An ancient forest deep within a younger one. These trees are long dead, shambling corpses that never move. No animal life moves, and no bird sings. It seems the death of this forest has affected more than just wood. An ancient evil seems to slumber here, sensed only by those gifted with the Force. Some are repelled by this, but others are drawn in, like a spider's web, fascinating to look at, but deadly once you are caught in it. Everywhere looks the same, and the ground is spongy, leaving no tracks, no possible way to track one's movement- only a fools chance of ever escaping it... Tsubasa vs Jarzec Matukai Adept vs Dark Jedi Knight Ya'll are in for the long haul, since you both were silly enough to not give me boundaries for length! Mwaahahahahhaa! SEVEN rounds it is! 3 2 1 Rugs start!

Quiet.
That's all there was: still, unnatural quiet.
Even in the depths of his meditation, the quiet was a bit unnerving to Tsubasa, a young Matukai who had found himself quite lost in this unnatural forest. At first that hadn't really been a problem; he had a love of nature, one that had come from his teacher, and the thought of spending some time wandering around in a forest wasn't too bad. But this forest was different. There was something about it, about the stillness that permeated it, that was a bit unnerving. So Tsubasa did what he always did when he was in such a wary state: he meditated. Even so, there was something wrong with this place, he could feel it through the Force. It was like the place had a soul, and that soul was cold, and harsh, like the cool wind that blew through the trees.
Tsu stood balanced on one foot, his left arm out in front of him and the old sword he got from his teacher held behind him in a reverse grip in his right hand. The two other weapons he carried, his wan-shen and a short jagged vibroblade hung at his wast. The wan-shen looked more like a sword with a broad blade than a pole arm at the moment, since its collapsible haft was compacted at the moment, but it was much more than that.
Why is it so cold here? he thought, as he let the Force flow through him, trying to keep some feeling of cleanliness in this dark place. This isn't normal... His amber eyes slowly slid open and he sighed, coming out his meditative stance as he did. "How long has it been?", he muttered to himself; it was rather easy for him to lose track of the time when he meditated. Tsubasa craned his head up to look for the sun, but it was hard to tell where it was in the sky through the boughs of the trees around him. He slid the sword back into the sheath that hung across his back and started to walk, hoping to find his way out so he could get to his ship and leave this place.
After wandering around for about half an hour, Tsubasa suddenly came to a stop. Someone was following him. Someone dark; though his ability to sense with the Force may not have been that great, he could sense that much. His eyes darted back and forth, but he could not see anyone. Tsu shook his head in irritation and rested his hand lightly on he hilt of his jagged vibroblade. "Alright," he called out, "I know that you're following me." Tsu smirked. "If you want an ass kicking then come on out and get it. I have better things to do than to wait on you."

Ah, how tranquil this forest was, so full of an ancient hatred, it was all Jarzec could do not to admire it. The sights and smells were that of a normal forest, to be sure, but the Force told otherwise. This place had seen much in the way of darkness and evils. It reeked of it through the Force. It was absolutly delicious, like taking a soothing and relaxing bath in hatred. It was a cool and relaxing hatred. It wasn't so much a taint, as it was a sort of radiation. As Jarzec meditated, he could feel so much and it was so tangible, he wasn't even sure how many hours had passed whilst in this meditative state. Then, something struck at him. It was like a sore thumb in a place like this. It was an out of place and unique Force signature, and he was going to find out what.
He stood up and stretched out his limbs for a bit, trying to limber up a bit, before persuing this new being. He was glad it stood out so much, or he would never have found it. Using the Force to draw his previous master's blue blade from the holster on his hip, he took off a quick pace, as he was uncertain whether or not this would be a threat, so it would be wise to conserve energy. As he drew near to the presence, he took to a tree. What energy he used to propel his body in such a way stretched to the limits of his knowledge in such an aspect of the Force, but he planned to spy on this thing before it spied him.
Peering around his safe tree, he found that he was about 30 yards away from the encroacher. It was a humanoid of some kind, most likely human from the looks of it, but one could never be sure. He appeared to be mediating, but it was a unique meditaiton, and the vibes it gave off were not those of Jedi, but were certainly not of the dark side. He's quite unique, thought Jarzec, but that won't save him. The man then ended his meditation and began to walk about the forest. He followed for half an hour, attempting to gauge this being. He had never dealt with his kind before, and wasn't sure just what he could be. Then, the man stopped.
