Name: Leira Cral
Race: Human
Age: 23
Height: 5”7
Weight: 140lb
Appearance:
Leira Cral, to those that look upon her, are almost instantaneous in giving her the stereotype of being weak, sheltered and being a softer person. This is mainly due to her sleek, shoulder length, golden blonde hair, which is generally pulled back into a pony-tail. Her skin is pale, yet she doesn’t look unhealthy with it, and her eyes are a bright blue. She is of average height, but relatively skinny, giving her a petite look.
Her Jedi robes consist of a standard cream undershirt, pulled tight to fit against her body. She wears black, form fitting pants, a standard Jedi utility belt and dark brown leather boots, with a slight raise at the heel, which come right up to the bottom of her knees. Over the top, she wears the typical loose, dark brown cloak of the Jedi order, which she almost always wears with the hood up, hiding her “delicate” features from people until the get up close to her.
As her job includes, she quite regularly has to travel with civilians, live with them, and be accepted by them. She finds this easier when she discards of her Jedi robes. On these occasions she generally wears tight-fitting black jeans and a blue singlet top. On occasions, when she finds herself somewhere cool, she will wear a black leather jacket over the top.
Birth place: Alderaan

Rank: Knight - Sentinel
Bio:
Part 1 – Birth to Padawan
Years before her birth, a young Jedi Knight by the name of Atansus Cral gained attention. Not only for his ability, but also for his differentiating beliefs to those of the Council. Atansus, a Jedi Guardian, sought to take a more pro-active approach in defending the innocent and stopping crime. He believed that the Jedi should use their powers to act before the crime was committed. Unfortunately, however, he was relatively alone in these beliefs. Eventually, Atansus left the Jedi order to return to his home world of Alderaan. Once there, Atansus sought out his family, mainly using investigative techniques he had learnt in his time with the Jedi. Upon finding them, Atansus used his skills with the force to trick their minds into accepting him back into their family. It was there that he met Stefalee Iban, a woman a few years younger that he seemed to share a connection with. It is said that opposites attract, and Stefalee, the quiet, petite young woman who had lived on Alderaan all her life found herself longing for Atansus. The two married quickly, moving to their own large house on the coast.
Whilst on Alderaan, Atansus began experimenting with different force techniques and usages. These experiments slowly began the process of him turning to the Dark Side.
It was only a year later that the two had their children. Twins by the name of Cayil, a boy, and Leira, a girl. The two seemed like perfect mixtures of their parents, receiving both their mother’s looks and intelligence, and their fathers will, and, most importantly, his force sensitivity.
When the twins were two, Atansus contacted the Jedi Order, the first time in five years, and informed them of the sensitivity of his two children. He knew that he did not have the resources or the skill to give them their basic training, so he had hopes, that when the two children became strong enough, that he could corrupt them, bringing them to his view of the force. Whilst contacting them, he used Force Conceal, hiding his powers, claiming that his force connection had been severed. The Jedi took the children into their care for training.
Naturally, Cayil and Leira were seperated, and wouldn't hear any news of the other for years to come. Both of them, now feeling completely seperated from their family, the two set about their training. Leira's timid, shy nature was a drawback on her training, as was her physical strength, as she was easily surpassed by most the other younglings. The Consulars overseeing her training, however, believed that there was something more to her.
It took the Consulars years to find what they were looking for with Leira, and that was a spark, something to change the way she acted, and revealed what she was hiding. One day, in a routine force training session, Leira overheard one of the Consulars tell one of the other students that he would make a great Jedi one day, and for those who saw it, they would say it was like a wave flowing from Leira. She seemed to awaken to the fact that she had to express her powers in order for her to gain higher recognition. It was revealed then, that Leira had inherited a gift with the force.
Part 2 – Padawan and the fall of Cayil
It was fortunate for Leira, that when she had allowed the surge of the force to reveal itself their was a guest in their class, waiting to speak to the master in charge. Aval Kiogar was a middle aged human knight, with greying hair and a look that seemed to cry that he was both wise and strong. The perfect look for his position as a Jedi Sentinel. Aval repeatedly returned to the classes, watching as Leira was trained by the consulars to channel her raw force powers. Eventually, when Leira was twelve years old, Aval decided that the time had come for Leira to move on to specialised training, taking her as his own personal Padawan Learner.
Aval immediately began taking Leira with him on his missions, which were generally minor problems across the galaxy. Whilst with him, Leira showed a unique ability of being able to earn trust and answers without the use of the force, mainly due to her innocent appearance. This enabled Aval to solve many cases, and allowing him to teach her investigative skills that would help her in her future.
As Leira matured, she began taking more of a part in the cases herself, sometimes, in minor cases, Aval would stand back, observing the stories for himself, but letting Leira solve the case for herself. She was almost always right.
