Name: Vice, Victor Kirschhoff
Race: Human
Age: 24
Height: 6’6
Weight: 250
Appearance: Victor is very large by Human standards and not only because he stands six and a half feet tall but also because of the way he is built. Victor has the natural physique warrior, because of his Jedi Training he is solid muscle.
His eyes resemble the same color as his lightsaber, an icy blue, and his raven black hair remains cut short, a very military appearance.
Perhaps Victors most distinguishing feature is the large scar that covers the left portion of his body. The scar is in a similar pattern as the force lightening he was burned with as a Padawan. It reaches up his face, over his cheek and nearly touching his eye. It also runs down his side, over his finger tips, and down the left leg.
The majority of the scar is covered by the very traditional dark brown robes he wears. He doesn't often veer from the standard Jedi clothing, unless an occasion or weather demands it.
Overall, his piercing blue eyes, sheer size, large scar, ambiguous clothing and deep booming voice make Victor a very intimidating figure to behold.
Birth place: Coruscant
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Jedi Knight (Guardian)
Bio:
PRE-ORDER
Victor Kirschhoff was born on the beautiful industrial covered planet known as Coruscant. He was born to Alexander and Victoria Kirschhoff, the owners of a large shipping company responsible for transporting goods between the core planets, and major players in the happenings of the political world. With the news that Victoria was pregnant the two began preparations for their son’s birth, planning everything for their son.
The couple went as far as to plan out where the boy would go to school, that he would join the military and come back to run the family business, even deciding whom they thought would be a good family to marry Victor into. They had a map for the infant’s life before he was even born.
Like all children born on Coruscant Victor was tested to see if his midi-chlorian count was high enough to allow him to be a suitable Jedi. Much to his parents surprise and dismay Victor had a very high midi-chlorian count, but when the Jedi Council came asking for Alexander and Victoria to give their son to the Order the two merely laughed at them. As far as they were concerned their son already had his life planned, and becoming a Jedi was not a part of that plan.
Not long after Victor’s birth Alexander’s company was connected to several illegal activities, mainly the transport of illegal goods and spices and several instances of harboring fugitives. The government acted openly against Alexander in hopes to make an example out of him, in an attempt to show that no matter whom you are that you were not above the law.
They had planned to leave Coruscant already but with how quickly legal events were unfolding around them Alexander was forced to act sooner than he anticipated. He hired his own guards and made a run with Victoria and infant Victor to one of his own ships. Surprisingly they made it to his hangar where a ship was ready and waiting for them, however, waiting in front of the ship was a lone figure garbed in brown robes.
The guards Alexander hired were no fools, and because of the reputation the Jedi had made for themselves over the years they turned tail and fled. Alexander panicked and armed with a single blaster pistol he did the only thing he could think of, he tore Victor out of his wife’s arms and put the blaster to the child’s head.
“What are you doing!?” Victoria screamed as her child was torn from her embrace.
“Shut up. It’s Victor he wants…ri..right!?” He asked the lone figure blocking the path to their ship, his voice filled with fear and uncertainty. “Well, you’re not getting him. You hear me? You and your damn order can go to hell! He’s my son…MINE!”
“So you would put the very person’s life you are trying to save in danger?” The Jedi Knight asked in a simple tone, his hands held out before him and palms up showing he was posing no threat.
“Let the child go.” He continued, taking a step forward.
“Stop right there! Don’t move.” Alexander yelled, retracting a step. The sound of boots stampeding on steel echoed down the hallway leading into the hangar made the man only more nervous as he realized he was running out of time.
“If I let him go, will you let us go?” He asked, looking from the baby to Victoria and then back to the Jedi.
It looked for a moment as if the Knight were contemplating the idea before shaking his head no. “I cannot do that. You two are under arrest for …”
The knight was cut off as blaster fire echoed over his voice, Alexander had been pushed to his limit and opened fire on him. Like a snake coiled to strike a green light erupted from a silvery hilt, accompanied by the tell tale soft humming of a lightsaber and harmlessly deflected the blaster bolts to the side.
Then with the small movement of his hand the blaster pistol was tore from Alexanders grasp and flung across the hanger. Keeping with momentum the Knight dashed forward and closed the distance in two strides. Alexander’s mouth was open in awe and he was unable to react to the sheer speed of the man, a moment later he found himself laying on his back staring up at the Knight who now held Victor comfortably within the folds of his robe.
