Glass shattered against the bar wall. The sound was loud and jarring, silence falling over the bar. Only the music for a brief moment could be heard, blasting through the speakers all about the room.
“Come on, chica! Hit me!” Came a shrill voice from the far corner of the room. The people within the bar turned about, obviously staring. A twi’lek woman was standing, a wet ring on the table where her drink had been moments before. Too her opposite was a human woman, propped up sideways on a large chair, making her much taller than the rest of the patrons. Carved into the wooden throne was an ornate name; ‘Quix.’
The blonde woman, lounging in her chair seemed to be the picture of relaxation. A sleepy smile across her face as she watched the green skinned smuggler before her shake with fury. Much to the surprise of the openly staring patrons, it wasn’t the visibly angered Twi’lek who had issued the challenge.
“Come on, what are you waiting for, schutta? You wanna fight me then lets go!” Kailani barked, twisting around in her monstrous seat before hopping down on booted feet. The blonde woman was far from an imposing figure at first glance. The scruffy black jacket about her was much too large, as were her pants, though the shirt, if it could even be called that, was so ripped and threadbare most of the female patrons wondered how it stayed together, the males were more concerned with what it revealed than anything else.
Landing on the floor with a thud, Kailani grabbed own glass taking a long sip before slamming it back to the table with a bang. In a flash the table was skittering across the floor with another crash and a bang, the glass that had been on it moments before shattered at the Twi’lek’s feet. With surprising quickness Kailani was in her face, staring down the slightly taller woman.
“Go ahead, hit me. Hit me!” Kailani shouted. The smuggler shook with anger, the bar now circling around the two women chanting “Fight, fight, fight, fight!” The music has cut off a while before, they knew the routine, they knew the outcome. Credits were out, bets being taken. And yet the Twi’lek kept on shaking, her eyes glaring with pure fury. Turning around Kailani consulted the crowd. “Looks like she doesn’t have the balls for it, boys! All talk, none of the walk!” She smiled, basking in the catcalls and shouted threats.
When the fist hit her face, it almost surprised her. Almost. Staggering for a moment, Kailani held a pale hand to her lip, gently dabbing the wetness. A glance at her fingers confirmed it, blood. Wiping her lip with her hand, the blonde smiled. “Not bad, schutta…. Not bad.” Shaking her head she laughed deeply, the crowd howling. With unexpected quickness Kailani dived at her. It only took one punch. Her studded gloved hand connected with the other woman’s jaw, hitting the infamous knock out button. The smuggler crumpled to the ground and the bar erupted into screams. Credits exchanged between the people.
“Not good enough though.” The pirate woman said before spitting a glob of saliva onto the unconscious woman’s cheek. Circling, Kailani picked up the credits that lay unclaimed at her feet, the victors spoils. For good measure she raided the Twi’lek’s pockets before the gentlemen roughly picked up the woman and carried her off.
Heading back to her chair, she smiled the music was back and the people laughed and partied. “Somebody, buy me a drink!” She shouted, and once more the crowded room howled and the booze flowed like water.

Though evening was falling, the life all around the Coruscant didn't show any signs of slowing down. No, to one that looked for the kind of things that Asyr did, the setting of the sun meant that things were only just getting started.
It had been quite a while since he'd visited the city planet. His first trip to the world hadn't been on the best of circumstances, but things hadn't been all bad, looking back. Not all bad at all, he thought with a little smirk.
Times were better now, though. The Bohemian was stopped here for a little while, and the Echani, finding himself with some free time, decided to go have a bit of fun. Get some good drinks, find a pretty lady to sit on my knee... He chuckled softly. The first part would be simple enough; he was going to search out one of his favorite old haunts from his previous times on Coruscant. It was a good, loose place, with great atmosphere. Of course, great atmosphere for a pirate meant the place was rowdy. Loud. Prone to fights breaking out. He loved it. The second part of his plans for the night usually came with the first.
And, best of all, Flitch was back on the ship. Asyr liked the little guy, but these weren't the sorts of trips were he necessarily wanted him around. He'd be fine; most of the crew would be out raiding some bar or multiple bars, if he knew the pirates of the Bohemian.
He turned a corner, and there, near another corner a little down the way, was his destination. Bennigan's, it was called. No one knew who Bennigan was, or if there ever had been a Bennigan, but it didn't matter, not as long as the booze kept flowing.
Asyr stuck his hands into the pockets of his long red coat as he strolled along, humming tunelessly under his breath. His sleeves, both of the coat and of the close-fitting black shirt beneath were rolled up to his elbows. Other than the pistol and two knives at his hip, hidden slightly by his coat, he was unarmed. Well, he had his body too. It was the usual fare for trips to places like these, where fights were nearly guaranteed to break out.
As he stepped into the doorway, he heard a glass shatter. Already? That's a record. Gazing in through the light haze of smoke, he saw a Twi'lek, who was being confronted by some Human-looking woman. The latter got a low whistle from him. He didn't know how that shirt--if it could even be called that--she was wearing stayed together, but he didn't care. If only more women dressed like her. The Galaxy would such a better place.
The fight was between the two of them, Human and Twi'lek. Asyr watched with interest, for more than one reason, and his brows lifted slightly when the blonde human knocked the Twi'lek out cold. That strike to the jaw hadn't been a fluke, not to his trained eye. Looks good and she knows what she's doing.
He chuckled and started to walk into the bar as the music resumed and the crowd went back to their business. The woman, however, went to some... extraordinarily large chair. Interesting... As he neared the thing, which nearly looked to be a throne of some sort, he spotted the word 'Quix' carved into it. Even more interesting.
Chairs were scattered around near the woman's throne, though the recent fight had left the area without a table. A few waiters were over on the other side of the room, picking the thing up from where it'd been kicked. Asyr sauntered over and took one next to her for himself. "That was impressive," he said, flashing her a boyish grin. "Not often I see a looker with skills like that."
A person drawing near his shoulder caught his attention and he looked up to see a waiter. "Got a table comin' back over he-" The man stopped and then squinted. Asyr furrowed his brow. The man looked familiar... "Asyr?"
"Jyrod?" Asyr blinked, then laughed, giving the man a friendly punch to the forearm. "What are you still doin' here? I thought you found some 'real job' that was gonna get you rich?"
"Look, sometime's stuff don't work out, alright?" Jyrod chuckled. "So I'm back here again. An' I won' trade it fer half the things in the world, ya hear?" He shook his head, amused, and stepped to the side as a trio of waiters came to set the table back where it belonged. "Anyway, what'll ya have?"
"Do you even have to ask?" Asyr answered, chuckling as he swung his legs up onto the table. He leaned back, crossing one booted foot over the other. "Corellian ale, with two of whatever she," he looked back to the woman sitting in her enormous chair and flashed a grin, "wants. Make it fast, though, or she might kick your ass too, eh?"
Once that was all done, he looked back to the blonde, chuckling. "Name's Asyr, by the way. Can't say I caught yours. You a regular here?"

Coruscant; the planet that never sleeps they called it. And that wasn't just baseless speculation or a rumor, it was based off good facts. Though night had fallen over the planet, the constant light from speeders and the numerous lit building gave the planet an almost secondary glow from both the sky and the ground. While the politicians, day workers and good old everyday folks of the galaxy wen to rest, their more wicked counterparts came out to play. Oh and of course, your average night party goers that went looking for a stiff drink and a good time. Like he was today.
Though he'd been away from the planet for a short while now, Shine never forgot where all the best places to haunt for such a thing were. It was how they said, you never really forgot the places where you had such fond memories. And since his memories of those places included a good drink, a hearty time and always amusing company, being away from them for a while was certainty not going to make him forgot. A slight wind picked up around him as he exited the ship, a slight chill to the coming night. Pulling his dark coat around him, Shine thumped down the Cat's landing ramp out into the slightly darkening night, his destination to be seen.
He'd asked if Vis or Whiskey would like to join him for the good time he hoped to have, but both had declined. Whiskey wasn't much one for social events like this and had opted to remain behind to handle her own devices. Vis, while the possibility of exploring such a massive and awe inspiring world was never lost on his little droid friend, said he needed to shut down and recharge for a while. Not having their company would not be a loss for Shine; he was likely going to be finding plenty soon enough. Though he did wish Whiskey had decided to come....that might have been amusing to see.
It didn't take him long to find a place to put up his boots. As he maneuvered those dark and yet ever so alive streets, a loud hoot came from an establishment as he passed it, prompting him to stop and glance over. Bennigan's....ah yes, he remembered this place. Decent service, the normal crowd full of gossipers and folks enjoying life to its fullest. It was as good as place as any to grab a drink and maybe a story or two. And of course, there would be plenty of folks that a spacer like him could relate to and enjoy a very good time over a good drink. Grinning, he slid his hands into his pockets and made his way towards the door. His blaster tapped against his hip in its holster, something he never left the Cat without, a knife or two slid carefully into his boots and another at his waist. Let's be honest, it may have been the seat of Republic power and law in the galaxy but who would be fool enough to go walking around Coruscant at night without some insurance for their safety on hand? Not him, that was for sure.
A few minutes later, Shine had a drink in hand, a seat that gave him a good clear view of his surroundings and a wide grin already lining his face. The mood was good tonight and cheers to everyone came quick and often. And before he could even finish his first drink, someone decided to make the night even more interesting. The tell tale of a fight about to go down echoed throughout the place as a glass shattered, a woman's voice breaking through the cheers to guide everyone's attention to its source.
Shine had to stand and shuffle his way through the crowd to see what was going on, though the chants of "fight fight fight" gave him a pretty good idea of what was waiting behind that wall of people. And surely enough, there stood two woman, one human, one a Twi'lek, glaring each other down, the human woman tossing taunts to her female counterpart. Shine almost had to double take the woman's attire when he saw it, the clothes torn, ripped and showing off enough to make a decent woman blush. Well I seemed to have picked a winner on my first try. Lady knows how to draw a crowd too. As the woman turned to signal to the crowd about her foe, Shine saw the Twi'lek girl make her move....and connect with a fist to the face. Cocky too.....
The woman didn't take long to respond and with one good clean hit, she knocked the Twi'lek right back with a blow of her own...a one hit ko to the jaw that flopped her opponent flat out on her back. Shine didn't even need to look twice to know that the woman had gone into la-la land; the move was basic combat one o one. Cheers, hoots and cussing followed the hit, patrons passing bets among each other. Shine couldn't help but chuckle as the woman found her way back to a massive chair of her own, his eyes following her before returning to the crowd as it dispersed in order to avoid getting bowled over. That's when he noticed a familiar red coat and white hair....and he didn't even need to double take him to know who it was. Oh look at this.....I really did pick the right place to hit tonight.
It was Asyr, in all his shining glory. He remembered meeting the man back on Rodia, during that whole hostage crisis thing. They hadn't always seen eye to eye during the event, but had managed to create something of a minor friendship, both over their jobs, likeness and the little droids they both had the honor of having. He wasn't a bad man; just one that would rather look out for himself then others unless those others were his mates. Shine could respect that to some degree, but it was the one thing Shine probably didn't have in common with the man. That and his like for smoking....bah that was a nasty habit.
It didnt' take long for Asyr to make his way over to the woman' side, taking a seat beside her while he answered her call for a drink. Grabbing another drink on his way over, he managed to get close enough just in time to hear Asyr speaking about a looker with skills. The line made Shine chuckle to himself. A looker with skills.....what are the odds of meeting another one so soon? It took him a moment more to manage his way past the patrons around him and when he arrived, he dropped to the woman's side, dropping his voice just enough so that only her and Asyr would hear it. "He means when he's not looking into a mirror of course." Shine gave a wide grin to the both of them before stepping back to sit on the opposite side of the newly brought table, bowing his head lightly.
"Good to see you again Asyr. Small world right? And I see you still keep interesting company; you must tell me your secret." Smiling, he watched as the waiters brought the drinks for Asyr and the woman, before continuing. "Ah, Corellian ale Asyr? You have good taste; though the whiskey from home is pretty good too. Shine Albatros at your service by the way miss; I hope you don't mind if I join your party for a drink or two and for idle banter?"