When she was sixteen, Aval took Leira with him to investigate the report of a border dispute on Corellia. Once again, Aval allowed for Leira to manage the investigation. This time, however, it took a turn for the worst. Leira was out of her depth with the two groups of men, and she attempted different techniques, one including an attempt to call their bluff, which she immediately realised was the wrong technique. Suddenly, the two groups began fighting, with the two Jedi stuck in the middle. Unfortunately, having not focused on her sabre usage, Leira was almost useless in the fight, able only to defend herself, leaving Aval to fight back alone, which he managed to do so successfully.
As soon as the two were back on the ship, Aval immediately began a rigorous lightsabre training regime, focused solely on bringing Leira’s abilities with a lightsabre completely up to scratch, primarily focusing on using her speed for Ataru, meaning that whilst she may not have been as strong as her opponent, she could be just as lethal. He also gave her training in Soresu, teaching her to use the strength of her opponent against her.
Leira followed this heavy regime of strict lightsabre training, aswell as her force powers training, her meditation and her travels and experiences with Aval for the rest of her time as a Padawan.
Her nineteenth year was a big year for her, starting with an unexpected trip to Dantooine. Whilst there, Leira believed that she and Aval were merely experiencing life in a different temple, until Aval took her through the Meditation Gardens to a cave. Although it was dark, Leira could see a faint glow at the end. With the help of Aval, Leira fought her way through the Kinraith that inhabited the cave to the end, stopping in awe of the crystals she could see. She moved around, eventually deciding on a yellow crystal, which seemed to feel warm in her hands. In addition to this, Aval gave her one of the many crystals he had found on his travels - a Jenruax.
After months meditating over the crystals, the time came for her to finally build her lightsabre. It took what seemed to be an eternity, and required all of her focus, but eventually Leira Cral was successful in creating her own Lightsabre.
She also overheard some terrible news being passed from the council to her own master. She had all but forgotten that she had a brother. He was almost like a ghost of her past. She couldn't remember anything, except she had once had one. Years ago, her father had managed to contact Cayil, and through use of the dark side of the force, he managed to corrupt her brother. Cayil had left the order, taking up training under her father. Her father had recently died, leaving her sibling power-hungry, and corrupted with the dark side from Atansus' training.
Part 3 – Sibling Rivalry, Combat, and Knighthood.
Leira and Aval continued their lives, Leira pushing the thoughts of her brother into the furthest reaches of her mind, only bringing them forth when meditating. The master and apprentice seemed as if they would never have to worry about Cayil. That was the job for Guardians, after all.
Unfortunately, they were mistaken.
At the age of 21, Aval and Leira were sent to Alderaan to investigate reports of murders and disappearances in the city of Aldera. The two decided, considering the family’s aristocratic nature, that it would be best if the two tried to do this stealthily, remaining unnoticed by her brother and the gang of thugs that he was using to control Aldera.
The two moved swiftly and effectively, making a base of operations for themselves in a small apartment building not far from the Aristocratic area of the city. Leira watched out the window, seeing the house she had started her life in in the distance. She could almost feel Cayil, but knew that he would feel the same way about her.
Leira and Aval changed their clothes, taking clothes of civilians. It was a smart move, as it allowed for the two Jedi to move through the streets whilst the heavily armed men wearing the Cral coat of arms patrolled the streets. It was days before they caught a glimpse of them. One was easily recognisable. Dark cloak, the hood pulled over his head, standing atleast a foot higher than the person next to him. He was muscular and had a powerful presence. The Dark Jedi. Cayil. The other was an older woman, with hair that was once a golden blonde, but now grey. Leira was startled by the presence of the woman, but soon came to understand who she was. Cayil had returned to their family, and the blue eyes in the woman's face were perfectly replicated in her own. She strongly believed it was her mother.
More days passed, and eventually, after much time spent investigating the case, they decided that it was Cayil who was orchestrating them. The two Jedi, once again wearing their robes, slipped into Cayil's walled compound, intending to get a closer look. The two moved stealthily, avoiding guards where they could, or incapacitating them in a non-lethal way when they were unavoidable. Eventually they came to the top of the stairs. They swung them open, finding the main family room. As they stepped in, however, in the middle of the room was Cayil, a red lightsabre in each hand waiting for them. The two lit the lightsabres immediately.
The fight was instantaneous as Cayil attacked, able to fend off both Leira and Aval at once. Eventually, however, Cayil took the upper hand, and was able to throw Aval away. Aval crashed into a pillar, falling in a heap at the bottom. The siblings raged savagely, the yellow sabre moving quickly, deflecting the attacks as she moved around her brother. It was then that her mother tried to intervene. As Leira rolled away, Cayil slashed backwards, his sword finding their mother’s torso, cutting her in half.
Leira lunged at her stunned brother, managing to cut one of his hilts in half, bringing the odds back to even. Once again, the duel continued. The two moved precisely, seemingly knowing where the other wanted to move. Eventually Cayil took the upper hand, knocking Leira’s sabre from her hand. As he was swung to finish her, committing completely to the attack, she rolled out of the way of his attack, picking up her hilt and slashing, severing her brother’s head. She allowed her blade to retract, before running and sliding on her knees to a stop next to Aval. She checked his pulse, and began crying when she found out he was alive. The two informed the council immediately, before flying back to the temple.
