It bothered Alindra when she kept hearing she wasn't skilled enough to be a Sith. Many doubted her devotion, which fueled her anger more, but not in a way she could use against enemies. She was trapped in a cycle of natural selection, much as she'd been in for the better part of the past couple of years. Her heart was fully involved in her goals. It didn't feel right for Alindra to stay on Almania or travel to another world and simply take contentment there. She wanted more.
Part of what she wanted was to build a network of allies among the Sith. It didn't matter who they were, so long as they were ready to stand at her side when the battle came. Everyone was on the same side, they would gain strength from each other. The Jedi expected the Sith to fight among themselves and kill each other off; Alindra had no desire to help prove the Jedi right.
Having noticed Cadyren when he arrived at the Temple, Alindra wanted to know more about him. Like all the Sith she encountered, she wanted to know who they were and what they wanted. She wanted to better her skills, become stronger in manipulating the Force, using a lightsaber. She suspected Cadyren might know something that would be helpful, or at least prove to be a little interesting. He was younger than her, which made Alindra wonder, What makes a young man like him tick? Wanting to discover an answer, Alindra left Cadyren a note, simply telling him to find her at some point. She hoped it would be enough.
For the time being, Alindra took a different place, moving to the training grounds and doing something totally unconventional for a newcomer to the Sith: practice punching. She found a stone pillar far from the entrance and went to work, slowly building up a sweat punching away at the flat surface. Rarely did she make contact, but Alindra always made a point to throw her punches with full intensity.

Cadyren woke to find a note had been slipped under his doorway, What's this, does Grawn want me to go somewhere for training? Cadyren thought as he picked up the note, and was surprised to find it was Alindra who had sent it. She wanted him to find her some time. Curious as to what the woman wanted Cadyren got himself dressed and left his room, opening himself to the Force so that he could fight Alindra. He searched through the presences of many before he could find hers, which was weaker then that of most Sith in the academy, even his own. If she was to survive she would need to train hard or someone would destroy her.
Cadyren found her in the training grounds, practicing unarmed combat. Cadyren himself rarely used unarmed himself, focusing on his Saber and Force abilities. He guessed he probably should though, if he was ever put in a situation where he couldn't use his Lightsaber.
Cadyren wove through the groups of initiates to reach her, stopping a few meters away from her. What do you want?

Sweat poured over the young woman's face and soaked her ponytail. Her arms and legs were starting to burn after a while. Alindra had never purposefully pushed herself so hard, but that was part of the price she was willing to pay to keep up--if not surpass--the others.
Eventually, Cadyren arrived, approaching Alindra. His mood was tense and perturbed. He wasted no time, barking out, "What do you want?"
Alindra stepped away from the stone she had been sparring against. She brushed a few wet strands of hair from her face and smiled while catching her breath. "Isn't it obvious? I'm curious about you." Taking a few steps closer, she said, "It doesn't matter how strong any one of us is if we can't find someone else to work with. I doubt any Sith can take on all the Jedi alone."

Cadyren had to admire the womans dedication to her training, he could tell that she was working hard to try and become more skilled and more powerful. This did not, however, stop him from being annoyed by the fact that he was wasting time socializing when he should be training. He hoped Alindra would have a good explanation for calling him here.
Cadyren listened as Alindra said she was curious about him, and then went on to say something about how a single Sith was capable of killing all of the Jedi. That was kinda why the Sith Order was created, so that Dark Siders could be abke to fight and maybe destroy the Jedi. I'm guessing she means a more concrete alliance, with members of the Order being friends or something like that instead of people who share a commoon goal of taking over the galaxy, killing the Jedi, etc, etc.
So you believe that most Sith are self centered, how do you plan on fixing this problem? And is it really a problem? If we focus on ourselves instead of helping others we become stronger, and yes we would leave others weak but if they are unable to find a way to obtain power they don't desere to be Sith. The Sith may put themselves before others, but that doesn't mean that they work by themselves. If the Jedi were to attack right now you would not see every Sith trying to do their own thing, we would fight by each other in order to survive, so that we would be able to train more and reach our full potential. Cadyren said.