Kailani wasn’t in her seat for more than a few seconds, propped up in the throne in a rather unlady like position as she counted her credits before she got her first offer. Glancing up for a moment she continued her counting, her eyes only falling over Asyr for a second. They glittered in that moment though, the emerald eyes almost laughing at him before flickering back to the credits in hand.
She finished her counting as he spoke with an old friend, the waiter on hard times it seems. Tucking the nice pile of credits in between the scraps of cloth of her shirt and into her clearly visible brassiere she straightened up and completed his order.
“Ale.” Her voice was less shrill when she wasn’t yelling, soft even. Running her tongue over her lips, Kai wondered aloud.
“Hows’ my lip look? Not too trashed, right?” Her eyes darting back down the Asyr, her tongue lingering over the part where the flesh had split, red and raw. And then, another gentleman joined them. This one too ordered a Corellian ale, and seemed to recognize the white haired guy. How fun, maybe things could get really interesting.
“Where are my manners? I’m the woman formerly known as Cap’n Kailani Quix, pleasure to meet you boys. Feel free to join me.” She said motioning to table that was placed quietly in front of her and the smaller chairs littered about her massive one. “Plenty of room, I’ll warn ya though, I nevah buy my own drinks.” Crossing one leg over the other she smiled at the two men, considering how she should approach this. Maybe give them both a chance to make their claim. Who knows maybe there would be another fight!
“So tell me, since you two know each other here, which one of you will be giving me a ride home tonight?” A white blonde eyebrow raised she resting her face into her palm, still gently tapping the tip of her tongue against her lip. Of course the question had nothing to do with the pair knowing each other, but how could she resist such a setup? It was too perfect. Plus, both of the males were such… Impressive specimens.

“How's my lip look? Not too trashed, right?”
Asyr looked back to the blonde woman at the sound of her question, and his eyes lingered there for a moment on... well on a number of things, really. But the way she toyed with her tongue like that, and those clothes... Hey, steady Asyr, he told himself. Need your blood in your brain for a little bit. "Naw," he said with a little chuckle, giving her a flash of a little smile before leaning back in his seat, "Just a little cracked. It looks just fine to me." And oh, did it ever!
A familiar voice sounded nearby. Asyr looked over to see none other than Shine coming over to take a seat, drink in hand. "Well, wouldja lookie there!" He called out to the smuggler, laughing. "And here I thought I'd never see you again, Albartos." He remembered Shine back from Rodia, when they'd both been trapped after some terrorists decided to raid an embassy they'd been in at the time. Not the best of circumstances to meet under, but they'd gotten out of it alright. Even developed a working sort of friendship in the process.
"Good to see you're still alive, Shine," he said, looking at the other man over the tips of his boots, propped up on the table as they were. "Hope life's been treatin' ya well lately."
"An' here we are," Jyrod said, arriving with the three drinks. He set them down near their respective drinkers; a single ale to start for Asyr, with two more for the woman, as she'd ordered. Asyr flicked the man his credits and Jyrod bowed away to see to the other patrons.
"Aye it's good," Asyr said to Shine as he took a great swig of his ale, "but, I think tonight's an ale night."
“Where are my manners? I’m the woman formerly known as Cap’n Kailani Quix, pleasure to meet you boys. Feel free to join me.”
Formerly known as a captain? It was an interesting thought, one Asyr stored away in his mind for later. Leaning forward to set his mug back down on the table, Asyr looked up and met those lovely green eyes again and smiled. "Pleasure, Kailani. Asyr Yevor." Chuckling as he gave her warning, he shook his head slightly and leaned back into his seat. "Well, lucky for you, I don't think that'll be a problem for a pretty little thing like you, eh? You just keep on lookin' good and the drinks'll keep on comin'."
Not forgetting about his smuggler friend, he turned back to Shine, and was nearly about to ask him about his familiar when he heard Kailani speak again.
“So tell me, since you two know each other here, which one of you will be giving me a ride home tonight?”
And then his attention went back to her. I think I might like her more than I thought. A little grin started to grow on his face, a soft chuckle sounded his throat. "D'ya even need to ask? I will, of course."
Even though his tone was still friendly and conversational, he said it surely. Not challengingly toward Shine, but it would be clear that he was quite confident in what he was saying; it was simply a statement of fact. He looked to Kailana, letting his gaze drift her form for a moment and not making much of an effort to hide it, before meeting her eyes emerald eyes with his pale silver-blue. As he looked to her, he gave her a charming little smile. It wasn't an overt thing, though; it was subtle, and purposefully so, but it was there. And then he leaned back in his seat, looking to his mug of ale as he reached to grab it.
"Yes, I think I'll take you home with me, Kailani," he went on, "where there enough drinks for you to go to town as much as you want." It was a bit of an exaggeration, but not much of one at all; pirates drank a lot. He paused to drink from his mug and chuckled before looking up to her with a devilish little grin. "Where the beds are soft and the sheets are warm..."
He drank from his mug again, letting the words hang. There was little doubt in his mind that they knew what he meant, but they were all grown. And if Kailani wanted to play this sort of game, well then, he'd be more than happy to oblige her.

"Well, wouldja lookie there!" And here I thought I'd never see you again, Albartos."
Shine chuckled at his greeting, folding his arms on laying them on the table as he glanced between the two of them. He found himself lingering a little more on her, that was to be expected, but he had enough of a brain to remember common respect. True, she was more appealing to look at, but Shine didn't snuff people that were part of the conversation over something like that. Even if those clothes gave him some ideas...... Okay brain, time to tune yourself towards speaking, day dreaming can wait.
"The same could be said to you Asyr; I figured you'd be on the far end of the galaxy doing what you do best. Though I'm not gonna argue this, I was just looking for someone of a like mind to enjoy a drink or two with."
At Asyr's next statement though, he had to keep himself from laughing aloud, opting to take a swig of the drink in his hand before he answered. Indeed, life had been treating him well...after tossing him some pretty nasty twists and turns before he found that yellow brick road again. Down had been the pace he'd been going until Tatooine, where that road finally decided to appear through the mists and let Shine along its golden path. Since then, he'd gotten a better ship, a new lady mate as a companion and had tacked up some jobs that had earned him a pretty credit and were so easy he thought he'd been dreaming them.
"Yes, despite the galaxies best attempts, I'm still breathing for all to see. As for how I've been, let's just say I'm beat up some here, beat up some there but I mushed on and now am probably enjoying some of the best days of my young life. Though I'm sure something will come along to either spoil it" he said, winking at Kailani, " or make it even better."
The waiter returned then with their drinks, the man who Asyr had been talking to earlier. An old friend most likely and before he turned to leave, Shine patted him lightly and asked for him to bring another few rounds of whiskey with him. As the man wandered off to aid others before he would return to attend to Shine, the woman finally introduced herself. Formerly known as Cap'n Kailani Quix.....now that had several ways it could be read. Was she a captain in the military before being expelled or left of her own accord? Or did she mean she was a captain of her own ship, like Shine was and that something had happened to take that away? Too much thinking, best to keep on talking and let the answers find their way out on their own.
" A pleasure indeed Kailani, though I'm sure its to our pleasure more than yours. Hopefully you can put up with some rugged spacers for a little while." His tone was playful more than serious, a simple joke that played credit to her stunning form. What could he say, Corellian blood seemed to cause those with it to make small jokes while they talked. Another laugh slipped from Shine at the following comments from either of them, spinning the glass before him around before finishing it off in one smooth motion. "If I look pretty too Asyr, will you buy me drinks as well? Nah, I'm kidding with you, but at least let me be a sport and let me pay for some of them. Just got some decent cash in and I don't mind spending it on a cause as worthy as keeping a lady happy."
Shine's eyebrow rose at the Kailani's next question....one that he'd heard many a girl in a bar toss to the men buying for her. Ah, did he know where that lead....in most cases to a good show as drunk men fought one other over the lady who either left with the one smart enough to sneak her away or left entirely while the men were left with bruised bodies and empty pockets. Now, he wasn't going to judge her based on that memory; she seemed nice enough to at least be one that would stick around till the end. Asyr was first to answer though, so Shine waited till he was done before taking his turn.
"Well yeesh, don't give a guy a chance to answer why don't you? But hey, I've got plenty of drinks and a soft bed and all that and would gladly take you home, or to my place or to whichever place you need to go." He glanced to Asyr, the man's intent as obvious as his was, but it wasn't like Asyr had hidden it, so why would Shine? Besides, considering the situation, there was only one way that matter was going to be solved...and that's why Shine turned his eyes back on Kailani..on her green eyes with his golden ones. Okay, so his eyes lingered a little south of that for a bit longer then was polite. But Kailani didn't seem to be one who minded that; at least that's what her attire cleanly said.
"I guess you'll just have to decide which of us gets to take you home Kailani, or we'll be sleeping here tonight. Cause I don't know what Asyr is thinking about but I'm sure neither of us would yield a chance to speak to you...in a more private manner.
But, let's worry about who's taking whom where for a time closer to that. We came here to drink and be merry and banter am I right? So let's field the banter; Asyr, where is that ever so cheery robo mate of yours? Did you leave him to play on his own for a while like I did?
And if I may ask Ms Kailani, you said former Captain. Captain in the service or captain of a bread and butter ship to fly at your leisure?" Questions to both of them but that's how he was going to get this conversation going...and how he might gain more insight into the new friend he might be making.

