Okay, I'm with Mara on the whole learning to handle a blaster at five...no sane parent would hand their 5 yr old a REAL gun (loaded or not)...perhaps you should state it's a toy blaster?

I doubt the coruscant security would allow a 10 year old to learn how to fly a speeder of any kind. The planet has a LOT of traffic, so I doubt that's feasible at that age. Perhaps she decided to teach him one day on a trip to a less populated planet? Or perhaps she taught him at an older age?
