Name: Jaxton Raynar
Race: He’s a cross beed. His father was Epicanthix and his mother was Kiffar.
Age: 36
Height: 6’2
Weight: 228 lb
Birthplace: Kiffu
Appearance:
Jaxton seemingly borrows the best qualities of both species in his appearance. He stands fairly tall at 6’2 and weighs around 230 pounds. Jaxton’s body is composed of mostly lean muscle and he sports the body of a runner. He has spent the majority of his life on the move and because of that has a very athletic build. While Jaxton doesn’t necessarily move with grace he definitely moves as a man with a purpose. Even if he doesn’t know where he’s going he certainly acts like he does and always stands tall. Because of this Jaxton can come across as intimidating at times. While he doesn’t hesitate to occasionally scare the living daylights out of a misbehaving padawan he is capable of cracking a smile. While he has a serious demeanor that doesn’t mean he has no sense of humor and he is a man whose capable of laughing and cracking jokes. Jaxton in many ways reflects the posture and style of a military commander and while he doesn’t bark orders he can definitely look the role.
Despite the fact that he’s from Kiffu Jaxton does not sport a tattoo across his face. His mother agreed not to at the urging of his father. Jaxton is Caucasian though years traveling amongst planets such as Tatooine has resulted in him having mildly tanned skin. Jaxton is a fairly attractive man with fairly strong features. He has black hair that is often times pulled into a pony tail and green eyes. He has a scar on his right cheek from a battle with a Mandalore in his youth. He has a scar on the right portion of his chest from a blaster wound and his hands are somewhat callused. Jaxton has the looks of a solider and a man who has seen combat. Nowadays he tends to have a passive and calm expression though in battle he tends to have a more hardened look in his eyes.
Jaxton’s form of dress reflects that of Jedi Masters in his time period. He wears dark robes, typically a black robe along with a black tunic and pants. This is more to reflect his Epicanthix heritage but Jaxton isn’t afraid to stray from his usual dress code. He’s a fairly perceptive man who is aware of his reputation of being fairly serious. He doesn’t mind occasionally wearing the typical brown robe/white tunic combination. However, during Council meetings he tends to dress in a way that directly reflects his ideals and his heritage. That being all black. In battle he still wears his Jedi Robes but wears armor underneath his robes for protection. His armor is mildly resistant to lightsabers in the sense that a glancing blow wouldn’t pierce it. His armor is typically applied to his chest, shoulders and legs. They are made of interconnecting pieces of metal in order to maintain flexibility.
Personality:
Jaxton has always been a man of action. He’s ambitious, a go getter and always on the move. He isn’t a man that actively seeks power but he always believes in seizing the opportunity and solving problems before they actually start. His philosophy doesn’t encourage impatience but awareness of a situation and the willingness to act. Jaxton is a believer in the “Living Force”. He feels it’s necessary to focus on the moment and the people around him and use his insight to act on what’s placed before him. He doesn’t look towards the future or an overlying plot. He focuses on the moment and the facts that he’s aware of and uses that to make a decision. He doesn’t like making assumptions and has never truly placed his faith in prophecy. He feels that the future is fluid and a single decision can change the course of history. His beliefs while not necessarily unique aren’t exactly common amongst his peers. Jaxton isn’t afraid to argue to prove his point and believes that discourse and discussion are the most important processes for The Jedi. Jaxton was unspoken as a youth and as he grew older he learned how to better convey his opinions and how he feels about a matter. All in all Jaxton is a passionate man who never takes prophecies or defined futures for granted. His perception of reality is firmly based in logic and the present moment. While some may consider this a weakness he considers it a strength and believes in relying on his own mind to predict future events instead of the Force. Jaxton isn’t a skeptic and he doesn’t doubt other people’s visions or perceptions of the future. He just feels that it’s better to draw on the Force to gain a better understanding of the present instead of using it to predict the future.
Jaxton was trained as a Jedi Guardian and isn’t afraid to show he has teeth. He is aware that there are alternatives to him drawing his lightsaber and he is fairly skilled in martial arts and offensive force use. However, he feels that intimidating is a perfect way to quell the enemy.
He isn’t afraid to use his status or his blade to show that he means business. Jaxton has realized that the quickest way to ensure that he isn’t attacked is to show that he has a lightsaber. For instance if he has no reason to hide his identity he’ll commonly wear his lightsaber in the open so any goons or trouble makers will be aware of his status. There are many times where he’s been able to enter a seedy bar and discourage others from bothering him simply by making it known that he’s armed and dangerous. This says many things about Jaxton’s character. For one thing he’s passive-aggressive. He doesn’t like to get in a fight unless he has to and strives to make it clear of what he’s capable of to avoid doing so. Many people would assume Jaxton is straight forward and while he is with his friends and allies he’s not with his enemies. He can use word play, vague threats or displays of power in order to keep people from bothering him. If he’s forced to use his lightsaber all pretenses of “passive aggression” vanish and he can be quick and brutal. Jaxton isn’t a fan of violence but he’s fought many personal battles before and is a fan of ending things quickly instead of dragging them out.
While Jaxton in many ways can act like a soldier in the battlefield he has the mind of an honest politician. (an oxymoron of course). He’s smart and he’s dedicated to his job and he’s a fan of debate. He believes that the mind is one of the strongest weapons a man can have and as a result isn’t afraid to use it. There are many times when he’s been selected to go to the Senate to speak on the behalf of the Jedi or meet with Senators. Jaxton isn’t a fan of speaking with politicians or being called one but he is at heart. He just isn’t willing to admit it to himself. He’s an honest man who makes his goals clear but if it’s necessary he can roll in the dirt with the best of them. This all ties into him being a passive-aggressive man who would rather show his sword to intimidate others than draw it. He’s mildly weary of fighting all his life and while he advocates action he is also a fan of diplomacy. Before push comes to shove he will draw his blade and he will fight but he often struggles to ensure that there is no push in the first place. Jaxton knows the price of war and while he’ll fight at the front he’ll struggle to prevent there from being a war at all.
