Syn could feel a dark power flow through her body the moment the Sith Temple came into view. It towered above her like a black, shimmering spike surrounded by rocky terrain. Within the temple she could feel the presence of powerful beings, a fact which pleased her greatly. Their powers felt overwhelming as she edged ever closer to the dark temple door that stood a couple feet taller than her. The female nautolan flicked her wrist, opening the door with the power of the force.
Inside were several beings cloaked in black, walking down hallways and into rooms and some even walked passed her heading outside the door she just opened. She could sense the dark side nesting itself within all of them, which was a satisfying feeling to her. Syn had never dreamed of such power, and here before her were Sith that commanded a strength well beyond her imagination. Here, she knew her future could only progress and make her stronger. This was the very reason why she had traveled to Korriban. She had learned everything she needed from her previous master, and now a pathway to greater knowledge and power was set before her, finally.
As she walked in, two particular Sith caught her attention. One was human and the other, more powerful one, was an Epicanthix. The human looked as young as she was, and the Epicanthix lucked a bit older. She could feel the power of the dark side streaming off both of them, an attraction she could not ignore. The powerful sensation she felt within her mind grew stronger as she walked up to them.
"You there," she pointed, "This is the Sith Temple is it not?" She asked, even though she already knew the answer. "I do hope your order is accepting new recruits."

"Well, it's really a simple thing," Visari said to the young man next to him. He was walking through the Sith Temple with Jarzec Taelstrom, the Initiate he had decided to take under his wing. Visari had grown to like Jarzec well enough, and the two were having a conversation on the subject of lightsaber construction--something Jarzec would have to do in the near future--as they strolled through the halls of the Temple. "Once you have the crystal, you meditate on it for quite some time, to imbue it with the essence of the Force. And, to bind it to yourself." Visari's slender metal cane that concealed his own lightsaber rang out softly as they roamed onward. The Epicanthix was dressed as he usually was, in his fine black coat that was slightly longer than knee length, with his vest and shirt underneath, along with his grey pants and black rancor leather boots. And he was feeling rather scholarly at the moment. "Once that part is done, the construction of the weapon itself is fairly straightforward. Oh, there are difficult parts, but you'll figure it out."
He was about to move on to the different components that would be needed when he noticed a presence he had not noticed before. True, he didn't know everyone in the Temple, but he recognized a new arrival when he felt one--they tended to stick out. He tensed imperceptibly; the memory of Raeg Vashin a day earlier was still fresh in everybody's mind, but he was the one that had had to confront the little freak, and he wasn't in the mood to greet more newcomers to the Temple. Even so, someone would have to see who it was. "Come," he said to Jarzec, "it seems we have a guest. Let's go see who fate has dropped at our door this day."
But it was here who spoke first to them. She apparently spotted them as the pair made their way over to where the presence was. And oh, her boldness! Visari lifted an eyebrow at her in response as he came to stand a few feet away from her, resting both hands on the head of his cane as he stopped. "Oh? This is the Sith Temple," he said, allowing the barest edge of annoyance to show in his voice; after the Vashin fiasco, he had little patience for arrogant newcomers who thought too highly of themselves. "But what makes you think yourself worthy?" He smiled at her, with a very slight, almost mocking smile. "And I do hope you can make better first impressions than some... others who have come seeking to join us as of late... For your own sake."

((I don't know what kind of response you're talking about, but I'll do my best lol. Are you saying I should make a disrespectful response or something? If the stuff Syn says below doesn't fit what you are wanting, let me know and I'll change it up.))
Syn smiled at the old man as he talked, understanding that he had come across some fool earlier who wished to join their ranks. Such a thing was not unbelievable, or unheard of. There were many weaklings and pitiful beings trying to pose themselves off as warriors worthy of admittance into the Sith Order.
There was something about the old man that puzzled Syn. To her, he looked frail and weak. White hair, gentle eyes, and a cane. This combination alone yelled "old man near death coming through," but there was something about him that backed all this up. His voice. The very sound of his voice and the words he spoke demanded obedience and respect, something that Syn was not familiar with. Her previous master had never taught her of such things. Her training in the force was all that mattered, not her manners. And so when the old one finished his sentence, Syn could see that he had his doubts about her. This of course would have to change. Syn could not have people doubting whether she was an acceptable candidate for the Sith teachings or not.
"I do not believe in first impressions," she said truthfully, "but I suppose a proper introduction is needed." Syn placed a green hand on her stomach and bowed low, her eyes trailing down to look at her feet and then rising back up to meet the old man's face as she stood back up. "Syn Vatoma, here to serve, sir."
Syn laughed inside her mind as she caught herself spitting out the word "sir." Showing respect and speaking respectfully was new and useless to her. Such talk was used to hide motives, feelings, and plots that some people might have for the person they were talking to. Kings, planets, and even armies had been betrayed by people who "spoke respectfully." Nevertheless, she was here for acceptance as a Sith, nothing more. If respect was what the Sith wanted before they would teach her more about the dark side, then they would have it.

