hehe Cirith said it right ^^ Here is a something that really shows what Tano is all about www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGTuZexHYFU&NR=1She is an exceptional character for sure, but no char ever annoyed me, there's a reason for everthing, right? Let me point out something, just look at her, she looks like a clown, she acts like one (sometimes). We shouldn't take her too serious and try to figure out whether she fits into the starwars environment or otherwise. Like Jar Jar, she is just a bright spot on the usual story to make it more colorful. Yeah, that makes it childish I know and you are right when you say most of the fans are older, but perhaps that exactly what LucasArts wants: a new generation of fans. Maybe they want to make these kids get to know starwars. A "recruiting" if you like this way (but I dislike that word). Good for business and it keeps starwars alive. So, I really don't have anything against Ashoka, she just possess everything that she need to make her more exciting. Ohh and as one of the main chars in a KID program, her death is really unlikely.

It's very hard for me to pick a vote on this one. Honestly, it was only a matter of time before a character like this showed up and I actually enjoy Ashoka. She's quirky and generally a child. Anyone at that young of an age is over optimistic (Especially when a Jedi) Obi wan was older with Qui-gon and he had his moments of cracking jokes during serious moments and being a bit of a show off. Jedi arn't instantly mature and serious, they DO start out as children and slowly mature along with their abilities and overall sight of how things are.
More or less Ashoka does have an important but un-foreseen part in store for her. I honestly think she's going to die, before the order of 66 however. I think her death will push Anakin even further away from the path of the Jedi and in turn make him feel like he IS really being held back, because he won't be able to save her. Or something to that extent!
Honestly, people should expect her to act like an ignorant bull and not heed the ways of the Jedi, especially when being trained by Anakin Skywalker, she's gaining traits of her master, which is of course looked down by the council, but at a child of her age, she looks up to her mentor and of course is going to dictate her logic, using his course of thinking.
So she's going to be head-strong and at many times over whelming in company, just as Anakin was for Obi-wan, she's a pain in the rear-end. With that being said, I think her character fits perfectly into the Star Wars universe, granted they should turn down the force powers, but with every new release the make the force more and more extreme. I mean it went from Vader tossing some metal frames to ripping down and hovering on a heavy metal flat to glide above lava, then a guy could rip down ships with the force. So, honestly, it shouldn't be unexpected she's powerful, it's hard to stick to canon and produce a childrens show. Especially when Star wars is heavily based around seperatists and twisted politicians who basically are racist against other alien species, sometimes you gotta lighten the tone for the kids!
Still, I thought the original clone wars cartoon was better. It made the war seem more like a war, not a Jedi run-around freak show. But, I do love my militia in the Star Wars sagas.
Yay for the Republic Commandos.
Anyway, I really like Ashoka's character, as I feel she has an importance, maybe not to the universe, but to Anakin. I don't like the show though, it's too over the top and they should focus more on the Clones and Politics instead of always wanting to show how shiny a polished saber is. But that's just my opinion!