Alright, I know that you're following me. If you want an ass kicking then come on out and get it. I have better things to do than to wait on you.
Jarzec could not help but smile a tooth-filled smile. The man was looking around for him, which made Jarzec all the more glad that he'd jumped to the tree, his presence was masked by the backdrop of the darkness of the forest, which somewhat resembled his own. Jarzec looked towards the man as he finished his threats, and adressed him, hanging from the back of the tree, just out of view.
You're a little far from home aren'tcha pal? I don't think you're the one in the position to be issuing threats, either...
He would toy with this one for a while, he thought, and he would enjoy every last drop of it. By days end, the forest would have another evil to add to its ancient and malicious collection.

Tsubasa sneered at the threats from the unseen man. How odd it was that he claimed Tsu wasn't in a position to be issuing threats when he himself was hiding amongst the trees. Tsubasa looked around, turning his eyes from tree to tree, searching for the place where the man's voice had originated from. He could narrow it down to a general area by using the direction the sound came from, but he still wasn't sure about the exact location.
Tsu relaxed with a bit of a chuckle, and started to bounce lightly from foot to foot, to limber up a bit. "Well, stranger, I don't really have a home, you see." Tsubasa laughed to himself. "Nah, for me, home is wherever I decide to sleep for the night, or my ship."
He suddenly stopped and did a few light punches and kicks; nothing serious though-just enough to get the blood flowing. His arms fell back to his side, and he sighed lightly; this would be fun. A fight was coming, that much he could tell, and there was nothing better than the rush of a good fight between two similarly skilled opponents. That is, if the man that was hiding was near Tsubasa's level, something Tsu very much doubted. It's bound to be better than the usual goons I have to fight on my security jobs, though, he thought with a wry grin. If there was one thing the young Epicanthix loved more than anything else, it was a good fight, and he was quite ready for whatever was coming.
"And besides," he called out. "You think that I'm not the one in the position to be making threats?" He gently pulled the jagged vibroblade out of the sheath on his hip, and held it loosely in his right hand. "After all, I'm out here in the open, while you? You hide somewhere off in the distance, perhaps behind a tree." That much was a guess, but really, there weren't many other places for someone to hid in the forest.
Tsu reached out with his senses as best he could, but he wasn't skilled enough in that area to find the man; the darkness of the forest hid everything else from him. He grunted under his breath and held his arms up and out to either side of him, in open invitation for the man to come. Even so, he was alert, ready to move at a moment's notice. Cocky he may have been, but he was not stupid. "So come on out, buddy! I promise I won't cut you too bad!"
Unless I have to, he thought as a smirk painted his face.

Jarzec laughed under his breath. This one was cocky, which proved this to be fun. It could be possible that this man was more powerful than Jarzec's impression, but it wouldn't matter, the fight would surely end with the challenger's body in a pool of his own blood, begging Jarzec to kill him. The thought served to widen Jarzec's sinister grin.
Then came the remark about Jarzec hiding in a tree. A light rush of embarassment followed by anger shot through Jarzec. Which was followed by a "Come on out, I promise I won't cut you too bad." At this, his disguise was completely lost, as he had not only jumped down from the tree, in plain view, but his Force presence was raging with anger. It was a controlled anger, but nontheless seeped and poured in tendrils around him. He could practically smell it. The snap-hiss of his deceased master's dark blue lightsaber soon followed.
You see this lightsaber here? This here lightsaber has seen the blood of many. It has also seen the blood of its own master. That's right, the man who once owned this lightsaber died by its very blade. He was a man that lived by the blade. And you know what they say about those who live by the blade? They die by the blade.
With a cold, devilish look in his eye, Jarzec looked directly into the eyes of the man who stood but twenty yards away from him.
Are you prepared to die by the blade, sir? Are you prepared to enter in the throes of battle, casting caution into the wind? Are you prepared to test the thirst of this lightsaber, to test me? In a world where a blade or apprentice can turn on you in the blink of the eye, and it could happen in a place of shelter or presumed saftey. You, who makes everywhere his home, may think yourself safe, sir warrior, but you've never met one as me; that I can guarantee. Are you ready, sir? Are you ready for the world of hurt you've brought upon yourself?
