I know someone else has read the books. It's an excellent fantasy series. If you've watched the "Legend of the Seeker" series, its loosely based off the books. I say loosely because I'm not terribly thrilled with the casting job or the liberties they took. Book purists never are.

I agree with you the books are great its one of my favorite series, but with the casting I would have to disagree with one person Bridget Regan who plays Kahlan. She plays the part well and she is very uh... she looks right the problem is how they changed the story that kills the series.

I loved the series up until book like...6 I think it was. I dunno it's been years. But one of the later books just completely failed to hold my attention at all. Also some of the later ones I just feel like I'm in philosophy class or being preached at or something. I dunno why. Maybe if I go give them all a second read I won't feel that way.

Hmm...perhaps I will give them another read. I think one of my favorite moments was also, for me, the saddest. It was when the Mord-Sith that was torturing him (Forget her name) made love to him without the weird pain stick things, and then later on pretty much forced him to kill her. Poor girl.

Ya it was sad though not my fav moment! I always thought when he made Gratch leave to protect him, then Gratch came back to him later because he raised him. That was my fav part

Series totally and completely pwned. I loved everything about it. Latter books were slightly worse.
The shows suck. They just completely and totally twist the story and are literally creating a new series with the same characters practically. Everytime I try to watch it just pisses me off because it was such a great series but the shows suck and don`t do any justice to the books at all.

Just started the series, actually. Guess that Vex indirectly got me started on it, lol. Am addicted to the tv show, so I decided to pick up the first few books.
Few books actually manage to capture my attention, ironically enough, but "Wizard's first rule" has done just that. Love the way that Terry Goodkind describes things, and am taking notes on how his characters act and react to things. I foresee much reading of that novel in my future, and many late(er) nights. As well as some inactivity on the site. xD
