Born in the small settlement of Sal’kassa, Luxa Magna was born. Her name then being Lux’Magana, her parents were known as Masculi’Magana and Flor’Magana. She was an only child, and her life was set to be like that of a Twi’lek farm girl. However, although the settlement of Sal’kaasa was small, it did have a space port, meaning foreigners did occasionally arrive. With the demand of slaves increasing at an active rate, Ryloth suffered severe losses to various traders that took the Twi’leks into service. When the bid cities became depleted, traders traveled to the small cities, and eventually to the small settlements. Because of the space port, Sal’kaasa was one of the first settlements to be invaded by traders. Luxa was only two when the traders invaded her city. Her mother went to town to buy supplies, and never returned. Masculi’Magna assumed she had been taken. Luxa was heart-broken at the time, but luckily never developed a serious attachment to her mother and was able to move on with life.
A year later, Luxa was three. The slave trade had grown increasingly aggressive and Luxa’s father grew very worried he would lose his only child. Although she was only three, the traders would take her and train her as a slave, and then sell her at a higher profit when she came of age. In response, Luxa and her dad took what money they had and bought tickets to Nar Shadda. Luxa’s father changed their names to Luxa Magna and Masculia Magna. With little income, the family starved in the refugee sector, along with the many other families that had run away from their homes.
Luxa’s dad noticed two strange humans that walked through the sector. He recognized their robes and weapons as that of Jedi, but never expected to find them in the pig sty of the refugee sector. But indeed it was two Jedi, Master Tui La and her young Padawan El Varis. El seemed extremely attracted to young Luxa, and sensed the force but was mislead by his master to think nothing of it and continue their mission. But the thought didn’t leave El’s mind and that night he kidnapped the young, sleeping girl and returned to the sector he was staying at. Tui was extremely upset, but El insisted on testing the girl for midi-chlorian, which he eventually did and found its presence fairly high in the girl. He convinced Tui to bring the girl back to Coruscant with them. Tui agreed, but insisted on explaining the situation to Luxa’s father.
As Luxa, Tui and El returned, they found that Masculia Magna had stabbed himself with some glass, seeing that he had lost his daughter. He was dead and lay empty-pocketed on the floor. With this fresh in their minds, the trio returned to Coruscant with Luxa, who was now 4.
YOUNGLING
Luxa was set in front of the Jedi High Council with Tui at her side, and easily passed through the Council’s few tests to ensure the force was present in her. She grew fond of the classes she took, and learned to use powers in new ways. Although not a prodigy, she was happy to work hard and learned very fast. She seemed to be one of the most powerful in her class and was sometimes observed by some of the greatest Jedi in the Order.
El constantly met with Luxa and calmed her when she grew upset. He connected with her in a special way, and Luxa enjoyed the time they spent. When Luxa was ten, El brought the subject of her father into a conversation. Luxa knew little about the subject and could barely describe the figure of her father. She explained that he was caring and wanted the best, but was unsure what the best really was. El received an even more vague answer when he asked about Luxa’s mother. She could not even recall the color of her skin. None the less, Luxa was fine with knowing little about her family as she knew that the Order frowned upon deep emotional bonds. However, she was oblivious to the fact that the bond between her and El was rapidly growing.
PADAWAN
At the age of thirteen, Luxa completed her youngling training and was now allowed to be chosen as a Padawan by a Jedi Knight or Master. El was the first to request the position, but when he brought the case to the council, the head member told him this, “We fear that the bond you share has grown too powerful. We believe you should not become this girl’s master, as you will only lead her to the dark side.” El was infuriated, but sure not to show his emotions in front of the Council. He stormed away from the meeting, with his anger growing.
Meanwhile, the Council decided that Luxa had great potential, and she be taught by a well experienced Master. They selected a Nautolan known as Gai Krispus. He was at the age of 63 and served as the Jedi Watchman of Mon Calamari. He humbly accepted the position, and gave up his duties as Watchman to train Luxa.
Gai believed that often knowledge served as a battle tool, and anny Jedi should be well-studied before joining the battlefield. With this in mind, Luxa’s first 4 years as a Padawan were spent around the temple, mainly in archives, as she studied with Gai. She respected he Master’s teachings, and listened to his lectures. It wasn’t too long befoe Luxa was 17. Gai determined her knowledge had greatly expanded and vowed to take Luxa on his next mission.
