{Alright, anyone that may come through to look at this, you can leave this be. I'm fine (y)}
Character Name: Locke Nemsee Character Source: Jedi- approved Character Faction/Alignment: Jedi, though a bit of a loose cannon Type of Roleplay: Eh, a little combat, a little dialogue, some of everything, I guess. Roleplay Requirements: Jedi master or a Jedi that is wiser than Locke, especially in regards to training padawans. Reason for Request: I haven't roleplayed in years, and I need to get the rust off before going into a thread. That and advice is always a good thing. Notes: None that I can think of at the moment. Roleplay: [I'd like the mentor to let me know who/what they'll be using, and then I'll think of a scenario. Or if the mentor thinks of a good scenario, that will work too.]
Edit: Actually, an idea has struck me. Since I have agreed to take on FZKnight's Jazen Solari (currently pending) as an apprentice for Locke, why not have him seek out a Jedi Master in the Temple for advice pertaining to training a padawan? I guess they could have a short sparring session after that so I can practice some combat writing. Sound good? Am I supposed to wait for some agreement before starting or do I just go?

Sounds good, I'll use my Jedi Councilman then, go ahead and start to post (just do it here) and I'll respond. If you wanna know about my character, his name is Ozzril Ackbar.

It was night on Coruscant. The air was cool, and a light breeze blew over the cityscape. Though it was night, the city did not sleep. Lights from hovercraft dotted the air around the massive buildings of the city and ships coming and going littered the sky. Locke Nemsee stood outside the Jedi Temple on one of the pedestals of one of the statues of the Four Masters that decorated the Processional Way. He leaned against the ankle of one of the Masters; he didn't know who, and he wasn't to concerned about it. He wore is robes, and the cloak his master had given him, the symbol of the Order embroidered on the back, flapped loosely about him. This was Locke's favorite place to be when he was troubled by something; he had lost track of how much time he spent here after he confronted the Trandoshan that ruined his family. He preferred the night because there were less Jedi about, and he could be alone to think.
Truth be told, Locke wasn't really in the greatest of moods. In fact, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to say that he was in a bad mood. He wasn't mad about anything, though. He was stressed, really. You see, a short time ago he had agreed to take on Jazen Solari, a young padawan who had been abandoned by his master, as his apprentice. At the time, he had been eager to take another under his wing and teach them more of the Force, but now he was having second thoughts. "I must not have been thinking when I said that," he said bitterly to no one in particular. Locke only talked to himself when he was in a very poor mood, and with the turmoil inside of him, a very poor mood could describe him perfectly.
"By the Force... 'Oh, I'll take him as an apprentice, Council. Don't worry, he'll be fine under me.' Never mind that I've never taught anyone anything. I'm used to working alone, why in the galaxy would I take on some kid I've never met before?" Locke ran his hand through his hair irritably. It was more unruly than usual, and his beard, which was usually kept trimmed short had grown out, and was starting to turn into a ragged mess. He wasn't one to usually let stress get to him, but when it did, it got to him. Aside from looking unkempt, he had been carrying himself differently. Locke usually moved with a brisk, somewhat cocky self-assurance. But as the date to meeting his new student grew closer, he had started to slouch more and more, and his usual friendly joking had turned decidedly bitter.
Locke looked up at the sky, watching starships come and go from the planet, wishing he could be on one of them. "What am I going to do? It's too late to back out now, but I'm walking into a fire blind." He shook his head in irritation. "I should think more before I jump into things like this." Locke was pulled out of his self-lamentation at a pull in the Force. Someone was approaching.