Growing up Jaxton’s emotions were comprised of curiosity and revenge. The urge to know more about his parents and the urge to avenge their deaths. Over the years his experiences tempered his attitude and he’s become a man with much more neutral feelings. As a Jedi Master he has the maturity that reflects many in his class. Jaxton has a strong sense of justice and puts that ahead of his feelings. He feels rage and revenge like any other person but he has no use for them. Instead of pushing his feelings deep down he comes to terms with them and banishes them instead of letting them simmer.
Jaxton isn’t an entirely humorless man. He has a wry sense of wit and a dry sense of humor. Once people get to know him they realize he’s a serious man but isn’t devoid of emotion. He doesn’t mind getting to know people or enjoying a simple night enjoying Corellian brandy. Despite this he puts his priorities as a Jedi first. As a Jedi Master he’s trained a padawan and focused on on-hand experiences instead of lectures. He has spent some time conducting dueling classes and things of that nature. As a teacher he instills discipline in classes and focuses on an active class of participating instead of lectures and things of that nature. Jaxton is a man that demands respect but he is a compassionate person whose capable of making friends.
Jaxton does have his flaws. He can be short tempered at times and isn’t willing to deal with crap. He has no patience for fools and isn’t afraid to let people know when he’s wasting his time. He can come across as harsh when he disciplines his pupils and his reputation for not dealing with fools often results in him losing his temper. While he is good at dealing with politicians there are many times when he’s put people in their place when they begin to annoy him. Jaxton never allows his anger to become too severe but he isn’t afraid to use harsh words with people who annoy him or are wasting his time.

Parents
Jaxton’s father was an Epicanthix Jedi Knight who was sent to Kiffu to resolve a dispute between two warring clans. It had escalated to a civil war between the two different families and they were fairly isolated from the hundreds of other clans on Kiffu. The Jedi Order decided it would be best for a Jedi Knight and a peace keeping force to resolve the issues between these clans. When Knight Raynar arrived on Kiffu he realized that the dispute was because of misunderstandings linked back to trading issues with the Trade Federation. One clan had been getting all the goods and when they realized their mistake they had refused to give the food and materials they hadn’t purchased. This resulted in the second clan murdering the diplomat for the first clan. From there war began. With much trouble Knight Raynar was able to diffuse the conflict and arrange for the Trade Federation to help resolve their issues.
Knight Raynar never actually left Kiffu. He met and fell in love with Deliah Ven. A member of the Ven clan that had been responsible for drawing first blood. She was a diplomat who had attempted to keep the clans at peace and had been Raynar’s greatest help during the Clan War. They fell in love and conceived a child. Raynar was up front about his marriage and resigned from the Order, turning in his lightsaber. From then on out he was a friend of the Order and did his best to keep various clans throughout Kiffu at peace. When he gave birth to Jaxton it didn’t take much effort to realize he was Force sensitive. His father urged his mother not to tattoo his face so he could feel a detachment from his species and clan and in turn view the Jedi as his family. His mother reluctantly agreed and turned their child into the Jedi Watchman when he was around 4 years old. Jaxton was sent to the Jedi Enclave on Mustafar.
Youngling
As a child Jaxton was very inquisitive. He was friendly enough but typically kept to himself. Most could normally find him fooling with a puzzle or using his instinctive knowledge of the force to fool with toys built for Force users. Jaxton learned how to read at an early age and normally split his time between reading, assembling puzzles and playing outside. He had an affinity towards actively using The Force and his own mental/physical skills to get tasks done and learn things. He was never one for meditating and was considered a fairly robust child for his age. He was almost restless to the point of impatience. Instead of this being a warning sign his supervisors recognized that he had the traits of a Jedi Guardian. He would be the one who was always willing to act.
While his supervisors recognized that Jaxton’s attitude wasn’t necessarily bad they did what they could to ensure he didn’t go to off the wall. He was given activities that fit his personality but they never hesitated to slow him down or give him exercises that forced him to sit down and actually be calm. Jaxton never truly appreciated being told that he couldn’t run around outside or spend time reading. However, he reluctantly learned how to sit down and meditate from time to time out of respect for his elders. Jaxton did relatively well in his classes. He excelled in basic martial arts/lightsaber use though he was fairly hesitant in applying them. He never really got into any fights and while he was good at what he did he really didn’t show any urge to show off. However, that didn’t stop him from spending his time running around and frustrating his supervisors with near limitless energy. Jaxton was the type of child who was always looking for another adventure or trouble to get into. He often got into trouble but always for almost escaping school grounds, never for hurting another student or showing off. Jaxton was considered a fairly intelligent and good kid who had near boundless amounts of energy he sought to spend.
Jaxton attracted the attention of his future trainer Master Fin Kento at a lightsaber tournament. At age 10 he was squaring off against someone two years older than him. Jaxton fought smart and he fought well. He was fairly aggressive during the duel but not overtly so. Kento noted that many times when Jaxton could have gotten away with a clean kill he didn’t. Instead he focused on wearing away his opponent’s defense and tiring him out until he surrendered. Fin Kento arranged for some of his friends on Mustafar to keep an eye on Jaxton. When he was 12 years old Kento returned and asked how well Jaxton had been doing. They revealed that though Jaxton tried to hide it he was restless and feared he would not get picked as a padawan by anyone. Fin introduced himself to Jaxton shortly afterwards and revealed that he had been keeping an eye on him. When he asked if Jaxton would like to be at his side as an apprentice Jaxton didn’t even hesitate. He said yes and within a month he had packed up and was ready to see the galaxy.