A few weeks later the Council informed Gai that the planet Mon Calamari was in need of assistance. An unknown force had set up a blockade and was not allowing vital supplies to land. Gai immediately responded to the mission and took Luxa along. The two Jedi were forced to jump 40 feet to the ground, and landed safely at the end of the blockade. Safe from eye sight, Luxa reached for her lightsaber had Gai shook his head. “Why use violence when another solution is present?” he exclaimed. “Observe young Padawan!” And with that he jumped into the center of the blockade. The men were startled and they grabbed for their blasters. Gai jumped over them so that his back was turned to the base the men had set up. With bullets and grenades being shot rapidly at him, Gai used his force abilities to jump, sprint and push his way to safety. Luxa observed curiously, thinking this was going nowhere. When he was cornered the men shouted, “Halt old man! We’ve got you surrounded, there is no chance you will claim victory!”
His reply was, “Alas! My side has already claimed victory without one single bullet being shot!” Then, he pointed, as all the men turned around to see that their careless shooting had completely destroyed the base they had set up. With no shelter or supplies, the men retreated and Luxa returned to Gai’s side. “Remember Luxa, always see to it that all possible solutions are tired!”
A few days later, Luxa and Gai returned to the temple. Luxa couldn’t sleep as she had felt nightmares. In her dreams she saw her Master at Mon Calamari, performing the same stunt. Except this time, a grenade went unnoticed and he was blown to bits. She awoke in terror and rushed to her Master’s bed room to be sure of his safety. Sadly, Gai Krispus lay dead on his bed. Luxa ran out in terror. She saw the Head Council Member and lead him to Gai’s quarters. The Head Council Member told Luxa to go back to her quarters and get some sleep. However, Luxa did not sleep at all that night, as she could not imagine life without Master Krispus.
The next day Gai Krispus’ funeral was held and Luxa attended. But, thinking of the Order, she said her final goodbyes and thought nothing of her past Master, completely ending the special bond they had.
After the service, she was approached by a woman. She was known as Master Von Bauckman, and explained she would be taking over Luxa’s teachings. Luxa explained she understood, and was then excused to her quarters. One week later, training with her knew Master began.
Von Bauckman was a well-respected Jedi Guardian who was 50 years old. Unlike Master Krispus, who taught Luxa great strategy, Von was interested in perfecting Luxa’s skills with a saber. Every day a dawn and dusk Luxa and Von would duel. This continued for two years and Luxa grew use to life at the temple. During this time Luxa’s strength immensely increased, as well as her skill with the saber. Combining the teachings of Gai and Von, Luxa had the ability to practically defeat any minor enemy in one-on-one combat. She even was able to defeat Von in dueling a few times.
But life in the temple didn’t last long, as Von was asked to go to Naboo and located a terrorist that was threatening to kill the queen. Von and Luxa immediately responded and left for Naboo. When they arrived, they were guided to the Queen’s palace. Von got right to business and was lead by one of the Queen’s generals to suspected locations of the terrorist. Meanwhile, Luxa was instructed to guard the Queen. Luxa respected the task, and took it seriously as her Master set off.
It was midday when a messenger came to the Queen’s quarters. “The terrorist is interested in coming to the palace now. He says that money will get him to take back his threats.”
“We must call back Master Bauckman. She will know what to do.” said the Queen.
“No! The terrorist knows the face of Master Baukman, and won’t come if she is around. However, he doesn’t know who I am. We must take this opportunity to defeat him!” exclaimed Luxa.
“Are you sure?” replied the Queen,
“Yes! Tell him to come now. We will be waiting.” Luxa told the messenger. With that, the messenger left and Luxa devised a plan. For safety precautions, the Queen would use a decoy to great the Terrorist in the parlor. Meanwhile, the actual Queen will act as a handmaiden. Luxa and would fit in as a slave that would bring drinks for the Queen and “Visitor”. If things got bad, she would interfere.
And so, the Terrorist arrived, suspecting nothing, and approached the parlor. It seems he was not seeking negotiation as he blasted out and said, “Let’s get things straightened out. Well all know that you are just a decoy and the Queen is one of those witches over there.” Then, the Terrorist reached out and grabbed a poor innocent handmaiden, and held a blaster to the head, demanding money. Luxa, rushed in, and remembering what Master Krispus had taught her, quickly attempted to think of a non-violent solution. Seeing that Luxa wasn’t acting, the Queen was nervous she would be at fault for the death of her handmaiden. So, she stepped out and revealed herself to the Terrorist. The Terrorist grinned as he redirected his blaster point to the face of the Queen. Luxa saw no other way, and drew her blue Padawan saber. Using force sprint, she cut down the blaster and forced the Terrorist to the ground. The Terrorist was bound and thrown into prison, later to be interrogated by the government of Naboo.