With an unreadable grin, Jarzec lifted his 'saber and brought it into the classic makashi salute.

Tsu's expression was one of surprise when the Dark Jedi appeared before him. He tensed, preparing to be attacked, but no such attack ever came. Instead the man started to talk. And talk. And talk. As the long-winded fellow went on and on, Tsu's expression went from surprise to amusement to outright impatience. By the end of it, he stood with his arms crossed and his foot tapping lightly on the ground.
"Man, you sure talk a lot, you know that? You can call me Tsubasa by the way... Or Tsu, whatever floats your boat. Anything's better than 'sir warrior'." He threw his head back and laughed, but it was a warm laugh; this new fellow was entertaining.
Tsu nodded in surprise in response to the Dark Jedi's salute. He made his own salute, crossing both arms in an 'x' in front of his chest and bowing slightly. "It will be an honor to do battle with you... whatever-your-name-is." He flicked on his jagged vibroblade as he straightened, and the wicked serrated weapon started to hum threateningly. "And don't think that glowing stick of yours scares me. I've defeated or killed more men then you've ever dreamed of beating. All of these weapons of mine have seen more blood than that thing." He gestured at the lightsaber dismissively.
"Anyway, now that I'm done talking as much as you have, let's get started, eh?" Tsu took a few quick hops back and started to bounce from foot to foot, in what was more or less his ready stance. "Will you be worthy to see me wan-when, I wonder? I hope not, for your sake." That much was true. Though he quite enjoyed playing with his opponents when he fought them, once his wan-shen was out, Tsu was nearly unstoppable. Of course, it had been a while since he had to take a foe seriously, so part of him wanted Jarzec to up to the challenge. Of course, he could just whip the wan-shen out for kicks... Time would tell.
Tsu suddenly launched out into his attack, moving with a grace that often surprised those that didn't know how much skill he had in fighting. He was very agile, though he was not yet moving as quickly as he could. His first attack was a punch, aimed at Jarzec's rib. Then he launched himself into a flip, and aimed a kick at the Dark Jedi's head, as he landed, he instantly transitioned into a crouch, slashing out at Jarzecs thigh with his vibroblade as he did.

Jarzec laughed aloud. These things can happen when people get him in a fit. Just another character flaw of mine, he thought, shaking his head and grinning widely. His long winded taunt, in retrospect, should have ended with him on the offensive, but for some reason, he just wasn’t certain and had elected to allow his opponent the privilege of attacking first. The man across from him introduced himself as Tsubasa, and proceeded to bounce back and forth on his feet. Feet that will soon be knocked out from under him, thought Jarzec. He was really going to have to prove himself now after that monologue, too. He put a lot of effort into that one, even though the words flowed quite nicely and instinctively to him. Yet another smile erupted onto his face. Then, his dark brown eyes narrowed at Tsu, who dared insult his worth. Jarzec responded by shifting his feet, and preparing a shien stance. It was the only form he knew outside of shii-cho, though his master had taught him the Makashi salute in order to unsettle his opponents, which didn’t seem to work this time, as Tsu was now rushing at him. Let’s kick some ass, thought Jarzec.
Jarzec was suddenly shocked at how gracefully Tsu was moving toward him, and was caught so off-guard, that the man managed to land his first punch to the ribs. Jarzec quickly responded by ducking under the kick to his head and blocking the vibroblade with his ‘saber. This proved to be another surprise, as the vibroblade remained intact when making contact with his lightsaber. Jarzec was going to have to stop underestimating his opponent; it was going to cost him if he continued to be careless. He slashed down at Tsu’s legs and then diagonally slashed at his shoulder, pushing the force into himself quickly and with passion, increasing his ability to a small degree, he would need all he could against such an opponent. He could feel off this man the emanations of the Force as it guided his movements and strikes, it came off in waves, but it was a somewhat checked ability, unlike Jarzec’s which was still rippling with waves of hot anger.
