Okay, Zark has been seriously inactive as of late and I for one would like to not have my character die off or do one post every three weeks because of it. I pmmed everyone involved with the Aegis and asked if they would be interested in a new RP, one that is more active, and I got a positive response from most of you. Although one or two I am not sure about... but *shrug*

Anyways, this is the thread to discuss events, missions, 'n' such regarding the GRS Ascension.

I do have a first mission cooked up and ready to roll, although I am more than welcome to ideas for the next mission... maybe even for the current mission.

Well since my doctor wasn't aboard the Aegis to begin with I suppose the easiest course of action for getting her aboard your ship (since she wouldn't be appointed to a starship in normal cases) would be to have her on a civilian transport that is attacked by pirates. I can figure out the reasons if you like, or I can just make it easy and say she was assigned for whatever reason. *shrug*

My main question for now is about the timeline...

Like, this mission, is it taking place after the one that Zarky's commander is in the process of starting? I mean, I just need some background before I post with Pak.


Also, if Crassus is the commander of this ship, is he still gonna run the fighter squadron?


Oh, and shouldn't there be a link to the first thread, the transfer one, too? I thought there was a second thread...


Gah, Pak is gonna be in 5 or 6 threads. :/

k...the Transfer thread is strictly for Jace Dire and myself as a character relation building thread, nothing more.

the time line is set for AFTER the mission with Zark's commander is complete. Supposedly Crass does still crash during it taking fire for (i think it's Pak...or Shen...)....someone...this way it still allows all of us to keep whatever personal plot line advances we were gonna make during the thread.

This'll take a bit of talking amongst ourselves to figure how things went down, but....it's workable.

the thought was (as i know it anyway, correct me if i'm wrong), that after the mission, the Aegis was set to return to the KDY where we would have a few days of leave (i know rah managed another short mission between times). Also, supposedly, the commander of the vessel was classified info, so it's likely that none of us knew who was going to be in command of us...except perhaps his former flight team, I dunno how that would work.

As for if he's in charge of the pilots or not....I have no clue, i'll have to let dire answer that one for himself.

And, okay, that makes more sense then... So I'll assume this is about a week or two after the Scraplands thread (and any subsequent ones).
I'll try to have a post up soon in Subterrel... once I BS some stuff about what Pak was up to during the mission and after, and before the transfer.

After reading Wolfie's post, it seems he's no longer in charge of the fighters.
I assume he'll put someone else in charge in his place, though. Kind of hard, considering we haven't RPed out any fighting really.


We needs more pilots on this ship. Especially now that Crass is out.

Field Crew = Everybody that fights... my sorry, Mara... anyways... no, he is not incharge of the fighter squadron anymore... much to his dismay.

I was planning on putting Jace in charge, seeing as Shen was Crass' second in command in the old squadron. But whatever floats y'alls boat.

Also: I am going to change that to Operational Personnel to change up any cornfusion (thats how we spell it in Iowa, honest )

I don't care who leads the squadron. I just figured it would be based on whatever happened previously, which hasn't been RPed yet. I'm sure Pak is qualified enough, but... I'm not sure I would want the responsibility.
He could always be squadron XO. Lead the second flight. That would be a compromise.

Fight between Mara and Pak, anyone?

this is AFTER the aegis mission, so if you plan on having anything extraordinary happen there feel free to add it into your post. if not, just go post in the top link's thread like you would any other place. either way we'd all know each other from the Aegis except for Cersa who's joining us sometime when Squee is done with her, and most likely Latus' character will be joining us sometime. i still have to talk to him about what's going on

Edit: we all have TWO threads going on, we're STILL completing the Aegis mission AND we're part of this mission.

Okay, I will be posting as Crass later today / tomorrow, so Arh & Eclipse: either post to day or just add on to WIP posts you do/do not have... I don't want to make things hard for you guys... but I want to get this thing rolling.

And Avoim: I see that you already have a character in the Republic Military, you can only have one character in each faction (excluding fringe)
