OOC: If a master wishes to join to help me complete this mission (which I plan to probly be the first and last before I become a knight) they can do. Just come in anytime and explain that you were sent by the council to keep watch on Andrew or something like that.
Andrew sat on his bed in the temples dormatories meditating. So much had happened in the last few years. Rejection from the order, the death of his parents, becomming a padawan, the death of his master. It was almost too much to bare, but he had to keep going. The only other option was becoming homeless, which was not very favorable when the homeless were exploited and murdered on the streets of coursant, or the dark side and Andrew had already been given a taste of what the dark side can bring and it made him shudder everytime he thought about it.
No. He had come back to the order and patiently waited these last few months for a new master. And now was the time. The council had informed him that today he would be getting a new master. Hopefuly he'd finally be able to get out of this stuffy old temple and get back out into the real galaxy for some proper action. Fighting training droids and other pupils was all well and good but he yearned to show off his skills in real combat.
Andrew openned his eyes and looked around the room. It had been his since he joined the order six years ago. There was only the bare minimum. A bed, bedside table, desk and chair and a bookcase. Jedi were forbidden to keep posessions. It supposidly led to the darkside but Andrew held on to three. One was the locket his mother had worn which contained a picture of her and Andrews farther. The second was his farthers pistol, which was an old projectile revolver from the aincent times but was still useful against unarmored targets. The last was his old masters Lightsaber, which was more for centimental value than combat.
His own lightsaber however was special to him, as with all jedi. It glowed a deep blue colour when activated, the colour of a guardian. The crystals inside were gathered from deep within the crystal mines of dantooine and gave the blade a light and balanced feel, enabling him to either fight one handed or two handed. Andrew looked over at it on his bedside table and retrived it with a pulse through the force, causing it to leap into his hand. He looked it over then placed it on his lap ready for when his new master came to join him.
Suddenly the door openned and Andrew looked up to see Master Je'lan standing in the door way. She was one of the higher ranking masters of the order and a very respected master at that. She had light blonde hair, was mid fourties and wore the white cerimonial robes of a high master. Andrew immidiatly got to his feet and bowed before her.
"Greetings Master Je'lan." He said. "Indeed young padawan. It is good to see you well." She replied with a smile. "Are you here to become my new master?" Andrew equired. "Unfortunatly, no I am not." Master Je'lan replied. "However I do bring good news. The council has seen fit to provide you with a mission in your spare time. Now this is a fairly simple task but important none the less. It will also help you with your trials." She handed him a small holo-disc. "This contains the breifing for the mission. We expect you to leave as soon as possible. Good luck, and may the force be with you." She said turning to leave. "Thank you Master, and may the force be with you too." Andrew replied as the door closed behind Je'lan.
Andrew turned to his desk and laid the holo-disc down facing him and activated it. Suddenly a grainy blue image of one of the other masters appeared. "This task we have set to you, Padawan, will test your skills in negotiation and intelligence. We require you to return to your homeplanet of Naboo to settle a disterbance in one of the farming villages. Alot of the farmers cattle has been mysteriously dieing lately and one of the farm hands has gone missing. This should be quite a simple test. A full read out of the location of the incident is within this datadisc. We wish for you to learn what you can from the residents and resolve the problem. You may call for assistance if you need it. Good luck."
As the holodisc deactivated Andrew stood for a while in deep thought. This was a great oppotunity to prove to the council that he had what it took to join the ranks of the Jedi knights. However, there was something strange about the mission. The only disterbances he'd ever encountered on Naboo was from a stray minoc. Something wasn't right, there was something more sinister behind this 'disterbance'. Never the less He quickly put on his robe, attached his Lightsaber and blaster to his belt and gathered a few credits into his belt pouches and set off toward the landing pad.
The landing pad was a bustle of activity as usual. He boarded a near-by shuttle bus to the main spaceport. When he arrived he boarded the first passenger flight to Naboo. He would then have to travel by Kaadu to the small village where the incident had taken place. As the little shuttle hurtled through space, Andrew sat down and began to meditate...
OOC: Will post more later. Again, feel free to join in at any time, I have something special planned.
