplomatic, and they had no intention of using their lightsabers.
Polcyc and Orskat arrived on Nagi to acclaim by the Nagai people, and within three days upon their arrival, there was a Nagai-Tof ceasefire. Polcyc and Orskat returned to the Jedi Temple happy about their success on Nagai. This would be their lives, doing various missions for the Order for the next eight years, when Polcyc was fifty-five and Orskat was twenty. When Orskat was twenty, he took his Jedi Trials and passed with flying colors. He was made a Jedi Knight.
Upon Orskat's ascension to the rank of Knight, Orskat took on a Padawan of his own. Together, Polcyc, Orskat, and Orskat's Padawan would do missions together until one fateful mission on Bothawui. Polcyc, Orskat, and Orskat's apprentice headed to Bothawui on the rumors that a Sith cult had appeared on Bothawui. Polcyc was given the task of routing them.
They arrived on Bothawui, and upon being diverted for some unknown reason to a landing pad on the outskirts of Drev'starn, they were ambushed by a pack of Skar'klas, and even though they fought bravely, Orskat was struck down by a Skar'kla. Polcyc amd Orskat's Padawan despite being heavily outnumbered, were saved due to a Bothese resuce party arriving and subduing the Skar'klas. Polcyc was a Jedi Master. Yes he was a member of the High Council, but when he is outnumbered 10 to 1, every skill he learned appears heavily strained and not nearly sufficient against such high numbers of foes.
After being taken back to Drev'starn, Polcyc met with a Bothawui high up in the government who said that the rumors of a Sith cult operating on Bothawui were rumors and had no truth to them whatsoever. Polcyc returned to Coruscant with Orskat's Padawan and the Padawan, a Zabraki Male named Boristar Vesk (BORE-e-STAR VESH-k), and upon agreement from the rest of the Council, Boristar was made Polcyc's new Padawan.
Having already seen the eight year old Boristar, despite being frightened and vastly outmatched on Bothawui, attempt to hold his own, Polcyc did not doubt his abilities. Because of this, he immediately began to take Boristar on missions with him.
The first few missions Polcyc took Boristar on, were rather simple ones. Help escort a Senator off a Hutt controlled world.

Bio:
Born a Primitive Abyssin: Ages 0-4
[/i][/u]Polcyc Easym was born on the Outer Rim world of Byss to the Abyssin Clan Easym, at one of their camps, during a period of the year when the Clan and it's herds chose to remain in one spot.
Sold into Slavery: Ages 4-6
[/i][/u]One night, a few months after Polcyc's fourth birthday, his clan slept for the night along a crest of dunes, when he was awoken by the sounds of blaster fire and shouts.
Saved by the Jedi: Age 6
[/i][/u]Oromare took Polcyc to Coruscant, and presented him before the Jedi Council.
Youngling Training and Proving Himself: Ages 6-12
[/i][/u]Upon his acceptance to Jedi Training, he was trained under various Masters.
Jedi Padawan and Training Under Jestarks: Ages 12-23
[/i][/u]After he was assigned to Master Jestarks, Polcyc was immediatly plunged into training for the day when he would finally take his Jedi Trials.
Jedi Knight: Ages 23-45
[/i][/u]One day, when Polcyc was twenty-three, he was approached by Master Jestarks and told that Oromare deemed him finally with enough knowledge and skill to take his Jedi Trials to be a Jedi Knight.
Jedi Master and High Council Member: Ages 46-140
[/i][/u]Polcyc took his new title with nothing more than a respectable bow and a "Thank you Masters." He knew, or thought at least, that the Jedi were seeing his reaction.