Padawan
It didn’t take long for Fin Kento to discover Jaxton’s strengths as a future Jedi Knight. The Nauotalan master realized that Jaxton had a keen and intellectual mind with a natural affinity for lightsaber combat and offensive force moves. Jaxton’s approach to test scenarios were basically “walk softly and carry a big stick.” Fin felt it would be necessary to build up Jaxton’s strengths as a lightsaber combatant and a diplomat. At the age of thirteen Jaxton was outspoken and headstrong and didn’t hesitate to voice his opinions on issues or anything of the sort. For the longest time Jax gave his opinion without being asked. While many saw this as stepping out of the line Fin felt that it kept the people he discussed issues with honest. Fin was a Jedi Sentinel who often found himself handling dispute from his starship and while they shuttled between various Jedi Enclaves Jax found himself participating in these arguments and disputes Fin was forced to handle. Fin felt that it would be necessary to put Jax on a mission as soon as possible but before that happened he decided to take Jax to Coruscant where he could build upon his skills.
For the next three years (13 to 16) Jax found himself as a page for one of the junior senators from Corellia. He split his time serving as the aid to Senator Norton and training in the ways of the Force. Jax spent most of his time in the temple training in the arts of the blade, telekinesis and the arts that most Jedi Guardians were assigned. Jax made it clear early in his training that he was a firm believer in the practical aspects of the force and Fin helped train him in that fashion. Jax’s reputation as an outspoken and headstrong padawan was not lost on Senator Norton. It wasn’t long before Norton promoted Jax to an intern position to his chief speechwriter. Jax helped craft the language that Norton would use in his speeches for the Senate and that only helped him grow stronger in his knack for diplomacy. While many couldn’t help chuckle at the irony of Jax’s training. (Him being a Senator and learning the more aggressive aspects of the Force) It helped Jax well. When Jax was 16 Senator Norton was up for reelection and with the approval of Fin Kento Jax traveled with him to help with the brief, six month campaign that would secure Norton’s reelection. Fin Kento gave Jax a training regiment that he followed stringently during his brief separation from his master. Since Jax had yet to create his own lightsaber he was in possession of a trainer blade that was capable of deflecting blaster beams but caused little more than a burn when it touched human flesh.
While on Corellia Jaxton came to his first brush of death. Norton was well respected amongst his counterparts on Corellia but the presence of a Jedi resulted in shadier criminal elements taking sudden interest in him being in Corellia. While he was making a speech Jaxton sensed a disturbance in the force and barely managed to deflect a blaster beam with his trainee lightsaber. Unbeknownst to Jaxton at the time it was a Dark Side member of the Falard. A cult that had sworn itself as enemies of the Jedi that had yet to make its presence known. An investigation was launched but no results were found. Norton found himself in debt to Jaxton and he was an ally to Jaxton in the Senate until his death.
After his six month tenure with Senator Norton Jaxton returned to Coruscant and Fin Kento decided that it was time for them to travel the galaxy as Master and Apprentice. However, he felt that it was time for Jaxton to build his own lightsaber first. Jaxton never felt the urge to build a lightsaber. His skills lied in diplomacy and he practiced with blade work because he was good at it and he wanted to be better. However, he realized that he needed a lightsaber just like any other Jedi and he did want one. Even if he wasn’t in the hurry to make it. Like most Jedi Padawan Jaxton was taken to Illum. Fin Kento pretty much dumped a month’s worth of supplies on a random mountain and left Jaxton to find what the crystals. It wasn’t long before Jaxton settled on a cave that spoke to him the most.
He recovered a yellow crystal and a focus crystal and as always it took him the standard two weeks to create his lightsaber. His first lightsaber was similar to his master’s. He spent a month meditating on the crystal and quite frankly nothing special really happened. He forged a strong connection with his crystal and came out of the cave with a better understanding of himself and his purpose. He realized that in life he would have to use his exceptional skills more often than he wanted to. However, it would be for the greater good. It would be necessary for him to fight for the rights of others even before they realized that their rights were in question. All in all the 17 year old Jaxton came out of the cave ready to embrace his job as a future Jedi Guardian. Fin Kento picked him up and for the next four years they were ready to wander the galaxy; learning about its secrets and putting an end to conflicts.
The Trading Dispute of the Twin Planets
The first mission that Jaxton and Fin handled was the trading dispute of Taluas. The Queen was responsible for taking control of a shipment of starfighters and weapons that a noble had purchased out of his own pocket. The Queen had reason to believe that the noble was moving against her and her kingdom by his sudden mass purchase of the fleet of starfighters and weapons. Noble Gallus was affronted by this (while he didn’t deny the accusation) and used his reasonable influence to cut off taxes and tributes from his region of the planet. In response the Queen blockaded Noble Gallus from supplies and declared him as powerless. Gallus‘ own people were loyal to him and as a result a cold war began. Kento and Raynar headed to Talus to handle the dispute. They hadn’t been there for long before they stumbled upon information pointing to Gallus allegedly hiring a Dark Jedi to help create a Coup De Tat. How? Well this Dark Sider was going to try and take control of Centerpoint Station in order to try and force the hand of Talus.
Jaxton and Fin believed their source (a clerk for Noble Gallus’ chief of staff) and rushed to Centerpoint Station. They engaged the Dark Sider who turned out to be another member of the Falard. He was a master of Djem So and a skilled practitioner of Juyo. He wielded a double bladed saber which effectively held off Fen and Jaxton for sometime. Eventually they forced him deeper into the facility and in desperation the Dark Sider lashed out and severed a few of Fen’s tentacles. Temporarily blinded by the pain Jaxton found himself on his own. He managed to hold off the Dark Sider with his skills at dueling. The Dark Sider was growing exhausted after his drawn out fight and was taken by surprise when Jax forced pushed him into loose piping, impaling him. The Dark Sider was quickly succumbing to his wounds and a wounded Fen interrogated the Dark Sider for his reasoning and he revealed his identity as a low tier member of the Falard. He mentioned how the Jedi would “pay for their sins” before he died.
