It was surprising to Raiken to find how empty the halls of the Jedi Temple seemed to be after the loss of his master. Gro had been -- in every way -- the man Raiken wanted to one day become. The man had mastered the use of the Force, and flowed in liquid-like movements when using his saber. It was hard to believe that he was gone... even after close to a month since his death.
Raiken was in a precarious position; his former master had brought him to the point where he was ready to prove himself as a Jedi Knight, but with Gro's death, Raiken was sure he would have to do even more to prove himself to the Council. Though he had struggled with the application of the Force, with Gro's help, he had managed to put aside his anger and frustration, and master his own self. Small quivers of fear scratched at the pit of his stomach as he contemplated what might happen without Gro's wise advice to calm him.
Coming to the end of one of the main halls, Raiken stopped. Before him was a large, paned window that overlooked the glorious cityscape of Coruscant. Many considered the city to be a place of villainy and filth, but Raiken tended to look at the positive aspects of the city. No other planet in all of the Galaxy was so advanced; and when the sun gleamed from the golden-bronze coatings of the colossal skyscrapers, there was a beauty that could scarcely be matched.
The view put him at peace, finally silencing all the thoughts and pointless ramblings that had seemed to become all the more frequent since the death of his master. With a large sigh, Raiken's eyes fell the ground. "Be calm..."

Araon stood at a short distance from the young Jedi he saw before him. It still made him wonder why the council had not simply put the young man through the trials. If he had been born on Zeltros he'd be considered an adult at this point. Though, Zeltros as Araon recalled from his last visit was indeffinately a den of iniquity. He chuckled softly at the thought.
He observed Raiken khall. He was tall, had an average build, lean and fit. He seemed the poster boy of Jedihood.
Araon approched slowly and quietly, muffling the noise he made useing the force. He'd been studying the ways of a sentinel and he felt had been making some progress. He joined Raikan in viewing the city from the large window at the end of the hall.
"I always liked the way the sunlight bounces off the durasteel and ferocreet of Coruscant. Though the vista of Republic center at night is most breathtaking." Araon said casually, his arms resting within his robe sleeves.
He turned to read the young man, useing his empathic abilities, and the force both hopefully to glean Raiken's state.

A sliver of shock bounced through Raiken, bringing sudden life to his muscles the moment Araon's words broke his thoughts. Taking a short breath -- that was more of a laugh -- Raiken looked up to see Jedi Knight Araon An'mar. Raiken had only spoken to Araon a few times here and there; he knew he was a man that had considerable control of both the Force, and his emotions, despite his relatively young age. Gro had spoken highly of him the few times he had been brought up.
With a calm smile, Raiken nodded. "I agree," he stated, turning his face back toward the window. "It's one of the first things I noticed when I came here. It keeps me calm."
Turning back to Araon, Raiken could notice a familiar look in his eyes. All of the Knights and Masters had looked upon him with the same expression since Gro had died. They all tried to get a sense of his inner composition. Since childhood, Raiken knew that his emotions could not be hidden from the senior members of the Order, and so he did not attempt to hide them.
"How have you been, Araon?" He asked, breaking the silence. "I am sure you have been busy as of late."

Araon nodded and gestured for Raiken to walk with him. "I have been well Padawan." Araon said as his feet made soft patting sounds on the carpetted halls of the Jedi Temple. " Busy perhaps to some." Araon said as he let his empathic abilities envelope his soon to be apprentice.
"I am unsure if the Council has shared such knowledge with you, but I am to be your new master. The high council has tasked me with completeing your training." Araon said with his soft gravelling voice. He looked to the young man with his blue green eyes. Trying to peirce his thoughts. He sensed loss. Greivance.
Araon moved his gaze to the floor he trod upon. "This will likely be alot of work for both of us. I have read your file in the archives. It has been said by some of the more judgmental masters that you lack the apptitude to feel the force effectively. That is why perhaps none of them have ever held a seat on the council. Such judgments are unwise, and a limit in their vision will only limit you." Araon said with a slight frustration coming through his voice. He made no attempts to hide his distate emotionally.
"It also shows you have had very little training in use of the Lightsaber." Araon halted when they reached a lift tube that would take them to the gardens in the Agri-corp wing. "I will help you with both. However, I think we shall focus on making you feel whole again. We will discuss this at great length no doubt." When the lift tube arrived Araon stepped inside and waited for Raiken to join him before he pressed the button for the veranda floors.
The lift tube hummed softly as they decended. After a moments silence Araon spoke again. A thought forming in his mind. "I think a change in scenery is in Order. The Temple is not always the best place to view the city of Coruscant. What do you think Padawan?"

