Shuffling, Light, and Beats. So, time to make one of these post count boosting, egotistical blogs. I highly doubt many of you will read it, and the half that do just might judge me, but it's all for fun anyway.
Halloween weekend just ended for me, and let me say it was just about the greatest yet. The past three Halloweens I've gone to what we Californians call giant raves "massives". This particular massive was called Monster Massive. And the past three times I've went I didn't have such great times.
This year was different! I have a new group of friends whom I go to raves with now. My new compadre and partner in crime suggested we go to the smaller rave for halloween, and I agreed seeing what talent they had for the line up. Justice? Steve Aoki? Of course I'm in!
So we get there, and let me tell you, the vibe is good, and beautiful people are everywhere! The beats are flowing and is the time of my life. We just so happened to enter the venue right when Steve Aoki was getting on one of the stages and opened with Warp 1.9 (Watch him open!). And let me tell you, that just boosted my energy level on overload for the rest of the night. I gave so many light shows, met some new people, and traded kandi with new friends and old ones.
Then we found out sometime around 1:30 I believe that the special guest DJ that they had kept a secret forever was actually Dead Mau5! Yes! We ran directly to the stage he as playing on, and rode on his beats of energy. That it, until I lost my camera which had a memory card full of pictures of that night. Bummer. But fear not, I didn't let it ruin the rest of my night. I knew what was done was done, so I just kept on flowing with the beats and kept on pumping out the light shows. (which me and my friend killed doing some double team shows. Alas I have no videos of cause the camera lose-age).
So that's how my weekend was. Hopefully you enjoyed reading about it, haha. What will be my next rave? Who knows, but it'd be a score to meet you guy's there! Well here's some pictures of me that night from a different camera that we didn't bring into the event. I did have a indian head dress on that I painted with some awesome glow in the dark neon paints, but I took it off some time in the middle of the night and threw it on the ground cause it was inconvenient. Before We Left,Car Ride Home,Light Show Duo.One more before sleep.

TAO. So, I didn’t post anything in this thing since Halloween and for sort of a good reason. I haven’t gone to any raves since then. Well I’m posting now so I’m sure you can guess where I was. Yes, this post may be a tad late, but hey, if any of you read this, then I’m sure you don’t mind anyway. Hope you enjoy the read.
So me and my friends have only been planning on going to a massive new years rave as opposed to a small rave like the one we went to on Halloween. This massive I’ve been to a few times already, but my friends are a bit new to the rave community, half of them this was going to be their second rave only. This rave was called Together As One, and I feel a pretty fitting name for a New Years Eve rave. Who wouldn’t want to be in the company of friends, great DJs, and beautiful people and ring in the new years ‘Together As One’. Also, who can turn down a night filled with Swedish Egil, KASKADE, David Guetta, and Markus Schulz?
So, our original planned group was quite a large group, and one that I knew would be separated once we were inside the venue. It included four of my friends, a little brother of one of my friends, and his three friends. So in total, including me, that was nine people. Not only that, I knew so many other people going, that plenty of people wanted to meet up with us. Well, last minute, this guy wanted to come with us really bad, but tickets were sold out. So we started sending out mass texts and looking for a extra ticket floating around, but couldn’t find any. So, as a last resort measure, this guy found a ticket off craigslist. Now, I don’t know how many of you are familiar with craigslist and any sort of ticket, but it is suuper duuper shady! Well this guy on craigslist told my friend that his ticket was legit, and if we didn’t believe him, he would walk into the venue with us past the ticket takers, and my friend could pay him once he was inside. Now if you ask me, that sounds like a legit offer.
So we get to the rave, park out car, and oh wait, heres a picture of three of us in the back seat on the way (Cheese!). My friend calls this ticket scalper and he tells us to meet him at a McDonalds across the street and he’ll sell us the ticket. Wait! What happened to walking in with us man? Guess he changed his mind. Well now something fishy is going on. Well out of our group, only one person didn’t need to go to will call because she had her ticket already. So, this guy took her ticket to compare while the rest of us went to will call to get out tickets. So we all have our tickets, my friend little brother and his group of friends go into the venue already cause they don’t feel like waiting. Suddenly I get a call from my friend who went to go buy the ticket and he told me he didn’t get it because the ticket looked nothing like the ticket he borrowed. He mentioned something about orange stripes and I looked down at mine and told him that the will call tickets had orange stripes. So it seems that two different style of legit tickets were floating about. How sneaky party throwers.
Anyway, he goes back and buys the ticket and then we wait in line to get into the party. Suddenly we’re getting separated for the wanding, and body search. Sounds pretty intense right? Well, it’s a rave, I’m not going to lie to you. You know what they’re looking for. So we all pretty much get separated cause already girls and guys are separated. So finally I get in and I see only one of my friends and I go to her asking where out friend is, hoping his ticket was real and he got in. Suddenly I’m tackled from behind, he lucked out, and got a real ticket. Lucky him!
So then the night of partying begins. We couldn’t find the rest of your group (the little brother and his friends) till like an hour before the night ended. I gave tons of light shows to people (like this) and man the count down was insane. Although I think the count down was done like five minutes early, but who cares?! I think David Guetta’s sucked, as I saw him last summer at a rave called Electric Daisy Carnival, and he was WAY better then. Markus Schulz pretty much was my favorite of all time that night, and not to mention I got a great new years kiss! Haha. Anyway here’s a few pictures for you all to enjoy!