Crisis on Kiffu
Jax was all for discovering who the Falard were but Fen took his time before following through on what they learned. He resolved the situation on Talus. It wasn’t long before they were called to Kiffu when the Watchman of the sector was assassinated. Fen figured that it was the work of the Falard and after some discussion with the Council agreed to take Jax, despite the fact that his parents were there. When they traveled to Kiffu the first thing they did was meet Jax’s father Raynar. Knight Raynar’s wife had died of an untreatable form of cancer. Jax and Knight Raynar reconnected when Jax sensed the connection between them. While they spent their time on Kiffu bonding Jax understood why his father had given him up and why he had chosen to leave the Order.
Jax and Fen rationalized that the Falard killer was still lingering on Kiffu and was going to strike against Jax’s father. Jax came up with the idea of using themselves as bait to lure the Falard member out of hiding. Fen reluctantly agreed and they soon used public and private channels amongst the Kiffu natives to spread out their presence. They also spread rumors that they were nowhere near as skilled as one would expect the Jedi to be. One day while they were searching a mountain range with a starfighter for any traces of a camp where a Falard member could be hiding they were blown out of the sky. For the next week and a half Fen and Jax were forced to find a way out of the mountain ranges while defending themselves from wild animals and a killer that lurked in the shadows. Jax suffered from a leg wound and Fen had an injured shoulder. Eventually when they were starved to near death the Falard member confronted them. The man was a skilled assassin and killer but he lacked the wisdom that Fen had. By sheer will and intelligence Fen and Jax managed to escape the man and lure him into a trap. Eventually the killer followed them into a valley. Jax used his TK to pull a torrent of rocks onto the man and pinned the lower half of his body under the rocks. After questioning him the man revealed there was another killer with him.
It took roughly two weeks for Jax, Fen and their captured Falard assassin to travel back to Knight Raynar’s clan. During that time the assassin killed himself. After hitching many rides they returned to learn that Jax’s father was rapidly succumbing to a disease brought about by Sith alchemy. The Falard assassin had escaped. The last words that his father whispered for him was to not get consumed with revenge. Jax was crippled with grief but swore to not allow himself to get consumed with revenge. Despite all this Fen thought it was best to push the Falard to the side and focus on building Jax’s diplomatic skills. Due to the Jedi’s inability to find information on Falard they temporarily tabled their attempts on tracking down and exterminating the group.
Jax was 19 at this point and he struggled to come to terms with his feelings. With the help of Fen he buried himself in his work and focused on resolving trade disputes, cultural problems and things of that nature. He traveled across the galaxy with Fen for the next three years and proved himself as a diplomat and a man willing to fight when the time called for it. While he was training to be a Jedi Guardian Fen found it necessary to help play him to his strengths while continuing to train him in the arts of Jedi Combat. Jax showed an affinity towards dueling and showed promise of training in an art such as Juyo and Fen had a feeling that the darkness wouldn’t consume him. Because of this Jax put him on the path towards mastering dueling forms. While he learned Shii-Cho he also trained Jax in disciplines such as Makashia and Djem So and encouraged him to follow these arts on a full time capacity once he mastered Shii-Cho. On top of that Jax began to learn acrobatics so he could utilize aspects of Ataru and add it into his dueling. Fen also helped train Jax in disciplines such as Force Ray and Force Absorb to compensate for his mild weakness in blaster deflection. As Jax traveled the galaxy Fen put him on the path of learning how to fight like a warrior, giving him the basic skills necessary for him to advance upon later in his career.
Slavery on Nal Hutta
Jaxton’s final mission with his master would be on Nal Hutta. At 21 years of age Jax was showing true promise as a Jedi Knight. He had taken massive steps towards learning and mastering different forms of lightsaber combat and was showing the buddind wisdom of a future Jedi Master. While he was still outspoken and somewhat self-righteous he was showing maturity. The Jedi Council ordered Jax and Fin to look into slavery on Nal Hutta. It wasn’t something that they would normally investigate but the Jedi Council had reason to believe that slaves were being shipped into the inner rim for child labor. They tracked down a hutt by the name of Zeek who was responsible for some of the industrial industries in the pit of Coruscant. After questioning him Zeek reluctantly gave them leads on Nal Hutta in fear of them turning him in. Jax had his reservations about the mission because he opposed slavery but was given strict orders by his master to focus on forcing the Hutts to stop importing slaves to Republic territory instead of trying to free slaves.
When Jax reached Nal Hutta he was assigned with looking into the underground to find illegal agents linked to smuggling slaves to the inner rim. Fin was assigned to keep up a diplomatic front. The Hutts were under the assumption that Fin had arrived on his own. Jax realized that the best way for him to infiltrate the slave operation was by posing as a slave himself. Jax spent two months undercover struggling to find a link between exporting slaves and the businessmen on Coruscant and other planets who were taking them in. During his brief time undercover he found himself in a short relationship with a fellow slave by the name of Nadia. He wasn’t in love but he really liked her and soon found himself turning to her for comfort that the slave trade couldn’t bring. His connection to Fin was all but gone and he had nowhere to turn to. Jax never really had a chance to determine how he felt about Nadia because she was killed after an attempted slave attempt. Her death resulted in Jax deciding to break his cover and encourage a slave rebellion. Under Jax’s leadership he was able to inspire 4 dozen slaves into turning against their masters. Their overlords were outnumbered and Jax and a small team of his own managed to storm the headquarters of the slave unit he had been assigning to. Jax was able to discover the contacts who were getting slaves in Coruscant but at the cost of 22 people at his command.
