Name: Tanak Sa-Jasra
Race: Human
Age: 12
Height:5' 5''
Weight:140
Appearance: Tanak has straight brown hair framing his young face and hazel eyes. He's somewhat skinny, but maintains an athletic build from his chosen passtime, the study of holovids and holocrons (That he is allowed to view,) on lightsaber combat and styles.
Birth place:Corellia
Faction: Jedi
Rank:youngling jedi hopeful
Bio: Tanak began life on the World of Corellia, he was the son of a man who ran a rather large agricultural community. He remember very little from his life before the temple. He was found at the age of three when a member of the order was sent to settle a conflict during a planetwide festival, and he grew upset. The young boy's outburst toppled a rickety nearby support rod for a shop that had been erected, and he was taken as soon as the festival ended and the Knight returned.
His training began, and he learned much of the way of the force. He took a shine to his subjects, being slightly above average in most aspects, but somewhat lacking in telepathic abilities.
Tanak soon discovered his prefered aspects of the Force and his favorite studies to be altering the world and reaching out to sense what couldn't be seen. His studies tended towards the varied forms of lightsaber combat, and piloting skills. He loved to look at the many ships flying past and and devoted his dreams to successfully piloting them. Of course... as a youngling, Tanak was only allowed to handle flight simulations. He hopes to achieve his goals of being an excellent pilot with the guidance of a Master and his inborn talent.
His life in the temple was similar to any other Younglings'. He developed a friendship with a small group, and the children survived the tests the temple provided together. His closest friend was a Zabrak named Vakar, and while they were studious, the pair could often times be seen attempting to set up elaborate pranks. Unfortunately, that doesn't work very well when those around you can feel the large container of juma juice that has been set above the sliding doorway into the hall of fountains.
His mischevious streak has been tempered, but only a little thanks to the other three that regularly spend time with Vak and Tan. A Twi'lek named Nasol'rakema normally attempts to dissuade the boys by logic. The serious Mon Cal child in their group often winds up goading Tanak and Vakar into performing their plans by insinuating that the boys will fail.
The Calamarian, Masitbi nahag prided himself on his ability to sway others and his diplomatic view. He often took the opportunity to practice on his close group. The instructors in the temple found Masi to be talented in persuasive force techniques. He often practiced on the group. He didn't tell them he was practicing, but he figured it help them work on defense against such attacks. Tanak was his favored target due to the boy's lower than average telepathy abilities. Because of this, those around him were prompted to maintain a defense against mental attacks. Putting Masitbi in his place is a favored pasttime of Tanak, leading the two into a competitive rivalry.
As Tanak grew he struggled as all who learn the path of the Jedi do. He struggled against his own youthful ignorance. He struggled not to allow his emotions to cloud his judgement. He faced the everyday challenges of a child growing up in the galaxy.
However, despite his youth, the young man fervently believes in the light side of the force. He refuses to allow his shortcomings to interfere with his path to understanding the ways of the Jedi. That doesn't mean he's the best youngling in the temple however...
At the tender age of 12, Tanak hurries as all youngsters do. He knows that patience and meditation allows for a deeper understanding and yearns to incorporate that into the entirety of his life. He doesn't always succeed, especially when time is of the essence. He will jump to a decision only half formulated, that often times doesn't work out as planned. It works out, but not without there being some kinks. Realizing this he focuses on slowing his actions through study and meditation, and using his excess energy sparring with training saber against remotes.
At the cusp of adolescence, he has also began to notice his fellow younglings, specifically the female members of the temple. That will be yet another challenge for the young boy to face.

Tanak's eyes locked on the Holo-vid. His lips turned up into a smile. The jedi he watched battle one another in a sparring session were flawlessy executing a rather advanced back and forth sequence. One was unexpectedly thrown into the air, catching the young man off guard as the pattern deviated from how it was supposed to end.
His brain spun around for a moment, as he processed the change. The Togrutan who had been tossed like a doll into the air, recovered and the boy watched as the atmosphere around him shimmered and rippled. With seemingly no effort, he rotated as gravity pulled him towards his opponent, and he swung his saber upwards and back, knocking the overhead strike that had been part of the sequence away and stumbling his opponent. The man landed, and upon extending an orange hand, stripped the other jedi of his weapon.
It was so exciting to watch the duels. He hadn't any idea how the togrutan had used the force to manipulate himself, but he was going to head to the library afterwards to pester the chronicler for help in finding another file on related abilities.
He watched the duel several more times until he had commited as much as he could to memory. In his mind he envisioned himself in the place of both jedi, using his knowledge of the sequence to deflect the overhead strike, and recovering in a way that the Togrutan would be unable to tear the lightsaber from his hand.
His patience had held as long as it could and he began the journey back to the library in search of other files. His mind wandered from topic to topic. Food, perhaps he could practice in the sims, maybe he would meditate or rest. While Tanak pondered, he deftly dodged those just as caught up in their worlds as he for other reasons. Almost. He came back to reality as he landed on his rear, and apologized for his absentmindedness.