{Don't worry about it. Do whatever you think Syn would. She could hardly be any worse than Raeg was XDDD Edit: Also, syndrias, just so you know what's going on, Cas wants Jarzec to have a little sparring match with Syn. If you're cool with it, I'll have Vis lead the two to a room where they can Get Dangerous in my next post.}
Visari allowed a smile to touch the corner of his mouth as the girl looked him over. So she's sizing me up, then is she? I hope she's wiser than some others who have thought they knew what I was capable of from a look. That had been the downfall of quite a few that thought to kill him over the years. Sixty-three years old he was, though for an Epicanthix, that wasn't even approaching old, as could be seen in his face, which looked closer to that of a human man in his thirties than in his sixties. He suspected his snow-white hair might have been the main contributor to lead people to think he was old and frail, though that was more a genetic issue than an age-related one; his hair had gone white years ago. As for the cane... well, a CEO couldn't be seen running around with a lightsaber, now could they? It fit his appearance, and so he went with it. But all who had underestimated him had learned that there was more to him that met the eye, and if this girl thought him old and decrepit, she'd learn the same soon enough. After all, he had no doubt that there was more to her than it seemed. She was small, almost a foot and a half shorter than he, and she didn't look to be too terribly strong or threatening her self. But now was not the time for that.
Visari chuckled slightly at the girl's words. "You don't believe in first impressions? Why, in my time, I've learned that first impressions can give away a great deal. But no, not everything about someone can be learned from a glance." He devilish grin touched his lips. "And sometimes it's those with the kind words that you should be most wary of. But I digress." Visari returned Syn's gesture, with a slight nod of his head. "I am Visari Netellus. And this," he said with a slight gesture to Jarzec, "is Jarzec Taelstrom." He looked her over one more time. From what he could tell, she was bold, and seemed to have a degree of confidence in herself. And if what he could feel within her was accurate, she had a very respectable amount of power to her. He liked that. But he'd keep his opinions to himself for the time being.
"So, Jarzec," he said, turning slightly to look at the young Initiate, "what say you about our newcomer?"

They had somehow gotten on the topic of Jarzec's lightsaber once more, and though he knew the basics on lightsaber construction, thanks to Rexmex, he still wished to know more. He and Visari had been discussing this after parting ways with those of the recent duel, when Visari pointed out that there was a new presence, and that they would investigate. Though he wasn't very interested in new arrivals, it was a chance to get to know others who believed in the Sith Order's cause. They made their way to the gates, to discover one of strong ability and rude manners.
After a brief exchange between the Nautolan and Visari, as well as an introduction of both Visari and Jarzec, to which Jarzec gave a flick of his hand in a waving gesture, he turned to Jarzec and asked:
So, Jarzec, what say you about our newcomer?
For Jarzec, this one only impressed him in her aura. Though small in stature, and not particulary scary or imposing, he couldn't see much that impressed him. The aura she carried was strange though. And as one who hunted and was half-corrupted for power, he could tell what it was. Just that: power. Destruction lay in this one's past, and though Jarzec wasn't one for sensing these things about people, he knew destruction and power when he smelled it. How much, however, was yet to be determined. He also knew that anyone could create destruction and exude power, it was how they applied it that would define them. This "Syn Vatoma" would need to define herself if he could form a valid opinion on her.
I see one with much potential, and a past steeped in power and destruction. How much and how it was caused cannot be determined. My opinion? Test her. See what she is capable of. Mr. Netellus, if you recall our previous discussion? -- He turned to Visari --About those with power? It is how those with power apply it that determines many things. That is the way I see it with this one. My answer, is as I said, a simple test.
He nodded his respects to Syn, he had just evaluated her, in front of her, it was a bit odd and awkward to him, which was why he nodded. This day just seemed to get increasingly... interesting.