He brought the information to his master and Fin threatened the Hutts with action from the government unless they released a third of their slaves and ceased all economic contact with the inner rim as far as slaves were concerned. The Hutts begrudgingly agreed, however that didn’t stop them from making a half-hearted attempted and Jax and Fin’s lives as they left the Y’Toub System. After that Jax was upfront about his time undercover (working in ship yards primarily) except for his shortlived relationship with Nadia. In the end Jax has always seen that as an attachment that helped him through a difficult time.
The Trials:
After that final mission Jax was considered to be eligible for his trials.
At the age of 22 Jax was knighted and promoted as a full member of the Jedi Council.
Jedi Knight
As A Jedi Knight Jax found himself with a new host of responsibilities and freedoms that he wasn’t accustomed to. The Jedi Council were ready to assign him to a variety of missions of a diplomatic nature. However, Jax wanted to refocus his efforts on rooting out the Falard and exterminating them. However, after six months of attempting to track them down he came up empty handed. He agreed to take on the missions that were common for most Jedi Guardian’s and even some diplomatic missions. He swore to himself and to the Council that he would be there to confront the Falard if they ever reared their heads again.
Apprentice
Jaxton took on his first apprentice at the age of 24. His name was Miko Reglita, a young human from Naboo. Many questioned why Jaxton sought to train someone so young but he saw promise in Miko. Jaxton had been assigned to travel to Naboo in order to investigate claims of a corrupt Count who was plotting to overthrow the Queen. The Council’s hunches were correct and Jaxton (along with a group of Republic peace keepers) managed to defeat the Count and his army of droids and mercenaries in a series of skirmishes. Jaxton met the young child while he was visiting his dying father. The Council allowed him to meet his family since Miko had recurring visions of his parents for years and the Council realized it would be better for Miko to meet them and resolve the tension he was feeling. While the 12 year old Miko was on Naboo he demonstrated a keen understanding of politics and a calm and steady personality.
Jaxton was tasked with bringing Miko back to Coruscant and during the trip back he got to know the kid better. He realized that Miko was the type of young man that he would want to train. With the approval of the council Jaxton took Miko on as his apprentice. For the next four years they roamed the galaxy focusing on mostly diplomatic missions. Despite all this Jaxton continued to train in the use of lightsaber combat. He focused on mastering Makashi first and trained in acrobatics continuously in order to prepare himself for rigorous moves that Ataru demanded. He focused on training Miko in the disciplines that he hadn’t studied as a Padawan. While teaching Miko Shii-Cho he introduced him to basic disciplines that would help him master Soresu. Miko was always eager to learn and was a dedicated student to Jaxton. Jaxton soon counted on Miko as a dilligent apprentice and a friend. Jaxton was 28 years old and Miko was 17 when the Falard soon reared their faces.
Rise Of The Falard
Canclave on Jabiim
Jaxton and Miko answered a distress call from Jobreth Plains where a small settlement on Jabiim was located. There were rumors of a Force user bending the people to his will and forcing the citizens in the surrounding area into slave labor. Jax answered the call and headed to the planet with his apprentice. Upon arriving things were as badly as they seemed. Nobody took credit for the distress call and the Force User had vanished. However, the settlement was still gripped with fear. So Jax did what he had done on Kiffu and baited the Force User, spreading rumors that they were not good at what they did. This worked and while Jax and Miko were out patrolling they were attacked by three cultists. While they were outnumbered Jax and Miko weren’t outmatched. Like on Kiffu they had been searching a mountain range. Jax relied on his surroundings and ordered Miko to stay close. They managed to kill one cultist, wound another and scare the last one off. The wounded cultist killed himself before Jax could stop him. While they couldn’t exactly question the deceased members Jax knew what skill levels they were dealing with.
The Cultists they had run into had the skills that most Sith Assassins were trained in but they lacked the ingenuity and general force adeptness that backed up those skills. After realizing what they were dealing with Jax and Miko began to crack down on the Falard. Jax kept Miko with him at all times and realized that the Falard enclave was most likely located in the mountain ranges they had been patrolling. Eventually Jax and Miko came across a non-Force User who had helped the Falard member who had enslaved the Jabiim people on Jobreth Plain. Though he feared for his life Jax convinced him to tell him where the Falard member had fled. Jax and Miko were able to find the cave where the mole had seen the Falard member go to on multiple occasisons. After a few days of investigation Jax and Miko realized that there were 9 Force Users. Jax and Miko were able to create a small miliatia and stormed the facility. they were able to do fairly well against the Falard enclave. Though they all were trained in the Force and had lightsabers they weren’t as skilled as most Jedi Knights. While Miko was handling the majority of the men with the help of his millitia Jax tracked down the leader of the Falard Enclave on Dantooine.
This force user was more skilled than the others. The moment he crossed blades with Jax, Jax realized that he was dealing with a surperior opponent. He was a skilled user of Djem So. Jax began to focus on his acrobatics and blended that with his understanding of Makashi. He was able to go to toe to toe with the Dark User because of his speed and his skill in lightsaber combat. While his foe was stronger and skilled in a form of lightsaber combat Jax had yet to learn Jax was faster. His understanding of acrobatics, speed and the subtle advatnages of Makashi put his opponent on edge. In the midst of the battle Jax was able to decapitate his foe whose defense was more than a little sloppy. At the end of the skirmish Jax, his apprentice and the militia they had drawn together was successful. Jax was able to search the cave and come up with a list of data pointing to the location of the other enclaves. He was also able to learn about the agenda of the Falard. They were responsible for a variety of coups and disputes that attracted the attention of the Jedi. Once they lured in Jedi they would kill them. With a better understanding of the Falard and his own strengths and weaknesses in dueling Jax decided to wipe out the Falard once and for all.
