Any Browncoats out there? It hurts my heart that a great series with such potential was so shamefully lost before its time.

Yes! Thank god I'm not alone! I love that show so much it's untrue, it's been my favourite show for ages now. I've been lending it to so many people I don't think I've watched it since easter >.<.

I will abstain from passing comments about FOX as I don't want to have to step down due to inappropriate words/actions.

I can't remember when it was I was introduced to it, I believe it was not long after the film was released. A late comer, I know. But still, after watching Firefly the film just became so much more awesome.

I could really talk about this show all day, the things that were good about it, the things they could/might have done and the secrets we never knew.

I remember seeing the ads for it back in 2002, but I began basic training that fall. By the time I was done with training, the show had started, flared brightly, and ended.

Don't feel bad about being a late comer, as I was the same. Happened to hear about the movie...seemed familiar. Looking it up, I saw that it had been based off a television show, and it clicked. Research helped me find the millions of fan sites dedicated to it and given their fervency, I bought the series and watched it.

Again...

and again...

and again...

Repeated the same with the movie. I've had to buy a SECOND set of DVDs because my first set was worn out, having been borrowed out so much.

If anyone doesn't like the show, know I respect your opinion, erroneous though it may be. Disrespect the show, however, and by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you.

I haven't actually met anyone in person who's watched the show and hasn't enjoyed it. There are few online, but I have to read a justifiable reason for it.

But yea, a friend and I have this thing where he'll come over mine and we'll stay up and watch all the series and the movie throughout the night, nachos, salsa and coca cola not too far from our grip. It never seems to get dull, even when I know what's coming. And even now I still find new things in every episode, it truly is amazing. If this series had gone on, I think it may have become huge. Sadly, with the events of the film, I don't believe there's any real way to bring it back. At least, not in a fashion where it would be as enjoyable.

But yea, I'm thinking of purchasing a second copy and letting the first be my 'lending out' copy.

You know how the Pokemon movies work. They don't affect the series. Why not do the same with firefly. And start making the series again! D:

Sad to say where I live I am the only firefly fan. I can, just as Theron, watch the series over and over and over again. I never get tierd! The jokes are still funny. And there is always something new to discover!

I hate FOX and I've damned that and cursed them and tried voodooing them and whatnot?! Maybe the series wasn't as big when it just started out but now it has a huge fan-base. Who doesn't love the show?! If they would just give it another shot! I think they could at least make one more season, see how it goes and maybe quit after that. Or continue! Gorram FOX!

I'm speechless. My hate against FOX can't be described in words. So I'll stop for now. But I'm glad to meet other firefly fans. I knew Jenno was one, since we've talked about firefly before

There was talk about flashbacks so they could bring back Book and Wash, but it's been almost 6 years. All the people have moved on. Summer Glau is kicking butt and taking names as a Terminator....Nathan Fillion has a new show coming out.

*crosses fingers that THIS one won't get cancelled* The man's a great actor, but he keeps getting the shaft. I think the fact that, overall, it didn't do that well at the Box Office pretty much put the final nail in the coffin as it comes to a revival.

Well, we seem to have picked up a lot more fans since this was last talked about. I think this site might be a congregation point for fans, that or we just convert everyone.

So, those who know me just a little whill know I'm a huge fan of this show. In truth, I probably love it more than Star Wars, it's got great actors, huge depth and a story which would have been, I have no doubt, amazing. But it's not just Joss' writing, it's the actors themselves, it's not often you come across a group that's truly solid like this. It's just such a great show.

For those who don't know about it, I seriously recommend you check it out.

I think I saw the Firefly series at the store for only about $40, so I could probably spring for that.
Or use half.com and get 'em cheaper.

What can I say? Talau came up to me in a dark alley asking what Firefly was... I gave her the first disk... and a few hours later she came back with blood shot eyes demanding more.
