This is something I always wondered how the clone wars lasted as long as it did. I mean the war lasted five years. How did it last that long? At first people explained that the war was a stand still, a perfect draw Droids vs Clones Jedi vs Sith, and Good vs Evil. Then I realized that it is not even. There were over a thousand jedi vs two sith. Then a single jedi could kill over twenty droids before dying, so it seems that the republic had a huge advantage. Dooku and Grievous couldn't be everywhere at once fighting jedi, so how did the war last as long as it did?

The Clone Wars are filled with inconsistencies. Some sources say the Clone Army was like six million soldiers. Considering how big the galaxy is... That's like, what, 3 soldiers per planet? The CIS' factories could pump out millions of droids per week. Yeah, Clones are still way more epic, and one clone is worth like five droids, but still. That's billions of droids. And the Jedi not being able to kill off Sidious is because of his super-sneakiness. How they didn't find Dooku, or rather, how he got away so friggin many times, I have no idea.
The Clone Army, in Ep II, is about 200,000 units strong, with 'a million well on the way'. That's... nothing. Of course, other sources say that that was just the beginning, and that facilities across Kamino were ready to make millions more. Still.

Hey, do you remember a character named Palpatine? Remember how he was the chancellor of the Republic Senate and also led the Separatists from the shadows? Stuff generally turns out the way you want it to when you control both sides.

But a unit could have consisted of more than a single clone, couldn't it?

Pretty sure 'unit' meant clone in that context.

The Kaminoan definition of 'unit' has been left ambiguous. It could mean anything.

Stuff generally turns out the way you want it to when you control both sides. Yeah. That's basically it. Palpatine more or less orchestrated how long the war lasted. He helped start it and he certainly finished it.