"D'ya even need to ask? I will, of course."
A smile lingered over Kai’s face as she listened, face resting gently in her palm as she pulled the sweating glass of ale to her lips. Taking a deep sip of the amber liquid she listened eyes closed as he continued
“Yes, I think I'll take you home with me, Kailani, where there enough drinks for you to go to town as much as you want. Where the beds are soft and the sheets are warm..." Setting the drink down her eyes popped open, taking in Asyr’s smirk as it morphed into a full forced grin. Trying to hold back her own smile, Kailani directed her attention to Shine, awaiting his rebuttal. Her hands reached for the drink she had set down on the table, leaning far over from her throne to reach it. One of the bad things about sitting higher than the others, you always had to lean over further to grab your drink. Sure, she could place the drink on one of the massive arms of the chair, but one doesn’t get free booze like that.
"Well yeesh, don't give a guy a chance to answer why don't you? But hey, I've got plenty of drinks and a soft bed and all that and would gladly take you home, or to my place or to whichever place you need to go." Kailani kept her full attention on Shine as he spoke, his golden eyes on Asyr before suddenly flicking back towards hers. Such a unique coloring. Her eyes for a second went back to Asyr, looking him long in the eye before turning back. Both of them had such lovely eyes. Molten gold and crushed glass.
"I guess you'll just have to decide which of us gets to take you home Kailani, or we'll be sleeping here tonight. Cause I don't know what Asyr is thinking about but I'm sure neither of us would yield a chance to speak to you...in a more private manner.
Kai couldn’t suppress a giggle as Shine, though obviously interested didn’t seem interested in this game. Laughing heartily, the white-blonde woman tucked a loose curl behind her ear before placing her mug back down on the table, eyes flickering back and forth between the two gentlemen. No, she wasn’t sure who she’d pick between the two. Or if she would at all, though she always did love the dance. Innuendos and knowing glances, drinks one after the other. Who needed courtship when one could play the game? Find a little fun and satisfaction and start anew the next night. No, no need for courtship here.
And if I may ask Ms Kailani, you said former Captain. Captain in the service or captain of a bread and butter ship to fly at your leisure?"
Kailani leaned back in her chair, twisting so that she could lounge once more, feet propped up on the monstrous arm of the throne. She smiled brightly, oh how she loved a good story.
“The latter I’m afraid, the service was never really looking for anyone quite like me. I was, until a month or so ago the Captain of a nice little vessel known as The Bloody Hand.” She paused for a moment, a dreamy look falling over her fair face. Taking a single finger and pressing it against her lips she contemplated for a moment. How would she approach this? Looking back at the two men she said softly. “Can you boys keep a secret? I’m feeling honest tonight, and I’d rather not hear about this from the barkeep in the morning.” Kailani smiled brightly, not even waiting for their response.
“I lost the ship, gambling like a fool. Couldn’t help it really, we needed the money , the stakes were high, I was on a winning streak.” Green eyes stared off into space as she spoke, remembering the game she had lost the ship in. She imagined the look on Drake’s face as she told the story. It was amused, but disappointed. He always had that dipnuts smirk when he knew she f**ked up. Coming back to reality she face the boys.
“But, you can’t help but a little foolish sometimes. I was a terrible Cap’n anyway. Probably better off. Now, why don’t you gentlemen tell me what it is exactly you do? Other than buying drinks for lovely ladies in old dives?”

"Well you know how it is, Shine," Asyr said, downing some more of his ale as he chuckled at his friend's quip about not letting him get a word in. "You find someone you want, you go for them." He grinned over the man over the top of his mug and then flashed a smile to Kailani. "Play the game to win, y'know?"
Nothing personal, he added silently, drinking again as Shine had his say to the lovely specimen they were both so clearly trying to woo, but, it comes down to one of us gettin' her, I'm gonna do whatever it takes. It wouldn't be any different for anyone else, and he doubted Shine's goals were much different than his own.
"Asyr, where is that ever so cheery robo mate of yours? Did you leave him to play on his own for a while like I did?"
Asyr chuckled. "Yeah, he's back on the ship. And he's about the same as the last time you saw 'im," he said, setting the mug back down on the table. "Wouldn't know a joke if it bit him the ass, but one day, one day, I'll get him to understand them. If it's the death of me." With a laugh, he looked to each of them in turn, grinning. "And hell, with the kind of life I live, it might just be. How's Vis been? Still the little ball of energy? Compared to Flitch, anyway."
Then he looked to Kailani when she spoke, answering Shine's question. He nodded, and he truly listened to her words, but he found that his eyes kept drifting of her face...
"Well that sucks," he said, letting his eyes drift back to hers when she'd finished talking. A captain without a ship. Interesting. And if she ran a ship of her own... And idea was starting for form in his mind. The woman was obviously skilled, if that fight was anything to go by, and while she might not have been the best captain, she probably knew her way around a ship. We are still recruiting...
"I knew a captain that lost his ship once," he went on, leaning back in his seat and adjusting his legs on the table slightly, "felt terrible for the guy." He knew two actually, but he wasn't going to speak on the captain of his first crew. Not like that. He'd been a good captain; the second had not.
He also neglected to mention that when the second captain lost his ship it was in a mutiny that left him laying face down on the ground in a pool of his own blood.
"Now, why don’t you gentlemen tell me what it is exactly you do? Other than buying drinks for lovely ladies in old dives?”
Asyr laughed at that. "My dear Kailani," he said, meeting her eyes and giving a lecherous little grin, "I do far more for lovely ladies than simply buy them drinks. After all," he leaned forward in his seat and grabbed a drink from his mug, "I'm not above ending a good night out with some fun, if the lady's lovely enough, as you are." Giving her another little look, he settled back and steepled his fingers.
"But as for my work, well," he'd have to word it carefully. He didn't go screaming that he was a pirate to everyone; he hadn't even told Shine yet, not truly. "I work for a certain enterprising individual. We travel the Galaxy, and I keep contact with some people, make deals with others. And, when a deal comes down the pipe, we take care of it to make sure it works out for both parties involved." He chuckled under his breath. "Usually involves picking up some goods and moving them to where they need to go. We keep a cut for ourselves, of course." There. Make it sound like he was a smuggler, which wasn't entirely untrue; he'd told no lies. He simply hadn't given a whole truth, either.
"In fact," he went on, "if a lovely lady such as yourself needs a place to stay and some good cash in her pockets, well" he looked to her, still not bothering to hide his interest in her, and gave her that boyish grin again, "I think I might just have an offer for you. But, we can discuss that later, don't you think? When we're somewhere more... private."

Shine was picking off another couple of glasses when Asyr first responded to him, flipping the man the needed credits to pay for them. Actually, he flipped him more credits then he needed to, but that was because Shine was already paying for the next round of drinks he asked the man to drink. He had a feeling this night was just beginning, so getting a leg up on the next set of drinks would save some time. And allow him to focus better on the conversation and battle of the flirts he was about to have with Asyr. He had to admit, he had nothing against the man he had formed a bond in battle with...but he wasn't going to let a good time slip him by that easily. Lord knows he needed something to enjoy before the galaxy bit him in his shiny behind.
With that in mind, he turned his head back to watch the other two, chuckling at Asyr's first comment. "Believe me, I know that all to well. But hey, at least give me a sporting chance mate or the game's no fun." Taking his newly paid for drink in hand, he downed a sip of it before putting the empty glass on his finger and grinning at them both, he spun the glass on the tip of his finger for a moment, perfect balance, before dropping and planting it on the table. He winked at Kailani after he did, then handed the glass to a passing waiter who simply nodded and continued on his way, Shine turned his attention back to the answering Asyr.
"Well, I'm glad to hear that. Though if you want to teach him a joke, ever considered taking him out to a comedy night? Sure he'd pick something up from that....or you know, any bar up and down the road would work as well!" A beaming grin followed his comment before he leaned back in his seat, stretching his arms before settling back with his drink as Asyr folded his own question to him.
How's Vis been? Still the little ball of energy? Compared to Flitch, anyway."
"So long as he's got something to fiddle with his hands and I warn him of company coming so he doesn't dump a circuit when he sees them, he's as active as ever. Would have brought him with me to be honest but he needed to recharge. Good thing now that I think about it; if he's recharging, he won't disturb...well, anyone else's fun." His eyes drifted to Kailiani for a moment, almost copying Asyr in giving her a friendly but suggestive grin, before locking his golden eyes on her green ones to listen to her response to his question.
Shine actually rose an eyebrow at her response to his question. True, he'd only given two possible paths that she could answer with the possibility of a third unknown answer...but to hear that she'd been the captain of her own ship he had not expected. He visibly winced when she told them she'd lost it in a game of cards. Not the way anybody should lose a ship they captained. Shine nodded almost solemnly in response, waited patiently for Asyr to speak his peace, then tipped his glass to the sky.
"Tears at my heart to hear you lost your ship like that. I know you've probably heard that before, but from one captain to another, let me say that I can understand how much that had to hurt." He wasn't going to admit that she had been foolish to bet the ship needing money or not; he'd bet the skin off his back before he let someone take the Cat away from him. But then, not everyone was as "blessed" as he was in managing a fine line between good luck and bad. "Well, maybe you'll see her again someday and win her back; lady luck is usually never that cruel."
And thus came the most obvious question of the night; what they did. Asyr was on top of the question of course, but this time Shine nodded to him to take the lead. Truth be told, Shine was as interested as Kailani was in what Asyr did. They hadn't really gotten into each others chosen professions last time and now was a good chance for some insight into it. The first part of his answer had Shine almost doubling over...simply at how much he'd predicted something like that coming. Lord knows they'd been slipping in their attempts to charm the lady their way...and Asyr had fielded a good one. After that though, he actually went into what he really did...or a simplified version of it. For the most part, it sounded like the life of a smuggler...but that line about keeping a cut for themselves....that spoke a different tone. Oh my....could the man in shining muscles be the dirty version of a smuggler, the accursed pirate? Well, that would explain a few things....
After another few lines of active flirting and suggestive words to Kailani, Asyr finally closed down and left the table open for Shine to speak. Raising his eyebrow again, he sipped on his drink before letting his own answer escape from him. "Asyr, you never told me you were into the same kind of business as me! I too do more for ladies then a simple round of drinks; sometimes its dinner, other times its a joy "ride". And I agree with my good friend here, I'm not above those fun times with such an awe inspiring beauty like the one that's blinding me with pearly white teeth.
But as for what my real job is, its rather simple. I'm into the transport business,. You need something taken from world to world, I'm your man. I'll get in there in record time and for always a decent price....a price that is open to negotiation depending on what the customer wants done or brings to the table. But anyway....that's more or less what I do. Give me a destination, a time it needs to be there, I'll be there with time to spare. Even got my own ship to do it, the Black Cat. She's as pretty as her name and just as mean but she's always got room for guests who need a place to crash.
Heck, if Asyr here hadn't beat me to it, I'd say my business could always use another helper. So if you'd like to have some options, I'd be more then willing to talk work in, as Asyr said, a more private setting. A close inspection of a fine vessel perhaps."
The waiter was just returning as Shine finished, sipping down the last of his whiskey....when the idea hit him. He didn't even know where it came from really, only that he heard a familiar clatter at the table behind him, looked over his shoulder a bit and heard the man behind him say "double ones, drink the shot." A mischievous smirk slid across his features and he turned back to look at the both of them, reaching his hand down into his pocket and placing his closed hand on the table.
"I've got an idea, if you two really want to have some fun. I assume you know what this is." Opening his hand to them, two block shaped dice...one red, one blue, rolled onto the table just short of his hand. "I assume from your looks that you do. So I'll make this simple. Waiter, bring me three bottles. One whiskey, one ale and one rum. Make it quick mate, before the lady gets her giggles from something else. Anyway, the idea is simple; we each take turns rolling the dice, me first, then Kailani, then you Asyr. An odd number means we put a credit in the pot. Even means we get to take a credit from the pot. Now...the fun stuff. If me or Asyr get a seven, we get a little smooch from Kailani, you get a seven Kailani, we either have to down two shots or give you a smooch, its up to you. Now, any of us get twelve, whatever is in the pot is ours. And.....if we get doubles of anything other than sixes, we have to remove an article of clothing and take a shot of something.
Following me? Good. So.....if your in, my roll is first." The dice were swooped up into his hand as the waiter returned with the three offending bottles, Shine grinning from behind them and dropping the dice to the table before him....two fours. He almost winced yet a laugh came instead. Taking off his jacket, he placed it down on the chair beside him and handed the dice to Kailani. The he grabbed the whiskey, poured a drink and downed it fast, turning his eyes on Asyr. "Well, let's see whos got the best luck, shall we? Come on Asyr, roll them beauties. While we're at it, whatcha been up to after we last ran into each other Asyr? Parties and balls I hope?"
And not to forgot our lovely lass there; so what kind of work did you do before you lost your ship in those unforunate circumstances?

