Name: Delvynn Caalaron
Race: Miraluka
Age: 9 Years.
Height: 4'1"
Weight: 61 pounds
Appearance: Delvynn has a milky-white complexion; her home world contains a sun which emits only infrared rays. Her skin is fair, but soft to the touch and very smooth. She is of average build, but has powerful legs. Her left arm harbors a grotesque scar. She has long, golden-brown, double-braided hair that flows to her lower back. Since she has no real eyes that contain the power of sight, she wears jet black lenses over her eyes to conceal them. She also wears her robe with a hood that droops down to eye-level in case her glasses are broken or removed. Her lips are thin and her nose is slender. Devlynn's lower left cheekbone contains a beauty mark. Down her right shoulder blade rests a birthmark about six inches long in the shape of a worm.
Birth place: Alpheridies
Faction: Jedi Order
Rank: Youngling
Bio: Father: Dulin Caalaron, Age 49
Mother: Asuki Caalaron, Age 46
Sister: Maara Caalaron, Age 22
Brother: Shauli Caalaron, Age 16
Delvynn's family originates with her parents, Dulin and Asuki. Her father and mother are ex-Jedi, having left the order at ages twenty-six and twenty-three, respectively. The pair did not agree with the Council's teachings of depriving oneself of emotions, such as love, which the two experienced. Fearing themselves tempted to fall to the dark side of the force, they both decided to leave the order and promote a family in peace.
After a short while they returned to Alpheridies, where her father started his own business repairing commercial starships and damaged weaponry. Delvynn's mother resigned herself to working as a waitress at a local pub which was a job she had admired ever since her time in the Order. She enjoyed the atmosphere within the pub because of the vast amounts of people she would be able to meet and learn about.
After a year or so had passed after they resigned from the Jedi Order when their first daughter, Maara, was born. One more child was born before Devlynn entered the universe.
Her two siblings, Maara and Shauli, are far different from one another. Maara, the eldest, has just received promotion to the ranks of Jedi Knight at the minimum age of twenty-two. Due to their shared Miraluka ancestry and similarity in appearance, many often wondered how well Delvynn would perform. Hushed gossip amongst the teachers who'd taught the now Jedi Knight wondered if their was any relation, but they did not bring it up to either party. Ever since she could remember, Delvynn had idolized Maara for the simple fact that they were both of the same race.
The other sibling, her brother Shauli, is one of the rare Miraluka who does not possess the gift of force awareness. Due to this, he is completely blind and unable to perform most tasks the rest of the Miraluka can do without much effort at all. Shauli has been working for his father since the age of thirteen, but his disability limits his time spent on the job and his ability to perform the tasks required of him. Devlynn is currently unaware of the existence of her brother at all.
Delvynn herself was taken into the Jedi Order at the tender age of two. Her parents, expecting the arrival of the Jedi within months after her birth, accepted their child being placed in the temple peacefully. After returning to their homeworld, her parents consulted with the leader of their town. He decided that for the sake of all Miraluka children, these two must allow the Jedi to take any child they wished for training. Since they still did support the light side of the force-- just did not want to observe the Jedi teachings of emotional depravity and avoiding intra-personal relationships-- the couple agreed. They wanted their children to be on the side of light and receive Jedi training because of the benefits, but also be able to make their own decisions when the time came. Two of their children, including Delvynn, were taken to the temple.
At age five, Delvynn was able to understand the basic components of the force, as she had been used to it and molded to live with it by her parents and the rest of the Miraluka community. She had grown quite tall for her age, but her popularity with her classmates and explosive potential to learn drew the attention of both friend and bully alike. She had met one particular youngling who shared similar ideas and gifts to herself, Khaalia Baacta, a Mirialan, became her closest friend and rival.
At age six, Delvynn and Khaalia were shown the face of death for the first time in their lives. A young Jedi Knight had just returned from a mission, battered and bloody. He had encountered a pack of Sith Military troops that attacked him. They pursued, but resorted to using a thermal detonator which took his right arm. Somehow the man escaped, but he had lost a lot of blood on his way back to the Temple. He stumbled into the temple and died propped up against a wall moments later. The two girls were the first to discover his corpse and the bloodcurdling scream which ensued caused many teachers and students to come running. Delvynn was so terrified that she fled from the scene in tears. Khaalia chased after her. The sight of a dead man drug Delvynn into a depression that nearly gave her over to the dark side. Khaalia's presence and friendship were the only things to save her.