((absolutely, a little sparing would be nice))
Syn's attention turned to Jarsec as he spoke. She had nearly forgot about the human due to focusing all her attention on Visari. Jarsec was very different from Visari, but also very similar. He was young and strong looking and obviously a talented warrior that deserved respect, which was the thing both him and Visari had in common. Although he was quite as powerful as the Epicanthix, she sensed his powers would pose a threat to her if they ever met in battle. But also, he would surely be a tremendous and most valuable ally if they ever fought alongside each other.
Her mind was pulled back to where it belonged when Jarsec's voice rang in her ears. "I see one with much potential, and a past steeped in power and destruction."
Syn smiled and bowed her head slightly, enjoying such a graciously given comment. Being as arrogant as she was, comments were always welcomed and pleasing to hear. But then, Jarsec's next words made her put her arrogance aside for a moment, and a serious and focus side of her slowly started to show.
"Test her." he said as Syn's eyes locked on his. These words were even more pleasing to her than the complement Jarsec had just given her. A test of her power would be perfect for her to make herself known among the Sith, and quite possibly worthy to call herself one. "See what she is capable of."
Syn Vatoma nodded back at Jarsec in full agreement, eager to succeed in the upcoming challenge that was being prepared before her. "I would be more than willing to accept such a test. But I am, however, curious. What sort of test do you have in mind?" She asked, growing a bit more serious and raising an eyebrow. Such things demanded her full attention, focus, and seriousness. She needed to be in the right state of mind if she was to pass whatever "test" these two had in store for her.

A smile touched Visari's face as Jarzec made his own evaluation of Jarzec. The smile touched his eyes, and the emeralds that were set in his face sparkled with mirth as the young man spoke. Good, already he knows hows how to read in to what he perceives of others through the Force, and to make sound evaluations of them off of that. Visari's gaze returned to Syn, measured and unwavering. Jarzec's conclusion had been much the same as his own, and the proposal of a test was certainly... interesting. And Syn accepted! Ah, this would be so much simpler than dealing with Raeg had been! And on top of that he sensed what could only be eagerness within her. "Very well then, if it is a test you want, then you shall have one. Come with me." With that, he turned to make his way down the halls of the Temple. Of course, from what he could tell, Syn would make a fine addition to the Order; generally, if someone came and didn't make an ass of themselves (along with having the perquisite dark-side thing going on), they were accepted in. Even Raeg had been allowed in to the Order, after all the trouble he'd caused. I guess we can't be picky with as young as the Order is, Visari thought, with a touch of irritation. He wasn't fond of Raeg, and that was fairly common knowledge by know, but that was neither here nor there. But Jarzec's idea was a good one, and would suit Visari's own ends. Though he like Jarzec well enough, he'd not yet seen any display of his prowess, and a bit of sparring with Syn could be the perfect opportunity for that. And if Syn managed to impress him... well, he might take two under his wing, rather than just one. After some time leading the pair through the halls, he came to one of the training rooms. He stepped through the door, and was pleased to find that it was empty. It was moderately sized, and the floor and walls were of simple stone. That would suit their needs perfectly. "So then," he said grandly, turning to face the two younger Sith. "If it is a test you want, then a test you shall have." He nodded at each of them. "I think a simple sparring session would be a good way to go about things, don't you? The rules will be fairly open: don't try to maim each other too much and do try to avoid killing each other." The Epicanthix smiled wryly. "Our Order is young, and we need as many living recruits as possible. Other than that, feel free to do as you wish. Lightsabers, Force powers, use whatever you wish. Just keep my words in mind." Visari looked to each of them once more. "You may begin when ready." Visari leaned back against the wall behind him in a relaxed pose as he waited for the two to get to business. But even though he may have looked at ease, he was alert, and ready to launch out to stop the two if the need arose. The heavy signet ring on his right hand rang softly as he tapped his finger against the head of his cane. Whatever happened, this should prove to be interesting if nothing else. {Alright, this'll be my last post for a while so you two can go at it. I'll post again when I think it's necessary. Have fun! }

