Bio:
Born in 3632BBY, Jaq was the 3rd son of Felon (pronounced Fe' lon) and Sasha (Sa'sha)Sytar. Felon was a shrewd Foreman for the Rechet mine, which provided metal ore for Kurat Drive Yards, and Sasha stayed at home with their eleven children.
From the beginning, Sasha knew that Jaq was a diamond in the rough, walking by 9 months and talking by 10. By age 2, Jaq had begun to reach out an calm excited domestic animals, leaning into them and whispering into their ears. While his mother encouraged Jaq, his father thought him strange and avoided him in his early age. By age 5, Jaq began to travel with his father and brothers into the mines where he was put to work cleaning equipment and removing small stones from the paths leading to lower mines. One day, while cleaning the paths, Jaq came upon a white crystal, roughly the size of a large button. Picking it up, Jaq immediately began to think more clearly. Smiling, he put the crystal into a pocket of his tattered clothes and continued about his duties.
A few days later, two Jedi seekers arrived upon the planet and during quick search, felt Jaq and his connection with the Ruusan Crystal. Arriving at the home of his parents, the Jedi checked Jaq's medichlorian count, then began to question Jaq and his parents about the source of this connection. It turned out that Felon's father was a Grey Jedi that had come to Ruusan to hide from the Jedi and what he considered their hippocracy. This information was unknown by Felon, but known to the Seekers. Checking his brothers and sisters, they discovered that they all had a respectful Medichlorian count, but Jaq was the one that had drawn them there. Upon satisfactory completion of their questions, the Jedi requested that Jaq be taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and be trained as a Jedi. His mother agreed, but his father shrewdly declined, stating that Jaq was needed in the mine, but hinted that a price could be negotiated. One of the Jedi, Master Fae Lang, had sensed the need for a larger than average purse and had acquired an extra 5,000 credits from a pazaak encounter. After a few looks and a handshake, the deal was made.
As a youngling...
Arriving at the Jedi Temple, Jaq began the long and tedious journey of becoming a Jedi. Although smart and witty, he was also curious and prone to mischief, sometimes exploring alone in the Red District of Coruscant. During, Although friendly and outgoing, Jaq was slow to make friends. Among his fellow younglings, Jaq was above average. Lacking in the art of the lightsaber, Jaq more than made up for it with his use of the Force, grasping the basic theories quickly and embracing advanced theories that troubled many padawans years his senior. From an early age, Jaq was frequently asked by his instructors to lead exercises or to be the guenia pig for the early trials. Humble to the roots, Jaq never accepted credit for something he had done, but always promoted others ideas, tactfully redirecting the conversation towards other's strengths and accomplishments. None of this was lost to the instructors who noted this and saw the influence that he begun to acquire. Impressed, Master Fae Lang tapped Jaq, who was 9 at the time, to become her apprentice.
As an apprentice....
Master Lang, a Jedi Watchman, served over the Vanqud, Taris, Bandomeer, and Wayland systems, but she also was a Jedi Seeker which duties took her to other local systems and even into Hutt space and the Sith Empire. Because of this, Jaq learned how to search out disturbances in the Force and other anomalies from an early age. Fortunately for Jaq, Master Lang was also a master that encouraged gaining hands-on experience and not sit around the Jedi Temple or other training academies. Jaq was guided into the rising conflicts of the war gingerly, at first, but then with growing demand and the lack of qualified Jedi, Master Lang made him grow up quickly in the Force.
At the beginning, Master Lang urged Jaq to focus on on the control of the Force, which was his strength. Under Master Lang's tutulidge, Jaq quickly and eagerly absorbed every new lesson.
Over the next few years, Jaq's use and knowledge of the Force grew by leaps and bounds. During the early years of his apprenticeship, Jaq spent most of his time working with his master, conducting dipolmacy, overseeing trade disputes, and planetary parlimental meetings.
While quick to learn about the Force, Jaq was a slow learner in the art of lightsaber combat. Even though he had contructed his lightsaber
When he was 17, he rooted out an assassination attempt of a senator on the planet Taris by viewing the assassin's Force Attunment by use of Force Sight. The relieved Senator gave Jaq a rare violet crystal as a reward. While this act earned him respect among the Tarisian government and Jedi Order, it also earned him a few enemies. The Vice Kings, a Tarisian swoop gang, even placed a bounty of 20,000 credits for the capture of Jaq. However, the same group was cleared out a few months later by Jaq and his master after the Vice Kings kidnapped a child. In this instance, Master Lang tasked Jaq with covering their movements through Battle Meditation. Learning the extent of his control, Jaq was able to protect his master and himself while they entered the gang's hideout and rescued the girl without a scratch.
Because of Jaq's exceptional actions during this mission, Master Lang recommended to the Council that he be able to take the trials early. Seldom had this happened in the history the of the Order, but Master Lang was persuasive enough that the Council relented.