As soon as he brought second strike down, he back flipped away and hurled a mild Force lightning at Tsu’s midriff, which he followed up with a concentrated force push towards his feet, and landed. He had only a few other Force based attacks in his arsenal, though only Force lightning and Force scream were his most effective attacks, he also knew how to Force drain, but he would be hard pressed to pull it off, as he needed to be in close contact with Tsu, which was something he wished to avoid. Jarzec stood with but a few trees around him, and lightsaber radiating in his hand with an abysmal blue tone, his body set in a shien stance, which caused the light to be cast along his face. He concluded with one statement.
Name’s Jarzec Taelstrom, let’s get this show on the road.

Tsu smiled wryly to himself when his punch connected. Good, got him on the first hit. He might not be that much of a challenge after all. A short chuckle came from his throat as Jarzec ducked underneath his kick and blocked his strike with the vibroblade. "Well, at least you seem to be a little competent," he said, not even attempting to keep the arrogance within him from showing in his voice. Another laugh came forth at the sudden look of surprise on Jarzec's face when his lightsaber failed to get through Tsu's vibroblade. "What? You think I'd just use a weapon that could get cut up by your little glow rod there? That wouldn't be very smart."
Tsu laughter continued as Jarzec went on the offensive. Tsu jumped up over Jarzec's swing to his legs, making it look almost effortless as he did. He struck out at Jarzec as he landed, aiming a strike for the Dark Jedi's head, but his counterstroke turned into a parry as he had to knock Jarzec's strike aside. Well, well, there might be more to him than I thought, Tsu mused amusedly as he moved back a bit to get his bearings before attacking once more. As he did, he could feel waves of anger rolling off of Jarzec. He smiled. "Hey there, why you so mad? There's no-"
He was suddenly cut off by the need to defend himself. Jarzec launched a wave of lighting at him and Tsu brought his hand up in front of him to protect himself. He knew some things about using the Force to defend himself; his teacher had taught him many different things about the Force. Tsu was decent at it, though there were certainly those in the galaxy that were better at it. The lightning was caught into a ball of energy in his hand, but it was the limit of what he could fight off; if Jarzec could do better, he'd have to try to avoid it rather than block it. But before he could try to throw the lightning back at Jarzec, he was sent stumbling back by a wave of the Force slamming into him. The lightning flew off into the forest as he lost his concentration, and he fell onto his back, but he was in motion as soon as he hit, rolling to the side and jumping back onto his feet.
He nodded at Jarzec when the man told him his name. "Nice to meet you Jarzec," he said as he slid the sword his own teacher had once wielded from the sheath on his back. It was a simple blade, and looked a bit like a dao. Tsu held it in his right hand and moved his vibroblade to his left and grinned wickedly at Jarzec. "I hope you're ready" was all he said before renewing his assault on his foe. He rushed in, moving faster now but not yet drawing on the Force. In an instant he was on Jarzec, making his attacks in graceful sweeps and strokes, attacking from one side and then another, high then low, with a thrust thrown in here and there to throw the Dark Jedi off. Suddenly he jumped back and turned to face a tree behind him, jumping up and off of it to launch into what would be a brutal spinning kick, aimed at Jarzec's chest.

Jarzec allowed himself a smile when Tsu caught his lightning, though appeared to struggle with it somewhat, and then suddenly be knocked backwards and unleash the lightning from his hand into the forest. The sight of seeing such a graceful combatant stumble was intoxicatingly amusing. He gave an audible chuckle at this and mocked Tsu:
There's no what, Tsubasa---?
The end of his sentence was cut off at how quickly Tsu managed to get back up on his feet. He gave a "humph" in dissapointment , and recieved Tsu's "nice to meet you" with a mere nod. He shifted his feet on the spongy soft ground and stared directly at Tsu as he adressed Jarzec, withdrawing another blade from his back. Sith Spit, thought Jarzec. I hope you're ready.
With that Tsubasa charged down at Jarzec, who quickly reverted to a defensive state. It was all he could manage without diving into the Force, an offence would leave him too open and he wasn't skilled enough to try such things. Instead, he was just slowly and surely being set off-balance by Tsu's barrage of attacks. Jarzec ducked and weaved, parried and blocked as Tsu assailed him. Though he was holding his own, it could only last but so long. Then, instantly, Tsu lept back, Jarzec still somewhat off-balance, and jumped from off of a tree into a powerful kick; it was then that Jarzec fomulated his split decision plan.
