Bio:
Jasper was born on the harsh world of Concord Dawn to a first generation Mandalorian named Wulfric Gott who had as a young man been adopted by a Kel Dor Mandalorian when he was separated from his family when they were claimed by the then Mandalore's last ditch attack against the Republic. Jasper was raised in the proper Mandalorian way, he was raised to be strong, as if his father knew what his life would hold. Perhaps it was simply that fact that he knew it was impossible to keep a single Mandalorian down, much less the entire race. He was raised alongside his adoptive cousin Phin who'd been sent to be raised by Wulfric while his father was otherwise occupied.

When Jasper turned 15 his father decided he needed to see some live fire action, luckily his adoptive brother owned and operated a small PMC named the Hunter's Moon which had nonetheless operated all over the Galaxy. Jasper's uncle Dis, a Kel Dor and adopted Mandalorian himself would later explain that the company would move around so much because it didn't want to clash with much larger PMC's unrestricted by the sanctions on Mandalorian Clan size. The first live fire situation Jasper found himself in was on Kashyyk, helping the local Wookiees fend off Trandoshan raiders. The Mandalorians set up adequate anti air defence to divert the Trandoshans to a beach landing, the plan was simple, the Mandalorians merely had to hold off a group of enraged reptilian psychotics while the Wookiees evacuated their non-combatants inland.
Jasper was assigned to a fire team on the front line, quite understandably he was anxious, edgy, but in what would become a running motif in his life there was someone there to help him.
“Su'cuy gar!” Of all the moments to find Phin again it was a blessing that it should be this one. Phin had been there to steady him when they were children, he was there now with a hand on his shoulder as they stood Mandalorians. Dawn broke and as expected the Trandoshans came out of the rising sun, it provided them good cover as the Mandalorians could not see their landing craft to blow it out of the water. They were almost overrun, Jasper and Phin quickly found themselves firing back to back as the Trandoshans swarmed up the beach. “And here I wanted to die after breakfast!” Phin yelled over the din of battle, far from his meek and nervous former self Jasper quickly found himself enjoying proceedings, still back to back the two Mandalorian boys were actually laughing. It was not until Jasper shoved Phin from the path of a flying rocket that they realized the gravity of what they'd found themselves in. As Jasper gave his cousin and friend a hand up he was shot from behind though Phin quickly vindicated the attack. As he was dragged to the tree line Jasper faintly heard the call to fall back. Once in the trees the Wookiee natives and Mandalorian mercenaries made short work of the invaders. Jasper would awake hours later on a medical ship, he had been lucky, after a fashion. He knew that he'd been shot in the back but it was through gritted teeth and stifled snickers that Phin told him he'd been shot in the backside. It was from this incident as well as subsequent other near misses that his comrades gave him the nickname 'Lucky Jasper.'

20 seconds. Jasper repeated in his mind what the driver had just yelled, 20 seconds until they hit the beach, 20 seconds until they had to earn their pay cheques. Up the beach and in to the jungle, flush 'em out on to open ground. Jasper didn't know what this tribe had done to get the Kaleesh him and his men were working for, it had to be something bad if they'd hired in outside help. Lucky Jasper indeed, it seemed almost like divine providence that just as they needed a big pay day the Kaleesh had started killing one another. If there was one thing a Mandalorian could count on it those oh so charming scale faced fanatics who'd pay oh so much for some Mando muscle.
“Ten seconds!” Flush 'em out.
“Five seconds!” Every last-- three, two, one. At first Jasper didn't quite know what happened, he felt the treads underneath them hit sand, felt the craft rock. But the shaking didn't stop and then the roaring started, before he knew it all he could hear was white noise and he didn't know which way was up. He plunged into the icy water face first, his helmet was gone and sea water was flooding into his throat. But someone was there to help, someone took him by the shoulders and pulled him up out of the water, they were standing in the shallows. “Hang in there boss man, I'm not leading these sons of pregnant doges, no way no how!” Phin, his second, always dependable. The pair dashed to one of the transports lying on its side in the shin deep brine. A few other of Jasper's men were there, too few. Phin tossed him his missing helmet as they both took shelter behind the bent hull.
“Someone told the lizards about our little party! They were just waiting for us and there's a defensive line thicker than your Bard's skull right up the length of the beach!” Just then there was another explosion far too close for comfort and a helmet plopped into the water between them, they both recognized it. “Speaking of...”
“That's not Kaleesh up there! We're fighting mercenaries!” Jasper yelled back, “No wonder the lizards sent us in first! Wait until the second wave hits! Keep your heads down! We'll let them soak up some of the fire for us!” Over the din of blasters and mortar fire Jasper could hear the hum of approaching landing craft, with his back against the shattered hull he saw them coming in, straight up and level with them. “Move it!” Just as the ramps came down the Mandalorians emerged from their cover, the beach was only short, with the big lizards to take some of the heat they'd make it. Japser himself fell in behind a particularly hulking specimen, great cover. Until he went and got himself hit, undeterred Jasper locked his arms around the dying Kaleesh and ran until he felt the ground drop out from under him and he tumbled into the bunker at the beach's end.
In moments someone was on him, he felt a fist slam into his helmet and as he lay on his back in the dust he looked up and sighed. Weequay, great. Standing up he rammed his shoulder into his opponent, slamming him against the bunker wall before throwing him to the floor and sticking him in the back with one of his forearm blades. “You picked the wrong hole to hide in.” Just as Jasper had said his piece he was struck across the face by another mercenary, a Trandoshan wielding some kind of pole arm a flurry of blaster shots slammed into him before Phin leaped down into the bunker, kicking his corpse to the ground in the process. Jasper rose to his feet and dusted himself off. “Shut up. I know what you're going to say so shut up.”
“Whatever you say Lucky.” Jasper hated that nickname. “What'd I tell you about the lizards.”