((sorry about the mis-spelling of your name. just now noticed it wasn't Aaron.))
Following the indications put forth by Araon, Raiken turned away from the skyline and began a slow pace to the side of the Knight. His posture mimicked that of the Knight's, with his back straight, head held high, and arms crossed behind his back, lost in the folds of his cloak. As Araon began to speak, Raiken kept his head forward, listening with slight surprise. "They had informed me that I would receive another Master," he admitted, "but they failed to specify who."
Raiken felt the sudden sting of shame as Araon spoke of the records on his file. He had never sat well with many of the Masters of the Council; several of the more old-fashioned members were firmly against him even being accepted as a Padawan when Gro had taken him. Raiken had learned to free himself from the frustration he felt toward the Council years before... but he could sense some of the same anguish from Araon as he spoke. He smiled slightly, coming to a stop in perfect synch with Araon. "I am glad you see it so," he stated, commenting on the notes of the Council.
The young Padawan kept his eyes glued on the glowing numbers that increasingly jumped closer and closer to their final notch, all the while listening to Araon -- his new master. With a soft hiss, the lift stopped, bringing motion to the legs of the Knight and his apprentice. Raiken couldn't help but feel incredibly inferior next to the man who spoke of all his faults. Though he knew Araon did not judge him, Raiken still felt determination to gather himself and prove himself a worth addition to the Order. He had heard good things of Araon; he was proud that he would continue Gro's work.
"That sounds excellent," Raiken answered with a slight smirk. After moments of slight silence, with only the sound of the lift's hum between them, the young Padawan spoke again, feeling some need to defend himself from the attacks of the Council that Araon had brought up moments before. "I am not so incapable as they say," he uttered, turning his eyes to Araon. "I know I can do more... I just have to find a way to get past this barrier that's holding me down." He couldn't exactly explain the feeling that had overwhelmed him over his years in the Order, he could only hope that Araon would understand.
A gentle jostle marked the end of the lift's ride, bringing the pair of Jedi to the bottom-level of the Academy. Raiken stepped away from the lift first, looking around him with a wide-spanning gaze. With Araon stepping up next to him, Raiken spoke once more. "So, where to?"

Araon began to make his way to the hangar bay in his usual slow gate. "We will be requisitioning a ship for the evening. We wont be leaving Coruscants Orbit though. We will just be spending the evening somewhere quiet. We will return in the morning." Araon's cloak whisked momentarily from his movement, before it seemed to control itself once again.
"We will need nothing more than the clothes on our backs, and our lightsabers of course." Araon "mmm Perhaps a Technical Droid. Why don't you go down to the droid wing and requisition us a T-3 or T-4 unit." Araon said his wrods reflecting his inner calm. I will wait for you in the Hangar Bay. I'll be over by the short range transports.

Raiken nodded silently, his mind speaking volumes of questions that he wouldn't utter aloud. He was curious, as was natural, as to what exactly his new master had in mind... but he was sure he would find out soon enough. He hadn't expected his training to begin in the skies above Coruscant, as opposed to the rooms of the Temple, but it was refreshing to be outside for once.
"Of course, I will see you there." Raiken nodded once more, turning quickly away from Araon and heading toward the Droid Wing of the Academy. Using the Force to hasten his speed -- or at least to the degree that he could -- Raiken cut down the time it would have otherwise taken him to get to the shop. Once there, he quickly conversed with the Jedi that oversaw the renting of the droids, explaining that Knight Araon An'mar requested the use of one. Using five of his own credits, Raiken put a deposit down on the freshly-programmed T-4 unit, should anything unfortunate happen.
"Follow me," he instructed the T-4. A small series of beeps and boops sounded from the machine's center, followed by the hum of its gears as it began to roll forward. Raiken kept a steady speed, headed this time for the Hangar Bay where his master would be waiting. The Bay, as always, was over-crowded and loud. It was nearly impossible to keep a steady stream of deep thought in such a place.
After searching for several moments with his eyes, Raiken decided to let the Force guide him to the man he sought. Closing his eyes, he stopped and listened. All sorts of energies shouted to him through the web of the Force; some were calm, some were far from calm. "Come on..." and then he had it. Opening his eyes, Raiken walked through a small group of newly-arriving younglings, and then quietly appeared before Araon.
"I am ready."