Finishing her drink Kai enjoyed the light fuzzy haze that lingered over her mind. Alcohol was so very wonderful in that way. It could turn a sad night happy, or a shy girl flirty. It caused fights and settled differences. Cleaned wounds and cause sickness. Though the fighter didn’t think long on such things, she wasn’t really the contemplative sort. Why worry and wonder when you can leave in the moment?
Blinking lightly, she returned her attention to their responses. Asyr, though he didn’t come right out and say it alluding to all kinds of nefarious activities. This too brought a wide grin to the woman’s pale face, though she listened quietly throughout his response. Smuggling it sounded like, though maybe a little more than that. It all sounded suspiciously like a certain business she was extremely familiar with.
"I think I might just have an offer for you. But, we can discuss that later, don't you think? When we're somewhere more... private." Several months before Kailani would have been surprised, flattered even at the prospect of a new job. She’d gotten plenty, though none had panned out, most of them empty promises made by men with even emptier wallets. She merely smiled though, letting the offer roll off her back.
As soon as Asyr left off, Shine too jumped in, piling on the flirtatious comments. “I'm not above those fun times with such an awe inspiring beauty like the one that's blinding me with pearly white teeth.”
To this, Kailani audibly laughed, holding her sides, not worrying if it were rude to interupt Shine so. “That- that’s a new one. Pearly white teeth blindin’ ya, eh? Awe-inspirin’ beauty. I like it.” She then motioned for him to go on, allowing him to regale her with his business.
An intergalactic taxi of sorts, shuttling anyone with the coin and the gumption where they needed to get, and fast. A lucrative business, and not always an honest one. If she had a ship of her own she’d almost consider it. If there was one thing Kailani Quix could do, it was pilot a ship. And then, with the same sort of ease Shine made an offer himself.
“Heck, if Asyr here hadn't beat me to it, I'd say my business could always use another helper. So if you'd like to have some options, I'd be more then willing to talk work in, as Asyr said, a more private setting. A close inspection of a fine vessel perhaps."
“Hahaha.” Kailani laughed again, reaching out to snatch a shot of tequila from a passing waiter’s tray. Downing the shot she balanced the little glass between two fingers, observing the pair of men in the rounded edges of the glass.
“Last time I listened to an offer like that I ended up at a brothel with a bunch of Rodians and a very upset flicker cat. So, you boys will understand if I don’t leap at your offers. I’ve been doin’ rather well on my own, as I’m sure you noticed earlier.” Twisting and whirling the glass between her two fingers Kai finally sat it down when Shine decided to introduce a game of sorts. The rules were simple, even if they were a little skewed in the boys favor when it came to rolling a seven. But hell, she was more than happy to oblige.
A wide grinned covered her face. Despite her bad experiences with gambling, she still enjoyed the thrill of rolling the dice or laying the cards down. There was a certain exhilaration one got when at any moment they could be ruined or rich.
“I’m in.” She said, reaching between the rips of fabric into the bright red bra beneath. Fishing there for a few moment she pulled out a wad of credits and laid down her starting bets. Shine rolled, and came up with double fours, and so went off the first piece of clothing that night. Shine’s jacket lay out over one of the nearby chairs. Next was her turn.
The dice were warm from Shine’s pocket, and smooth with little indents. Pleasant to the touch. Closing her eyes she shook them lightly before tossing them down upon the table. The blue and red rolled together in a blur before stopping, first the red then the blue. A six and a two. “Looks like a credit for a me, boys.” She said, taking on credit in hand from the pot, fiddling with it before answering the question shine posed to her.
“Well, the ship itself was in a business very much like what Asyr described. We transported goods between buyers and took our share. Now, before I inherited the ole Hand I was the resident pilot. Got us out of tricky situations and whatnot. Did some translating between buyers as well from time to time, but I never really had a head for the business. Prolly why we were strugglin’ so much in our last few months. Nowadays I do stuff like that you watched before. Fightin’, boxin’ and generally kickin’ ass to make ends meet. Its not the prettiest job, but hey, I hear men love scars.” She said with a smile, thinking of her slightly puffy and tender lower lip. She’d been lucky so far, her face- the money maker- hadn’t gotten too trashed yet. Though it would only be a matter of time until she picked with the wrong person. Till then, it was a solid living.
“Your turn Asyr.” She said reaching down low to hand the dice to him in her surprisingly small hand.

Asyr's frosty irises shifted between the other two at the table as they spoke in turn. Shine answered Kailani's question, and the Echani nodded as he polished off the last of his ale. There was a very faint buzz in the back of his mind, but he had a good way to go before he'd start feeling any of the more noticeable effects of drunkenness. He'd have to get Jyrod to bring him another mug next time he saw the unlucky fellow.
Shine's answer to the question was interesting, though. Just as Asyr had, he spoke around what he did, rather than simply saying it bluntly, which was wise; smugglers and pirates that bragged to everyone about what they did usually didn't stay in their line of business very long, usually thanks to the long arm of the law or ending up on the wrong side of a gun. But it did indeed sound as if Shine was a smuggler, which was interesting, for another reason beyond the nature of the job itself.
"Small Galaxy then, eh Shine?" He raised his mug slightly toward the man, even though it was empty. "At least you picked a good line of work."
Now his attention returned to Kailani, waiting to see what she'd say. He hadn't been the only one to offer her a job; Shine had as well. His eyes flicked back over to the smuggler for a moment. Competing for more than just the pleasures they both knew Kailani could provide, were they? Well, if that was the way things were going to go...
He found himself chuckling a bit at her answer to their offers. Good. Not just gonna jump off into the water without knowing what's there first. Even better. If she kept showing some skill in playing people to her gain, he might even be able to find a spot for her on the crew doing the same kind of thing he did; working contacts to get good deals and good jobs out of people. Charisma could never go too far.
"I can't blame you, miss," he said, looking into her those sweet emerald pools that were her eyes. "But you'll find I've plenty to offer you." He paused for a heartbeat, to allow them to draw whatever conclusion they might about that, then let a little smirk play on his smooth features. "More than some ol' fools in the past have. You won't be disappointed, but like I said, that's talk for later."
Then Shine spoke again, introducing a game to play. Asyr had played something similar to it before, and laughed as he pulled some credit chits from his coat pocket and tossed them into the pot, while sweeping his legs from the table and underneath, bring himself to sit upright.
"Alright, Shine, I'll play." He smirked a bit at the man, and then gave a little look to Kai. "I'm feeling lucky tonight." After pausing for a moment, he chuckled and glanced to the woman they both so wanted to woo. "I'm sure our beautiful friend here might like the clothes coming off of us as much as we might her, hm?" It was a bit of a joke, of course, but there was some truth. Asyr knew what his body looked like, after nearly a lifetime of martial arts training had honed it; few could compare. The ladies always loved it, for more reason than one.
Shine took his first roll and stripped from his jacket. Kailani took the dice after that and netted herself some credits. Then she spoke of her experience, and much too Asyr's surprise and pleasure, it seemed to be something he was quite familiar with. Is my pretty little thing a pirate, I wonder? He chuckled as he took the dice when they were offered to him; his own hand was a fair deal larger than hers.
"Glad to hear we have such similar experiences, Kailani," he said, rolling the dice smoothly around in his palm. As he did, he let his silver-blue eyes drift up to meet her green and smiled. "And, speaking as an Echani, it's good to know you're a fighter." He chuckled and let the dice roll from his hand, though he didn't look at them. "I do love a woman that can fight. And when it's one as good-lookin' as you, well," he flashed his teeth in a grin and gave her a playful little wink, "that's a rare treat; only makes it even better."
With that said, he looked down to the dice. Two fours. Same as Shine. "You sure these things ain't set to come out like that when one of us uses 'em, Albartos?" he said, grinning as he slipped out of his red coat. His black shirt remained beneath. While it was short of being form-fitting, it fit his muscular body well, and his build would be noticeable through it. He poured a bit of rum for himself and with a grin for both of them and a 'salut,' downed it and slapped the glass back down onto the table.
"As for how I've been," he went on, settling his elbows on the table as he rolled the dice over to Shine, "can't say I can complain. Comin' off a good payday. Other than that, been travelin', as always. Findin' bars to raid." Suddenly, a mischievous little grin grew on his face and he looked from Shine to Kailani. "Gettin' into fights in bars. Good fights, too.
"The usual, y'know?" He leaned back into his seat and looked to Shine again and lifted a snow brow of his. "Though if we're gonna be askin' questions, I got one for ya. Where're you from, eh? Can't say I know that for you," he looked to Kailani with a little nod a mirthful twinkle to his eye, "or you, Kai." That boyish grin returned to his face for a moment. "Yeah, Kai. You don't mind that, d'ya? And is there a story to that chair?"
Chuckling as he looked to them both, he went on. "So lemme hear a bit of your stories. I'll trade some of my own tale as well, of course."