Cadyren quickly debated his position against what Alindra had said. It became clear that Alindra would have to be much more direct with Cadyren if she hoped to get anywhere with him.
"What I'm saying is that it's one thing for us to run into battle together, just like it's another thing for us to go after a target as a team." She stepped a little closer, wondering just how much of Cadyren felt like a young man and how much he was a fresh convert away from Jedi ways. So many who came to the Sith started out as Jedi and Cadyren seemed to fit the type.
"I think you're interesting, Cadyren. I think you could do wonderful things and I'd like to see what you're capable of. What is it that you want? Maybe I can help you get it."

(i'm sorry if I misinterpreted what you meant by the difference between fighting together and working together.)
Cadyren listened as Alindra said it was different to fight together then to work as a team. Cadyren shrugged, wondering if Alindra knew she was indirectly asking for the Sith to become more like the Jedi, who gained strength from working together, and he knew many of the Sith would not go for that idea. Most Sith hated the Jedi with a strong passion, and would probably kill Alindra for asking them to become more like them. Cadyren held no negative feelings for the Jedi, he just didn't agree with much of their teachings, notably the ones involving personal possession and no acting upon emotion.
Cadyren watched Alindra as she stepped closer to him, telling him that she thought he was capable of wonderful things and was curious as to what he was capable, and he smirked at the compliments. However the smile disappeared when she said she might be able to help him reach his goal. What I want is power, to be able to destroy anyone who tries to take anything from me. What makes you think that you could help me reach that goal? Cadyren said, his voice had a tint of anger because this woman thought she might be able to help him.
After he finished talking Cadyren groaned and wiped his eyes, he hadnt completely woken up yet and was easily irritated. I'm sorry, I'm still a bit tired. Now what is it that you really want? You wouldn't want to help me if it wouldn't help you get something as well. Do you need help with training or have you discovered some ancient Sith Artifact and are unable to reach it by yourself? Also why do you really want the Sith to work together, afraid that if the Order continues this way you'll be stomped and left behind or do you honestly care about what happens to the Sith?

"Here's how I can help you, Cadyren. You tell me you want power and you'll destroy anyone who tries to take anything from you. Of course you feel that way--it's the same way I feel. Now, when you find power, tell me, what will you do with it?"
Alindra walked to Cadyren's side, looking him over. Much like herself, Cadyren stood out, wearing plain white robe instead of something menacing or dark. She could see some of the cuts embedded in his skin and wondered exactly how he got them. He was strong, enough that most men would hesitate to bother him.
"And you're right, I do need more training. I don't have an extensive background with a lightsaber--but I can call upon the Force if I want to. Just look at it this way: isn't it easier to kill someone if you can get someone to lure them into a trap first?"

Cadyren had a reason for getting power, it was not something he just wanted for the sake of it. Every person he really cared about had been killed because he was to weak to save them. His amster had been killed because he was to weak to even defend hismelf, and ahd died protecting him. His first love had been killed only months later when the store they both worked for had been robbed, and she had been shot and killed by the man. He had brutally killed their murderers, but that still didn't give him back his master, who had been like a father to him, or the first girl he had ever been with.
Cadyren would never let anyone he cared about ever die because of his lack of ability never again. I will use my power for what I want. Cadyren said, keeping his voice calm so as to not appear to be hiding anything. Many of the Sith would find the fact he wanted to use his power to protect instead of control would view it as a weakness, and he knew that many of the people in the Temple could destroy him should they choose to, and he didn't want to give them any reason to do so.
Cadyren noticed that Alindra was looking him over, and he felt a moment of adolosent glee at the thought of a woman looking at him, however his time as a Jedi helped him control himself if anything and he was able to control his still somewhat childish mind. As Alindra told him she did need help with her training, and that she hadn't much training at all with a Lightsaber, Cadyren nodded, Well it's kind of obvious that you have little training in the Force, and most people who who are ill trained in that area are ill trained in using a Lightsaber as well.
I would suggest working on training with a Lighsaber if you don't really know how to use one. even if you want to become a Prophet you need to at least know Shii-Cho. Cadyren said, wondering if Alindra was aware of the three classes that A Sith chose betwen, Prophet eing the more force focused, Marauder being more focused on the Lightsaber, and the Assassin, who were in between. Cadyren was now following the path of the Assassin, just like his new master, Grawn. Cadyren was curious as to what path Alindra would choose to follow.