Very well then, if it is a test you want, then you shall have one. Come with me.
Jarzec was most pleased with how his assessment had turned out. It seemed this wiser man would be heeding his advice and testing this newcomer. He followed as he directed them through the Temple, winding and turning through various hallways. They stopped at an empty training room. Curious, Jarzec listened with interest to Visari's next few words.
I think a simple sparring session would be a good way to go about things, don't you? The rules will be fairly open: don't try to maim each other too much and do try to avoid killing each other.
Jarzec's jaw almost dropped. Well, not literally, but he would have if such were in his repertoire of gestures. So Visari wished to test his ability as well. He had no problems with such. He would take to this challenge jovially. He listened as the rules were described and explained, he could easily abide by them. He had no fear of Syn, no worries whatsoever. She would prove a formidable opponent, but by no means was he worried. In the end, he believed he would prove victorious. As soon as Visari spoke the word "ready" Jarzec ignited his lightsaber. The midnight blue blade spouted, ready for blood. It's hunger would not be sated with this battle, but he could at least tantilize it.
With that, Jarzec leapt at Syn, who stood opposite him, he was sure she would respond in time to his attack, if not, hopefully he could stop the blade coming down upon her at a vertical angle.

((Ok Cas, let me know if I do something wrong in this battle thingy ok?))
Syn's mind began to wander as the three of them walked down a series of hallways. What would the test consist of? What exactly was Visari going to test? Her skill with a lightsaber? Her ability to command the force? Perhaps someone needed killing and her test would be to destroy whoever it was. Whatever the test would be, Syn decided she would dedicate herself to passing it no matter what she had to do.
"If it is a test you want, then a test you shall have." Visari spoke and nodded at each of them. "I think a simple sparring session would be a good way to go about things, don't you?"
Syn froze as Visari finished that particular sentence, and noticed he had stepped back a bit from Jarsec and herself. The duel would be between her and the younger Sith! Though at first it seemed like the test was meant to observe Syn's skills, she could not help but realize that Visari was planning to discover some of Jarsec's abilities as well. They were both being tested, obviously for the benefit of Visari. What those benefits were, Syn was quite unaware of, but it didn't matter. She had already accepted the test, and this little surprise didn't change anything. She would succeed!
Syn prepared herself mentally as Visari laid down the guidelines, all of which Syn had already went over in her head. She had no intentions of harming her new acquaintance and would be extremely troubled and disappointed in herself if such a thing ever happened to him due to her actions. She had always been heartless and wasn't about to change that now, but killing a potential ally was not in her best interests at the moment.
Visari finished his warnings to the both of them and stepped back, leaning against the wall as if watching a show or some sort of entertainment. Syn flinched as Jarsec's lightsaber blasted to life. She had seen his attack coming through the force a split second before he actually moved, predicting his actions, but even with this small warning she almost didn't have the time to turn on her saber and block the attack! She flinched a second time as their blades connected, a blue blade of light against a bright red. This blow was quicker and more powerful than she had expected, and nearly caused her saber to escape her hands and go flying across the room. Her little fingers gripped tighter around her saber's hilt, lucky that it didn't fly out of her hands just then.
This was it. Her moment to prove her worth, and she would seize it bravely just as if she was one of the great Sith Lords herself! Thinking she needed to experiment a little more with Jarsec's fighting style, she pushed his blade off of hers and fell straight into the Makashi form style, swinging her blade not to kill or even to harm him, but to see Jarsec's reactions. She needed to know how well his defenses were before she tried to actually do anything drastic, like disarm him.

{ Ok, but I'm sure you'll do fine } As soon as he was upon her, Syn had her bright red blade out and ready in response, and not a moment too soon. He felt her struggle, both in blade and in the Force, as his blade connected with hers. She was not strong, and from the Makashi stance she now took, he could tell she wasn't well versed in technique either. He would have to expoit this, but not before he measured her handling in the Force. He blocked each of her attacks in turn, his Shien a strong defensive form, ready to make counter-attacks, which he found in the form of an attack with the Force. As he repelled an attack, he took a quick step back and sucked in a large breath. He pulled the Force close to him, drawing it up and pushing what anger he had into it. With a mighty ripping roar, he launched a mediocre blast of Force Scream at his opponent, waves of telekinetic Force energy charged towards her like a raging bull, ready to do whatever damage they could to their victim. Time to see what you can do, girl.

