A senator-napping!

Number Of People Wanted: 2-3 villains (bounty hunters/mercs/all-around hired bad guys)

Reason For Roleplay: Because her life just isn't exciting enough already, ahahaha. Nah... I just thought it'd be interesting to have her kidnapped, especially with little things I've been sprinkling here and there in threads with her.

Other: My thought is this would be somewhat similar to the plot in AOTC against Padme, except that I don't want Ina killed, just kidnapped away. And as for the motive, I'm not 100% sure, but it could be something like a vote in the Senate (like with the Padme situation) or it could just be some opposing senators who just don't like what she's trying to stir up with her 'silly' campaign to end slavery and have equality for all... the horrors!

And so these evil senators (for whatever reason I'll decide later) have hired mercs/bounty hunters/whomever'll do the job to kidnap her for a while to just send her a message (or keep her away from a vote, if we go that route). Maybe there'll be a fake ransom, I dunno.

Obviously she'll be rescued eventually, since I plan on her getting split from Ofi, her AER droid, by said Ofi and whomever Ofi can find. But I'll be asking for heroes later. Right now I just want to see if there's any interest in the villains side of the equation.

So if you think you have a character that would take a job involving kidnapping a deaf senator that is deemed a 'troublemaker' by other senators... come on in, and we'll see if we can get something going.

I have a deranged terrorist, but any capture he does would likely only be for the purposes of a videotaped beheading. And technically the UCC faction he's in isn't approved. But if no one else comes calling, it's better than nothing.

But anyway, I had a mini brainstorm over the weekend... and perhaps a change in plots for this plot. I have three possibles now:


One -- keep it all the same, as stated in the opening post.

Two -- her father is kidnapped instead, and she and Ofi (and maybe friends) go to rescue him.
[Her farther works in medical R&D on Arkania, and could probably be useful to many shady folks].

Three -- both Ina and her father are kidnapped... either he is kidnapped first, and she is later, to get her father to cooperate with whomever wants her father's talents... or vice versa.



Obviously the original idea would be the easiest, but the others could be a bit more interesting. Plus, there'd be more plausibility I think to capturing her father, than her.



Anyway.... still looking for a few candidates on the villain side.

I know you asked for villains. But I'd be willing to offer up my new Jedi Master, Rune Oki, for any rescue missions that might be undertaken. He's more of a negotiator type, unless there's a dark jedi or Sith involved.

I'll keep him in mind. Once I get the baddies signed on, I'll be switching over to find some good guys/rescuers.

Yeah, I doubt that whoever ends up being behind this would have hired Sith. ;p
But you could always put in an NPC, if you wanted to be involved.

'Cause I'm thinking that of the 2-3 guys that were hired, one of them would have to be 'in charge,' the other one or two sort of answering to the lead merc./bounty hunter. Because I'm assuming that the parties responsible would hire just the one guy, and that guy would then get a partner or two... they wouldn't be all independently hired.

And since your Jedi is a master... I'm guessing that we'd probably only need one more Jedi anyway. Or maybe a small squad of soldiers? I dunno. I mean, it's only a missing senator, and I'm not sure how many resources the Jedi and Republic would devote to finding her.

One or two more charries would be nice since there is going to be three baddies right? If it's just me, then yeah, a small squad would be good. But if we could get one or two more charries that would be awesome.