A few weeks passed with Leira training alone. Aval had suffered severe injuries in the fight, and whilst he healed, Leira had to train herself. She focused on training droids primarily for her combat, but spent most of her time in the library. One thing that she had taken to doing, whilst she was on her own, was looking at herself in a reflection pool, trying to understand her actions on Alderaan. She had killed somone, and everything she had been told was that to kill was an act of the Dark Side. Eventually, however, she came to understand that whilst the Dark Side could take hold of someone easily, it could also be resisted.
One morning, Leira was shown to a private meditation room for the council's usage. Inside was a large droid, capable of projecting realistic holograms, creating various images. She entered alone, staring at the droid for a moment, when a woman walked in, wearing similiar clothes to her brother. Her head was hooded, hiding her face from view. Suddenly, she threw the dying body of Aval onto the ground. Leira was at his side, attempting to heal his wounds almost instantly, but it was no good. Eventually, however, the woman spoke, telling her that the only way to save him was through the use of the Dark Side. At first, Leira was tempted to follow this instruction, but soon realised that death was natural. She stood, fighting off her opponent. Upon defeating her, Leira pushed back her hood to reveal a replication of her own face. She realised then, that that is what she would have become if she had healed her master's image.
It came as a shock when she was called to the Council Chambers.
“Leira,” One of the masters spoke, “You have duelled with a Dark Jedi. The Trial of Skill has been passed.” The next one began speaking almost immediately, “You fought this Dark Jedi alone, against all the odds, and came out victorious. The Trial of Courage has been passed.” Another continued, “And you struck down your own brother. You have felt a pain worse than any lightsabre or blaster could inflict. The Trial of Flesh has been passed.” Another spoke, "You stayed strong in the face of an image that would weaken most. The Trial Of Spirit has been passed. Another finished, “Kneel, Leira. We are all Jedi. The Force speaks through us. Through our actions, the Force proclaims itself and what is real. Today we are here to acknowledge what the Force has proclaimed.” The grand master stepped forwards, and whilst cutting her braid said simply, “By the right of the council, and by the will of the force, I dub thee a Knight of the Republic.” He looked at her before saying, “Take up your Lightsabre, Leira, and may the force be with you. With that, Leira, stood, turning and leaving the Council Chambers.
She walked to the MediCorps station, to the Kolto tank containing Aval. She pressed a hand to the glass, watching the unconscious man. Suddenly, his hand moved, touching against the glass in the same place as hers. Without communicating, the master bade farewell to his old apprentice.

She could hear the soles of her boots thudding quietly on the pavement as she walked along, the shadow from her hood hiding her features. She walked with purpose, an imposing figure in the crowd, yet with an amazing grace and elegance. She looked around, looking at all the civilians staring. It wasn’t often that a Jedi wandered the middle level of Taris. It was less often that a Jedi was alone in the mid-levels, yet this did not seem to disturb her. She had her mission, and she stuck to it.
She reached the cantina, and waved her arm at the door, which opened without being activated, leaving the guard stunned. When he motioned to stop her, she held up one finger, speaking quietly as she did so, “I come on orders of the Jedi Council. If you’d rather more Jedi came through this door, which would disrupt the business, I recommend you stop.” Her calm voice had a cool, commanding tone to it, stopping the guard in his tracks. She smirked beneath her cloak and walked in, wandering through the crowd, most of whom turned to look.
Eventually she reached who she was looking for. A man wearing armour, standing with his back to her, the large Jaing head logo visible, after all, he was a Mandalorian. “Zarik, I come on orders of the Jedi Council. You are under arrest for murdering an innocent family, illegal bounty hunting and piracy.” She watched as he spun, reaching for his blaster. She brought her lightsabre up, igniting it reflexively, allowing for the blaster bolt to hit the yellow blade. He suddenly started running, and Leira took off in hot pursuit.
Eventually, Leira cornered the Mandalorian in an abandoned apartment, “I’m willing to forget that, if you stop resisting and come with me now.” Leira told him. As he opened his mouth to come out with some abusive reply, Leira pulled back her hood, revealing her beautiful features. He seemed stunned at her beauty, taking a step forward. She reacted instantly, stepping forward twice, kicking to his shin, gripping him by the back of the neck and slamming him to the ground. She pulled his arms behind his back, locking the cufflinks into place. “I have him in custody.” She said quietly into a Commlink, watching as the group of Republic Marines that were accompanying her ran around the corner, picking the Mandalorian up off the ground.
Leira followed them as they walked through the Middle City, headed towards the space port. When they arrived at their ship, Leira smirked, blowing the Mandalorian a kiss before saying, “Enjoy the flight.” And walked up the ramp into the central seating area of the transport.
