Appearance: Valo Arrano has a rather pale complexion along with dull green eyes and dark brown hair. He has been known to wear his hair in two different ways in his life however, at the moment his hair is at ear length with small strands of gray visible in the back. He sports a large scar on the right side of his face from an accident when he was much younger. He typically dons a long dull green colored robe along with the traditional Jedi inner vest. 

 For footwear he dons a pair of beige work boots and on his right arm he sports a small wrist communicator that doubles as a global positioning system.



Personality: Valo is known to be rather Charismatic and typically a funny man able to work his way out of tough situations just using his words. However, he also has a problem with anger and can hold a grudge. Being a Knight he does have a diplomatic side to him as well and is known to be able to use the force to calm himself when needed.
 
 Upon entering Knighthood in the order Valo made himself a new Lightsaber. This one showcased his love for battle and aggression in battle which has been commented on by many High Council members as something that should have stopped him from becoming a Knight in the first place. He also has an inept interest in dark side artifacts and the Mandalorian Wars.

Biography: 

 Valo Arrano was born on Coruscant into a poor family. His mother was a cook at a local diner and his father left his mother at birth. Valo showed promise in the force much to his mothers dismay at the fact she would lose her only child. Upon reaching two years old his mother finally gave up and gave him to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

 As Valo grew older it was quite apparent that he was more interested in combat than anything else. He spent plenty of time in the Holocron library reading about ancient lightsaber forms and wars. As time went on he eventually showed signs of greater force ability than the other younglings. 

 When he turned twelve years old he entered the selection phase. Through many trials and tests the High Council assigned him to Master Sitau Marr a male Zabrak in his mid thirties. Through his Padawan years he continued to display interest in the Dark Arts and Forbidden knowledge. Although his Master Discouraged this, he never directly stopped him. 

 His Lightsaber at the time was a gift from his Master, a double phase single bladed blue lightsaber. It was very similar to the blade his master chose to wield. When Valo was twenty two him and his Master were dispatched on a mission to the planet Mygeeto to attempt create a diplomatic relationship with the republic.

 When they arrived they were escorted into what seemed like a large arena. It was there Master Sitau Marr revealed his true intentions. He had fallen from the path of the Light and had been converted into a Dark Jedi... he attempted to get Valo to turn to the Dark side with him but his attempts were fruitless. Valo refused to betray the Order and thus he sparked a duel.

 During the Duel Valo was hopelessly over whelmed by the power of his previous Master. During their duel Valo held his ground for a very short amount of time before managing to escape Mageeto thanks to a speeder that had been left outside. As he ran for the speeder he was caught back into a saber lock where he ended up losing his lightsaber he had owned all of this time. Leaving it, he ran and sped away.
 
 Valo was left on the planet of Mageeto for two days before he managed to contact the Order thanks to another Master who had been sent to look for them. Upon arriving back to the Jedi Temple Valo was guided immediately to the Council room where he was questioned. After his questioning and explaining the council granted him the title of Knight for his showmanship in bravery and combat valor. After Knighthood Valo vanished to the planet Illum in search of a new saber.

 Valo spent one week on Illum looking for the perfect Saber crystal in the numerous caves until eventually he happened upon a yellow saber crystal identical in color to his old Master's. This would go on to be his saber crystal. He made himself a double bladed due to his readings on the power they are told to posses if used correctly. 
 
 Eventually he returned to the planet Coruscant where he spends his days when he isn't on a mission from the High Council or exploring the galaxy.


Roleplay Sample: 

 The sounds of speeders filled the city. Valo was standing alone on his balcony overlooking the stunning city. His brown hair flying around in the wind and his robes slowly flapping behind him. The city was beautiful no doubt but, he knew better than most the stench it hid beneath it. The poor forgotten or just not cared about. It disgusted him. With that thought he turned to face his own home. His saber carefully hung on his wall. The world beneath him. 

