Description/role:
The Crow's Eye is a modified Coulé-Class Starship operated by Sith Knight Zarene Yin. From the outside, it appears virtually identical to its stock counterpart. Inside, however, is quite a different story. The engines have been modified with military-grade components, giving the Crow's Eye impressive speed for its size.
In terms of armament, the Crow's Eye has 3 retractable double laser turrets, one on the dorsal side of the ship, the other two on the ventral port and starboard sides. This allows the ship to have a good fire coverage when engaging enemy craft. The turrets are fairly effective against light starfighters and other smaller targets, but lack the punch necessary to go toe to toe with heavy gunships or capital ships. So general practice is for the ship to retreat and outrun when it can't outgun, or better yet, detect the potential threat before it gets close enough to become a real one.
The craft's most distinguishing feature is its sophisticated sensor and communications system that have taken up most of the stock craft's cargo space, allowing for the ship to function as a mobile command center or listening post. Numerous tactical computers and holoscreens located in a central command room allow for the ship's crew to keep tabs on a battlefield, and send, receive, or intercept messages across numerous channels. The ship's sensors allow the Crow's Eye to detect enemy craft from far outside of enemy range, while a masking system makes the ship appear to casual scans as no more than a stock transport. Electronic countermeasures include a jamming system for disrupting tracking by enemy missiles.
All of these systems require a massive amount of power however. While the ship has traded cargo space for addition power systems, it does not possess enough to run all of the systems at full capacity, and so power often has to be rerouted between systems, depending on what is needed most.
The ship is highly automated, so that it can be piloted with only three crew members, although more will be needed for anything close to optimal performance.
The passenger area of the ship, compared to its stock counterpart, is fairly spartan, with enough room for a squad of Sith commandos and their equipment.