“That’s my son!” He screamed as rough hands of the arriving dock security picked him off the ground and went to secure his sobbing wife.
“Not anymore Mr. Kirschhoff.” The Jedi replied. “This one belongs to the temple now.”
THE YOUNGLING YEARS
Victor was taken the temple not long before his first birthday, and it was at the Temple that he was cared for and taken care of until he was old enough to understand the teachings of the Jedi Code. Like the other children there Victor was to be a Jedi.
Much of Victors early years were spent in play, or what any toddler and young child would mistake as play. None of the children knew it but in many of the things they did were directly related to some form of training, whether it was simple stories they were told about great Jedi heroes or trying to guess what picture was on the other side of a screen.
Early on Victor wasn’t terribly good at the guessing games, nor was he particularly skilled at the mind reading games. The informal training disguised as games wasn’t Victors favorite and as the other students progressed further and further in these skills Victor found himself becoming more and more frustrated.
It wasn’t until the formal training began that Victor found his calling, his vice. When the younglings were first handed practiced sabers and began their first teachings in Form I, Shii Cho, Victor felt himself truly connect to the force. He guided the weapon quit well and caught onto its application as not just weapon but as a tool.
During his years as a Youngling Victor out paced his peers in every aspect of lightsaber combat, his reflexes were a split second quicker, he could read his opponent’s moves slightly faster then they could read his, and above all he was learning to feel his opponent move as well. He had heard it said that the Force connected with everyone in its own way and he considered himself lucky to have found his connection so soon. Victor spent the free time he was allowed with a training saber in hand because that was when he felt the closest to the Force, he felt the calmness and serenity that he had always heard others talk about and that he never felt anywhere else.
Victor still tried hard in the other teachings of the Force, but he lacked the natural affinity he showed in lightsaber combat. Out of the several different aspects of the Force that Jedi were taught Victor lacked most in his telepathy, mainly because it was not tangible, not something he could see or feel with ease. He did well with telekinesis, finding it incredibly useful to move objects with the Force and equally as well with body techniques. He found that becoming momentarily faster or stronger worked incredibly well in lightsaber duels.
Overall Victor was a good student, he was focused and dedicated, but also very single minded in his tasks. He liked to have a single goal in mind and then reach towards it ignoring all other obstacles in his way, which lead to nearly all his instructors uniformly reminding him of one thing, to ‘be mindful of the force’ and of his surroundings.
As Victor grew older he was the first to begin his steps into puberty and he quickly outgrew the others in his class, even the girls whom generally grew taller first he quickly outgrew. By the age of eleven he was a head taller then most the other classmates and was showing that as he continued to grow he would have a naturally broad physique.
TO BE A PADAWAN
Blindfolded and engaged in lightsaber training Victor steadily deflected the blastar fire from several training droids surrounding him. It was an exercise designed to see how well and how long one could stand when surrounded by blasters. The droids got increasingly more difficult as time went on, taking quicker shots and timing their shots with one another. Victor lasted for an impressive amount of time before he missed the first bolt and felt the sting it striking him.
It was during that training session that a Twi’lek Knight by the name of Abdi Secura watched young Victor, gauged his skills and felt that he had something to offer the Youngling. With the approval of the council the Jedi Guardian Abdi took Victor as his Padawan, to show him the ways of the Force and guide him along his path.
Abdi chose Victor because of his natural affinity with the lightsaber, and his own skill was in the same area. Abdi was very military minded Jedi, he often worked with the local authorities on whatever missions he went on and often was picked for assignments that specifically required a Jedi to lead non-Jedi in combat.
Once Abdi and Victor were formally introduced the Knight took Victor away from Coruscant to the rolling hills of the planet Naboo. It was Abdi’s hope that on the beautiful planet the two could come to understand one another and so Victor could see how the Force affected the natural world, which was very different from the technological world that Victor new.
Abdi continued Victors training the way of the Force, but he took a much more pragmatic approach to it. He liked to directly relate a lecture or quote to something that would directly affect Victor, or to something he could easily understand. He told Victor that understanding the Jedi Code was important, but to live the Jedi Code was critical. ’What good is the knowledge if you don’t put it to use?’ Abdi would often say.
