We lost a great man, almost a year ago now, but we can still appreciate his novels and all his other projects. I think my favorite of all his books would be Timeline. I think it's just because I love medieval things. And, well, time travel is cool, too. Plus, I'm really looking forward to Pirate Latitudes, which comes up this December; it's the last book he finished before passing. Any other fans out there?

Yeah, Jurassic Park is a great book, too, and I loved the Andromeda Strain.
State of Fear is another one of my favorites.

MICHAEL CRICHTON IS MY BOI!
I have read every one of his books. Timeline is definitely the best IMO but Jurassic Park is close second.
Andromeda strain was great so was Airframe and Prey. I wasn't too into State of Fear, it was different from his usual stuff so maybe thats why I was a little thrown off

I have read them all (well, all the fiction anyway), plus I own them all.
I think I liked State of Fear mostly because of how he disses on global warming, haha.

I loved Next. That was a fantastic book about genetic research in our time. The dedication page said it all: "The following is a work of fiction. Except for the parts that aren't."

Yeah, that was awesome. I think Next is probably my second favorite after State of Fear and Jurassic Park.
And an update: I did read his latest/last one, Pirate Latitudes. It was a great adventure novel. Not his best but definitely up there.

Jurrassic Park was awesome, I read it AFTER the movie. It was surprised by the old mans death. Eaten alive by Compies.....ouch. X.X

Haha, yeah. And, me too. I discovered the book (and the rest of Crichton's work) afterwards. Which is why I hate the Lost World movie very much. The book is so much better.

I just finished Micro, his "last" book, this morning.
It took be a while to decide whether to read it, since it was unfinished another author, Richard Preston, finished it up.
But I eventually did. And while I would never say it's his best, nor one of my favorites, it's still a good read, a good adventure/thrill.

The Wildfire Facility in The Andromeda Strain was my inspiration for the Project Familiar facility, though I think Jurassic Park was my favorite book/movie. The Great Train Robbery made a nice movie too, just saw it last night.