Jarzec fell backwards in an effort to avoid the attack, as well as having already been set off-balance by Tsu, firing off a two-handed Force lightning attack whilst on his back. Tsubasa's kick cleared over Jazec, Tsu's body within less than inches of his own as the trasaction occured. The kick, however, was nothing compared with what happened next. As Tsu was traveling towards Jarzec, the lightning struck right on Tsu's vibroblade, which, in his quick reflexes, let go of just before the electricity rode the blade down to the vibration chamber. The explosion rippled through the air, spewing shrapnel every which-way, most towards the ground, due to the angle the blade fell. A piece of metal ripped into Jarzec's cheek, and the explosion launched Tsu forward and flipped Jarzec's body over.
As Jarzec scrambled to his feet, his hand instinctivly went to the cut on his face. From the feel of it, it was a rather large gash, and rivlets of coppery blood were oozing from it. As he turned to look at Tsu, he decided against making any more rash decisions. If things kept up the way they were now, he'd end up killing himself before Tsubasa Arus could even get the chance.

Tsu's grin widened as he pressed his attack on Jarzec. The man was holding his own for the time being, but that wouldn't last long. He was struggling; Tsu could see that. All I have to do is press a little harder, he thought. Pity, he won't get to see my wan-shen. Oh well. He went into his kick, thinking for all the world that he had Jarzec beat; after all, even if he missed, he was still in close to the Dark Jedi, and seemed to be much better than Jarzec at fighting up close.
And then it happened.
As he flew towards Jarzec, the Dark Jedi unleashed a wave of lighting from his hands that hit Tsu's vibroblade. He dropped the weapon as soon as the energy hit, and good thing he did, because the thing went off with a small explosion that threw the two combatants to the ground and sent a small piece of shrapnel cutting into Tsu's upper arm. He winced from the pain for a moment before pushing himself to his feet and shaking the grogginess from his head. His weapon lay before him on the ground, and was more or less ruined. Tsu picked it up and looked at it with a scowl before turning his attention to Jarzec. "I don't think you realize what it is you've just done, Jarzec," he said, and the arrogance in his voice was gone, replaced by a quiet anger. Tsu shook his head slowly as he tossed the ruined weapon to the ground and tightened his grip on his sword. The Force flowed into him as he held his hand over the cut on his arm, and a soft light glowed from beneath it as he used the Force to shut the wound. Then he turned his gaze back to Jarzec, and his amber eyes stared at the man, cold and hard. The time for games is over now, he thought. This man will die. "I hope you didn't have anything planned for later," Tsu said flatly. "Because you just made the worst mistake of your life. You won't leave this forest alive, I can promise that."
He drew his sword up before him in his ready stance before launching out again. This time, he held nothing back in his assault, and move with a litheness that he had not used against a foe in quite some time. He flowed from attack to attack, starting a new one seamlessly where the last began. He slashed, cut, and thrust at Jarzec, and threw in a feint from time to time, moving relentlessly. This man will die, he thought again, his face a mask of grim determination. Suddenly he spun back, throwing his blade straight up into the air, sending it flipping end-over-end into the air. As soon as it was out of his hand he resumed his attack, letting loose two punches and a kick before spinning back to the position where he had thrown his blade into the air. He caught it by the hilt in his gauntleted hand as it fell back to the ground, and slid it smoothly back into the sheath on his back.
Then he took the compacted wan-shen from his hip and let it out, extending it with a with a short snap of his wrist and a twisting motion to lock the segmented parts of the haft in place. The weapon looked very much like what we know as a pudao, with a white metal haft and a blade of blackened metal. Gold work wove gracefully around the haft of the weapon, coming together at the point where the blade connected and flaring back out across the surface of the blade. It was a work of art, in a way, and had been built when he graduated to the rank of Adept, in the same way that a Jedi would build a lightsaber.