Abdi began teaching Victor Form VI on Naboo as well, he preached that Niman was a little bit of everything and through it he would be able to more easily understand the other forms once they got to them. It was during his initial training of Niman that Abdi also decided to broaden Victors understanding of combat and began his teachings in hand to hand combat, explaining that a lightsaber wasn’t always needed.
While on Naboo the council had Abdi act as a Jedi liaison, he helped to settle disputes on the peaceful planet and offered his knowledge freely to the queen. When the two weren’t alone Victor rarely talked unless spoken to, he learned by observing his master and mimicking what he did.
As they spent more time together Victor adopted Abdi’s mentality, he carried himself differently and tried to look at the world through a soldiers eyes. Though at the time he didn’t truly understand what that meant.
Abdi and Victor spent nearly two years on Naboo before the council sent a message for them. It was time for the two to go on their first assignment together. The council sent them to the nearby planet Ryloth, a Twi’lek world, in search of a fugitive that had escaped authorities on several occasions.
The world was a inhospitable place, one side was scorched by the sun and the other frozen because of a lack of heat. Victor couldn’t imagine a more awful place. Their search took them underground and into the mountains, out of the danger of the outside world and to a danger of a whole different sort.
Abdi did all of the talking, with Victor close by his side. During their investigations Victor couldn’t help but feel that he was being watched, he told Abdi and only received a small nod and a smile from the Jedi Guardian.
On their fifth day of investigating they were lead back near the surface and Abdi explained that their mark was likely aware he was being tracked and was going to make a run for it, which meant that they were much closer then they anticipated.
True to his words the pair came upon the Twi’lek and several Rodians and Humans getting their ship ready for take off, loading it with supplies for what appeared to be a long trip. Rather then risk a direct conflict Abdi channeled into local authorities via com link and had them shut and lock the gates to the bay. He also had them target the bays defensive turrets on the ship and its weaponry incase it was active.
Abdi sensed his Padawans confusion; Victor didn’t understand his master’s tactics. He didn’t understand why they waited safely behind the glass in the tower overlooking the bay.
“You wonder why we sit up here and do nothing?” Abdi asked as him and Victor watched the local authorities arrest their mark.
Victor was hesitant to answer at first but he eventually nodded his head.
“Tell me young one, what would we have to gain by being the first down there?”
Victor was about to answer, but realized he didn’t actually have one. There was no need to go down there beyond his own wants.
“Exactly.” Abdi replied, sensing that his Padawan had stumbled along the same path he walked. “If the two of us were to go down there, the six of them would open fire on us, no doubt turn their ships weapons at us and that my young Padawan would leave us in a desperate situation.”
“So…by closing off their escape route and using the defenses provided to us we can lessen if not completely negate casualties and allow a superior force to intimidate them into surrender.” Victor finished, reciting the lines.
“Strategy Victor.” Abdi said with a smile tapping the top of Victors head. “That is what separates us from droids. Think tactically and use your resources to your advantage.”
After their first mission together they returned back to Coruscant and continued their training where they had left off. Abdi volunteered himself and Victor often to go on patrols around Coruscant with the authorities, not only to help settle disputes but also to show the people that Jedi were active in their day to day lives.
Victor trained hard in his lightsaber combat and when he could he sparred against other Jedi at the temple, most often he liked to spar against his old classmates and other Padawans to see where his skill was lacking and how he compared. It was during one such training spar that he faced his first practitioner of Ataru: Form IV. The sheer speed, power and acrobatic nature of the style had Victor at awe and a sever disadvantage.
After his defeat he questioned Master Abdi about the style he lost to and how he might learn it. The next morning Abdi began training his Padawan in Ataru, the fourth form of lightsaber combat and the third style Victor would add to his repertoire.
Several months after Victors seventeenth birthday Master Abdi told his Padawan that they were headed on a mission, he told Victor that it was time for him to construct his own lightsaber. Victor immediately went into research, going to the Archives to research the different crystals and hilt styles so he could decide what style of lightsaber he wanted.
It took Victor sometime before he found a crystal that he felt would be a perfect match and It wasn’t long after that; that Victor and Abdi were on their way to the ice planet Hoth. The Permafrost Crystal was rumored to only be found on that ice planet and even then Victor didn’t know where to begin his search.