Von returned and was proud to hear the story of her courageous Padawan. When they returned, Von received much praise, but explained that Luxa was the brains behind this victory. The pair gained much status within the temple, and eventually another mission was given to them.
This time Luxa and Von were sent to Nar Shadda. Luxa was now 21 years old. She remembered nothing of life on Nar Shadda, but strangely knew her way around the planet, proving herself as a successful guide. Their mission was to hunt down a powerful business man, who was under arrest organizing robberies and murders. He went by the name Zark and was a Muun. Von’s plan was to stake out a well-known robbery spot, wait for a robbery to occur, and then chase down the robber.
And so they spent 4 hours waiting, when a blue Twi’lek dressed in a black gown and wearing a black entered. She walked to the counter, whispered something to the clerk, and was then handed a bag. When she exited the clerk signaled the Jedi to follow the mysterious figure. Von and Luxa rushed out of the store and followed from a safe distance.
They were lead to a more deserted part of the city, when the Twi’lek seemed to notice them. Von was suspicious, but when the Twi’lek didn’t react in a major way she decided it was nothing. Eventually they were lead to a dead end. The Twi’lek turned, this time she had a black blaster to match her black attire and shot carelessly at the two Jedi. With Luxa and Von distracted, she dashed away. Luxa noticed that Von didn’t rush after her. She had fallen. Then it occurred to Luxa, Von had been shot. But before she had time to tend to the wound Von shouted, “Follow her!” And Luxa rushed in the direction the woman had ran.
Luxa followed the woman until she stopped near a deserted building. Luxa attempted to hide amongst the shadows but the woman said, “Show yourself, girl!” Luxa stepped out, and looked the woman in the eyes. She felt an immediate connection and the woman dropped her blaster and shouted, “Lux’Magna!” She rushed to Luxa, who immediately pushed her away, and drew her saber. Terrified, the woman shrieked and said, “You would not harm your mother?” At this point Von had caught up with the two other girls, and began to observe from afar. Hearing this, Luxa lowered her saber, and Von began to see Luxa’s emotions get the best of her. Von felt discouraged, but was happy to see that Luxa, although lowering her saber, did not allow the woman to escape. Von then thought to test Luxa’s true skills. “Luxa, I sense that this woman is your true mother” Von said. Luxa eyes began to tremble, and she felt weak, as if she was about to die, but she did not let up. She followed through with the arrest, greatly impressing Von.
After the arrest the two Jedi continued to face the Dark Jedi, who, as suspected, was in the building the woman had stopped in front of. The Dark Jedi did not try to hide, and immediately began his attack on the two Jedi. He focused his energy on Von, seeing that Luxa was less experienced. Although a Jedi Master, Von was aged and grew tired. The Dark Jedi cut off one of her hands, and she fell in pain. Approaching the wounded Jedi to finish her off, Luxa realized that her Master was in trouble. She courageously used the force to pull the Dark Jedi towards her, and began combat. She did not last long against the experienced enemy, and had to be saved by Von who had recovered enough energy to re-join the battle. But Von too needed rest, and her lightsaber was destroyed by the Dark Jedi. As he raised his saber to finish Von Luxa cut off both of his fore-arms. As the massive enemy shrieked in pain, Luxa pierced right through his torso, instantly killing him.
A impressed Von said that it was time for them to return to Coruscant.
JEDI KNIGHT
Luxa believed Von, but noticed she was traveling in the opposite direction. Curious, she asked Von what was going on. Von kept quiet, but Luxa remained calm, and simply walked to the back of the ship to meditate. Von called her up several hours later when the ship had landed. They were on the snow-covered planet of Ilum.
“Why are we here?” asked Luxa.
“You will find out soon enough” said Von. The pair walked through blizzard after blizzard until they arrived at a cave. Entering the cave, Luxa felt a great presence in the force. She also noticed several colored crystals. “Luxa Magna, there is one last mission you face, the creation of your lightsaber.” Luxa sat down, closed her eyes, and looked through her inner-self. Von revealed several parts she had brought, and set them around Luxa. Various parts began to rise and fit together, and finally it was time for Luxa to pick a color. A yellow crystal rose and fell in her saber, as Luxa rose and felt her lightsaber for the first time. It felt perfect to her. However, Von looked confused. “What is wrong, Von?” asked Luxa.