Jarzec's defenses were superb in strength and in technique, clearly overwhelming her own lightsaber skills. If she continued fighting blade to blade, she knew this match wouldn't last long. He had blocked her attacks with such ease that it made her look like she was a little child with a toy sword fighting a war hero with a mighty and powerful weapon. She felt fear grip her as Jarzec's last defensive move disarmed her of her lightsaber! Her physical strength was just not enough against him. She nearly started to panic as she watched her only defense flying through the air.
Suddenly, something happened that Syn failed to predict. She watched as Jarzec took in a large breath of air and she could feel something within him growing. First it felt very weak to her. Then suddenly, just as he finished breathing in, the amount of power within him shot up like a bullet, growing in strength! She could feel his emotions exploding with power as he used a force skill that Syn had never seen before. The Force Scream. The moment the scream left Jarzec's lungs, Syn's hair stood on end and a shiver ran down her spine. She could see waves of energy flowing towards her like a thousand arrows flying at incredible speeds through the air.
The force was so wide and strong that there was no way she could evade it simply by jumping out of the way. How to stop it? How to repel it? These questions rang inside her mind as the blast came for her, roaring like a lion. She didn't have time to think, and since she had never seen Force Scream before, she didn't even know what to do. Perhaps I could push it another direction with a force push! She thought as hope started to build inside of her. She put her right leg behind her for support as she reared her right arm back, a blue wave of energy forming around her wrists, trying to charge it up as much as she could. But there was very little time for it. Once the wave of dark energy was in range, Syn unleashed a powerful force push, hoping it would cause the scream to bounce off and possibly even smash into Jarzec. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. The scream was too strong, and Syn wasn't able to charge her counterattack long enough. As the Force Scream and Force Push collided, just inches in front of Syn, it did elude somewhat of the screams terrible force, but that wasn't enough to stop such an attack.
Breaking through the force push, the scream smashed into Syn, throwing her across the room and colliding against the far wall. Her ears rang as she pulled herself up off of the floor. Her right arm felt like it was broke, but she was able to move it freely. Just badly damaged. she thought. What power! Jarzec was obviously skilled in both the saber and the force, Syn knew that now. But she had encountered worse force damage from her master, Dagon, and right away she knew she had the strength to end this. She couldn't rely on her lightsaber, Jarzec bested her in everything that revolved around that certain skill. Her force power was the only thing that would turn the tables around.
Opening both her hands, her palms facing Jarzec, she focused on her target. She drug out the deepest emotions that sat inside of her, and used it as fuel for her upcoming force attack, like wood feeding a fire. Sparks of electricity suddenly wrapped around her wrists and the tips of her finger nails. She smiled at Jarzec as the bolts of electricity now swirled around her body, growing. If Jarzec can't find a way around this, I might have to stop the attack early. Syn thought, keeping Visari's rules in mind. Suddenly, she surged forward, pushing her hands in front of her and unleashing a powerful Force Lightening attack. A scream broke through her lips as lightening coursed through the air towards Jarzec, the force of the blast and her emotions nearly over whelming her.