It wasn't going well. Cadyren wasn't going to offer anything about himself, not that she could actually latch onto. Any opening would do. Alindra wanted to find a commonality between them, something to make their foes all shared foes.
"When I first got here," Alindra said. "I really thought I wanted to be an Assassin. I thought it was what suited me best, since I'm so different compared to most Sith.
"And since I've been fascinated by lightsabers ever since I first saw this one--" She held out her weapon, only to display that she possessed a lightsaber, nothing more. "--I wanted to know what this thing could do, as well as what I could do once I had the skills to back it up.
"But the Force itself has always been what I'm the best at. I feel closer to it than I feel to any weapon. With the Force, I can kill, I can wound, I can move faster than I ever thought possible as a child.
"Ultimately, Cadyren, you're right. No matter which way I go, I'm going to need to know more of how to use a lightsaber. I focus on other things because my teacher relied too much on this lightsaber. And it got her killed."
Alindra stepped around Cadyren as she talked. It was a move she was starting to favor more and more, just to see how someone would react. She doubted anything would happen with Cadyren, who seemed to be more than immune to her whimsy. Instead, Alindra shrugged and said, "I actually do have a few plans, things I'd like to take, places I'd like to go to." And rule. "I'm just wanting to see if maybe we could help each other out."

Cadyren was a little surprised that Alindra wanted to be an Assassin, but then realized that her logic was sound. She looked nothing like a Sith, and her current lack of training made it so that the Jedi might not recognize her as a Sith. She probably would make a better Assassin then Cadyren at their current levels of skill, though with Grawn's help Cadyren would hopefully become better. Cadyren looked at the old Lightsaber as Alindra held it out, wondering if she had dug it up out of the ground or something. Where did you get that piece of junk? That think looks ancient, where did you find it?
Cadyren then listened to Alindra as she spoke about how she was more skilled in the Force, and that part of the reason she focused on other things was because her teacher had died because of her reliance on the weapon that Alindra now carried. Cadyren was curious about this teacher of Alindra's, whoever it was must have either died shortly after taking Alindra as her student, or not taught her much at all. He was also curious as to what Alindra's plans were, and what it was she wanted to take.
Cadyren decided that maybe having an ally wouldn't be a horrible idea, as long as he didn't let Alidnra get to close, so that she could stab him in the back and leave him to rot. He would have to keep her at arms length, so if she proved a useless ally that only held him back he could just toss her aside and continue his quest for power. Well if we're to help each other out, your going to need to learn how to properly use a saber. Cadyren said as he pulled out his own, though he did not ignite it yet. I could teach you some of the basics, I havent mastered them myself just yet, but I'm pretty close.

"Where did you get that piece of junk?" Cadyren asked. "That thing looks ancient, where did you find it?"
"Almania. I got it from the old woman who trained me. Before I met her, I just thought I had strong instincts. As crazy as her methods were, she showed me I had more than instinct to draw from." Alindra held her lightsaber to her side, ready to ignite it when the moment came. Lighting it early, especially if training against someone with a lightsaber that worked properly, would have been a mistake.
Cadyren convinced himself to try out Alindra's idea of alliance, if only for grudging reasons. "Well if we're to help each other out, your going to need to learn how to properly use a saber." He took out his lightsaber, but kept it shut down. If it was his fighting method, Alindra had no way of knowing. "I could teach you some of the basics, I havent mastered them myself just yet, but I'm pretty close."
"Pretty close to mastering the basics is a lot better than what I've gotten," Alindra said. "The old woman was dead before I was able to take this thing." Stretching a little, Alindra finished regaining her breath and her composure. Should Cadyren choose to test her skills, Alindra would be ready.