Abdi explained on the way to the planet that this was Victors mission, and that he would be in charge of where they looked and when the came back. Victor knew then that he was being tested by his master, and he would not fail him, he told himself that he would find the crystal no matter how long it took.
Victors search was nothing like he expected, there was no way he could last long out in the harsh blizzards of the planet. So instead he devised a plan to monitor weather patterns from orbit and only land where and when it was hospitable enough to look for the crystal.
Victor spent over one month scouring the planets surface caves both large and small for the Permafrost crystal. Even then it was the crystal that found Victor, while searching what appeared to be an unremarkable and shallow cave he felt its presence. Trapped behind several feet of Ice Victor had to carefully carve out a block of ice containing the crystal and then melted it out once he brought it back to the ship.
The ice blue crystal was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen and once they landed back on Coruscant Victor went to the construction of his weapon. He was able to find the other materials he needed readily enough on Coruscant, most of which were within the temple itself.
The end result was a very basic lightsaber concept, elegant but deadly. It was a standard steel color with an ignition switch near the thumb that could be locked in place and a second trigger near the little finger that allowed the blade to decrease in size and allow for more precise cuts.
Soon after the completion of his lightsaber Master Abdi took Victor away from Coruscant once again, this time he took his young Padawan to the desert planet of Tattooine. He explained to Victor that the Jedi Council had charged him with his own important task, one that would take some time to complete, and while the two of them were training on Tattoooine Victors primary task would be to improve on lightsaber combat.
Master Abdi and Victor didn’t move as quickly as Victor would have thought they would, at times they spent as long as a week in a single spot. Victors training was conducted primarily at sunrise and sunset, when the temperature was the most tolerable, the travelled only at night and spent much of their time traveling between small settlements or bartering for room and bored with moisture farmers.
Victor could tell that Master Abdi was looking for something, he consistently sought out Jawas, searched any wreckage he could find, and thoroughly scoured every cave that he came across. He even spent time in the Canteenas, trading war stories and information with what Victor would deem as the scum of the universe.
Along with his intense lightsaber training, which only took place in the desert where no one would see, Master Abdi showed Victor the ins and outs of a blaster pistol and rifle. He explained that Jedi were not well liked around these parts, and it was best to hide them and blend in with the rest of the populace. Victor and Abdi each came up with a new identity to go by while they mingled with the rogues of the galaxy.
Victor chose the name Vice, because it closely resembled his original name and would be easy to remember while Abdi chose to go by the name of Im’pal. The story was that the two were scavengers, finding valuable things and selling them to the highest bidder. It was a believable and legal occupation, and no one would think twice when they vanished for weeks at a time.
Vice and Im’pal continued their searching, even going as far as to sneak into Tuskan Raider domain and search, though Vice knew not what for. The longer the two stayed the less and less they made trips back to town, the occasions that they did return they often brought valuable and rare equipment they found in the desert back with them to trade for supplies.
Time continued on and in no time at all a year passed since their arrival, and still Im’pal had not found what he was sent to find. Vice could tell his master was starting to lose hope, they searched and searched and even triple checked places. Vice suggested several times that perhaps they should just go back or leave and get within range of their communications and ask for more detailed information.
Each time Im’pal declined, telling his Padawan that the needed to be out here, that it was the will of the Force. Vice didn’t understand what his master meant, why would the Force care? He tried hard to not question his master and instead continued to focus on his original task, lightsaber combat, and when they were in a place he could not practice Vice instead focused on the hand to hand training he had been taught, or practiced disassembling, cleaning, then reassembling the blasters they had with them.
Vice did everything he could to take his mind off of his Master task, did everything he could to no worry. He found peace in tinkering with weapons, modifying them or seeing what would happen when certain pieces were added or taken out. He would often sell whatever extra weapons they found, and donated what money they did not need for supplies to those that needed it.
Finally, during their last excursion into the wilds of Tattooine, after a recent sandstorm, they found a cave whose entrance had been blocked by a well placed boulder and covered in sand. As they entered the cave the smell of death assaulted them, it was a horrid and noxious smell. Based on the scene the inhabitants of the cave had moved the boulder to protect them from a sandstorm, the sandstorm that probably killed them Vice thought.