Jarzec was stunned to find that his repelling of Syn's attack had left her disarmed, and decided that this would be easier than he though. When he unleashed his scream, he was also pleased to find Syn's uncertainty in a response to such an attack. A smile touched his face as Syn struggled in the half-second she had to respond, which she did by attempting to push the attack back with the Force. It was to no avail. It wasn't a particularly strong scream, but it came at such a surprising time, there was little time to react. The resulting attack knocked Syn into the wall, hitting her arm and leaving her slightly dazed. Jarzec tightened his grip on his lightsaber, ready to end this fast with a blade to rest inches from the neck of his opponent, a sign of victory over this match. He had no such chance, however, as Syn rose to her feet.
Suddenly, the room was filled with heavy emotion, thick like fog as it came down hard on Jarzec's senses, he could feel it pulsating around this woman, electricity began to cackle and crawl up and down her body. The Force drawing itself deeper and deeper into her. With it came the powerful and rare technique of Force Lightning. Such powerful tendrils of the attack launched themselves at Jarzec. He was wary of this power though, torturous sessions with his previous Master had taught him how to deal with the electrifying pain well, but even so, it would still hurt like hell. He responded how he had been trained by Rexmex, throwing up his lightsaber to the attack and attempting to defend against it pushing the Force into his blade and arms, hoping against hope that he could hold it off long enough. He couldn't.
A few tendrils broke free, grasping and groping at his arm, leaving it numb just long enough for his guard to be dropped ever so slightly. The bolt came in a wave, but how it hit him, it sent him spinning, electricity wrapping itself around him in excruciating pain that traveled up and down his nerves like fire. He made no noise, it had become reflex not to, but instead rose to his feet in time to avoid the rest, backing away from the reach of the attack. It was in this moment he made a critical evaluation: she was increadibly strong with the Force.
Instead of anger or rage, rather, Jarzec hungered. He hungered to learn how to create such a devastating Force lightning, how to manifest such raw power into an attack he already knew. He wanted to learn what other dark and destructive powers lay in the mind of the Dark Jedi before him. He wanted those powers, he wanted to learn them and their secrets. Now was not the time, however.
He knew now that the only way to win was to rush in upon this woman and force her down, blade to her neck until she threw the white flag. With a thrust of telekinetic energy, followed by a burst of his own Force Lightning, Jarzec pushed as much of the force into his body as possible to increase what he could in his legs, rushing and charging Syn down, blade raised high above his head. Hopefully she would be able to respond without her lightsaber, otherwise, this would be a quick end indeed.

Syn's breath escaped her once her attack was finished. Such a blow drained alot of energy, but she soon steadied her breathing and regained small amounts of energy. She was very pleased to see her lightening had been executed so successfully, but was disappointed when Jarzec rose back up to his feet. She was impressed to see him perform one of his own Force Lightening strikes, and then noticed he was charging right at her. She had to move! And move fast! First, she had to avoid the lightening. She was at a good enough distance to see the attack coming so she had enough time to think. She darted to the side, landing on her stomach trying to jump out of the way. She felt a few bolts strike her back as it rushed past her, but other than that she managed to keep herself from being fried.
Now, laying on her side recovering for her jump, she was open for an attack and Jarzec was nearly on her. She needed to slow him down. While she was still laying on the ground, she launched several force push attacks. With these certain attacks, she used small amounts of energy, intending only to slow him down so she could rise up to her feet and possibly even force pull her lightsaber back into her hands.

Narrowly avoiding Jarzec's thrust of lightning, Syn had leapt out of the way just in time, the lightning fizzlling over her back. He now lay on her side, after recovering from her attack, and Jarzec made a quick sliding pivot on his right foot, tilting his blow and redirecting himself at Syn. The whole scene was actually somewhat comical, as he kept his blade high throughout the endeavor, making it out to seem as if he were a dancer, hands raised, on some sort of stage, twirling and moving about. He brushed such thoughts aside, however, as he allowed his passion to control him, and lunge for his now defenceless opponent.
He was stopped short, however, by a flurry of Force pushes, small as they may be, were slowing down his long-strided charge. He continued to push towards her, his rage flowing into the Force, urging him onward. He knew this wasn't serious, but he was going to put a strong effort into this, such an effort to make it feel as if it were a matter of life and death. He was edging closer and closer, soon he would be within striking range and it would all be over.

The nautolan was glad to see that her plan had worked, Jarzec had slowed down. But she still wasn't sure if it was enough. The human was determined to win and wasn't about to let a few force pushes stop him. With what little time she had bought, she stood up on her feet and locked her eyes on her saber.
She held up a hand, commanding force pull to retrieve the lightsaber. Now it was a race between the weapon and Jarzec, and right now the human had a head start. Due to evading the lightening, Syn was too exhausted to move out of the way of Jarzec's charge, and so this was her last chance. But as she watched her opponent and her lightsaber coming towards her, she calculated that Jarzec would reach her before her saber would. With no other options, or ideas, Syn charged towards her enemy and jumped into the air. Her intention was to jump over Jarzec and land behind him while grabbing her saber. A difficult feat, but it could be done...unless Jarzec was quick and could read her movements. If he stopped her now, she most likely would lose the match.

