Alright, here we are, folks. This is the discussion/planning/OOC thread for the thread that will take place during the Supreme Chancellor's speech in the stadium.

The point of the thread, as you know, is that Supreme Chancellor Naaden will be giving a speech in a stadium on Druckenwell, in an effort to help drum up support for the war effort. The Sith will strike during the speech, in an attempt to assassinate her, and from there chaos breaks out.

So yeah. Here's a place to discuss ideas and whatnot, along with other chatter that might be related. Once I get the green light, I'll get the thread up.

I have an idea... let's have a double do the speech in person. But the Sith have planned for this (sorta like Vantage Point) and attack the bunker where the real Chancellor is hiding in with her Jedi protectors who try to evacuate her. Then again, the chaos of a stadium would be much more entertaining.

Hmm... not entirely sure I'm partial to that idea, Kuhblam. It takes away from all the excitement / suspense.

Hrm... I'm not really feeling that. Mainly because, in an event that's meant to be a sort of show of strength/rallying call, I think it would send a terrible message if the Chancellor was too afraid to appear in public, in Republic territory, no less, surrounded by Jedi and multiple layers of security. And yeah, I do think carnage in the stadium would be more entertaining >.>

Then again, some sort of shootout with Zarene (assuming sparrow would be up for it) might be interesting.... Maybe I'll have Locke cycle around the place >.> Surely it wouldn't be that hard in the chaos

So do you want Jazen to stick with the EXTREMELY important VIP, or am I to follow you against Dire or Sparrow? I'm good for anything, although I would prefer we go with the Paddy's sticking with the chancellor.

This way, imo, we could set up them having to work together to help protect the chancellor from incoming danger. This may or may not include one of our Sith buddies, that's up to them. Thats my two cents for now XD

Just saw that pic. I can already imagine Mandos or Sith troops jet-packing down from the roof and attacking security forces as the Sith appear in the stands Geonosis-style.

Are you guys sure it would be wise to have the padawans guard the chancellor? I mean... any one of the Sith could pretty much bat them outta the way like they were nothing. >_> It'd be smarter to have all the Jedi guard the chancellor, and the paddies be with their respective masters, perhaps? : P

Adara: They can guard the chancellor if they wish, I do not care.

I think the Master and Padawan teaming up on a Dark Jedi works. Qui Gon and Obi Wan, anyone? How about Obi Wan and Anakin? I think that makes the most sense in terms of past prescedent. Problem is, unless we find that master, it's going to be 2 MasterPadawan vs 2 Dark Jedi and then 1 Ta'lin Aijati against 2 Dark Jedi, and Ta'lin isn't even all that good. He's built to be an average Jedi, so can I haz backup plz? ^_^

Or maybe a droid provided by everyone's favorite warmonger legitimate businessman: Grigor Sark.

Well, the Master-Padawan duo would be cool, but I don't know if the Master would be willing to get chopped in half for the sake of the plot-line. So maybe not exactly Episode I style, but close enough.

Hey, Spork, we could probably use an NPC guard, especially if he/she gets killed by one side or the other. Raise the stakes, but on a little bit more intimate of a ground than PC played NPCS.

As for the double, while it's an interesting idea, Naaden is no Padme. She values her people. She cares deeply about her people. She feels a double is deception, and Naaden would never deceive her people. 'ppreciate the willingness to present ideas, though. :3

As for the Jedi master, if nothing else works, I could bring Roq in. I'm used to doing split posts, for two different chars, or I can just fill two spots in the posting order. I'd really prefer to avoid that, if I can, because it's much more interesting to have more and different people, but worse comes to worse, there's something can be done for the Jedi.

Also, the Padawans would stay with their masters -- on a protocol basis, at any rate. It'd make no sense to leave only Padawans with the Chancellor. In fact, I'd expect that the Master, whoever they end up being, would stay personally with the Chancellor, at all costs, until she is safely escorted out of the stadium.

Also, we could try putting up a request in teh NPC area to see if anyone wants to NPC a master-level Jedi and see who bites. I guess if push comes to shove, and no one responds/we can't see if Reg is interested, we could have Roq come along.

Meh, like said, I'm good for anything. Was just an idea. If we had some weaker Sith floating about and not Knight/Master level ones, the idea could have worked but I sees your points.