Im’pal searched the bodies of the dead, an act until recently Vice would have been disgusted with. But a look of awe came over the Padawans face when his master pulled a small turquoise cube from one of the traveler’s pockets. Vice knew what it was instantly, and also knew that this is the reason his master had been sent out here.
“What’s in it?” Vice asked as he came to kneel by his master.
“History, knowledge, it’s hard to say without activating it.”
“Activate it then.”
“Patience young one,” Abdi scolded. “We must get this to the council; they will know what to do with it.”
Master Abdi and Victor took their leave from Coruscant that night and both were eager to return back to civilization. After nearly two years in the desert Victor didn’t care if he ever saw a grain of sand again, as it was he knew that it would take forever to clean the sand out of his clothes and other belongings.
Victor was happy to be home, back at the Jedi Temple and after such strenuous training Master Abdi thought it only right to allow Victor time to recuperate. Victor spent much of his time studying, though not to strenuous, he wanted to catch back up on what was going on in the Order and so he spent much of his time at the Archives.
Unable to sit completely idle Victor took it upon himself to study and learn about Jar-Kai, a form of combat in which two lightsabers were used. Using what resources were available to him Victor eventually leaned away from his original purpose and started to focus solely on studying Jar-Kai. He wanted to show his Master something new when his recuperating period was finished.
To Victors surprise he was given three whole months to himself, and saw very little of his master. It wasn’t until after Victors twentieth birthday that Master Abdi came calling for him. He explained to Victor that the council had need for them yet again. It seemed the holocron they had found was the second in a set of two, and that during the time Victor was recuperating Abdi had been trying to track it down and he believed he finally found it’s location.
The two traveled to the planet Kashyyk, where Master Abdi claimed the holocron would be found. Once on the surface of the planet Victor took in the stranger scene, it was very different from the other planets him and his master had been to over the years.
Actually, now that he thought about it, all of the planets other then Naboo had been of some sort of extreme Hoth, Tattooine, Coruscant and now Kashyyk. He had to wonder if the majority of the planets in the galaxy were inhospitable places. His favorite was Naboo by far, it was beautiful and serene, but that was neither here nor there he reminded himself and returned his focus to the mission at hand, following Master Abdi through the maze of trees that was Kashyyk.
The two walked for hours and Victor had no idea where they were headed, but Master Abdi did and it seemed the closer they got the quicker their pace became. He mistook it for excitement at first, until he felt something else…something dark. It wasn’t excitement that drove his master to push faster it was a sense of urgency, something else was also searching for the Holocron.
Rushing out from the thick brush Master Abdi and Victor came upon two individuals leaving a cave similar to the one they had found on Tattooine, only this one was covered by tree roots and hidden well by brush. He had never truly felt the dark side before, but the feeling he was getting from the two individuals could be nothing else.
Before he could act Master Abdi was on the move, his lightsaber out and held to the side, its lavender light casting long shadows over the ground. Victor followed suit and brought his own to life, it’s icy blue blade shinning brightly in comparison to Abdis.
The two men exiting the tunnel brought their own crimson sabers to life and for a moment no one spoke, the two men merely stared at Abdi and he returned their glare with one his own. Victor on the other hand was looking from his master to the other two, his eyes darting back and forth as he waited for a signal from his master.
“Give us the Holocron.” Abdi demanded.
“Demanding for a Jedi.” The elder of the two men spoke. Victor could only compare the man to a snake, his voice was hoarse and throaty and his eyes darted about like a snakes tongue, Victor didn’t like him.
“Do not make me take it from you.” Abdi warned again, positioning his lightsaber in front of him.
“You thought there would be another way? Hmm... how quaint and very stupid of you Jedi.” The second, younger, and obviously more eager man taunted as he mimicked Abdi’s Ataru stance.
With the nod of his head the elder man directed what Victor guessed was his apprentice in his direction, while him and Abdi slowly began to close the gap on one another.
“A Padawan?” The Dark Jedi scoffed and though he was young in comparison to the old man Victor assumed he was still several years older then himself. “You insult me, master.” He spoke as he closed the distance to Victor with bold steps.
Bringing his weapon in front of him Victor initiated a basic Shii-cho stance and held his ground, unsure what the Dark Jedi was going to
do.
