Planet Name: Seraphim
Planet Type: Mostly Terrain
Habitable: Yes
System: (B5 on Map) Eydyn System near Chazwa
Terrain Overview: One single, massive continent. Most of it is covered in lush, calm grasslands where massive herbivores graze peacefully. A single mountain range sits near the equator of the planet. These mountains are a semi-circle that curves towards the east, where the sun rises. A single small fresh-water sea sits opposite to the mountain range. What’s fascinating is most of this planets water, is within underground lakes. Due to this state, most animals that live here have developed extreme endurance, able to wait many, many months before needing more water. By planet standards, Seraphim is a smaller world, approximately half the size of Coruscant.
Seraphim is pretty close to Eydyn- the sun that it orbits. Close enough so that the planet maintains a steady 60-75 degrees, and is fairly even with humidity. Due to it's proximity to the sun, Seraphim doesn't have a large change in seasons, but it does have three.
Kesa: The most mild season, this time of year lasts 3-6 months. It is marked by even 60-65 degree weather, occasional light showers and long days mark Kesa.
Talvi: This is known as the "Replenishing" season. For 3-4 months it rains almost nonstop varying from very light showers to heavy thunderstorms. During this time is when the underground lakes and rivers get filled, and the terrain in lower altitudes become filled by 4-5 inches of water. These fields of grass under water look almost like a sheet of glass has covered the area.
Kevat: What could be considered the hottest season, temperatures range from 70-75, and rain is rarest in this season. More irrigation than usual is needed to keep any crops from dying. Lasts 3-5 months.
Notable Features:
The Luell Mountains: The only mountain range on Seraphim, the Jedi Stronghold is carved out of the very mountain. Semi-circled in shape and bleach white stone make up the mountains. A massive cavern system is within the mountains behind the city, a sort of fallback shelter if it were ever to be breached or under attack.
The Shining Sea: Seraphim’s only above ground body of water. It is completely fresh-water with many species of fish living within. The sands that make up it’s beach are as white as the Luell mountains, and in the right light, glitters like precious stones.
The Orbital Defense Network (ODN): Nicknamed “Oden”, this series of space stations are all around Seraphim. Since they were first built, the Republic and Jedi alike have worked hard to upgrade, update, and maintain these mighty defensive stations. Each one can be docked at by one ship at a time, either to change shifts or supply. Each Oden is equipped with twenty-one turbolaser canons, medium ship-grade shielding, and a one time use EMP bomb. Oden makes Seraphim a literal fortress world, and has been defending the planet for many years.
Capital City: The Citadel
The mighty and legendary Jedi Fortress, ancient and unmoving, this bastion of the Lightside is now home to a large amount of Jedi and Republic military. The Citadel is a city in its own, communal homes, dining halls, training chambers, and private homes for Republic personnel make up the majority of the city itself. At the very top of the Citadel lays it’s Temple. A Council Chamber, youngling dormitories, and meeting rooms all included. The most impressive room though, is the Hall of Memory. This cavernous chamber near the Council Chambers is home to many Jedi artifacts, including a wall with thousands of lightsabers from centuries back are displayed. Most no longer function from age, but is a memorial for Jedi who have become one with the Force again. The Hall is constantly guarded and watched.

Major cities: N/A
Sentient species: N/A
Non-Sentient species of note:
The Numme: Absolutely massive herbivores that roam the plains of Seraphim. Each stands at around 60-80 feet tall from ground to fin, and none have ever been weighed. That fin on their backs works as a sun catcher, used for both heating the massive beast, and for a form of photosynthesis that helps keep the Numme constantly nourished. They are never aggressive, some think that they are simply too unintelligent to be. Their brains are about the size of human’s. One can always tell a day before it will rain on Seraphim, as the Numme emit a very low pitched bellow that is more felt than heard. They do this to notify their kind to head towards low ground to drink.
History:
Thousands of years ago, a group of Jedi explorers came upon the serene planet of Seraphim. It was a modest sized planet, but was also aside a well known route from the Core out into the galaxy. Captured by its beauty and peace, they decided that it would make a great place for the Jedi to build a temple. Several volunteers, all Councilors, worked in unison to carve what became known as the Citadel from the mountains. It took these Jedi a little over twenty years to carve the mighty fortress. Once built, the Citadel boomed. Jedi filled the streets, along with any Republic forces stationed to work on the Oden or stationed at the Citadel itself as security, or even simple agricultural workers. Atop the Citadel was the Temple itself and a massive courtyard that overlooks the city as well as the vast plains of Seraphim. This is where once weekly, Jedi Masters would lead anyone who wanted to join in a meditation session outside in the courtyard.
The fields all around the Luell Mountains were where the agricultural workers grew crops and raised livestock to support the Citadel. When it hadn't rained enough, the Citadel Agriculture Group relied on a complex irrigation system and sprinklers that draw water from the water that lay underground. Native flora never has any planets, as they have evolved massively deep roots that can go deep enough for water. A good amount of Jedi would even help them, and the Citadel only prospered with harmony and good will. One Jedi described Seraphim as a bright jewel among the endless black of space, and that is very true. For anyone Republic or Jedi friendly, The Citadel was a safe haven. During times of conflict or galactic war, anyone who sought safety from it could come and get away from the war. Even after so many years, no one has dared to try to attack Seraphim, it was far too well defended.
For some time, Seraphim was not as populated as it used to be. Galactic peace and prosperity has kept people away from it. But, within the past years, Seraphim has begun to pick up again. Refugees, Jedi, and other folk have flocked to The Citadel once more for safety, the Oden’s have been brought back up to specs, The Temple has been reopened, and the fields of crops have been raised once more. These days The Citadel has become more of a city within a massive Jedi Temple, one that has one of the lowest crime rates in the galaxy, as who wants to commit a crime when there are Jedi in sight constantly. More than just Republic workers and Jedi live there now, and the city has only thrived from it. The Citadel was alive once more, Seraphim always the vigilant protector of the Republic.