Jedi Trials and Knighthood.....
Because of unorthidox timing of Jaq's trials, the Council decided to that his trial will also be unorthidox as well.
After arriving at Coruscant, Jaq was questioned by the Council. After successfully answering their questions, Jaq was given these directives.
1. Find and help someone in need
2. Aquire a ship
3. Fly to an undesclosed planet and purge the Dark Force aura there.
That was all and it was to be done without the help of another Jedi.
Accepting his task with a bow, Jaq pivoted and walked from the chamber and out of the Temple, into the cool but muggy Coruscant air.
After gaining the tile of Jedi Knight, Jaq was immediately tasked out by the Jedi Council. The need for strong Jedi Consulars in the fleet was great in this time of privateering and skirmishes, for most consulars had learned the art of healing and of battlefield medicines. Jaq was no different, being attached to the 3rd Fleet/1st medical battalion, on the Medical Frigate, RSS Mercy. While there, Jaq acted as a medical officer for the 12th Scout platoon. This is where Jaq aquired his hands-on training and honed his healing skills. In the performance of his duties, his unit had the one of the highest percentages of patient survival. The 12th Scout platoon were those who were charged with scouting out pirates, renegade mandalorians, and other combatants. Occasionally, they would "snatch & grab", capturing a enemy combatant and bring him back for questioning. Soon, Jaq's Jedi abilities brought him more duties and responsibilities. Using Mind Trick, he was repeatedly able to obtain useful information concerning supply transports, illegal weapons trading, pirate docking locations, and more. Occasionally, a strong minded individual would resist Jaq's probes, and so, depending on the situation, Jaq would search their thoughts. He did this rarely, as Republic interrogators dealt with the more physical persuasion or torture. In fact it was because of this, that Jaq, at the age of 25, requested and received a transfer to the Jedi Diplomatic Corps, where he began to grow as a diplomat and counsilor for freshman Senators.
While on a mission in the red district of Nar Shadda, Jaq was attacked by a mysterious cloaked figure, with knowledge of the darkside. Only by using the Force to quicken his movements was Jaq able to avoid his blade. Breaking down into a basic Niman form, Jaq was able to control his emotions while his opponnet tired to fill his head with fear, doubt, and then anger, by bring up his father. Jaq let the words bounce off as he switched to Sokan, drawing the shadowy figure forward with growing confidence. When he had the figure focused on him, Jaq force pulled a dumpster towards him, knocking the dark figure off balance enough for Jaq to sever his lightsaber hand, gaining his lightsaber. The who poisoned him a dart filled with Lali Plague. Barely escaping, Jaq was able to make it to the RSS Mercy, which was attached to the 2nd Fleet that was patrolling the Kwenn system. Quarantined on board, Jaq went in and out of consciences and through sheer will of the Force, stayed alive. Placed in a healing trance by the Jedi Healer afloat, Jaq was taken to the Jedi Medical station on Tython where he slipped into a coma. Baffled and unable to cure him, the Jedi Healers could only watch was he slept in his comatose state for 2 years.
Recovering from the time spent in the coma, Jaq had to go through intensive therapy to walk, speak, and function again. With the Force as his guide and with the help of fellow Jedi, Jaq has returned to active status at the Jedi Temple. Although given no official billet or task, Jaq has been busying himself in in the training rooms, working with the temple Weapons Masters to increase his skill in lightsaber use. He skill has grown in Niman for its practical use, focusing on multi-saber useage.

Stepping from the lift, Jaq closed his eyes to adjust them to the darkness. Most of the light did not penetrate the leafy canopy to the forest floor, leaving almost everything in a dark grayish hue. Occasionally, there were spots of total blackness, the coldness of which penetrated ones very soul.
Slopping through the damp, muddy ground, Jaq viewed his surroundings. The uneven ground was strewn with small boulders, large broken limbs, and small ravines. There were a few small paths that ran to and fro, but they were unkept. Besides the giant trees, few plants grew in this light starved region. Only an occasional assortment of mushroom or small clusters of brown reeds, that were just over a meter in length, covered the ground.
Jumping to the top of a boulder, Jaq scanned as far his human eyes allowed through the trees and darkness. Out in this dimly lit underworld, sounds of indigenous wildlife frequented the air.
Clearing his mind, he focused on what lie before him.
There were to be four trials his master had said.
"The Trial of Skill, the Trial of Flesh, the Trial of Courage, and the Trial of the Spirit." he said to no one.
Maybe two of these trials will be combined? he thought to himself.
Words of comfort and wisdom from Master Fae Lang flooded into his brain. "Even in the darkest of places there is light. And where there is light there is hope." he recounted.
Calming himself, Jaq closed his eyes and began to focus on the living force. Taking another deep breath, he jumped down from his perch and made his way into the Shadowlands.