Tsu spun the weapon 'round, flourishing as he brought it to his ready stance, with it held out diagonally behind him in his right hand, and his left hand out before him. The Force flowed into him, filling the totality of his being. Tsubasa grinned wickedly at Jarzec. "I sure do hope you're ready to die Pal." He meant it. The proverbial gloves were off now, and he would show no mercy.

Though somewhat dazed, Jarzec looked intently at Tsu as he got up. The man who opposed him looked none too happy, either. He had a gash along his upper arm, and in his grogginess, walked over to his weapon and picked it up, inspecting it. “I don't think you realize what it is you've just done, Jarzec,” the anger rose up through his voice, enough to make Jarzec smile, he was getting to him. “I hope you didn't have anything planned for later, because you just made the worst mistake of your life. You won't leave this forest alive, I can promise that.” This only served to widen Jarzec’s smile and prompt him to respond.
Well, I was planning on getting a drink to drown my troubles in, but it appears you need one more, as it seems you’re in mourning
He gestured at the wrecked vibroblade.
And you can take your “promises” and shove them. I plan to walk out of this forest having “cleaned up” another one of the galaxy’s stains.
Jarzec laughed a good belly laugh at that. Though it was a short lived laugh, as Tsu quickly leapt back into action. Jarzec swore under his breath as the rain of blades came down on him. This time it was different though. This time he had to push all his effort and concentration into it. He unleashed his emotions fully, letting them take control. He was at the limit of his close-quarters ability. It proved not to be enough though. With each slip-up or outmaneuver came a cut on the arm, or a bruise on his ribs. Each time he was hit, his anger rose, as well as his frustration. Suddenly, Tsu threw the blade into the air and threw a few punches and a kick at Jarzec, who was caught fully off-guard and managed to be unable to block them with his lightsaber. He blocked the punches, but the kick knocked him back. Just as he got knocked back, Tsu spun back and caught the sword, sheathing it.
Jarzec was panting heavily, pushed to the brink of physical exertion. The Force, however, was still strong in him, as well as a massive dose of frustration. Tsu proceeded to unpack an odd weapon Jarzec had only seen once before on the streets of Nar Shaddaa. It was a wan-shen. A brutal pole-arm with a blade on the end, they were only used by the Matukai. This explained a lot about how this man fought and how he managed to do so well. This caused a few new curses and surge of anger. At this point, Jarzec decided, he’d had enough.
He extinguished his lightsaber and slid it in its holster. The rage he was in drowned out Tsu’s remark: “I sure do hope you’re ready to die, pal.” Electricity began to cackle and spark along the hands at his sides, the Force started to billow his robes and kick up dust around him. The blue sparks danced all up and down his arms. It was as if a beast of lighting was raging in its cage, dying for the chance to be unleashed. It was in the tizzy such a beast would if its master was approaching its cage, reaching for the lock. It was at that time that Jarzec loosed it.
A blast of lightning, more powerful than any he had ever formed, erupted from both his outstretched hands. Though it wasn’t powerful enough to be lethal, the charge slammed into Tsu at full force.

Tsu didn't respond to Jarzec's little quips--an odd thing for him, and not a position you'd want him to be in if he was an enemy. Instead, he merely went on the offensive, and it seemed that many of his attacks were striking true. In smiled again in spite of himself as he watched his blows land on Jarzec, cutting and bruising the Dark Jedi. He almost squealed with glee as his kick landed on Jarzec; it had been a long time since he had gotten to wail on someone this bad, and it was fun. "Wearing out already, buddy," he asked, that hint of cockiness returning to his voice, "maybe you should work out some more or somethin'. Can't have an out of shape Dark Jedi running around."
Tsu watched his foe crackle with energy in the Force with a cocked eyebrow. Jarzec's anger flowed off of him in waves, and Tsu could feel them through the Force. Despite his outward calm, he made ready to do whatever he could to defend himself. Shortly after, the lightning exploded forth from Jarzec's fingertips, like a hound loosed from its kennel. Tsu's hand was up immediately to defend himself, and Jarzec's strike slammed into it. The young Matukai grunted from the impact, and found himself forced to take some steps back, lest he be knocked over from the force of the attack. Even so, he knew he couldn't stop the onslaught. Lightning crackled around his fingers, as if it were biting out at him, trying to get past his defense. If it held up for much longer, it would no doubt get its wish. I thought I was going to try to move out of the way next time he did this, Tsu thought with no small amount of sarcasm. Before he could think of anything else to do, the lightning broke through, and his defense crumbled before him. Well, dammit was the only thing he had time to think before it flew into him.