“Form one!? Hahaha” He taunted as he deftly spun his lightsaber around his fingertips. “Very well Padawan, allow me to give you a lesson in lightsaber combat.”
With an augmented burst of speed the Dark Jedi closed the distance and brought his weapon down hard at …nothing. At the very last moment Victor used the force to increase his own speed and rolled to the side, away from the attack.
“You’re quick for a big boy.”
“You’re stupid for a Fallen Jedi.” Victor retorted, not bothering to hide the obvious disdain in his voice.
Victor was much larger then his opponent by nearly a half foot, and easily outweighed the little dark haired man by fifty pounds. Still, despite his obvious size advantage Victor refused to be seen as a giant brute that threw around his strength like so many his size did. He wasn’t just some bruiser he reminded himself, he was a Jedi, and he vowed to defeat the man before him like he was taught.
Victor entered the basic Shii-cho stance again, planting his feet firmly and waiting for the Dark Jedi to make a move. The man was an Ataru user, a style Victor was training in himself and though he was not a master of it he understood it’s purpose, how it was used and when it was used. He would use that to his advantage he decided.
The Dark Jedi came again, except rather then attack he leaped into the air, flipping above Victor and slashing down as he spun over the top of him.
Victor dove to the side, once again rolling to evade the Dark Jedi’s attacks. The man was more proficient in his use of Ataru then Victor, and came again and again, one attack flowing into another and forcing Victor to remain on the defensive, dodging and diving to the sides.
Several minutes passed before the Dark Jedi came to an abrupt halt, allowing Victor to recover from his most recent dodge. He was obviously frustrated, Victor was more skilled then he had anticipated, but based on his purely defensive attitude wasn’t confident enough in his ability to attack, which lead the Dark Jedi to one thought. Victor knew he was no match for him, an evil smile crept its way across his cold features.
“Padawan. If you promise to stand still I will make your death a quick and painless one… and further more..”
“Deal.”
“What?”
“You heard me, I will not move from this spot.”
The Dark Jedi raised a brow, he didn’t believe Victor of course, but what did he have to loose, at most the kid would dodge to the side again and the game of cat and mouse would continue. Letting out a sigh the Dark Jedi dashed forward and leaped into the air…. Or started to…
Victor knew in a match of lightsaber combat he would fall to the superior foe, which only made him wonder why he spent so much time perfecting his skill if he couldn’t even defeat one Dark Jedi. He devised another plan instead, completely abandoning the idea of fighting the man straight up.
He waited until he felt the dark side gather around his opponent again, like it had been every time he used a force aided jump, or spin, or flip and countered by using all of the inner strength he could must and use the Force to push the Dark Jedi back the way he had come.
The effect was greater then he or the Dark Jedi could of anticipated, there was a slight moment of pause as the leaping dark side user met with Victors Force Push. Then the Dark Jedi was sling shot backwards like a bat out of hell into the nearest tree. He met the thick trunk with a sickening crack and Vice could tell he had broken the mans back on the tree, and if he wasn’t dead he was surely paralyzed.
He gathered up the mans lightsaber as he ran towards where his master was still fighting, hoping that he wouldn’t be too late to get there and lend his aid. Without thought he leaped into the action to help his mater, igniting his own weapon and that of the Dark Jedi’s he took.
What happened next was simply too fast for Victor to register, but he saw his master be flung to the side with the force the same time he felt himself halt in mid-air and begin choking, he couldn’t breath and dropped both weapons to the ground and brought both hands to his neck to try and free himself from the invisible grasp.
The old man let out a scratchy laugh as he easily held Victor aloft, taking pleasure in the Padawans pain. “You killed my apprentice. No small task. Join me, take his place and together we shall unlock the secrets of this holocron.”
“Ggh…go to hell…” Victor gasped out, and then cried in pain as the old man unleashed a current of electricity from his other hand.
He jerked sporadically in mid-air, his muscles twitching and his lungs burning for air. He was going to die, he knew it. Every ounce of his body was wracked in pain; he was bleeding from open wounds, his finger-tips, mouth and nostrils.
Suddenly he was dropped harshly to the ground, his body collapsing in a heap and he took in a deep and painful breath. Shakily he looked up to see his master in lightsaber combat with the old man once again, only this time he wielded a second lightsaber, Victors lightsaber.