Shine smiled a wide grin as Kailani found a laugh to follow his comments about her, flicking he tip of his nose with his thumb as if to rub off what he assumed was a thank you for them. Whatever was left in his glass found its way to his mouth and down into his maw before he spoke, shaking his head lightly as he licked his lips. "What can I say Miss Kailani, I aim to impress and surprise. Two acts I am "very" good at accomplishing. Your welcome by the way."
The conversations that followed were just as Shine expected they would...well, at least Asyr or his responses. He gave the man a small nod of his head, chuckling at the his reply before rolling a drink of ale to him. "Small galaxy indeed. And thanks Asyr, sounds like you got a winner too. Kailani's replies, however, often did a good job of catching him middrink in a small gasp of surprise. First and foremost among those was the way she shrugged off both their offers, at least for the time being, quoting that her past experiences with offers hadn't been exactly user friendly. Shine winced into his drink and placed his hands together to admire her over his hands, as she spoke on. The drink she nabbed from the waiter was not lost on him; good old tequila. Something to remember for later perhaps?
"Ouch....well for shame on whoever messed with you then. Spoiling all those good and honorable offers from upstanding gentleman such as myself and Asyr by causing doubts to our true intentions. Well, I can at least assure you that mine is as genuine as it sounds....don't know about yours though Asyr. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you had "alternate" reasons for offering her such a deal." He winked at Asyr, obviously teasing when Shine had worded much of his words to sound the same way as Asyr's, hiding a meaning in plain sight to be spotted. But if she couldn't see that meaning, she wouldn't be worth the time Shine was more then willing to spend with her. "And I dunno Asyr, I think we're about equal in the what we can offer department...expect mine come's with plenty of fringe benefits."
The playful banter didn't stop as the game Shine suggested got into swing. He hadn't expected either of them to reject the game, though he had almost expected Kailani to question the fairness about one of the rolls. Color him surprised when she not only didn't question the rules, she simply reached into her shirt and produced a wad of credits. His eyes wanted to linger on the location the credits had come from, but if he'd learned anything from home, one of the best ways to earn a ladies merit was to keep respectful, so his eyes snapped back up to hers. Asyr pulled out an equal amount from his coat pocket and Shine drew out his own, making the pot a small bit of a fortune. Well, it wasn't that big but it was a decent size for the game they were about to play.
"Glad you're both kosher to play. Silly me to think otherwise though; its obvious your both game to a good time." He chuckled and poured himself a new glass of whiskey, the effects just starting to poke at his senses. His cheeks felt rosy and there was a light swirling haze somewhere in his mind, but everything worked normally and he could still think clearly. It would take a lot more drinks to put him anywhere near a level where drinking anymore might just be a bad idea....he'd yet to be beaten in a drinking contest though and if it came down to whoever stood at the end of the night, gosh damn he would be that person. "And I'm sure shes just waiting to oggle the eye candy as well; frell, we got a bit of an advantage on her considering she's already showing quite a bit. Almost makes me want to say we should give her a handicap but that just steals the fun of us having to drink and show some skin in the same."
It was much cooler in here without that large jacket draped over his shoulders now, though the temperature in the air was still stale and muggy. The by-product of having a large group of people all hooting heat into the air from sweating bodies and rowdy voices. It was a good thing the door was open to let in fresh air or else everyone in the bar might have been passed out from lack of oxygen. Among the many ways you could end up on the floor or drooped over a table in here, knock out by air seemed kind of petty. It made the black sleeved shirt overtop of a white underlining stick to him as the sweat started to pile, an action that prompted him to flex his body in order to get it unglued from an uncomfortable position.
Compared to the body that he knew Asyr had under that shirt of his, Shine's was...well it wasn't bad. He had clear defined muscles beneath his shirt, thank you military life for giving him that and prompting him to keep it that way, making him an okay level of strong to boot. It helped to catch a ladies eye for sure and he was never ashamed to show it...but in this case, he wasn't sure that it would be a card he could play against Asyr. His muscles could be seen even with the clothes on....a hard life would give him those most likely. And fighting...lord only knew how much Asyr did that considering his skill with it on Rodia. Shine would just have to win in the charm and wits department if he wanted to take home the prize.
Kailani quickly took her turn, scoring an even number via a six and two. The first credits from the pot were her's, which was some good luck already. As she went, she answered Shine's question about what she did before, which after listening to and targeting every detail to be placed in his memory. The more you remembered after all, the more you could bring up later or use to guide a conversation. And from her words....she sounded much like a smuggler, but the addition of it being like Asyr described, she was likely to have been a pirate as well. Go figure...little old me against the big older brother and sisters of my trade. Glad I know how to avoid stepping on toes. Shine had no real problem with pirates...so long as they didn't try to raid him or got in his way. Other then that, they did they're work, he did his. Everyone just trying to make a living. He nodded as she went on, twirling his glass as he waited for the games to continue.
"Yes, I can see you make very good use of the assets you got left to you. That was a beauty of a punch if I may say so; you'll have to show me how it works later on if possible. A little one on one practice with some "heavy" exercise to follow. As for scars, well, they have their charm so long as you ain't dotted with them and they don't take away from what you already got. It would be a terrible shame if something marred those absolutely model features that your face was blessed with."
Asyr rolled as they talked and Shine almost choked on nothing as a laugh came from him at Asyr's roll. Double fours..what were the odds of that? Like Shine had done, Asyr tossed his jacket aside before downing a short of rum and rolling the dice back to Shine. "Hey, I'm no Jedi making the dice roll funny. Lady Luck must just want to play games with us tonight and I'm more then willing to test what she's got.
And very good, very good, I just got off a couple of big paydays myself. Even managed to grab my ride an upgrade and a skilled copilot to make my job easier. And I gotta tell you, my ride was a beauty before...but now she is just full of surprises. Like ship like pilot right? But got into a few little scuffles here and there too. Course you know, bar brawlers aren't just my thing. Had to face down some "real" challenges from the galactic posses out there. But as you can see, I'm alive, well and pretty sure still able to perform to perfection. Ain't life grand?
As for where I'm from well....I come from the planet where the pilots are plenty, the whiskey and ale are good and where the only luck we make is the luck we make ourselves. And if my guess is correct," he said, turning his eyes on the legs that she had crossed before them, eying a particular piece of cloth that he'd failed to notice until he'd glanced over towards her roll, "that our dear sweet lady friend here is from the same. I'm from Corellia, Asyr...and if those are honest and true Bloodstripes on your pants there Kailiani, I figure your from the same. I'd tip a hat off to a fellow but seeing as I have no hat, I will drink a shot and roll these dice." Downing a shot of ale this time, he swiped up the dice and rolled them. A four...and a three.
A grin slipped across Shine's face at the numbers and he passed the dice to Kailani, chuckling. "Asyr my friend, it appears lady luck had given me her first blessing. Three and a four give me seven, which rewards me with a peck from the lovely lady. But do please, tell me about this chair, I am interested as well.
And as for stories well.....I came from a family of uniformed men and woman who, if they knew what I was running now, would probably go into shock. I mean really....transporting items of interest and not upholding the righteous? Blasphemy...though I do my fair share of nice now and then...when the situation calls for it." With that, he turned the table to Kailani, awaiting the prize for his rather lucky roll of the dice. But a Corellian did not argue with that kind of luck....it was all skill to them.

Kailani smiled brightly watching intently as Asyr took his roll. Another barking laugh erupted from between her lips as she saw the result. Double fours. And with it went another piece of clothing. A whistle of admiration hit the air as the Echani man revealed what was hiding under that heavy coat. Hot damn, I might be a little over my head… She thought quietly, eyes flicking back to Shine. He wasn’t too bad himself. He stood his own, and those eyes… Yup, definitely over my head.
As Aysr too laid down his coat and handed the dice over to Shine he spoke, addressing them both. Where're you from, eh? Can't say I know that for you, or you, Kai." Kailani smiled at this nickname, it had been a while since someone had called her that. Several months in fact. Mostly she got ’Baby’ or ‘Hey, you’ or even the occasional ‘Girlie’. "Yeah, Kai. You don't mind that, d'ya? And is there a story to that chair?"
“Don’t mind a bit,” She said with a soft smirk, eyes directed towards Shine as he prepared to make his roll. The two boys were still catching up together, discussing pay days and their strokes of good luck. At this Kailani’s green eyes glazed over slightly. They both seemed a little sad she’d momentarily put their offers aside. Usually when she brushed them off it became apparent they were pure bullshit, never was someone visibly disappointed, or maybe it was more pity? Heh, who knows. Maybe these boys genuinely wanted to help.
And so as Shine rolled he spoke of his observations. He was Corellian. Sh*t. Her smile never faltered as she rested back into the seat.
“Yup, I’m Corellian. As for my throne, if I may bring your attention to name carved into the back of the chair.” Motioning her fingers towards the ornately carved surname, fluid and weathered with age. “It was my fathers, and before him it was his fathers. My dad and I don’t quite get along these days, so I nabbed it one night. My sisters are all married and whatnot, Dad never had any sons. I figured I’d keep it in the family name, til I’m gone anyways. Leave it to a cousin or somethin’ after I die.” She said this with a surprising amount of honesty, though she neglected to mention where she’d acquired her Blood Stripes, it was a story that generally infuriated most Corellian’s right off the bat. She also neglected mentioning her noble birth, not something she went around shouting. Bein’ noble always gave you trouble.
Caught up almostly completely in her reminiscing, the white-blonde woman nearly missed what Shine’s roll was. “Alright, are you boys stringin’ me along with set dice?” She asked with a giggle. Standing up suddenly the woman hopped up from her seat, landing with a wobbling sort of grace onto the empty part of the table top. Smiling she approached Shine at his part of the table. Standing before him for a moment she jumped again, boots hitting the ground with a thud, and within seconds she had planted herself on his lap.
Without a word she pressed her lips against his, caressing them lightly. Her lips moved softly against his for a long moment, her fingers running through the loose brown hair. Pulling away she gave him a wide grin, leaning over to grab the die. With a shake of her fist she tossed the pair to the tabletop. Double sixes.
“Now I know these things are fixed.” She laughed, standing again as she whipped off the oversized leather jacket. Laying out the tattered jacket with the others she turned back before settling back into one of the smaller chairs, happy to be even with the boys. Plus, she was sick of reaching for every drink. Gripping the rum bottle tightly she poured it into one of the shot glasses and tossed the dark liquid back. It burned pleasantly going down.
“Alright, Asyr. Your go.”