“Well, it seems as though I have trained you as a Jedi Guardian. But, you have selected the color of the Jedi Sentinel. None the less, I welcome you to the order, Jedi” The last word rang through Luxa’s mind and she finally felt fully-trained. She returned to the temple where she was officially knighted. At the ceremony the head of the Jedi High Council spoke. “Step forward Padawan. Luxa Magna, by the right of the council, by the will of the force, I dub thee Jedi Knight of the Republic.
A few years later, she was offered to go on a mission. It was no easy task, and she would be accompanied by a Jedi Master. The mission was to defeat a well-known Dark Jedi that had roused trouble on Tantooine. She accepted the mission and arrived on Tantooine where she was met by her partner. It was an old friend, El Varis. He was as surprised as Luxa, but determined to complete the mission fast. After quick greetings, chaos was heard outside. It appeared that Dark Jedi had shown himself. Before they left El said, “One of us might not make it out of this mission. If I die, I want you to have this. It is a lightsaber constructed with a special violet crystal. I found it on a mission to Hurikane. All I ask is that you cherish it.” Luxa placed it under her belt. She vowed to always keep it by her side.
The two Jedi rushed out to meet the Dark Jedi. Luxa safely cleared away the crowd as El engaged the former Jedi in battle. Then, Luxa joined the battle. Although strong in the dark side, the Dark Jedi could not match up to the two Jedi’s skill combined. He was eventually stabbed, and fell to the ground. There was no chance of his survival, so he said, “Hmm, you are both powerful! Let’s see how you face off against each other.” And with that El fell into a dark trance and attacked Luxa. Luxa screamed at him, but El didn’t react. As he drew his saber, she knew that he was more powerful, and had to be dealt with. She blocked the saber slash, and using all her strength, held the saber back. Meanwhile she drew out the special saber she had received earlier and slashed El in the torso, he fell to the ground immediately dead. “What’s done is done.”
When she returned to the temple she explained what had happened and asked to go into exile for a few years to think about the past events. She was given permission to leave and fled to the cave on Ilum. She felt a strong bond with the planet and was able to peacefully meditate there for 8 years. She enhanced her connection with the force and her abilities grew stronger. She returned to the temple at the age of 32.
The Council, seeing her force abilities were extremely enhanced, offered her a Padawan. Luxa accepted Mark Vachon. He was 21 and nearly at the end of his training. Luxa sought to it that he was taught the strategies that Master Krispus had taught her. They spent a year at the temple, and then Luxa sought out to give him a similar lesson that Master Krispus had given her. With this in mind, she immediately accepted a mission to Dantooine that needed to take down a rebellion. Their specific mission was to take out a rebel base. Luxa performed the same stunt that Krispus had. She jumped bullet after bullet, and allowed the enemy to destroy the base. But, she sensed a great force power within the base and immediately drew her saber, taking out all the troops. A mysterious figure appeared and came out of the base. He approached Luxa, and drew a red lightsaber. Luxa was distracted by the other men, and although she sensed the presence of the Dark Jedi, she did not react. Mark, who went unnoticed by the enemy, pounced out with his saber and struck down the evil Jedi just as he was about to kill Luxa. After this event, Mark’s training was confirmed complete, and although she only went on one mission with him, Luxa was given credit for the training. She was promoted to Master.
MASTER
Luxa was 33 when she became a Master. By this time, she was well-known and respected amongst the Jedi community. But she sought out to do more then sit at the temple all day, and was fond of the idea of becoming a Jedi Watchman. With her skills being well-balanced and powerful, she was appointed Watchman of her native planet of Ryloth. She was able to keep it well managed from the temple, and occasionally visited the planet. On her first arrival she worked to help various families, set up charities, and fund an array of programs to attempt to lower the poverty level.
She also was able to arrest many slave traders, and even execute a few who resisted. Becoming a Watchman, Luxa looked to improve her skills and so she taught herself a power that only Watchman have the ability to perform, Force Cloak. She has gotten pretty good at it.
She currently resides at the temple where she stays in contact with various officials from Ryloth. She constantly visits the planet, and one day hopes to end the slave trade on Ryloth. However, she always up to a break from her duty for a mission.
