Practice Duels Rules/Challenges Thread

Against my best judgment (and because I am gradually catching up on things)... I thought I would toss all six of my active/accepted characters in here. I'm sure they could all use some form of brushing up on various dueling skills (obviously since one or two aren't really traditional fighters).

Traditional:
- So I have my Jedi, so that would be lightsaber and/or Force. - challenged by Silas/Silas
- My Sith, same, but she's weaker in lightsaber combat, stronger in telekinetic/Force techniques. - challenged Alindra/nightender
- My Mandalorian, she's a sniper but also skilled in unarmed combat.
- Ean the bounty hunter... that would be unarmed/hand-to-hand as well, since he knows about a half dozen or so different forms of martial arts.

-- I'd be hoping to keep my non-Force users to only fight other non-users.
Same with the Force-users, unless you have someone who could still put up a balanced fight.

And the odd ones:
- Pak is a former Rep. fighter pilot, and although he is a fair shot with a pistol, he has no other skills 'cept flying, so it could be interesting to do a dogfight-type of duel.. if there is anyone up for that.
- And my slicer... this would be the hardest one, since Trevil has, like... no real skills 'cept a little training in ranged weapons. He's basically just a hardcore hacker. So maybe a duel of slicing. Or wits.


Anyway... I'm offering them up them all; take it or leave it.

All right.. Silas has challenged my jedi Xierra to a duel with his Sith Silas.

Number of rounds is up to him, maybe five or six?

Anyway, we have a small request that it be in a place where there is no Force, so that they have to fight entirely without the Force. We thought it would be more interesting that way (and perhaps a little more fair to Xierra ). Whether it's a special room with ysalamiri or whatever, doesn't matter, as long as the Force doesn't exist there.

So yeah... Sith Initiate Silas Isao challenges Jedi Knight Xierra Zalq.

I haven't had a chance to RP with Looma yet, Mara, though I know that will change pretty soon. Not sure exactly how it might play out, but I'd like to give it a shot. Besides, if there's a difference in skill we could always introduce dirty tricks since Sith don't really have to fight fair.

Let's just settle number of rounds and get someone to mod it.



And.... Silas and I still need a mod for our duel.

If you both agree, I believe Max vested in me the power to moderate duels. It does seem pretty roleplay-mentor-y to me, anyway. :3
