{Yes, this is the Epicanthix party thread. Yeah, it's a crappy post(sorry!). Just trying to start the thread off so the ball can get rolling.}
Visari stood alone in one of the courtyards outside of the Sith Temple. The businessman had been up long before the sun, as he had matters to attend to on board his ship, which remained in orbit above the dessert world of Korriban; he did have a company to run, after all. But his work had been done, and he returned back to the surface with enough time to watch the sun rise. And so there he stood, in the courtyard, waiting as the sky grew lighter and lighter as the sun approached the horizon. And then, as if from no where, the great ball of gas broke into the sky, filling the courtyard with soft hues of red and orange, and even casting a faint reddish tint onto Visari's white hair and goatee.
Truth be told, the early morning was growing to be Visari's favorite time of day. He could have some time himself to think before setting into what were almost always guaranteed to be interesting days around the Temple. Or just enjoy the relative peace fore a time, as he was now. He sighed softly and his sharp green eyes swept over the courtyard, though there was no one else there to look at. Visari had met some interesting characters during his time at the Temple--though some of them were ones would rather have not met--, and his days had been busy. "And I'm sure this day will be no different," he muttered to himself as he tapped his fingers lightly on the head of his polished silver cane.
For a time, the Epicanthix stood there, content to let the time pass by in silence. But it was not too long before he felt several others in the Force. Not surprising, given that there were a good deal of people in the Temple. But, for some reason, two of them in particular stood out to him, and he wasn't entirely sure why. There wasn't any reason he could discern as to why they stood out to him as they did. They just did. Visari frowned just a bit in thought as he pondered what it could be. I suppose I'll find out soon enough.

He found his rest to be quite peaceful. It was as if he was on vacation. Though... he was, technically, as he had taken leave, but that's an entirely different meaning. No, this chance to get some rest without the bother of drills, alarms or calls to arms was among one of the galaxy's greatest medicines for Jack. He only alarm he had to worry about this morning, was the one going off in his ear. He rolled over and hit it. He sighed as he dressed in his "street garb." Wearing all the regular clothes but the thin breastplate. He was going to be doing excercises and he was taking a break, so there was no need for it. He took a good stretch when he stepped out of the vehicle, and with his stretch, stretched out with the Force, unleashing all the chains he kept on it. He usually had to keep it in check, as he was constantly in the company of the same people, and prolonged exposure to his pulsing bits of residual anger and mere dark aura could slowly demoralize such unwary men.
As he walked, the sun began to creep over the horizon, he turned to look at it, as it erupted with its rising, hues shining red and orange like that of his own lightsaber, his own aura, perhaps. Such was an extravagant thought. The grizzled Epicanthix walked backwards, admiring the sun and allowing it to warm him from the front. This place was absolutley gorgeous. It was then that something piqued his interest. It was like a tickling feeling of a presence unlike others of those he'd met before. He was quite close to it, too. It just felt... different. He decided to forego the plans he had made to exercise for the time being and investigate. As he drew near, he began to make out a figure basking in the same colors as Jack had been moments ago.

Morning were pretty much the same no matter which planet you were on. Rolling out of the bunk in a less than graceful manner, Zarene Yin yawned and plodded over to the washstand, scrubbed her teeth, splashed some water in her face, and brushed her hair, the usual morning thing. She was still getting used to being in this new Temple, and apparently some of the occupants were too, judging by the noise that had been going on last night. The entire night, someone somewhere was making noise, probably the boys shooting lightning at each other or comparing who had the biggest lightsaber... again.
She sighed as she pulled her hair back, tying it into a ponytail with a strand of ribbon, put on a pair of gauntlets and slipped into her short-sleeved jacket. At least the fact that most of the initiates seemed preoccupied with strutting around the hallways (some even on top of the temple!), meant that the training rooms were most likely unoccupied. Her belt, with her blasters and lightsaber hanging on it, floated over from the rack on the wall, tying itself around her waist.
With another yawn, she headed out into the hallways of the Temple.

