Elav shook his head; Keton's doggedness was entertaining, if
nothing else. He knew such behaviour wasn't encouraged by the
Jedi Order, but he was getting used to the fact that neither one
of them were exactly the most vigilant disciples when it came
right down to it. Just as Elav was starting to really relax, he
started to get one of those bad feelings.
It wasn't through the Force, at least not at first. It was just a
mundane sense of wariness that led him to close his eyes for a
second and try to reach out with his Force senses. The Padawan
wasn't that adept at doing so, but as soon as he did the Force
screamed 'danger!' at him.
Before he could say anything, Keton was telling him to brace
himself. Time almost seemed to stand still for the Twi'lek as
adrenaline and the Force pumped through him. Elav threw up a
barrier of Force energy around them just as a deafening blast
seared through the building, bringing fire, debris, and a shock
wave with it.
Elav's gut was slammed against the rim of the table infront of him
as the decibels from the blast reached a level that most sentients
cannot hear. He must've cried out from the unexpected impact,
but all he could hear was a muzzled ringing. And then, everything
went dark.
The Padawan felt his master's presence in the Force, and then
he was on his feet, following Keton towards the hallway.
Elav coughed and recoiled from the pain doing so gave his
bruised abdominals. He heard Tekal say something about "our
prisoner" but didn't catch the whole sentence, realizing now that
the ringing was from all the sirens going off and not just in his
head. "The prisoner? You think he has buddies...? He must be
far more dangerous than we thought if his pals can get ahold of
high-grade explosives." The Twi'lek's mind buzzed, he felt like he
had been tackled by a very angry Wookiee.
Elav pulled his lightsaber from his belt just incase and tried to
focus on healing himself with his other hand. Well, atleast now
we don't have to just sit around...[/i]