Araon led his new apprentice and the T-4 droid to the small shuttle he had requisitionned. Its typical red paint Job showed it's ordinary use as being that of a diplomatic ship. Though Araon had another use for it's carpetted and upholstered interior.
With the ship prepared, Araon lead the others up the loading ramp, and onto the ship. He sat down in the co-pilots chair comfortably and closed his eyes. "Why don't you take us to 10th eliptical in sector 7 and hold her at that orbit. We'll begin our first lesson there." Araon's baritone gravelled softly. "
"T-4" The droid responded with a soft whistle, and swivled its head to look at the him. "Could you go to the galley please. Get some drinking water, and bring it to the observation deck." The Droid whistled in response and wheeled away to the galley. Araon rested while he waited for Raiken to take the helm and fly the ship out and into orbit.

Jasen continued to walk along the Temple Halls, lost deep within his own thoughts. He was confused, perhaps a little worried... “This thing has me bugged... a man strong with the Force, yet he gave off an aura I'm not familiar with. I felt cold, alone, and almost like death was looking over my shoulder... I hope I can eventually track him down again, I need to know more of him... until then however, I must find a Master and hope they can help me with this...”, he thought to himself. His every step felt lighter and lighter as his mind seemed to continue it's journey away from the body, eventually he felt almost like he wasn't even walking on a solid surface any more. Eventually however, his lack of awareness for his surroundings got the better of him as he accidentally collided with another being, sending both to the floor in separate directions. He was quickly snapped back to reality and pulled himself to his feet, he realised who he'd just accidentally hit and offered them an immediate help to their feet.
“Master Beleren, I must apologise... I was lost within my own thoughts and didn't mind my surroundings.”, he was quick to apologise as he helped the Master to his feet.
(OOC: Hope you don't mind me having Jasen know of Jace already, seems logical however as he is a Master and Jasen is a Knight).

Jedi Master Jace Beleren had been taking his usual stroll down the hallways to exercise his brain and body. Sitting up in the council chambers can we somewhat restrictive and Jace liked to get out once in awhile. He had a lot of things running through his mind, there were just too many things going on. Jace got so lost in thought that he didn't even realize he bumped into someone until he offered him a hand. Jace looked up and recognized Jasen, one of the many Jedi Knights he had met during his course as a Jedi. He took the offered hand and thanked him.
"Ah it is no problem Jasen, I was lost in thought myself. Why don't you walk with me, I sense something is on your mind"
As they were walking down the hallway Jace inquired
"So my young friend, I sense that your mind is disturbed, what is it that bothers you so?"

“Well, I was recently sent on a diplomatic mission, but when I reached my destination I met a man who was strong in the Force... yet he radiated anger, hatred, all these overwhelming emotions... and ever since I fought him I've been trying to figure out... what... exactly he is, I've never felt so cold in the presence of another being before. I was hoping a Master would know more information on him.”, saying this wasn't as easy as it seemed to be, Jasen struggled with the thought of this for a brief moment, despite being eager to find the answer.
The two continued to walk down the grand Halls, many Jedi passing by to reach their destinations, many also appear lost in their thoughts, but are wary of their surroundings and avoid bumping with others due to this.