Fierce blue bolts of lightning slammed into his torso, and he was thrown to the ground. It hurt. Very much. Despite his intentions, a scream of pain escaped from his throat before he could stop it and he writhed around on the ground as the lightning crawled over his body. But his will to beat the life out of Jarzec only strengthened as the man's onslaught wrecked havoc on him. Finally, after a few seconds that seemed like an hour, the attack came to a stop. As soon as it did, Tsu drew on the Force, pained though he was. Aside from some burns here and there, he'd be alright, and he could treat the burns when he had time to focus without having a lightsaber stuck into him. For the time being, he let the Force flow through him, using his healing talents to heal what he could and dull the pain from the rest.
He pushed himself to his feet slowly, leaning on his wan-shen as he did. His amber eyes narrowed at Jarzec as he regarded the man once more. Now Tsu was gonna do more than just kill the man; he was gonna kill him three times over. He started to focus the Force through his body, letting it fill every part of him. If Jarzec thought he'd seen the fierce side of Tsubasa Arus before, then he was in for quite the surprise. Now Tsubasa would fight the Matukai way, using the Force to augment his own natural abilities.
Without warning, he launched into his attack. His wan-shen was almost a blur in his hands as he spun, singing the pole arm around him to gather momentum before reaching out into a wide sweep at Jarzec's neck. But ah! It was a feint. Right before it got within striking distance, he reversed it, bringing the counterweight end of the weapon in to strike Jarzec's chest. Even then, he transitioned with the grace of a dancer into his next attack, spinning and sliding his grip down to the end of his weapon before swinging it out out in a horizontal slash at Jarzec's midsection. Once that was done, he slammed the end into the ground, using it to propel himself forward. As he did, he channeled the Force into his right arm to strengthen it--not that he was weak by any means--as he sent a vicious punch at Jarzec's face with his guantleted hand.

As soon as Jarzec saw the blow land, he felt his anger quenched, but not sated. The blow hit Tsu, but he was protecting himself with the Force, and this served only to increase the rage within Jarzec as he pushed even harder. Then, it broke through. The laugh that Jarzec issued from his mouth was like none other. It was as if the hatred and maliciousness that embodied the lightning was speaking through him. It came out with a deep and dark throated laugh that only vaguely resembled his voice, the rest felt caught up in such demonic joy that it would be hard to ever replicate. It rang out through the forest, almost tainting everything it echoed off of. The scream that Tsu expelled served only to make him laugh harder and deeper. His eyes glowed a sinister yellow. He kept it going for as long as he could, but made sure to reserve some of his energies. When he cut it off, he dropped his arms, exasperated and smiled, whispering.
Do you feel the power?
He looked to the smoldering man that lay before him, who naturally began to heal his wounds, but not thoroughly, which Jarzec was very glad for. He used the Force to extract his lightsaber back from its holster and back to his hand, and ignited it upon contact. Tsu proceeded to get up as Jarzec took his breather. At this point, Jarzec could feel Tsu’s anger rising up. In this case, it was a bad thing, in any other circumstance, he could find some way to reverse that anger back upon Tsu, as he’d been groomed to do back home, but this wasn’t home, and Tsu was at battle with him, not in conversation. He was just going to have to fight off the anger that was within this man. Then, abruptly, Tsu struck. One moment Tsu stood, leaning on his wan-shen like a crutch, the next, his blade dancing like a Twi’lek at a bar. Jarzec moved quickly to protect his neck from the oncoming blade, only to be smashed in the chest by the other end of the weapon. The resulting attack coupled with a quick prodding from the Force, told him to ride the attack out, his body leaned fully backwards, and he barely managed to avoid a quick slice to the stomach. He had no time and balance to respond, however, when a metal-handed fist struck him in the face as he pulled his body back upright.