Soon after, Luxa aquired a Padawan, Velos Borgmen, and immediatly took him to Ryloth. While there, they encountered some slave traders, whom they successfully fought off. They took their leave on Ryoth, and headed to the Temple for a quick rest.
Upon settling in at the Temple, Luxa sought out the opportunity to train Velos a bit, and so the duo spent a couple of days practicing their ligthsaber skills.
A few days later, Luxa and Velos were sent to Empress Tetta to bring back to Lost Jedi. They were accomanied by Tuljima Gunslinger.

Master Luxa magna excitedly boarded the ship. She was looking forward to what she would find on Ryloth. She had studied the planet, and had contacted various families that she would stay with one her visits. This would be her first of many visits to the planet of which she had recently become the Watchman of. She knew that Ryloth was a poor planet, but knew it could be improved.
She first arrived in her home town of Sal’Kaasa. She found a poor community that was completely self-functioning. She met with a newlywed couple whom with she would be staying. She was greeted kindly as a native, and a fest was thrown in honor of the Jedi.
She reported to the feast, where she was the guest of honor. While there, she took the opportunity to survey the town on what they looked to improve. Most of the town had never left Sal’Kaasa before. Not only did they not know what the rest of the galaxy was like, but many didn’t even know how neighboring cities functioned. The town thought that their technology and life style were the only ones existent. Appalled, Luxa sought out to begin improvement on the civilization immediately. She announced that all able workers should report to the very spot of the feast tomorrow to begin a community project.
After the feast she was dragged aside by a local name Jol’Himal. Jol had been lucky enough to travel outside of Ryloth and knew what other life was like. “I know what you think you are going to do, and I recommend that you do not try it! Many before you have tried to do the same thing, but their ’projects’ were interrupted by unwanted visitors.”
“What do you mean?” asked Luxa.
“Rancors, slave traders, anything that want power (or food) will first come to the weak, defenseless settlement.”
“Well, it seems these beasts will soon meet the power of the force,” exclaimed a determined Luxa.
Surprisingly, many townspeople actually showed up the next day. Luxa talked about organizing community teams that work together to drive off the many enemies. Luxa organized the construction of a town hall and attempted to give Sal’Kaasa the first form of government Ryloth had ever seen.
Weekes became months and the building was starting to take form. Luxa talked about elections, and a leader, thinking one person that made decisions was part then no government at all. With the completion of the town hall, a consensus within the community named a young Twi’lek named Lik’Mika the ruler of the small settlement. However, some were still angered by Luxa’s philosophies and disagreed with the entire system. An organized rebellion arose and Lik’Mika sent a mob of confident soldiers to deal with them. However, Luxa was upset with the violence, and knew that this type of government would never work.
To solve the problem, she created a new plan for the city. Four directors would be selected to govern the city. One would control the few soldiers the settlement had and ensure the community’s defense. Another would be in charge of making sure that the community had enough supplies. A third person would be in charge of organizing construction projects within the community. A final person would ensure the voice of the people is heard within the government. Now, if one person made a decision and all three of the other representatives disagreed, the decision would be over turned. The town’s people liked this idea, and appointed four representatives.
The organization of the town was truly tested when a Rancor attack the settlement. Panic-struck citizens ran wild, hiding their children, but the defense representative stood strong and called upon the town soldiers. Spears were thrown, non-stop until the beast returned to its home, leaving the town unharmed. Seeing this as closure of the success of her ideas, Luxa decided the only test that remained was to see if the settlement could survive without the support of a Jedi. So, Luxa took her leave after many months.
She arrived at the port when a ship landed. Three men with blasters, and two carrying chains exited and Luxa immediately knew they were slave traders. Not knowing she was a Jedi, the men threatened Luxa and told her not to resist. “You will no longer harm these people!” exclaimed Luxa, as she now was truly protecting the planet. She drew her lightsaber and sprinted towards the enemies. Two were cut down during Luxa’s sprint, as she slashed the last man holding a blaster. Then she stabbed on man in the heart, and cut off the last man’s head. Their shrieks only brought pain to her mind, as she vowed never to kill like that again.
She left Ryloth, only to find that the government would collapse a week later. “Creatures are attracted to power which is why a government in Ryloth won’t work right now. However, there will be a day, when the slave trade ends and the various settlements of Ryloth combine to form one nation. And when that day comes, I’ll be there…”