Beautiful the sun may have been but as it rose, it revealed the harsh skin of the world that the Sith called home. The rocks of Korriban spread out on the valley floor, hard and unforgiving. Visari walked over to the edge of the courtyard on the exterior of one of the Temple's higher levels and looked out over the valley that was set before him. Fitting that the Sith would choose such a place as this, he thought as his eyes scanned over the landscape down below.
But though his attention may not have been completely focused on them, the two presences he felt in the Force continued to nag at the back of his head. And, by the Force, he could not determine what it was about them that grabbed his attention so. But he pushed that away and returned to his thoughts. With a slight sigh, he opened himself up to the Force, letting it fill him to the very core of his being, as his master had taught him so many years ago. The Force felt different to everyone, from what he had gathered over the years. He'd heard some describe it as an intense heat, and others as the essence of some emotion. To Visari, it was like a cold, rushing river, one that would threaten to sweep him away if he did not control it. And, he'd been told to by some that, on occasion, that leaked out and that they could feel it, like a sudden chill that set into the air. It was an interesting thing, and Visari sometimes liked to ponder it.
But that would have to wait 'till a later time. One of the presences that had pricked at his mind had drawn near. Very near. Visari turned around to find a man, tall and with an air of dominance standing in the courtyard. Visari nodded slightly at the man in greeting. "How does this morning find you? I cannot say that we have crossed paths before, as your face is an unfamiliar one," he said as he walked over to the man, his cane ringing softly out on the stones of the courtyard. "You may call me Visari. And you are?"

Jack had found his way to the unique presence. It drew him like a magnet. He felt some sort of unknown attraction to him, as if something about him was similar to Jack, but at the same time, it wasn't. He drew closer and closer, begining to feel the cold emotion swirling around the man he had been approaching. He had made his way to the door, walking out and towards the courtyard and as he did so, noticed another presence. One similar to this man's, the quality that made him seem... familiar. Regardless, the intriguing man stood not far away, and before Jack could address him, he turned around and spoke to Jack.
How does this morning find you? I cannot say that we have crossed paths before, as your face is an unfamiliar one. You may call me Visari. And you are?
Well then, quite polite for a Sith. Jack decided to maintaint he same respects for this one.
Ah, it finds me well, it finds me well. I can't say we have, Visari, and I would believe it to be in both our good fortunes to have met.
My name is Xzun Grozmick, but you may call me Jack. What brings you to this courtyard at such a fine hour?
There was something about the man's features that Jack couldn't place, but felt familiar, different from others, but no so much unlike his own. Perhaps this man would mention the meaning of this or knew of it, and would discuss it, if not, perhaps Jack might bring it up himself. Regardless, this looked to be a very promising conversation.

Given the other residents of the Temple, Zarene was slightly surprised at how calmly she was able to move through the hallways. Every person here, every single one, had made a name for themselves somewhere, somehow, usually by rather unpleasant means. Dangerous men and women, who for the most part were used to working alone. All this place needed was one spark in the wrong place...
Of course, it wasn't as if Zarene wasn't dangerous herself. For the past three years, if the galactic criminal organization known as the Exchange needed an upstart crime lord or a high-profile target terminated with extreme prejudice, Zarene was one of a small number of agents who would get the call. She never reached the same amount of infamy as some of these others, but with only one client and steady employment from said client, there was the need for her to go out and engage in self-promotion like the others.
And besides, she was still young, one of the younger ones in the Temple. Only 21.
Had she still been a part of the Jedi Order, she would have been preparing for her trials at this point. If she had still been on her birthworld of Panatha, she probably would have just started being considered an adult...
Panatha... she had no actual memories of the place. Taken away for Jedi training before her first birthday, she had never once set foot on its soil since. She had seen pictures, learned about the place on the holovids, but that wasn't the same. Just one more thing that the Jedi and the rest of the galaxy had taken away from her. Put that on the list next to an arm, a lung, and half a face.
She was on one of the balconies that ran above and overlooked one of the courtyards. Down below, she could see two men talking, both old and bearded. They looked human enough, but no, they seemed different, more like... her. The Epichanthix as a people didn't leave their home system in Outer Rim very often. Could there really be two others in this Temple?