The blow hit him full force, loosing a fresh spurt of blood and a few teeth. The blow followed through, passing his head, and in that blow, an idea clicked in his mind. He reached for Tsu’s arm in an attempt to use Force Drain. Jarzec was fairly well trained in the ability, though he required contact, but should he catch him, what would ensue would be a drain of Tsu’s own energy and Jarzec would, in effect, heal himself. The way he weighed it out, it would probably dull the pain in his mouth, eliminate most, if not all, of his bruises, and close up the cut on his face. It would also leave him with the same amount of energy he started with. Though if it failed, he would either end his life or he would be without an arm. It was a risk he was willing to take. After all:
You gotta risk it to get the biscuit!
With that, Jarzec struck out for Tsu’s arm.

Tsubasa grinned wickedly as his onslaught proved to be effective against Jarzec. The Dark Jedi fell for the feint, and got a smack from the other end of his wan-shen as a prize. "Surprise!" he yelled out mockingly when the blow landed, and he launched into his punch with renewed vigor, confident that he had Jarzec on the ropes. It would just take one final effort, and he could end the fight. It was Tsu's turn to laugh as his fist slammed into Jarzec's face. He could feel the severity of the impact through his gauntlets, and it tickled him so. "Hey, buddy, you shouldn't let people with metal gloves hit you in th-"
Tsu gloating was abruptly cut short as Jarzec's hands reached out and closed around his arm. He tried to pull back, and though he knew he was probably stronger than Jarzec was, the Dark Jedi's grip was tight, and he refused to let go. He dropped his wan-shen from his other hand and brought it around to punch Jarzec in the side of the face as Jarzec made his silly little quip. But he never carried the punch through. As soon as Jarzec stopped speaking, Tsu suddenly felt the energy being sucked out of him, as if it were flowing into a sieve. Tsu's amber eye's went wide in horror, and he gasped in surprise as he felt himself weakening. One look into Jarzec's eyes was all he needed to know that this was the man's doing. Tsu's mind raced as he fell to his knees, and the edges of his vision began to go dark. Then, he formed a plan.
There was an ability that the Matukai possessed, one of the many things they learned to do as the masters of the body. It was possible for a trained Matukai to raise the temperature of their skin, raising it so that it could become so hot as to burn on opponent on touch. Tsu could do this. He wasn't great at it, per se, and had to use a lot more energy to do it than he should have, but it was something. He just hoped the heat that got through his sleeves would be enough to make Jarzec let go. He focused, drawing the Force into him, and felt a wave of relief as the drain started to take that instead of his own energy. He focused on his arm, and could feel it starting to warm up. The Force continued to pour into him, to the point where he felt as if he'd burst if he drew any more, and then he felt it: he reached the level he needed to be at. Suddenly, the Force was concentrated into his arm, and he felt the temperature of his skin jump up, and decided that regardless of if was enough or not, he had to take some action to stop Jarzec.
He got a renewed burst of vigor as the Force filled his body, and he jumped up, reaching to grab Jarzec by the throat and push him backwards toward a tree. Tsu stepped back as he broke free from Jarzec's grasp, reaching back to grab his sword from his back as he did. In one fluid motion, he both drew the blade and hurled it at Jarzec, in the manner one would hurl a throwing knife. If it hit, Jarzec would be in a world of pain, and if it didn't it'd bury itself into the tree. But he was in motion again as soon as it left his hand. Even if he didn't want to admit it out loud, Jarzec was a stronger opponent than Tsu had first thought him to be, and Tsu was reaching his limit, thanks to the damage done by Jarzec's lightning and drain. He'd have to finish the fight now, or Jarzec very well may be the one to kill him, and he had no intentions of dying this day.
He picked up the wan-shen from the ground and resumed his attack, sweeping low with the blade at Jarzec's feet and following up with a thrust with the counter weight to Jarzec's stomach. A slash at Jarzec's neck was followed by a sweeping kick at his feet, intended to knock the Dark Jedi to the ground. Tsu continued with a rain of kicks and blows from the blunt end of his wan-shen, before spinning it around to deliver a strike with the bladed end to Jarzec's side. If wouldn't be fatal if it hit, but it would be extraordinarily painful. But no, Tsu had something else in mind if the opportunity arose to kill Jarzec. He'd make sure the Dark Jedi went through more pain than he'd ever felt in his life.
