This is your chance to recognize whichever character you believe was epitomizing SWU the past month. A character who seemed to be everywhere at once. Or a character who was especially influential.

[For now, this is just for characters in general, but if this new thread goes well, it may be expanded to male and female character of the month, Force user and non-Force user of the month or something similar to that.]



REMEMBER: This is just for active characters who went above and beyond in the month of APRIL, so think back!
PS: You cannot vote for whoever won the previous month (March's winner = Cadyren Calden).


BRIEF RULES:

- Since this is for characters, not members, and is also for a specific time period, the character you are voting for has to have been active during the month of voting. And by active, I would say at least FOUR (4) posts within that month.

- Also, along with your reason, if you would like to link to a specific thread or post, you may do so.

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: Ok, so I've had the pleasure of being in a thread with Alindra for some time now, and I've got to say, I really like her character. Night does a great job with posts with her, and has--on more than one occasion--made me go 'whoa ' with her. She's really a fun character, and is I've taken to stalking the other thread she's in with Cadyren, simply because I enjoy reading night's posts with her.

This character has been getting quite a bit of duel time as of late; I've had the absolutely super-special joy of modding one of them, and Rugs has done a stellar job incorporating Kvothe's individual story and specific faction into his posts throughout. ^^ Epic character.

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: Much like Rugs, I've been in a thread with Kvothe for a while. Kvothe is a unique character in a Star Wars setting, empowered by the Force, though he calls it Mythos. A wizard in a Jedi/Sith landscape, he proves that a good character is steeped in depth and detail (his feud with his brother; his relationship with his flickercat companion, Fas), but he also shows that a Force user doesn't have to have a lightsaber to be cool or interesting.

And as a side note, I meant to come on here and vote for Kvothe. I had no clue that Rugs had already voted for Alindra. Since we both mentioned it, I feel compelled to put up a link to the thread we've been playing: New Faces in a New World.

I recently had the pleasure of reading through Kvothe's bio, and I must say, it's one of the best that I've read. Not to mention, he's shown a splendid, dynamic (PHEER MY OVERUSED WORDS!) personality throughout the threads he's played. And, soyeah, I third that motion. ^^

Seeing as I've not yet managed to RP with Kvothe (and had to read his bio since he was in my section) I don't think it's fair for me to vote for him...yet. Though I do agree with ^ from what little else I've seen (not a whole lot).

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: Ss'ss'th hasn't been active for quite some time...until recently. Since he first entered my section as a wee lil' WIP I was a bit...O.o "big snake wut?" about him. However, as the bio progressed I became far more interested in the character and immediately proceeded to pounce Deceit for a chance to RP with him. It's only happened recently...like...last month recently...and I was pleasantly surprised! Not only is the character realistic in its actions (I mean how many people can pull off a giant snake? Never mind doing so that well) but the personality was just as realistic. Conflicting thoughts and emotions on a situation, selfless acts, surprise, fear, concern, and natural animal instinct. Considering how BADLY this character could be played or GMed with, he was very much NOT. He was injured during the thread I was in with him, and couldn't automatically win over his enemies...he had a believably difficult time fighting the creatures against us...yet another bonus to the character.

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: There is a surprising amount of depth to a character that, for all appearances, is just a giant snake. I agree with Tal on how easy it could be for someone to GM such a character. The character has been played extremely well. He is a truly unique and layered character.

Reason for voting/example of why this character is awesome: Ekerin was one of the first characters I was involved in a thread with. That thread still hasn't gone beyond the first page as of now, but Ecky still just sticks in my head. There's just something about the little spaycfawks that makes me really like him.
