1.) Ajunta pall...with out him.. there would be no sith..end off. 2.) Exar Kun... first jedi turned sith to create a double bladed lightsaber. 3.) Darth Maul ... because he was one of the best duelists to have ever existed. 4.) Revan.. best tactician and strategist to have lived in the SW universe.
i don't rate vaders apprentice..cos a.) he's not sith, he's a dark jedi and b.) sure he has all these crazy powers but he wouldn't stand a chance against Maul or revan if it were lightsaber only.

I've only read the first book so far, but Darth Bane has really become one of my favourites. Other than that I'm a bit of a Revan fanboy.

Revan was never truely a sith tho.. it was a mean to an end..to strethgen the republic. Yes he did fall to the dark side, but only to make the republic see its complacentcy or how ever you spell it.

He may not have been a "Sith" based on only being trained by a Dark Jedi, but he became a Sith. The Trayus Academy was an Ancient Sith stronghold of long forgotten Sith teachings. THAT is where Revan got his Sith training.

he used teachings of the sith yes, but never took them for his own. you could say Revan was better than both the jedi and sith. he used the best of both and sort of made his own philosophy. but it is open to interpretation.

In order, and why: Palpatine - He is the embodiment of what it means to be Sith. Treya - She was the perfect example of the Sith mindset of Social Darwinism and Machiavellian ideals. Maul - He showed us what a Sith overcome by his emotions was capable of. Vader - He showed us the price one pays for falling.

1. Darth Revan- I don't have a reason
2. Darth Tyranis- He shows how one can intend and truly try to do good, and still become as sinister as a demon.
3. Darth Nihlius (sp?)- He shows what the dark side is, power, great power, that not only destroys your foes, but destroys you in the process.

Palpatine- is so fun to quote, just throw a piece of cloth over your head and start jabbing gang signs at people while cackling.
Galen Merek- maybe not a sith, but gotta love a true force recking ball!

1. Darth Sidious/Palpatine - Awesome quotes, insane lightsaber dueling skills, incredible cunning, BEST SITH EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2. Darth Revan - He's just awesome. 3. Darth Maul - You've got to love the double lightsaber. He's also one of the best parts of The Phantom Menace (honestly, he gets that just by not being a gungan) 4. Darth Vader - What's not to like about him? 5. Galen Marek - Just by playing the demo I know that he's awesome. 6. Darth Sion- He's a zombie! 7. Darth Traya - Her boss battle in KOTOR II is actually pretty challenging if you don't play as a Jedi Guardian/Sith Marauder/Jedi Weaponmaster. So this makes her stronger than any of the other KOTOR sith lords (other than Revan). She was also pretty good at manipulating others. 8. Darth Nihilus - A good concept for a sith lord, but poorly executed. Also not that strong. 9. Count Dooku - I can't think of many more sith lords. 10. Darth Malak - The only other sith lord I can think of.

In no particular order:
-Revan, for reasons others have stated. -Palpatine, cuz he manipulated the Republic against itself until he was able to declare his Empire openly and to riotious applause. -Kreia, because if you look at her motivations (she wanted a galaxy without the Force, or at least one where the will of the Force wasn't what drove everything), she was actually pretty cool. And she was one hell of a manipulator. -Sion, cuz what's not to love about a fellow who can regenerate as he likes and lives through sheer, malicious, spiteful force of will alone? -Naga Sadow, cuz he was one of the first, and most powerful, of the Sith Alchemists. -Vader, cuz he's the classic. -Maul, cuz he was just badass even if he did get owned by a Padawan. -Dooku, cuz he's suave and charismatic, a perfect gentleman Sith.
That's my list.
