Garne looked out at the landscape of Nar Shaddaa from the viewport of his ship. Here he was, again, on Nar Shaddaa. The place he had run from so long ago. He wondered to himself why he was here, and truth be told, he didn't know. He just had a feeling. A feeling that he had to be here. He couldn't explain it, but his feelings had never led him astray before. He slipped his black cloak over himself as his ship landed.
Garne walked off and paid the docking fee as the Toydarian dock master came fluttering up. without a word, Garne began walking down an alleyway. He wanted to visit the resting place of the woman who had raised him. The moon seemed to have gotten worse. Garne must have walked by two or three muggings on his way. He had just thought it best to lie low and ignore them. Even though he had two concealed weapons, Garne didn't feel like getting into any fights.
Garne heard frantic yelling almost every time he turned a corner. He heard a few windows break as well. He continued ignoring them as he neared the resting place of his "mother". She wasn't actually his mother. But, Garne never knew either of his parents, so Ren might as well be his mother. Garne knelt down by the spot where she was buried and looked down at the spot.
He began thinking back to his days on this hell hole. He had to steal food to survive and wear rags to stay warm. He had hated it here. The only good part was Ren. She was the only person who loved him. now, there he was, all grown up, kneeling by her grave. He had changed since he was a boy.
He had learned it's hard everywhere and you can't change it. He also learned to fight and stick up for himself. His appearance had also changed. His black hair now lay in a ponytail down his back, he had a piercing in his ear, and was somewhat muscular. As he continued staring at the spot, he suddenly felt cold. It was a strange feeling. It wasn't that cold on Nar Shaddaa, yet he found himself shivering.