Environmental Crisis of Korasa
After studying Makashi and feeling that he had mastered it Jax felt it was time for him to focus on Ataru. He felt that Ataru would be a natural form of lightsaber combat for him to master since he had been studying acrobatics since a young age. To him Ataru was a combination of the aggression of Makashi and the fluid movements that acrobatics and martial arts had to offer.
During his time training in lightsaber combat Jax actively trained Miko as well, focusing on his apprentice’s understanding of Soresu. While they were training they were called into the Kamino System to help with a environmental crisis. Korasa had always been a moon literally covered in snow and ice. It was a dangerous place to be when it was orbiting Kamino facing away from the sun. A group of technologists had decided to update an outpost on the moon. However, due to technical difficulties they found themselves stranded on the moon. Jax and Miko were assigned to land on Korasa and help rescue them. The Jedi decided to play a hand in this simply because they were close to the system and didn’t want to risk anymore stranded Kaminoans. When Jax and Miko landed they were able to get the stranded Kaminoans onto their starship. Unfortunately while taking off the intense weather resulted in the engine’s fuel freezing and them being forced to crashland.
While they were stranded they were confronted with rapidly dwindling supplies and freezing weather. Being outside for longer than a few minutes could result in freezing to death. Jax realized that it would take 28 standard hours for them to face the sun again and thus have the increasing temperatures necessary for the fuel to melt and them to take off. During their time waiting Jax and Miko were forced to stop various dispute between a Kaminoan who was attempting to steal supplies. Other than that all they could do was sit and wait. Miko showed remarkable patience during this time and spent most of his time meditating. It was during this time that Jax felt it was time for Miko to make his own lightsaber. (Jax had provided him with a spare blade during their time on Jabiim and training). Eventually their starship was ready for take off when Korasa was facing the sun. The starship landed on Kamino and the Kaminoans were dropped off with little incident.
Canclave on Tatooine
After dropping off Miko on Iluum Jax decided to track down the Falard hiding in Tatooine on his own. It would take less than a month and he rationalized that Miko could take care of himself. The Falard on Tatooine had been hiding amongst the Tusken Raiders and Jax felt he should atatck them before they actually tried anything. To Jax a preemptive strike against the Jedi killers was the wisest decision to make. With the permission of the council he was able to get the help of 6 other Jedi Knights. They infiltrated the Tusken Raider clan where the Falard were located. This planning took less than a week and the Jedi were forced to move fast in order to root out the Falard. It wasn’t long before they were able to find the Force Users in the clan. Unfortunately their cover was blown before they could actually attack the Falard. The clansman took note of one of the Jedi’s irregular actions and brought his suspicions to one of the Falard members.
The Tusken Raiders managed to pick out the intruders in their camp and the Falard attacked them all at once. Jax and his team were suspicious and wary enough to not be taken wholly by surprise. In an intense battle the Knights squared off against the Falard! The Tusken Raiders were wise enough not to intervene. Most of the Falard (8 or 9) were on the level of basic Jedi Knights. The other? Far more skilled. The Jedi Team were able to eliminate most of the Falard with little trouble. Jax found himself squaring off against the two unofficial leaders of the Falard while his teammates were occupied. Jax relied on his skill in Makashi and Ataru to defend himself from the Dark Force Users. While Jax put up a good fight and was able to wound one of his foes he was ultimately overwhelmed. Just when he was ready to give himself to the Force and die peacefully a teammate showed up and helped turn the tide. In the span of three weeks Jax and his teammates were able to root out the Falard in Tatooine and put an end to them.
Thievery on Kuat
At the age of 30 Jax was making quite a name for himself in the Jedi Order. He along with Miko were personally responsible for rooting out 5 of the Falard enclaves spread throughout the outer rim. On top of that his constant training in lightsaber combat was putting him on the fast track to practicing Juyo. Having mastered Ataru and Makashi he slowly but tentatively began to immerse himself in the most ferocious form of lightsaber combat. While he studied the skill he still insisted on Miko pursuing more passive forms such as Soresu. Miko had little complaints with this and while they both practiced different forms of lightsaber combat they still had a fairly strong bond.
Jax and Miko were called to investigate claims of starship thievery on Kuat. Kuat turned out to be another enclave where the Falard were located. Jax figured they could kill two birds with one stone and requested for a Jedi Strike Team to be on standby in case they stumbled across the location of the Falard on the planet. It soon became apparent to Jax that the reason why the ships were disappearing was because of the Falard. They were attempting to steal starships and use them to amass an army. Clearly it was in its beginning stages and they had little support but they were trying to move on the offensive instead of the defensive front Jax had forced them into.
Miko caught a Dark Sider user in the act of stealing a ship while Jax was investigating the location of an enclave in the southern regions of Kuat. The Dark Sider defeated Miko with ease and tossed him in a cargo crate hidden amongst the ships with a limited supply of oxygen. Instead of killing himself the Dark Sider surrendered and when Jax tracked him down he taunted him about Miko’s impending death. He told Jax that the only way he would be able to discover where Miko was located was by using the Dark Side. Jax was not convinced. Instead of using the Force he instead relied on his skil of psychometry that his Kiffu heritage had afforded him. He analyzed the clothing of the Dark Jedi with his abilities and was able to pinpoint where Miko was located. Afer finding where he was Jax tracked Miko down in about 4 hours and rescued him from the verge of death. Despite the fact that he didn’t fall to the Dark Side Jax was deeply disturbed that he had considered torturing his captive.
After saving Miko they arranged for the Dark Sider to be able to escape. While they didn’t release him they made it easy for him to get free of the prison he had been placed in on Kuat. When he escaped the Dark Sider immediately made his way towards the Kuat shipyard, albeit sneakily. The Jedi Strike team (led by Jax) tracked him to the enclave and confronted the Jedi. They were able to eliminate the Falard and Jax used disciplines he had learned from Juyo against the master of the group. He had a natural affinity towards that Form and realized that he was able to end that battle much more quickly then usual. Jax realized that Juyo was a form that allowed him to put an end to conflicts quickly as long as he didn’t allow the natural darkness of the form to consume him. After that Jax trained in the form eagerly though he didn’t master it for some time.