Cadyren nodded, so Alindra had been given the Lightsaber, and had not made her own. He might have to assist her in building one at some point, as the one Alindra now wielded looked like it was about to break, or was already broken. Lightsabers were usually built to last, however the amount of running around and other activities Jedi and Sith did tended to force the owners to repair their Lightsabers every now and then.
Cadyren smiled when Alindra accepted the offer, and ignited his Lightsaber, the green blade leaping from his hilt. He made a simple swing toward Alindra's side, followed by a downward blow toward her head. The attacks were slow enough, and the movements so simple that Alidnra should have been able to track the blade. He did however prepare himself to stop his blade from slicing Alindra to pieces, as there was still a chance she might make a mistake and fail to stop his blade.

Cadyren started as quickly as Alindra expected him to. She didn't know how he might attack, but she expected it to come fast. Cadyren was a young man full of rage and strength. He would always take the opportunity to fight, if only to demonstrate his strength.
The first attack was a fairly slow swing at Alindra's side. Knowing the limitations of her weapon, Alindra did what she could to keep from turning it on. Her deftness at dancing was her main tool as she jumped back, bending herself to barely escape the glowing energy weapon. Then she saw the lightsaber turn, moving just a little faster and aiming directly for her head.
Pride and conservation could only take Alindra so far. Another moment of holding both, and she would lose her head. The time had come.
Pressing the button on its side, her lightsaber sizzled and came alive. A glowing bar of dirty yellow rose a moment before Cadyren's blow crashed against it. The vibration torqued through Alindra's limbs and she pushed back, trying to bend the clash away from her head.
Her lungs emptied all at once, giving her enough space to move. Alindra knew her best weapons were the Force and her ability to move. From her limited experience, Alindra was sure that she would be much better suited to evading attacks rather than blocking them. As much as she knew her weapon, she knew she could only trust it to a point.
Pushing herself an extra step away from Cadyren, Alindra turned showing him her back for just a moment. As that moment, ended, she spun and faced her sparring partner once more, moving in with her own lightsaber.

Cadyren watched as Alindra dodged the first blow, Why didn't she just turn on her Lightsaber, my attack was easy enough to block. What is she trying to do? Cadyren had to take a step forward for his next move to get close enough that in a real duel it would be able to hit her, hwever Alindra ignited her saber and it blocked Cadyren's green blade. Cadyren glanced at the dirty yellow blade of Alindra's saber, thinking there was something odd about it before Alindra broke away from the combat, exposing her back for just a moment, however in that moment Cadyren could have ended the duel then and there if he had chosen to.
However he didn't and as he made another simple slash with his saber he began to explain how Shii-Cho worked,Shii-Cho is mostly just simple movements with the saber, simple uppercuts, downward swings, and slashes from side to side. Diagonal strikes are also used, but not by pople who are jsut being instructed in the form. The main focus of the form in Lightsaber combat is t disarm or behead the opponent, however making attempts at cutting off limbs are also used. the defensive moves are just simple blocks that were created to defend against other simple strikes, so this form rarely works against advanced forms.
Cadyren kept to using the simple Shii-Cho strikes, hoping Alidnra would be able to watch and mimic his strikes. He didn't add any element of Djem So, his favored form to his strikes, so Alindra would be able to fight back against him, instead of being forced to gourd herself from his swift and powerful attacks and counter attacks

She went through the motions, doing everything she could to make sure there was an element of speed involved as well. The processes of Shii-Cho made sense to Alindra, it was only a matter of sorting out their uses, finding ways to make it all link together.
The problem came almost a minute into the exercise. Alindra knew it was about to happen. The sputtering sparks coming from her lightsaber were always the first sign. She kept going, doing what she could to make the best of the time she had, learning from Cadyren what she could.
"I'm sure you've already noticed," Alindra said between strikes and blocks. "I fight with very concise timing." Another sputter fired out of her lightsaber. "Of course, I'm sure you've already figured out why I fight this way as well."