Jace listened carefully to everything Jasen said, his face starting to cloud slightly. He continued to walk for a minute or so before finally replying.
"Well Jasen, what you seem to have encountered is a Dark Jedi, at least that is the how we view them. That anger and hatred you sensed so clearly is an indicator of ones path down the dark side.Remember my young Jedi, Anger leads to Hate, Hate leads to suffering and suffering leads to the dark side. Most Jedi do not understand how easy it is to slip over to the dark side, it lulls you in with its promises of power and glory. It focuses on a persons negative aspects...greed and Lust and even pride. You must be strong if you ever encounter these types, for they are driven by greed and even fear. I have faith in your skills but remember that dark side clouds everything, it is not easy to conceive."
Jace continued to walk with the young Jedi and waited to see how he would take this information.

Jasen nodded, he had some knowledge of the dark side, but at his young age it didn't count for much without the experience of facing the real thing. “I had a feeling he was a Dark Jedi, everything I was told about the dark side was summed up by the mere presence of him... I just wish I knew why he was there, what could a Dark Jedi want from Rhen Var...it's not a particularly powerful or influential planet, and it's mainly snow with the exception of some civilisations.”, he was confused, and with reason to be. It was a difficult question to answer with certainty of the right answer.
He turned towards the Master. “Would you have any ideas?”, there was a faint sense of hope in his tone.

Barrin's mind was already in overdrive, the council and himself had already given this much thought. He thought quietly and continued walking for another minute before responding.
"It is hard to discern what the true intentions of the dark side are Jasen. Remember the dark side clouds everything, to truly understand its intentions one must walk the path of the dark side. Now it is possible that this Jedi was just a rogue with no real intention. Yet there are many cases in which someone is lead down the dark path by someone else. We cannot rule out the fact that there may be something greater here. I shall bring it up with the council once again, maybe we can initiate an investigation. Jasen, I reccomend you try to push this to the back of your mind though, do not let it disrupt your focus and training. Brooding too much on what has already happened is not good."
Jace made a mental note to bring it up with the council in its next session. There were too many recent developments with dark Jedi to be ignored.

The hallways had been empty for a good few minutes. Zenn Loso had noticed as much. He couldn't quite understand, given how many people could be found within the Temple at any one time, how these halls could be empty for so long. Not that he took issue with the fact: rather, he was glad for the relative quiet. In the distance he could hear the goings-on of the rest of the Temple; youngling classes being taught; the familiar snap-hiss of a lightsaber bursting to life; the artificial-sounding voice of a holocron divulging its secrets to whomever had activated the device.
Yet at the moment, none of these things were of any real consequence to the young Zabrak. He was far too busy dealing with his own thoughts. He'd reasoned that out here, in the hallways, the space would allow him to think more clearly - and he was right. The quiet was merely an extra advantage. So it was that he found himself wandering the halls with no destination, walking wherever the corridors took him with a slow, strangely purposeful gait.

Jerek walked, his robes rustling behind him. The brisk pace was altogether pleasant and calming, the stir of wind in his face steadying his nerves. He heard that he was needed in the sick bay, as he often was. He was only one of many Jedi Counselors to practice healing, and was only a Padawan, but, unlike many Counselors, he did not go on any diplomatic missions, so he was often in the temple. Conveniently for those that were often sent to retrieve him, he was almost always in the archives. However, he always came fast, and ready, for healing.
He began fiddling with the biotech trinkets he had packed on his robes, a selection that was fairly multi-purpose. Knowing his usual patients, it was probably a training blade wound, or a punishment for clumsiness. The temple was fairly large, and had to build up a little to encompass all of its needs. Jerek could walk to his room from the archives blind-folded by now, but not all the Padawans and Younglings knew the pathways that well. A trip or fall was pretty common. So, his trinkets always boosted in bone regeneration and helped clean wounds.
As his feet landed on the floor, making a clacking sound. He lined up his trinkets in the most common order of use, prepared to heal. He reassured himself, put on his medic face, and became prepared to mend up some people. He kept walking, halfway across the hall, and coming close to the sick bay.
Just then, he saw a group of other Jedi running at full speed to the med bay. When he asked why, they said he was free to go, and the matter did not concern him. So, he decided to meander a little, until he saw a room that he had not been in for a long time. (Moved to: Octahedron Holocron)