 "DD-730 activate dueling programs!" he shouted to what seemed like nothing. He reached out his hand slowly and his hanging saber flew into his hands. Out of the darkness came a metal Droid wearing a black sinister robe. In his hands was a basic Training Saber. 

 "What difficulty, sir?" the droid asked turning on his saber. 
 
 "Surprise me." rang out Valo. The droid looked up and a small light on his chest turned red. It prepared itself and got into a stance. Valo charged it and turned on his saber preparing to swing. The droid however, was one step ahead of him and quickly sidestepped attempting to parry Valo. Valo was caught of guard and slammed into his wall. He looked up, his eyes filled with rage and ran towards the droid transitioning into a slide. The droid barely had time to react moving just in time! Valo's blade however, still hit the droid cutting off its hand. With the droid surprised Valo took the chance, and slice at the droid cutting it clean in half.

Hi there. I'm Captain Bonkers, a completely ordinary member of this RP site. I'm not a mod or an admin and therefore nothing I will continue to say from here on onward has any actual say in whether or not this application will get approved. All the following is meant to be is a series of helpful hints and advice to help you get through the application process faster by doing modifications to your app before any mod goes through it.

So lets get started. Things are fine from name to stats. However, it's at the Force stats that we run into first thing that could use some reconsidering. I'm not saying that it is impossible for a 24 year old Jedi to be at Expert level on two full aspects of the Force but I'm going to say that it is highly unlikely. Remember, your Jedi is a 24 fresh off from padawanship: he may have plenty of potential but he most likely hasn't achieved most of it yet. Safe bet here would either drop both Experts down to Adept level or drop one of them and then explain in the bio that your character really, really concentrated on that single aspect in their training. Remember, everything from adept level onward has to be detailed in the biography. 

Then we reach the Various training parts and I'm sorry to say that these also need some work. Once again you have plenty of Expert levels for a rather new knight, especially in the Force training section. The abilities listed in this category are mostly more advanced techniques with unique benefits and thus take time to develop. A padawan probably wouldn't have been trained in many of these until the final years of his apprenticeship so I recommend you reconsider some of the abilities in the Force Training category. Does your character really need them to play in the way you've planned? An official reviewer is likely to ask about these too, especially since none of the abilities your character has are really expanded on in the bio. When did he learn them? Why was he taught to use them?

Other training is almost fine. The Expert here is on the fence. It's not impossible, just very unlikely and again not really expanded on in your biography for the character. The only thing that needs a little work is the title 'security'. It's rather vague and can mean, depending on context, anything from bodyguarding to slicing. I'd suggest something slightly more definite.

Moving on to the lightsaber training section and here we can find only one really bad mistake, which is the specialist level in double bladed combat. It is a bit confusingly explained in the official guide but Specialist isn't the 'primary form' of any given individual practioner. A specialist is someone who has mastered that form and then turned it into a form of art. Their ability in that one form is exceptional though at the cost of versatility. Since on this site it takes roughly 2 years to gain a level of proficiency in a lightsaber form and one cannot start learn other forms before they're become adept at shii-cho, it is impossible for a 24 year old to be a specialist at double bladed combat. I'd suggest dropping it to adept or expert but the latter will need to be sold in the bio really well to go through an official evaluation.

Finally the bio which is rather brief and doesn't really explain many of your character's skills and abilities. It also needs some work when it comes to lore. In regards to lore there, are two big question marks that need to be adressed. Your character being assigned to a master instead of being chosen by a master as is usual and him not making his own lightsaber during his time as a padawan. Not saying these are wrong choices but they need some elaborating. The lenght of the bio could easily be extended by detailing some of the adventures your character and his master must have had before the master's fall or detailing how your character was trained. Also consider if you want to add anything on his early childhood. How did he adjust being a youngling, did he have any meaningful friendships growing up, any experiences at a young age that might have shaped his personality. Stuff like that.