Cadyren was pleased with Alindra's progress, her grip was decent, her strikes were accurste enough considering this being her first lesson, and her reaction time was good for a Force sensitive. He noticed that Alindra tried to make her strikes faster, and sped up his movements as well, he was focusing more on blocks then he was attacking right now, so that a slight mistake wouldn't lead to her losing a limb or dying. To an unpracticed eye he would seem to be of almost the same skill level as Alindra, but any proficient duelist would notice that each stroke was only made after he calculated the exact angle he wanted the blade to go and just how much of his sttrength he should put into the blow so that he didn't have to worry about accidentily knock Alindra's Lightsaber into her and kill her.
Not even a minute into the fight Cadyren saw that Alindra's saber was malfunctioning, he wondered if they should stop, but Alidnra kept going, either oblvious to the fact that her saber would probably break soon or she just didn't care. It seems that the latter was the correct one when Alindra explained that she had to be careful about her fights, as her Lightsaber would malfunction very quickly. He nodded, I see, perhaps you should learn how to fix the Lightsaber, or maybe even make your own. I could help you with that as well, if you'd like.

When Cadyren mentioned that Alindra should fix or replace her lightsaber, Alindra laughed for a fraction of a second. "There was a time when this thing would only stay on for about twenty seconds--or it was totally unstable." Pressing on her attack, she continued. "My sister actually fixed it for me. Improved the efficiency and the output."
And, with a sputter and a hiss of sparks, the lightsaber shut down. Alindra stayed in a defensive pose, ready to fight on if she had to. "With this kind of weapon, I have to be fast, though at some point, I do need to build a new one."

Cadyren wondered why Alindra had kept the Lightsaber if it didn't even work, especially if it wasn't her Lightsaber originally. Then he remembered it was her masters, and guessed he probably would have done the same had he haad lost his Lightsaber and he was able to find either of his old masters.
He was curious about this sister of Alindra's who managed to repair her lightsaber a little. Most people other then a Jedi weren't able to figure out how a Lightsaber worked, and he wondered who had taught this sister of Alindra's.
Cadyren blocked Alindra's attacks with ease as she pressed forward, wondering when exactly Alindra planned on replacing the saber. At her skill level she didn't need to be fighting with a handicap, as the saber malfunctioned and turned off Cadyren shut off his as well, wondering what they should do now, he considered letting her use his Lightsaber while he showed her a few of the basic sequences of Shii-Cho, it would be easier if they both had a Lightsaber so they wouldn't have to trade the saber back in forth for an hour or so.
I still think you need to build a new Lightsaber, you don't need to make Lightsaber combat even harder for yourself then it has to be, plus training would go by much quicker if each session doesn't only last a minute. So how long till you can turn the thing back on? Cadyren said, hoping his new ally would atleast have the saber repaired again so that it worked properly.

"You're right," Alindra said. "I need to do something about my weapon. As much as I need the challenge of staying faster than another lightsaber, I need to be able to practice for more than a minute at a time."
She breathed heavily, irritated at the truth of things. The fact that she had committed herself kept Alindra motivated, but it didn't make her any less angry. "It takes about twenty minutes for the power cell to recharge--it used to take an hour, but my sister figured out how to improve the electrical efficiency."
Calming her breathing to a rational pace, Alindra finally decided to ask something that she nearly felt was a weakness to ask. "Do you know where I can find some lightsaber parts?"

Cadyren nodded as Alindra finally admited she needed to do something about her Lighsaber, as challenging herself when she wasn't even skilled enough to fight a sixteen year old. He wondered what kind of Lightsaber she would make, he expected her to build a sigle hilt, but Lightsabers could be made to compliment a certain form. His Lightsaber had originally made a simple Lightsaber, but he had added a grip near the pommel so that he wouldn't lose his grip while using the aggresive form of Djem So.
Cadyren frowned when Alindra said the Lightsaber took twenty minutes to recharge, She definetly needs a new saber as soon as possible, if she is to stop herself from being killed in a Lightsaber duel.
Cadyren laughed at question, finding the parts to build were pretty easy, except for the crystal of course. You would either have to create a synthesized crystal or go to one of the caves found on some planets, like Dantooine or Illum. All we really need is to go to a junk yard and I can find the correct parts. Now do you want to use the crystal in that Lightsaber for the focusing crystal, or would you rather get your own?