Jedi Master
At the age of 32 Jax was promoted to the rank of Master while his apprentice was promoted to Knighthood. The Jedi Council felt that he was highly deserving of the rank because of his actions against the Falard and his effective training of Miko. Instead of seeking the role of Jedi Guarding like Jax he instead chose the position of Jedi Consular. They parted on good terms.
A Second Lightsaber
Jax went on hiatus from missions for two months to construct a new lightsaber that reflected his Master status. Jax wanted to create a blade that would have a better grip and better sense of balance for the style of Juyo. Jax was also interested in his blade being purple and constructing it with electrum. Jax didn’t do this out of a sense of pride but mainly because he wanted an attractive blade. He wanted a weapon that would tell his foes that he was not to be trifled with. Jax felt like a blade that reflected his rank would only reinforce his philosophy of “carrying a big stick.”
Jax headed to Abgregado-Rae and convinced a miner to supply him with electrum. Jax promised that he would find a way to pay the man back one day. He just made it clear that as a Jedi he held no personal funds and it would be difficult for him to pay in credits just yet. The miner was a friend of the Jedi Order and agreed. Once Jax composed the electrum he spent the rest of his time on Abregado-Rae constructing a specialized hilt. When he found it was time for him to achieve a focus and color crystal he headed to Illum. Jax scaled one of the tallest peaks on the planets in hopes of finding the rare crystals he was looking for. During his travels he ran into several Gorgodon and wound up receiving a set of deep scratches across his chest while attempting to convince one to flee instead of him being forced to kill it. He carries these scars as a sense of pride for choosing diplomacy over fighting to this very day. (Though he was ultimately forced to kill the beast but that’s after he exhausted all of his options.)
Jaxton found the crystals he was looking for and spent a month and a half in deep meditation. During his time meditating he again found himself realizing that he would have to fight an inner darkness that most practitioners of Juyo had. Despite this Jax decided to pursue the lightsaber from of combat, feeling that he could control his emotions. Shortly after he completed his second lightsaber Jax stumbled across a nest of Gorgodon and chose to flee instead of killing them.
The Last Enclave of the Falard
At the age of 34 Jax was a truly accomplished Jedi Master. He had yet to take another apprentice but he had spent time tracking down Dark Jedi and using his skills of diplomacy to handle disputes that threatened the peace on Mid and Outer Rim planets. Jax was under the assumption that they had taken out the last of the Falard and had been spending the last few months on Coruscant. However, word came of a powerful Force User on Gyndine who was responsible for the death of a Jedi Master who had traveled there on a standard diplomatic mission. Jaxton investigated the claim, thinking that it was one Dark Jedi and not the Falard. He was met with surprise when he tracked down the killer and the man made it clear of the organization he had dedicated his life to. Jax soon found himself in the battle of his life when the cultist engaged him. The cultist like Jax was a practitioner of Juyo and he used it with frightening skill due to his dedication to the Dark Side.
Their duel took place in a shipyard and both Jax and his opponent heavily relied on TK and other Force applications to keep each other distracted. They were both evenly matched and Jax again was met with the temptations of the Dark Side. He just knew that if he answered the call of the Dark that was beckoning him his skill would greatly increase. While battling Jax realized that he simply couldn’t answer that call. In the midst of their fight Jax switched to Makashi. The more elegant bladework of Makashi would hopefully help him pick away at his opponent’s defense. The man was focused on the offense and he had mastered Djem So before Juyo. His pattern of training meant that he lacked the skills in defense that Jax had learned from Makashi. Using his ability of Battlemind Jax settled into the spirit of a warrior and focused on speed instead of strength. He was able to keep the member on his toes due to his sudden switching of styles. Eventually Jax saw an opening and executed Sai Chai, decapitating his opponent. Jax asked for help from the Jedi Council they assembled a Jedi Strike team and the group headed to Gyndine. With the help of his strike team rooted out the rest of the Falard. They were able to root out the last of the Falard, since then they have been all but extinct.
For the next two years Jax focused on mastering Jar’Kai a form of lightsaber combat that involved him using two blades. He again continued to act at the behest of the Council, working as a Jedi Guardian to end disputes and occasionally used his skills of diplomacy to help represent the Jedi for specific issues in the Senate.
High Council
At the age of 35 Jax was elevated to the High Council due to his dedication to the Jedi Council and his successful attempts at diplomacy and rooting out the Falard.
Roleplay Sample:
Rowland - Senator from Ord Mantell whose trying to ensure peace between the Ship Yards owned by Rexton and his allies.
Rexton - Ship Owner with considerable power whose attempting to force the Senate to lower taxes that he’s forced to pay due to him being a large business owner for starships.

- Skill: The Jedi Order decided that it would be best for Jax to fight a real opponent. At 22 showed a true affinity towards lightsaber combat and the Fin was more concerned about Jax falling to the Dark Side then him failing in combat. To test his ability to remain on the Light Side in the heat of combat the Jedi Council assigned him to track down a Dark Jedi who was the responsible for the death of a promninent ambassador on Naboo. Jaxton tracked him down to Rori and the Dark Jedi wound up finding him instead of the other way around. His name was Zantos and his mastery of the form Juyo was frightening. Jaxton found himself in the fight for his life on the swamp ridden moon of Naboo. Zantos was roughly 4 or 5 years older than Jaxton and while his mastery of the force wasn’t as intuned as Jax’s his strength and ferocity in combat was intense. Jax was forced to focus on his surroundings and his budding skill in Makashi to poke at Zantos’ lack of defense. Jax fought smart instead of hard and since he reserved his strength instead of relying on it he was able to ware away at Zantos’ defense. Eventually Zantos slipped up and Jax performed Cho Mai and Shiak to Zantos’ abodomen. Zantos survived and Jax was able to put him into custody. To Jax’s knowledge Zantos is still in the custody of the Jedi Council.
