Character of the Month - Jan. 2010

All righties, this here is a new category for your monthly voting.


Basically this is your chance to recognize whichever character you believe was epitomizing SWU the past month. A character who seemed to be everywhere at once. Or a character who was especially influential.

[For now, this is just for characters in general, but if this new thread goes well, it may be expanded to male and female character of the month, Force user and non-Force user of the month or something similar to that.]



REMEMBER: This is just for active characters who went above and beyond in the month of JANUARY, so think back!
PS: You cannot vote for whoever won the previous month (x's winner = x).


BRIEF RULES:

- Since this is for characters, not members, and is also for a specific time period, the character you are voting for has to have been active during the month of voting. And by active, I would say at least TWO (2) posts within that month.

- Also, along with your reason, if you would like to link to a specific thread or post, you may do so.

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: I will say that Locke Nemsee is probably the only male, human Jedi I can stand. I am so sick of them. Very few writers can manage to convince me to tolerate one, and Rugsy there managed to do it. Locke's just cocky enough to be interesting, but adheres enough to the Jedi code that I can't accuse him of blasphemy. Locke Nemsee continues a long legacy, in the likes of Obi Wan, Luke, and Anakin, of epic jedi with the. most. boring. species/gender. combo. ever.

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: Well, for a while I just couldn't figure out who would fit here, but after reading Kella's statement, it just rings true. Locke has always been one of my favorite characters, more personality than you can shake a stick at. A great sense of humor, witty dialogue, and a soul as pure as the Room of a Thousand fountains, Locke is just awesome.

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: While I ADORE Locke, no doubt, I don't think we can rule out Levin as well. To me this Jedi is a paragon of the light side and simply does NOT get enough credit. It isn't always easy to play someone who is so far on the good side without being overpowered about it. Levin is as strong as any Council member but devotes himself solely to helping others. I absolutely devour any thread with him in it and look forward to each new thread with eager anticipation.

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: Ruck's sick. He's got his own specie's weapons, he nibbles on everything, he throws people across rooms. I dunno what else can be more awesome than that. Two thumbs up. (y) (y)

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: I have had the privilege of posting with Otter as she played Di... and there are few characters as completely and utterly evil as this one. Everyone like a good bad-guy, everyone loves a baddy they can fear. You can Fear Di'Shan.