"Careful Shine," Asyr started when the smuggler asked Kailani to show him how she did that punch, "she looks to be a wild one." He was teasing, of course; the little grin he gave Kailani was proof enough. "Just how I like ladies, of course, but she might knock you out quick as she did that Twi'lek and leave you behind without a clue about what happened. And-"
He was going to say more, but a ruckus near the entrance of the cantina caught his ear. As he glanced back over his shoulder, he saw a quartet of men enter. Two humans, one with short brown hair, the other bald, a Nikto, and a Gran. They were rough-looking fellows. All four wore similar clothing: dark grey spacer's suits with some kind of burning circle logo knitted on the shoulder. Asyr's brow knitted slightly as he watched them push their way in. Literally, as a patron on his way out bumped into one of them and nearly got shoved to the ground. Asyr turned around again, a bit more aware of the knives and gun he kept on his person. He knew their type. They'll be trouble. He simply nodded to Shine to continue speaking.
Jyrod stopped by again, already with a fresh mug of ale in hand for Asyr. They traded the glasses, Asyr giving the unfortunate waiter his empty mug and taking the full one for himself. "I think things be gettin' a trite more interestin' before the night's over," Jyrod muttered, glancing over to the four who were just now taking a seat.
"Prob'ly," Asyr answered quietly as he flicked his old friend some credits. "We'll see." Jyrod nodded and went off on his way. Asyr turned his attention back to Shine.
The smuggler was Corellian. Thinking on it, Asyr wasn't too surprised. The shoe fit well. "Ah, I should've known, Albartos. So you have rocket fuel for blood, do ya?" He chuckled. "Aye, that's fitting." Then he flashed a grin to the smuggler when his dice roll came up as a seven. "'Grats, then. But this game's just gettin' started, my friend." Just gettin' started, he repeated again with a near-silent chuckle. And it's the luck at the end of the race that counts the most. Shine could have his fun now; Asyr's confidence remained that at the end of the night, he'd be the one walking out with the blonde beauty by his side.
Next he looked to Kailani, watching for what she'd do. She gave Shine the kiss, oh yes, and she also gave a bit of her own background. So she doesn't get on with her dad either, eh? "How generous of you, to leave behind the family name for someone else." He was being sincere. "There's a lot of value to a name, no?"
Asyr chuckled softly once she left Shine's lap and settled into a seat of her own, and let a suggestive little grin grow on his features when she slipped out of that coat. "Maybe they are fixed," he said, with a joking look to Shine as he downed some of his ale. Then he looked back to Kai, not hiding his interest--and appreciation--as he eyed her form for a moment. "But with a bombshell like Kai with us, I can't say I can complain."
Nodding to both, he settled back into his chair now that their stories were completed. Both were brief, to be sure, and he wondered if they'd been all truths. Half truths perhaps, but where there little lies sprinkled within? Who could say? "Well," he said, taking the dice in hand and looking to each in turn, giving Shine and friendly nod and meeting Kai's beautiful eyes for a moment with his own, "guess that makes it my turn, doesn't?"
With a simple sweep of his hand, he took the dice into his palm rolled them around, working them with his fingers. For the briefest of moments, his eyes seemed to go distant as parts of his childhood and youth played through his memory. Now he'd give them a glimpse into his past, into the life he'd come from. But they wouldn't know it all. No, there were things he couldn't tell, wouldn't tell to anyone save a select few. Not even a friend like Shine, or a wonderful madam like Kailani. Lordura didn't even know of his past, not for true. Very few people did.
"I'm from Eshan," he started, keeping his attention flowing between the two of them naturally, even if it was a bit heavier on Kailani than Shine. "Big surprise, right? An Echani from Eshan. Well, my family was well-off. Noble even, if you wanna call it that. Pops was a big military man and my mom was one of the best damn fighters on the planet. Hell, probably the best, but I guess I'm biased." She'd also trained him in the ways of fighting nearly since he was old enough to walk. If Shine wanted to know where Asyr's skill came from, he needed to look no further.
He picked up the empty shot gloss he had and brought it up to eye level, looking at it and watching what traces amounts of leftover whiskey remained in it gently drift around. "Suppose I had a good enough time as a kid. Learned all the histories and sciences and military things that I was supposed to. I was supposed to follow in his footsteps, y'know. Be a big famous military man m'self one day, as if I wanted to do that." He kept his disdain down a bit, but some still showed. Asyr had a distaste for the military, or military types. His father had nurtured that rather well, whether he meant to or not.
"I learned to act like 'nobility' should, went to balls, learned 'courtly' manners, all that sh*t." Slapping the glass down on the table, he leaned back in his set and threw an arm over the back, looking to his conversation partners. "And wasn't a damn bit happier for any of it.
"Anyway, Pops and I didn't see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, so when I turned eighteen, I left Eshan." A little smirk grew on his face and he shrugged. It was a lie, of course, and he'd left out many details, but neither of them had any way of knowing that.
The hand that held the dice was over the back over the back of the chair, but with an easy flick of his wrist, Asyr tossed them out onto the table. Red and blue bounced along its surface and stopped near the center. Red stopped first. One pip. Blue tottered on a corner and then fell onto its side. One. Snake eyes. Another shot, and another piece of clothing to come off. "Been a free man ever since," Asyr said, unhooking his arm from the chair's back and reaching forward to pour some rum into his shot glass. He downed it without hesitation. "Course, my father would probably bust an ass cheek if he knew what I did these days, but he'll just have to deal with a blown-out ass cheek."
Now was the fun part. Something to remove. He started to lean down, take off a boot, then paused, a devilish smirk flashing on his face. Let's take things up a notch.
Instead, he sat up straight and started to pull down the zipper on the front of his shirt. With an easy motion, he slipped out of it, leaving himself bare to the waist. As both of them had probably gathered, his body was very well-muscled; and with a body fat as low as his, there was spectacular definition that was only accented by his phenomenal vascularity. It was a work of art, as if carved from stone--nearly the peak of physical perfection. His stomach was hard, the muscles there split into eight segments, his chest was deep and strong, his arms toned and powerful.
Asyr smirked inwardly, but said nothing, made no flaunting gestures beyond a subtle little wink and smile to Kai. There was no need; everything spoke for itself. Instead he simply continued talking as he laid the shirt aside.
"So how's about a toast," he said, grinning at them both as he took his refilled mug in hand and raised it. "To the most beautiful of women," he gave a wink and flashed a winning smile at Kailani before he turned back to Shine and spoke to them both as one, "and to livin' free and makin' our own destinies." This time, the grin, boyish in its charm and enthusiasm, wasn't meant only for Kailani, but came rather from the meaning the words he spoke held for him. "And to hell with anyone that wants to get in our way."

Just how I like ladies, of course, but she might knock you out quick as she did that Twi'lek and leave you behind without a clue about what happened. And-"
Shine had to feign hurt at Asyr's comment, placing a hand over his heart and letting out what would sound like a pained gasp. Shine knew the man was jesting him, that flirting smile that followed his initial comments all the indication Shine needed. Asyr knew as well as anyone that Shine could hold a candle in a fight. Maybe not as well as Asyr could, but enough to keep from being the one on the floor as the party began. "Asyr, why would you say such a thing? I would at least be able to take two punches before I ended up in la-la land." A chuckle followed as the fake hurt subsided from his features as he sipped another tinkle of his ale.
Whatever Asyr was planning on saying was abruptly cut off but a loud ruckus from behind him. Shine's position allowed him to simply glance past Kailani to see what the commotion was, noting that the others were also turning to look to see its source. A small posse made up of two humans, a Gran and Nikto had just arrived on the scene, making their presence known by shoving their way past anyone who didn't get out of their way. They had almost matching clothing, minor edits here and there, but that rough looking exterior was uniform for them all. A man near to their table got knocked back from the parading crew, a man Shine caught lightly to keep him from hitting the hard floor beneath, his eyes glancing over his shoulder as they moved to make noise near the bar. And the night was looking like it would go off without a hitch to the fun and games. Guess lady luck knows how to be mean.
He released the man he'd saved from the floor, letting off the expected your welcome to the man's thanks as he headed off to the destination he had in mind before ending up on his arse. The waiter arrived a moment later, Shine turning his attention to watch them again while he kept one ear trained behind him in case trouble suddenly came his way. The light conversation between the man and Asyr mirrored the thoughts in Shine's mind at the moment, Shine quirking up as well. "The night's already interesting my friend. Let' just pray it doesn't get "too" interesting right?"
And then came the second surprise for Shine tonight. When he'd rolled that seven, he'd expected Kailani to saunter over and give him a light peck on the check, maybe on the lips or forehead either. But having her drop onto his lap and really plant one on him caught him completely off guard. True, he was quick to get into the situation at hand, pressing back into it with just slightly more force then her as a man usually did for kisses, a little hiss escaping his lips as her hand fondled his hair. When he pulled back and took a normal seat, Shine let out a long breath, a wide grin sliding across his features. Jeez...and that was just a kiss. I wonder what the full show would be like....guess I'd better put on my game face so Asyr doesn't get the final say. Lifting her hand, he lightly kissed the back of her hand. "Well, I certainty wasn't expecting that but you won't find me arguing. I hope Lady Luck is kind to me again...and maybe show Asyr a little love as well."
Kailani followed that up with background on her and her mighty chair. It was something handed down from father to son...or in this case, father to daughter since she appeared her dad had no sons. He imagined that meant a slightly harsher then normal life growing up...she seemed to turn out alright though. In more then one place. Shine nodded in response to Asyr's comment, sighing lightly. [color=A40000["Guess its like an heirloom of sorts. Glad to see your kind enough to at least let it continue following down the line; no plans to have kids of your own to hand it down to I take it?"
And really guys, they aren't rigged. That just makes things too easy and no fun at all."[/color]
Kai went again and this time came up with double fives, prompting her to remove her thick overcoat. Well, that had everyone stripped of their jackets.....so what clothing would start going next. Most games had people taking off boots, gloves, socks...but considering those in attendance, something much bigger then those items was going to come off next for sure. And since it was Asyr's turn....damn, the man just might get a heads up on him if he managed to grab a set of doubles.
Before he rolled those dice however, Asyr decided to give a bit of background himself. Shine already had a hunch of where the man was from, the man's appearance and heavy direction towards fighting a rather good indicator of such a thing. The knowledge that he came from a "noble" family was surprising though, especially considering the man it came from. From noble birth to dirty mercenary? Now this I must hear. Details about his parents came next and a smirk slid across Shine's features; so his mother had beat his skills into him then? Shine could believe that. He had picked up some tricks from his mother as well, and having a family of officers was gave Shine some insight into what cops do and how to avoid them.
A good life, expectations he hadn't want to match up to followed and Shine found himself whistling despite his brain not remembering starting. Asyr had been handed the world on the platter and chosen to toss that aside in favor of what he wanted to do. Shine could respect that; he was supposed to become an officer like his family and yet ended up being a pilot. He figured his mother and father were sad at this development, but he knew they loved him anyway. They wouldn't have helped get him to his goal otherwise. As Asyr's story winded to a close, Shine lifted a glass to him, a signal for a cheer. "Well, can't argue with following your own way in life...I'm surprised to hear that you were noble. Dear lord, how many layers are you hiding that image under?"
And thus Asyr's roll came...and Shine had to bite back a curse. Snake eyes. His eyes met Asyrs and he saw the change in them as he reached down for a boot....before reaching up and tossing his shirt aside. Shine winced inside at the sight...if only because it was as impressive as Asyr made it out to be. The man was practically muscle...not too much muscle but an enough to make him both imposing and surely attractive to the other gender. He had a point over Shine in that regard...but Shine would counter as soon as he could. Hopefully.
Asyr rose for a cheer of his own, likely using it to show off his muscles more as he rose a glass to the sky. Shine chuckled and shook his head, raising his glass high as well and coughing out a real laugh. He had to undo his collar though, as the heat needed a way to vent out and taking off clothes for free would ruin the game. "Aye to beautiful woman; may we see many more as we traverse the galaxy. And for the lady to see many more men of....imposing figures. And its not to hell with anyone in our way...its good luck to anyone that gets in our way." He downed his drink and snatched the dice up quick, tossing them on the table before them. Dual threes.
"Well, so much for building up to the grand finale. Guess we might as well get to the main shows, am I right Asyr?" A grin slid across Shine's face again and he slowly removed his own shirt, tossing it to lay atop his jacket. Shine wasn't near on Asyr's level, but his muscles were well defined as well. His arms were clearly defined, his chest pumped and strong, the stomach divided into six equal parts and his broad shoulders twitching as he flexed to shake the drips of sweat from himself. Military life had its perks after all. "There, now we can both breathe easier without having our clothes reshape themselves over our bodies in this air. And I know I'm not as stunning as you are my friend...but I got it where it all counts..both on show now and for later.
Guess I need a little tale to toss. Let me see.....as I said, my family were all good enough folks, middle class and the like. We came from a long line of men and woman in the Corellian Forces, making sure the wicked and corrupt guided their arses to our boots. And let me tell you, my mother....well I pity the poor fool who crossed her. She could almost read what the crooks and baddies were thinking or planning and just BAM, the cells for the night are filled to capacity. Picked up a lot of tricks from her, and my father, who had the skills with the blaster and at the wheel.
My blaster is his. Something of a heirloom for my family, though it often goes to the first born which was me in this case. We have several others but no point in going into those when I can't show them for effect. Anyway, mom and dad were hopeful I'd follow in their footsteps, wear the badge and gun and defend the right and punish the wrong. Ironic situation I find myself in at the moment right? Either way, I would have followed them surely...if I didn't have, as Asyr said, rocket fuel for blood. I just had to fly...and after some long talks about it, my parents finally caved and I managed to get into the navy back home. And boy were those some good years. Got bored with sitting back and flying little patrols though, so I made out on my own eventually and lo and behold, where I am today.
Kailani dear, I do believe it is your turn now. Let's see if the dice would like to give us luck in threes. The story telling is also passed to you, if you have one to throw to us?"

Settled into her chair between the two men, Kailani was more than happy to watch as Asyr took the dice from her hand once more and prepared his roll. Her fingers slipped around the rum bottle’s slender neck gripping it tightly before pressing the opening against her lips. Taking a long sip, Kailani sighed softly as the Echani spoke of his family. He was a noble? The similarities just kept stacking up. She stared at Asyr as he spoke, taking in every detail of his face and voice. As he spoke of his life on Eshan, of how his parents groomed him to like them. To be an upstanding, stiff, an excellent Echani all around. And then, with a sort of bitterness to his voice, he expressed their expectation. They wanted him to be in the military. To carry the family name with pride. Her expression was vague, though slightly pained as she heard his all too familiar tale, and then from the corner of her eye she spotted him.
“Aw, sh*t.” Kailani breathed out quietly as the young man was shoved towards their table and out of the way. He was back. Stooping a little lower in her seat, Kailani’s eyes flickered back and forth between her companions to the group of spacers that had entered the bar. They were looking for trouble that much was obvious, but who they were looking for was another matter entirely. A matter Kailani hoped she wouldn’t be apart of tonight. It didn’t help that all the shots, ales, tequila and the many many drink she’d had before meeting the boys were starting to wear on her mind. The room spun lazily, but not in an unpleasant way. Taking another long sip from the rum bottle Kailani put the rough men out of mind, and focused on the task at hand. Finding a place to crash for the night.
Placing the bottle back down with a soft clack on the table, the green eyed woman turned back to Asyr who had completed his roll. Her eyes locked with his steely-blue ones, and the strangest shiver ran up the length of her back. Staring into the cool depths for a moment Kailani was the one who broke the contact, eyes flickering to see the result. Snake eyes. Asyr first went for the boot, and then reconsidered taking unzipping his shirt and tossing it away as well.
Now, if there is one thing Kailani could appreciate (other than a stiff drink, and some fine piloting), it was a well built man. And the one before her was one of the most well chiseled she had ever seen. And that skin. So perfectly pale he resembled cut marble even in the dreary light of the dive. Kai, for a only a moment, visibly stared at the Echani before her before returning to her sense and watching as Shine took the dice in hand, preparing to roll as well. As the dice clattered against the table they tumbled until they reached their sets. Double threes. What are the odds? Carefully Shine too removed his shirt, leaving his upper half bare and needless to say Kailani found herself out of breath. Where Asyr was hard cut and well chiseled Shine still held his own. His physique was slightly softer, but in an a comfortable way. Kai gently waved a hand to her face, feeling the heat of the place. Or was it the alcohol-and-hot-men induced blush that covered her fair face?
“Alright, you gotta be kidding me! Theres no way, no way!” She said, laughing heartily again as she reached over Shine for the dice, listening intently to his story. He spoke of a life that was much different from her own. Of a family that encourage choices, of a family that was middle class, that worked for what they had. Far different that the life she knew on Corellia. But she didn’t comment. Her honesty that night didn’t stretch quite that far yet. He even shared his heirloom blaster, much more practical than her enormous chair, as fun as it was to lug back and forth between the bars each week.
“Kailani dear, I do believe it is your turn now. Let's see if the dice would like to give us luck in threes. The story telling is also passed to you, if you have one to throw to us?"
“Don’t mind if I do, Shiny.” Grasping the dice in hand Kailani twisted and rolled them between her fingers before tossing them back down to the table, clacking and spinning as they went. Stopping suddenly her numbers were revealed. A six and a one. That made seven. “Oh yes, these dice are rigged. Which one of you has that voodoo force sh*t?” She asked playfully, filling her shot glass to the brim with ale. Swigging it down quickly Kailani’s eyes darted back and forth between Asyr and Shine. “Alrighty Shine, I hope you don’t mind but since you’ve had a taste already…”
The woman trailed off as she stood up, settling herself in Asyr’s lap with a smirk. “I hope you don’t mind either, big guy.” She said with a wink before lowering her face to his.

Kai was impressed. Asyr didn't say anything, but he saw her stare when he removed his shirt. As she ogled him, obviously impressed as so many women were when his clothes started to come off, he merely looked over and gave her a knowing little smile and a wink. Fortunately for Shine, she was able to snap out of her reverie and look back over to him before she completely lost herself in staring at Asyr. Check, he thought to himself as his pale eyes flicked to the smuggler sitting across from him. Now let's see what you get, Shine.
A six, made of two threes. Asyr's gaze flicked to Shine and he chuckled. "Sure these dice aren't rigged, Albartos?" Taking his mug in hand and drinking from it, he watched with idle interest, to see what the man would do. Now that Asyr had bared his own chest, he doubted Shine would waste time in following suit. But could he compete?
Shine's own build wasn't bad, but Asyr knew he had the smuggler beat in terms of physique. Shine's build was smaller, softer than Asyr's own. His muscles weren't as large, his abs were split into six, rather than eight, his definition and vascularity couldn't stack all the way up. Oh, Shine was impressive in his own right, certainly, but in the presence of one such as Asyr, few could compare. All the years of training have been good for more than one thing, he crooned to himself.
"There, now we can both breathe easier without having our clothes reshape themselves over our bodies in this air. And I know I'm not as stunning as you are my friend..."
Asyr chuckled again, looking at Shine over the top of his mug before he set it down. For a moment, he wondered why the man seemed to be sweating. It was warm in the place, sure, but hardly uncomfortably so, at least to him. The Echani's pale skin was still dry. And it's okay, Shine. Very few men are.
"But I got it where it all counts..both on show now and for later."
Again, Asyr chuckled softly. Well, you know what they say about guys that have to say they have it... An amused little twinkle passed through his eyes, but he didn't say anything, nor did he feel the need to tense and flex his body as Shine did. There was no need. His veins and definition stood out more than well enough relaxed as he currently was--some of the striation in areas like his chest and shoulders were noticeable in the current lighting--and he knew the rest of his body was as impressive as what the other two could see now; there wasn't any need for him to reassure himself by saying it. After all, he'd never left a lady disappointed, for more reason than one.
"Well then," he answered, raising his glass slightly toward his friend in a bit of a salute, "then here's to a good competition, hm?" The corner of his lip pulled up into a little smirk. "It'll just make the win at the better at the end of the night."
Shine went on to tell a bit about his own parents, and Asyr listened quietly, nodding every now and then. Seemed the man came from more modest beginnings than his own, but that wasn't bad. At the very least, he didn't have to hide his past under layers and layers of falsehoods and half-truths. For that, Asyr was almost envious. Almost.
The dice got passed around, and then it was Kai's turn. She rolled. A six came up first. Then a one. Asyr laughed. "I think Shine might be, Kai. Says he doesn't have any Jedi powers, but I dunno. I think I saw him wavin' his hand around when the dice were rollin'." He looked to Shine and grinned, obviously teasing.
Now there was the question of what Kai would do. She got a seven, so she could choose...
A little smirk grew on Asyr's face when she came over to settle in his lap. "Not at all miss," he said, grinning for the beauty sitting in his lap, for the warmth of her body so near his bare chest. As she leaned in to kiss him, his eyes slid shut and he leaned forward to meet her. As their lips pressed together, he settled a hand on her thigh and slid an arm around her waist in a light sort of embrace. He kissed her deep and kissed her true, as she did for him, and when finally they split, he pulled his face back a bit from hers and grinned boyishly and gave a little whistle. She was good. He'd kissed more women than he could count in his lifetime, but Kai's had been one of the best.
"My my, Miss Kai," he said, grinning at the blonde woman in his lap, "that was an experience." With a lecherous little smirk, he chuckled and looked into her deep emerald eyes for a moment. "Or just the beginning of one for us, if you catch my drift." Taking the hand up from her thigh, he'd reach forward to take the dice, though the other arm would remain slung lightly around her waist until she go up; when she did, he'd simply let her go so she could return to her seat.
"Let's see if that kiss helped me out any." With a grin, he brought his hand up near his face and blew into his cupped palm. The dice flew and bounced across the table, colliding with each other and bouncing apart. Blue stopped. One. Then red. Three.
"Well then, I think this is mine," he said, leaning forward to take a credit chit from the pot. "And I think that means another round of drinks for everyone, aye?" He grinned at them both, then passed the dice on to Shine. "Your roll, Shine."