- Courage: Fin submitted Jax’s actions in his slave rebellion on Nal Hutta as his display of courage on the trials.
- Flesh: Jax was forced to deal with the death of his father shortly after he turned 18. The Jedi Council considered that to be adequate pain that he was forced to confront and come to terms with.
- Spirit: Jax returned to his birthplace on Kiffu to meditate and come to terms with who he was as a person. During his meditation he was forced to accept that he would always be forced to struggle with inner darkness. He had great skill in combat that could be augmented by the Dark Side and he would always struggle to stay within the Light without falling towards the temptations of great power and prowess as a Sith. Jax realized that he would be obligated to use his skills as a combatant to diffuse conflicts and would have to constantly fight against falling to the Dark Side during his many missions.
It all started when a Senator had mentioned that his constituents in the southern sector of Ord Mantell. Apparently they were being frustratd by the heavy taxes on their shipyards. The particular area in question was The Ten Mile Plateaua. A place not far from where the ship yard was located. The surrounding cities and businessmen of that area were showing discomfort at the recent tax programs against Ord Mantell. What confused Jax the most was that they had never complained before. While the taxing was hard it was fair. They had more than enough of a profit after the taxes went through. Lately the protests had gotten so intense that a peace keeping force was assigned to cut a deal with the Council that was responsible for most of the riots. Jax had been assigned on the mission because of his skills as a diplomat and his ability to defend Senator Rowland (the leader of the resolution team) if push came to shove. Jax saw this mission as nothing more than appeasing the greedy and he didn’t like that they would have to make some sort of deal.
However, it was hardly his place to speak out against what Rowland come up with. Even if he wanted to. He could guide the discussion and make his own suggestons but he wasn’t responsible for the decisino that was made. As long as they walked away with a peaceful resolution the High Council would be happy. Still, Jax couldn’t shake the unhappy feeling he normally got when dealing with politics. That being that theyw ere being forced to make some sort of deal with the devil. The Jedi Master resisted the urge to sigh as he stood in the corner of the room, hands clasped behind his back as he kept an eye on the precedings. Senator Rowland was doing everything within his power to keep things under control despite all the yelling that was going on. Council Member Rexton was demanding lowering taxes and free advertisement on the Holonet Channels in Coruscant in exchange for quelling the riots and the unrest that Rexton had helped spread. A frown crossed Jaxton’s face. They were dealing with criminals. “You are demanding too much for a sector that has some of the best advantages for ship trade. Your market rivals Kuat and yet you still demand more? This is greed and nothing more.”
And with that sentence yelled by Rowland Jax realized he would be standing here for the rest of the afternoon. He had been hoping to get this over with under two days but he doubted they would be here any lesser than a week. As the arguing continued Jax slid into a meditative state. He expanded his senses towards Rexton and tried to discover exactly what he wanted. That’s when he sensed danger. Jax couldn’t tell where or what but something was going to happen. And soon. Jax’s eyes flickered over the crowd. Now that he thought about it Rex had been doing an awful lot of stalling. Jax closed his eyes fully and sank into The Force. He expanded his senses through the cramped building they were in and serached with someone who had true malicious intent. He sensed hatred, dislike and even fear. Malice was different. Malice was when you truly wished harm on someone. It wasn’t long before he sensed the detachment and hatred of a common assassin. And that feeling hatred radiated from the balcony.
Jaxton raised his head and met eyes with a Weequay. Jax frowned, there had been no sensors for firearms or anything of that nature. Rowland hadn’t felt that the danger was that high.
Jaxton gritted his teeth and watched as the Weequay suddenly reached into his dark robes and pulled out a long-scope blaster pistol. The type of weapon that was relatively easy to conceal but still allowed ofor accuracy. Jaxton reached into the Force and called upon it to augment his speed. Time seemed to slow around him as Jaxton ran towards Rowland’s seat and leapt onto the table he was sitting at. He swept his robe to the side to clear his arm and held up his hand. Three blaster bolts came from the balcony and Jax absorbed the energy blasts with his hand. (Relying on his skills in Force Ray). The crowd dissolved into chaos and Jax turned to Rowland’s guards. “Get him out of here!” Jaxton then sprinted across the length of the table and Force Jumped onto the balcony. He landed with little trouble and began to fight his way through the crowd. He relied on the Force to find the Weequay.
It wasn’t long before Jaxton found his way outside and spotted a purple speeder flying through away from the scene of the crime. His gut told him that was the assassin. Jaxton’s hand dipped into his robes and he pulled out his lightsaber. He ignited the blade and hurled it at the speedster. Using his powers of TK he used lightsaber throw to deactivate the speedster. The blade slashed into the engine and found its way back to Jaxton’s hand. Jaxton sprinted towards the assassin as he crawled out of the speedster and pulled out his blaster. Jax’s lightsaber ignited and he began to deflect the beams fired at him with effortless ease. When he was a yard away from the Weequay he extended his hand and force pushed the alien against the speeder side of the speeder, dazing it. A frown crossed his face as he stared down at the killer. This could not bode well. Did he think Rexton was responsible? Yes. An act of revenge like this fit him. He doubted the protestors as a whole were responsible whether they were wrong or not.
Jaxton grabbed the Weeqay by the shoulder and hailed Rowland on comm. “Get in touch with the Senate, Senator Rowland. Tell them we’re not negotiating with these men until we find whoever was responsible for hiring this mercenary. We don’t negotiate with murderers.” Jaxton would ensure that justice would be served before they continued negotiating over something as petty as sales taxes.
