Planet: Agamar Mission Briefing: Whilst important to the conquest of Taris, Agamar is a planet dedicated to agriculture and would be a beneficial asset to the growing Sith Empire. Recently, Lieutenant Baal, under direct command of General Kail of the Empire's O.R.P.A. initiative has been in talks with the Agamarian Council to try and convince them to join the Empire. Due to the lack of any major Republic presence on this agri-world there has been very little difficulty conducting these meetings. However, the minute local Republic forces, under the command of Captain Narthan, have somehow discovered of the success of these talks and are attempting to encourage the locals to resist the growing influence of the Sith Empire.
In order to ensure the successful acquisition of Agamar, General Kail has requested the assistance of the Sith Order to try and remove the thread of this resistance and discover the source of the snitch. The Agamarian Council has begrudgingly allowed the Sith to carry out very small military actions to counter this resistance.
NPCs: Captain Narthan, Unknown/Unknown
Participants: Vorxere (Apillis) Torran Doe (kt) Cho Wroth (foxfire)

D-D-Double post!
So far, the only real kink within the thread from being able to get it rolling smoothly is... Who's going to run NPCs? Find someone or one of us going to rp'em?

I'll volunteer to be an NPC, as long as someone agrees to tell me wtf ORPA stands for.

Double Post! Sorry 'bout that...... Anyways, I'm interested in being the Republic Captain, but I wanted to know a few things, cause I'm a bit confused. Does he have any forces with him? Has he made any headway? Has there been any fighting? Just general stuff I need to know. Anything else will also be greatly appreciated.

Very good questions. And honestly, some of which I'm not too clear on myself. All I did was c/p the Mission Briefing from the Sith Order thread in the Missions board itself. So, the ORPA, I have no idea what it is--I'm assuming from the sounds of it--it seems to be some sort of legislation.
As for the Republic Captain himself, it seems he had recently influenced a resistance movement to get rolling, enough to the point the ruling Council of Agamar are agreeing to the involvement of the Sith Order to quash it. Such operations are typically done by Special Forces units (at least with the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Italy, France, etc etc) to form and/or fuel resistance movements within nation to rebel against its government, so it can presumed what type of force he has is some kind of small Special Ops presence.
Bear in mind, a lot of that is speculation on my part.

According to THIS news post, ORPA is some sort of aid\relief initiative, likely involving some heavy recruitment and propaganda as well.

Alright, we should really crack down on this. We need to start figuring out everything and ya know....yeah, that. It seems like none of us really know what's going on, myself included, we should sit and discuss this thoroughly.

Guess this mission ain't going anywhere? Guess I'll try to get it started. Way I see it, we'll need a couple NPCs, first off the Sith Lieutenant Baal, then the Republic Captain Narthan, and the Civilian resistance. Also might want the Agamar council. I can take care of all of those if need be, though it might be better if one person was Sith militarywho's goal is to keep the council happy in order to bring Agamar into the empire, and have someone else play the Republic military\resistance who want just the opposite. Might also be interesting if someone on the Agamar council was in cahoots with the resistance.
So the main idea is we want to wipe out the rebel resistance. The reason we've called in Sith Lords to do this instead of simply using an overt military strike is to 1. Avoid the appearance of conquering the planet, and instead having them willingly join, and 2. To avoid excessive collateral damage and highly visible combat. Therefore our 3 Sith should be working as a covert surgical strike team.