Well that's a bad sign. I think she actually spaced out in response to him.....point goes to you this round Asyr.
The admiration Kai gave to Asyr was not unnoticed by Shine, her eyes tracing over his form in the space of a moment. Again, Shine had to give the man credit, he had a body that few could compete with. But considering how Asyr's life had been compared to his own, Shine hadn't done as bad as some would think. Asyr had gotten that body by a lifetime of training and fighting. Shine had gotten his through a simple daily routine ihs life in the military had drilled into him and by keeping attentive to his body, never overeating or not eating enough. Shine figured that balanced them out a bit...but Asyr still had the shiny muscle body.
Kailani was at least respectful towards both men at the table. Though Asyr had the more appealing body, she only watched it for a moment before breaking her gaze from his form to drop her eyes back on him, awaiting his roll. That brought a grin to Shine's face. So not all was lost yet; he still had a chance to top the chipped marble body Asyr presented and impress Kailani into being his guest for the night. He continued to sip at the drink in his hand while the other tapped on the table to some tune he knew, moderately controlling his intake of alcohol so that his head remained in the game. He again was still a long ways off from being totally buzzed, but that light haze was getting thicker and considering how likely this game was to make him drink more, he wanted to ensure he had lots of room for those moments.
Shine slapped a hand to his head when Kailani rolled a seven again, laughing at the result. He chuckled again when both she and Asyr seemed to pin the dice's results on him, claiming he was using that Force jank to control the way the dice rolled.
"Ah yes, I'm completely guiding the way this game goes. Beware my next roll, it shall leave you speechless."
He laughed off his light teasing, downing the rest of his glass as Kailani gave Asyr a turn at the smooching game. He had to distract himself as the two of them went at it though, so his eyes wandered for a moment around the happy place they were in. The party was still in full swing, patrons downing drinks, passing out on their tables or hooting for a song from someone. Frell, some of the other tables were even following suit in the dice game...though the one table seemed to have degenerated into a full out make out session. Likely either smashed to the heavens patrons or pairs already.
As his eyes started to drift back to his table, they lingered on a small scene that dominated the bar. The four men from earlier, the ones that screamed trouble in trousers, were living up to their appearances. They weren't doing anything to serious from what Shine could see....they were howling at random patrons, shouting for more drinks and, much to Shine's distaste, slapping rather private places on any woman patron or worker that passed by. Some of them appeared to like it...but the majority shot dirty looks at the men or gasped and tried to distance themselves from the group. Dirty slurs and curses tingled on Shine's ears as the men challenged any woman or man who tried to tell them off; mostly people just ignored them and tried to get about their business.
Sighing, Shine turned back to Kailani and Asyr, who had parted in the meantime. Smiling, Shine caught the dice in his hand when Asyr tossed them to him, rolling them around in his hand above the table. "It was quite the experience wasn't it Asyr. And I see you netted yourself some cash there Asyr, good roll. Still think I'm manipulating the dice?" He chuckled again and then held both hands out over the table, putting one dice in each. "Here, watch for yourself. No tricks at all. Just some rather naughty dice.....they must have picked up some of mine. Good thing I have lots to spare at least." He winked at Kailani before releasing both the dice, then putting his hands palm up to each of them to keep it clear that his hands weren't doing anything other then waiting for high fives.
The dice thudded against the table and rolled a little bit before settling on...a five and a three. "Five and three makes eight....my favorite number. Guess that means I get to partake of the pot as well." Reaching over, he snatched a credit chip from the pot and almost immediately gave it to a passing waiter, calling for some light snacks and another round of drinks on top of Asyr's.
"Need something to munch on....but only some light food. Have to be sure to save room for the main course you know?" he said, chuckling, before offering the dice to Kailani. "Two strips from Asyr, two from me, and a credit chip for us all. If my dice follow pattern, your due for some clothing Ms Kai. Or perhaps its time for a chip to be lost...or many to be gained"

As the kiss drew to a close, Kailani untangled herself from Asyr with a warm smile, hopping back into her seat with a bounce. The kiss had left her dizzy. Or maybe it was all the rum? The world spun in slow circles about her, as it dawned on the woman that she was delightfully intoxicated. The various amounts of alcohol she’d consumed through the night weighed heavily on her mind, and she couldn’t be happier. It was a beautiful feeling.
“Not bad Yevor, you and Shiny here. You’re certainly not makin’ this easy on me, are?” She said with a smirk, settling back comfortably into the chair, fingers wrapping around the ale bottle’s neck again and taking a hearty swig. The group of men that had entered the bar earlier were being rowdy, but thankfully hadn’t noticed her. Maybe luck was on her side that night. So far, two generous offers from two very desirable men, both of which not only we’re content to play her games but encouraged and invented some of their own.
Looking around she spotted the other groups that had followed their lead, everything short of an all out orgy at one table to their left, in one of the darker corners of the bar. “Looks like we’re a couple a trend setters. Who’d a thunk it?” She said giving a high whistle to one of the more disheveled couples. They didn’t notice, but Kailani was glad to give her appreciation nonetheless.
“Nice job.” Tucking a loose curl behind her ear she glanced to Asyr claiming his credit. The game was moving quickly and dice exchanged hands.
"Here, watch for yourself. No tricks at all. Just some rather naughty dice.....they must have picked up some of mine. Good thing I have lots to spare at least."
Kailani watched with interest, taking a moment to truly appreciate the Corellian man. Despite his lesser physique, he was more than above her average take home guy. Where Asyr was cool and pale, Shine was warm. Wonderfully warm as she dreamily thought about the kiss they had shared. Nope. It was all still too closed to call.
“I’ll believe when I see it.” Kai said with a nod of her head, biting on her lower lip as she watched the dice hit the table with a clatter. The two spun about before falling down, adding up to an eight. “See! Proof! Right there! Its all rigged.” She shouted pointing at the dice before taking them in hand, rolling them gently between her fingers.
“So, Shine, if my rum-soaked memory serves, you wanted to hear a story of mine?” She said giving a bright grin to the two boy as she twisted and tumbled the pair of dice between her palms.
“Well, how about this one, eh? My first night as a free woman. First time I rode a speeder bike too.” Lifting a platinum eyebrow up at the pair she smiled wide. “I was supposed to be meetin’ the Prince of Corellia, Rook or whatever and I’d spent all day getting’ ready. My parents were so excited, I’m amazed Mother let me anywhere out of her sight. I was just about done getting’ ready when he showed up.” Fingers moved anxiously about the dice, eyes flicking back and forth between the two men as she spoke.
Drake Hellion, you ever hear or ‘im? Shine, you prolly know the name. A military war hero, just shows up. Next thing I know I’m on his speeder bike, at his apartment and changing’ into his old girlfriend’s dress that barely covered anything. He took me out to this old dive on Corellia, Sharona’s. First time I got ever had somethin’ other than wine, ya know?. Burned goin’ down, but after that I was just hooked. Drake even let me ride his speeder bike around! I ended up crashin’ it at the end of the night, pissed off this gang, but that’s another story all together. I ended up lovin’ it so much I never went back home. Screw Prince or King or whatever his face is. I’m no kept woman.”
Rubbing the dice for a long moment she suddenly tossed them back to the table top, them snapping against the hard wood before revealing their numbers. Double threes.
“You’ve got to be-” Her jaw went slack for a moment before snapping back shut. Standing up suddenly Kailani gave a smirk to the two men. “Well, I guess Lady Luck has a plan for us tonight.” Her fingers went to her threadbare shirt before reaching under it with a single hand. Couple of snaps, and the red undergarment hung loose. It was only a few quick motions before she pulled the whole bra out one shirt sleeve and dropping it onto the table with a grin. The effect of this was something that would be considered questionable in any decent establishment, though at Bennigans it was something most, if not all of them had seen before.
Sitting back down on the table, Kailani leaned back in her chair propping her boots up and knitting her fingers back behind her head as she reclined. “Your roll Asyr.” Was all she said, but the wide grin over her face said enough.

"I do try, Miss Kai," Asyr said with an easy grin as she stood from his lap. He was relaxed now, an easy air of self-assurance resting over him. He was calm, and more than confident in his chances to take Kailani out of the bar with him, and only growing more so as the night went on. It was just the way he worked. The growing buzz in his head certainly helped. Asyr could hold his liquor with the best of them--he wouldn't last long running with pirates if he couldn't--but that warm little haze settling into his mind was a welcome one.
Shine took the dice after him and rolled, adamant that he wasn't using any sort of powers to affect the outcome of the rolls. Why, he even went so far as to keep his hands up and out of the way, as if that would convince them. "I dunno, Shine," said the pirate, drinking easily from his mug, "the evidence doesn't fit your claim, y'know." He grinned and laughed, giving the man friendly little salute with his mug. It was all fun and games, of course. Even if the dice were being generous tonight, but Asyr wouldn't complain; that was just the way it went sometimes.
A glance around as a waiter arrived with their new drinks revealed that Bennigan's was in a festive mood this night. Others had taken to playing their game, or games like it--some much more intensely than others--and the atmosphere was lively. It was the kind of feeling Asyr lived for. And tonight, he thought, glancing to the woman that sat with them, tonight will be the type of night I live for. He slipped her a little grin and listened as she told her story.
Drake Hellion... Asyr scratched his chin idly, thinking. The name rang a distant bell in his memory, but he couldn't place it. Perhaps he'd simply heard it in passing, or maybe he was thinking of someone else with a name that was merely similar. Whatever it was, he didn't know enough about the man to truly say he knew of him. Even so, Kai's story brought a smile to his face, and a laugh when she finished. "I'll drink ta' that," he said, raising his mug and then upending it before he slapped it down on the table with a rowdy grin. "Fly your own flag, kings and queens be damned." He grinned at her as he settled back into his seat. "I like that, Kai. I like that a lot."
Now she rolled. Two threes. A double. The corner of Asyr's lip pulled back into a little smirk. "Looks like she does, Miss Kai," he answered when she spoke, "but if Lady Luck is going to be makin' plans for us, I don't think I'll complain."
His snowy brows lifted when Kai reached under her shirt and started to unclip her bra. And here I was hoping I'd be doing that, he thought, chuckling softly and grinning as the bra came from beneath Kai's shirt and dropped to the table.
"Well now," he said when it was done, "I think Lady Luck is feelin' rather generous tonight." As he took the dice in hand, he looked at Kai as she looked at him, grinning back to meet her grin. "Let's make sure we don't let her down for all the plannin' she's done, eh Kai?"
He spun the dice round in his hand, but as he drew back to throw them onto the table, he heard movement behind him. The four ruffians from earlier had noticed their table. They'd noticed Kai. Asyr felt his muscles starting to tense as they walked over. Sh*t. Here we go.
"Quix!" shouted the one in the lead, the bald human. "Can't believe you, woman. Y' must be desperate to be tryin' to get these fellas." He stopped near the table, along with his three companions. He stood near Asyr; the others spread out around the table.
"Could be," Asyr started easily, toying boredly with the dice in his hand, "that miss Kai here has standards that you just don't meet, friend." With a smirk, he looked up to the guy, then looked to Shine and down at himself. "I mean, I think we both have you beat. So if you don't min-"
And that was when he felt the blaster pressed against the side of his head.
"Look, this one got a mouth," baldly growled. "Why don't you stand on up, 'friend?'"
Asyr's gaze eyes flicked to Shine as he slowly raised his hands. Don't do anything, he willed, hoping the smuggler and Kai stayed calm, I got this. Shine knew what he could do. Kai, though... Kai was about to find out.
Asyr stood slowly, smoothly, not making any sudden movements until he reached his full height. Then he opened his palm and let the dice fall to the ground. They bounced twice when the hit the ground. A four and a three. Seven. But he didn't see it.
"Yeah, not so cocky now, are ya?" The bald man seemed so sure of himself. So sure that a gun would be enough to cow Asyr. "Now why don't yo-"
Quick as a snake, Asyr dropped the arm near the guy and brought it back up tot force the pistol out of line. At the same time he ducked and twisted his body around, bringing his other hand up to strike the guy's hand hard and force the gun from his grip. A single blast got out and hit the ceiling before the gun clattered to the floor.
Then Asyr stepped forward and kneed the bald man hard in the stomach. Before he could react to that, Asyr's hand was on his head, and he slammed it down onto the table. Right onto one of the shot glasses.
Glass shattered from he impact and the man screamed in pain. Asyr saw blood on the table as he let the guy from his grip so he could slump to the ground, but he was already turning his attention elsewhere.
He had no doubt that he'd just set off a powder keg.