He looked to the ground and saw that both were missing, he looked around for the Dark Jedis but couldn’t find it. He knew he was much too weak to be of any help anyways, and so he stared on as his master fought against the Old Dark Jedi.
They fought for a long while, long enough for Victor to gain the strength to pull himself away from the fight and watch from a distance. In a move of pure brilliance Abdi struck down with Vices lightsaber, releasing the grip on it just before it was blocked and then used the force to call forth and ignite the Dark Jedis lightsaber that Victor had dropped.
The red blade pierced right through the Old Dark Jedi’s black heart, ending the fight as quickly as it had begun. Disengaging his weapons Abdi collected Vices and the old mans saber and holocron he was holding and moved to help his Padawan. Together they made it back to their ship and Abdi rushed back to Coruscant as quick as the ship could take them.
Victor had suffered a great deal during the encounter and was suspended in a kolto-tank to heal the burns his body had received during the battle. Unfortunately for Victor the burns caused by the force lightening had been too sever for the Kolto-Tank to heal perfectly and his body remained scarred across his torso, down the length of his left arm and over the left portion of his face. The scars themselves resembled the lightening that had coursed over him, a constant reminder of his near fatal experience with the Dark Side.
After Victor healed he was summoned before the council to report and fill in the details with his battle against the Dark Jedi. He told them of how they came upon the cave, and how he had defeated the Dark Jedi but of how he had foolishly assaulted the elder Dark Jedi.
The council seemed pleased with Victors report, they commended him for his bravery against unfavorable odds, and in resisting the temptation the dark side offered when all hope seemed lost. Victor took their compliments in stride, but did not feel like he deserved them.
The council also deemed that Victor had unknowingly passed the Jedi Trials on his mission to Kashyyk. He had passed his Trial of Skill by defeating a superior foe in combat, his Trial of Flesh by the scars he now wore, the Trial of Courage by selflessly coming to his masters aid against an opponent he had no chance of defeating and finally his Trial of Spirit by resisting the temptation of falling to the Dark Side when all hope seemed lost.
However, Victor was not yet old enough to be deemed a Knight by the laws of the Order and so he returned back to Master Abdi once he was fit for duty. Together the two continued Victors training, Master Abdi helped Victor in rounding out his Jar-Kai, showing him several key things that he had missed during his self training.
Master Abdi had suffered during his fight with the dark jedi as well, his lungs had been badly injured and were beyond repair without the use of machines, which the Twi’lek refused to do. And so he told Victor he would finish out the young mans training, but then retire from the Order and put his skills to use elsewhere.
True to his word on Victors twenty second birthday when the young man was knighted into the order he accepted his own promotion into the ranks of Master as was custom and then announced his retirement only a few days after.
As a parting gift too Victor, Master Abdi handed his lightsaber over to his former apprentice rather then hand it over to the council. He described it as passing on a legacy, Master Abdi explained that his lightsaber was one that had been passed down through six generations of Jedi, and like his master before him he know passed that legacy onto Victor.
JEDI GUARDIAN, A BEGINNING.
Victor, now a fresh Jed Knight, decided that he needed some time alone to meditate on the Force and to further perfect himself and so he decided to go back to where his training with Master Abdi had begun, Naboo.
The planet was beautiful and to Victor who had been used to seeing the extremes of the galaxy it was like nirvana. Once on Naboo Victor spent much of his time in meditation, much more then he normally did.
Of course he still helped out where he could on the planet, offering assistance and guidance if it was asked of him. But largely he spent the time alone, wandering the wilds of Naboo much like him and Master Abdi had done on Tattooine.
While he spent time alone, and in between his long meditations, Victor continued to practice Jar'Kai. It was quickly becoming his preferred style of combat, it's quick and relentless offense or ability to attack and defend at the same time were extremely appealing. His large size and strength even took away some of the disadvantage that other practitioners had, which was not being strong enough to parry direct two-handed blows from opponents.
Victor spent just over a year and a half on Naboo before returning back to the Jedi Temple. He felt ready to continue his service to the Order and to contribute to the great good of all. However, he didn't feel that going about on missions was the correct approach to this.
Instead Victor spent his time searching for a Padawan, attending classes and even going as far as to help with lightsaber combat, his specialty. All the while keeping an eye out for one that he would be drawn to.

Bio:
