So, Dutch , Meira and I have decided that it's time to reactivate the Dantooine Liberation Army.
Who, you ask? This bunch.
To summarize, the DLA is an insurgency fighting against the Sith occupation of Dantooine. The beauty of the DLA is that it's primarily comprised of normal people - civilians who woke up to find their home overrun by an invading army. Fringers who might have stumbled their way on world and taken up arms to join the fight. It's about fighting back, against all hope, because that's the only thing you can do to try to get your home back, or just because it's the right thing to do. Force users aren't outright banned, but we do try to restrict them somewhat; let the (relatively) normal folk have their time to shine while the Forcies rampage across the Galaxy
Now, we need members in order to make this work the way we really want it to. So we're putting a feeler out to see who might be interested.
If you are there are a few ways to go about joining-
Make a new character, which would obviously be the most time-consuming method, but it'd be the way to ensure your character fits, since they'd be intended for it from the ground up.
Join with an existing character - it's possible a say, fringer or some other civilian somehow finds themselves on Dantooine. Maybe they somehow slipped through the blockade or, if you have someone that hasn't been used or isn't being used often, perhaps they could've been there for a while and decided to seek out the rebel group. There are ways we can make it work. Just know that the Sith blockade means it'll be difficult getting back offworld, if that's what you choose to do.
It is also possible that some PCs could be used as antagonists occasionally, but we're trying to get the DLA itself back off the ground first.