A few months later, Delvynn was practicing her Shii-Cho with a newfound fervor; new Younglings were at the Academy and their spirit lifted her own. She wished to become the best student she possibly could be in preparation for the Padawan trials this coming year. She was starting to get older in the ranks and believed Khaalia would be getting chosen for apprenticeship soon, even though she was a year Delvynn's junior. Having a rather large sense of determination to be better than Khaalia, Delvynn worked harder than ever, even though she had little understanding of the more complicated ways of the force. That was when she witnessed Master Duran Poingard training in one of the facilities nearby the Youngling dormitories. He, like she had always wanted, wielded a purple lightsaber, which immediately swayed her to his side. Master Duran was practicing the form of Makashi. She didn't know what the form was called, but she was in awe at the grace and skill that was performed with each particular swing. This intrigued Delvynn to the point she decided she would focus her efforts on this style in an effort to be more like Master Duran. She spent hours researching it and studying what types of training methods she should use. She also asked with a determined glance into the eyes of the teachers for them to tell her whatever they knew about the Makashi form. Satisfied, Delvynn began her training with the mindset that perhaps if she mastered this form, she wouldn't have to hide in the shadows of the other great Miraluka Jedi, she could be known herself.

Delvynn panted heavily as the golden glint of her foe's lightsaber radiated in her mind. She could not see with her eyes, but she could plainly see with the force.
"So, you ready for some more?" huffed the young girl to her opponent, eight year old Khaalia Baacta.
"I'm not only ready for more, I'm willing to prove I can beat you!" exclaimed the Mirialan to her best friend in a light, friendly tone.
As soon as Khaalia finished her sentence, Delvynn was on her in a flash. The two exchanged parries for about four seconds before Delvynn stumbled backwards, overcome by the other girl's power, but held out her free hand to execute a weak force push, knocking Khaalia off-balance as well.
The onlookers held their breath as the two stood back up to face one another once more. This spar had been going on for nearly twenty minutes and the dumbfounded audience of Younglings were on the edge of their seats with interest.
"You are a worthy opponent, Khaalia, that much is true. I cannot say the same for your lightsaber, though," piped the young Miraluka female as she bolted towards her opponent with a different strategy in mind.
Khaalia reached out to the force and force jumped over her opponent in the nick of time. She spun around quickly and slashed her opponent on the back of the neck, stunning her immediately.
"That hurt!" yelled the nine year old girl as she clutched the singed portion of her neck.
"Well, that's what happens when you insult my lightsaber, Delvynn. You shouldn't be so rude!" snickered Khaalia.
"Idle banter will not be tolerated," commanded the instructor. "You will not have time to stop for a friendly chat with your opponent if you are faced with a life and death situation, so you should treat this as such.
The two girls bowed respectfully to their teacher and readied their blades once more.
"If I can just catch her off-guard, I can land the blow that wins this fight for me," thought Delvynn to herself as sweat dripped off the sides of her face.
Khaalia was all business as she darted forward, saber trailing behind her as she meant to give this swing her full force. Delvynn focused herself and used her Force Speed to evade the blow. She ran nearly twenty feet forward, then spun around and charged back. The Mirialan turned to face her and was barely able to parry the oncoming blow. The force of the attack combined with the speed of the Miraluka's legs sent Khaalia to her knees. The elder Youngling held her green lightsaber next to the younger's neck, signifying she would strike if any sudden movements were made.
"I concede. You have fought well, Delvynn." Khaalia said and rose to her feet.
The two girls separated themselves by ten paces and bowed to one another. They then turned to the crowd and bowed quietly once more, signifying gratitude for their audience. Shortly after, they exited together.
"I'm exhausted, Khaalia! You really took all I had to defeat. I'm surprised I lasted this long."
"Nonsense, Delvynn. Your skills are superb to my own. You were just toying with me." the Mirialan laughed and embraced her friend.
"I'm starved. Let's get something to eat before the teachers make us clean a kolto tank!" chimed Delvynn.
"Great idea! Let us go."
The two girls entered the mess hall, arm in arm, eager to replenish their strength and return to their training. They both were prepared to give their all at any point, but they were focused on the upcoming Padawan trials. All the masters that returned from their missions would be looking to take in new apprentices, so the girls had to be prepared if they were to be chosen.