Time seemed to move increadibly slowly, Jarzec moved ever so slowly, his blade coming closer and closer to its mark. He could feel as Syn let up on the Force push and turned her attention to her lightsaber, attempting to draw it over to herself. She had no time to though. She made a darring move though, just as Jarzec was upon her. She leapt into the air, dodging his blade, and flying over his head, he had to make a split second decision, as out of the corner of his eye, he saw the silver hilt of a lightsaber floating rapidly towards Syn.
Time reverted back to normal; time, of which there was precisous little to respond to. In a quick, split-second decision, Jarzec wheeled around and threw a hand towards the Dark Jedi who had leapt behind him. A heavy force push sought out whatever it could hit. Hopefully it would be enough to repel whatever attack Syn had planned for him. Hopefully.

Syn's jump reached over one of Jarzec's blows as she soared through the air, now reaching for her saber. She reached the height of her jump and smiled as her fingers felt the metal hit reach them. Suddenly, Jarzec whirled around as quick as lightening, sending a force push her way. Syn tried her best to grab the saber and wrap her hands around it just before the attack hit her. It wasn't that bad of a hit, but Jarzec did manage to make her crash on the ground to her knees. Once she touched ground, the first thing she checked was whether or not she was able to hold onto her saber! She looked down and found it safely in her right hand. Fate was giving her a second chance!
Syn stood now, planning to change tactics. She still had energy to spare, even after the several force attacks she had been using. But she didn't want to risk draining herself of all her energy and giving Jarzec the chance to end the duel with his saber. She knew now what to do, what her first mistake had been at the very beginning of the duel. The Makashi form. It was a great form to use, but her sloppiness had cost her the lightsaber. She would not make that mistake again, especially since she saw this as a second chance to redeem herself of her losing the weapon in the first place.
"Well, that was a good practice run," Syn teased, trying to shoot down Jarzec's confidence and make it look like she had an ace up her sleeve. She didn't. But it had been some what like a bit of a practice run for her. Yes she was fighting Jarzec close to the peak of her abilities and not once held back any of her skills, but from the very beginning she had been unsure of how to approach him. Now she had a bit more understanding of her enemy's strength.
Jarzec had been the attacker mostly this entire duel, and Syn thought it was time to change that. Her blade shot back on as she prepared her Shii-cho style. She was much more experienced in the basics than the advanced Makashi form, and hoped it would prove to be a bit more challenging for Jarzec to handle. She leaped forward, preparing a few strikes towards Jarzec's upper torso and head, and then finishing off her quick attack with a wide horizontal swing aimed at Jarzec's shoulder. Sure he might be able to block her attacks, but if she pressed her offensive attacks hard enough, she might find a weakness.

By some miracle, Syn had managed to land on her knees, still able to move, but at least Jarzec had avoided her attack, as she stood she reverted to the basic Shii-Cho, and said:
Well, that was a good practice run.
Jarzec couldn't help but wonder at her remark. It in no way affected how he approached the situation, but he was wary. He had seen nothing yet that would prove this to be anything more than practice for him much less this Dark Jedi woman. Before he could conclude his assessment, however, Syn sprang into action, coming upon him with her weak form of Shii-cho. It wasn't even a master version of the form, which Jarzec himself had learned, but rather, just lacking. He found that his ability in Shien would be able to handle it, though he a better grasp on the deflection of laser fire than lightsabers.
Her first attack consisted of a few strikes towards Jarzec's upper torso and head, which broke off into a sudden and swift attack aimed wide and horizontal at Jarzec's shoulder. To which he parried and sidestepped, looking for the one counterattack he could perform. The fact that she was fighting by way of lightsaber worried him slightly, as he did not wish to kill her, but if he were to respond there would be no other way. Perhaps he should wait until the right time for a counter-attack, as was the way of Shien, and then force her into submission by way of Force Drain or Lightning, regarless, he would now bide his time until such a chance arose, her attacks hardly phasing him, but keeping him ever on his feet.
Well, that makes two of us, as the feeling is mutual
Jarzec replied to her earlier comment a bit late, hopefully ruffling her feathers. He knew how to talk an adversary down, to whittle away at them, and convince them. Though they weren't gentle, his years of dark crime had taught him well...
